wellmax:Nice point. Then it used to be "Five Alive" juice which was an import. |
I dont have to read this story. Why would a country want to continue to import food. Are Nigerians so lazy and unproductive to the point that they can't farm to produce their own food. Or you want Buhari to come farm for you? |
Nigerians are generally lame ducks. Here is a foreigner coming to your country to found an Okada hailing service with a bulk of the revenue goung outside. Before anyone dreamt of Uber or the idea of someone getting a ride on a stranger's car in the USA, we had Kabukabu. Sad that no Nigerian ever thought of removing the inefficiency of getting on a Kabu-kabu by connecting kabu-kabu riders to drivers that own kabu-kabu. |
I dont know why the government continue to allow this program to run on tv. Is it because they always want something to distract the youths because tens of millions of Nigerians watch this stupid program. Lazy Nigerian youths would rather watch the program than engage in something productive. |
OROSUNBOLB:Which Poisedon? Stupid Africans! Don't you have local versions of your own gods of the sea. In Yoruba cosmology Poisedon is akin to Olokun. Be proud of your own culture rather than the white-man. More so, the black-man predates the white-man meaning our own history and culture existed long before theirs. You are the original man irrespective of your place in current human society. Everything else evolved from you. |
What's going on with the way young Nigerian male youths die by drowning in large body of water these days. This is like the 3rd incident within a space of some weeks. I love water but I don't move close to large bodies of water because I can't swim just like most blacks. Even when at the beach I only allow water run against my feet. People should be more careful. At least they should have something on to keep them afloat. |
bmos:The guy is probably right. |
GreyLaw:But it looked out of place because the adjoining neighbourhood still look trashy. Lagos state still has a lot to do. Its a good facility but everything should fit in to create a working system. |
kolafolabi:It's actually easy to steal. I am currently in an hotel in Lagos and the TV in front of me will easily fill into my big luggage. But why steal a tv in the first place. Is tv now a luxury? |
GidiWoodsMan:Sorry you have lost all self esteem to the point that you feel the need to degrade others that look like you in order to raise your own ego. Pretty sad. |
TroubleMaker47:Why not leave that to the law enforcement. Leave the Angolans to fight for themselves. |
judgementyard:The fact that she is black and African is too much for them to handle. Though one can't look away from the fact that her wealth is outcome of corrupt enrichment. Same thing well-to-do African-Americans experience in the USA. In one case, a neighbour called the police on his black neighbour who happened to be an Havard professor. The professor was arrested in front of his own house while trying to gain access into the building. |
deolivette:Were, He-goat! I will forgive your ignorance. |
SlamvipeR:Bovi? How can you compare Trevor Noah and Bovi? They are not at same level irrespective of the fact that Trevor is better known internationally.. |
odigbosky:At the end of the day my conclusion is that traveling out to seek greener pasture elsewhere is a temporary solution. Because I found out most Nigerians that left the country at some point are hoping and yearning that Nigeria work so they could return. In fact significant number are returning. But occasionally with bad experience on returning. So, the "demon" we are all running away from is "sitting on the bench at home" waiting for us. Until we all.stop running and face our problem head-on, we are only fooling ourselves. I went around Lagos in last few days and my conclusion is that the weakest links are the government/public officials and docile masses who choose not to question their government. In the affluent areas I see new businesses and structures that were not there when I visited some years back. But in the slum part of Lagos, specifically on the core Lagos Island, nothing has changed. In fact things have deteriorated even more with hoardes of idle youths, inaccessible roads, terrible sanitary conditions. Surprisingly in all.of these, people seem to be catching their fun as if its all normal. We Nigerians have a terrible tolerance level that it's getting suicidal. |
uthlaw:Until you experience the life of an illegal migrant you won't understand. It's by yourself you would wish that you never left Nigeria. Some move from one country to another in search of "paper" and its not guaranteed. You could end up moving through five different Europeans countries with so many years wasted. Experience all depend on the country. If this was pre-2001, maybe you can survive easily using some illegal means to make a living. I am not saying some don't get through at the end of the day but it's an horrible situation to be in. Because we are not God we can't predict and know which would have the best end result. Staying in Nigeria to surmount the struggle or going out in search of a new life elsewhere. But not all that glitter is gold on the other side. The same way there are homeless people and beggers on the streets of Nigeria, there are just less on the streets of US. I certainly won't discourage people but advise that individuals know the ups and downs of what they are getting into in order to manage their expectations. The only way I can advise a youth to get out of Nigeria is through educational means. It allow easier integration but it's also not guaranteed and the outcome depends on the country. |
afonjabreed:Do not let those who think they sabi grammar pass queen of England confuse you. Desperateness as used in the sentence is okay. Desperateness and Desperation are both identifiable words with specific meanings. Desperateness: the state or quality of being desperate. As used in online blog writeup: "Most of us never have to experience and then survive the desperateness of imminent death." Source: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/tour-duty/201304/desperateness%3Famp&ved=2ahUKEwiT1IDP9_7jAhXUoFwKHR1UB7k4ChAWMAN6BAgJEAE&usg=AOvVaw1WKeA6xAj47bcCxw5L-qWL |
I met a Taxify driver yesterday who said that a US visitors visa is all he needs to have a good life in the US and that a job is waiting for him. That got me cracking. When I told him that no one is going to employ him because he has to live as an illegal alien once his visa expires, it's like I was talking gibberish in his ears. Too many ignorant Nigerians. |
My father used to say "I am sorry" or "I am sorry I was wrong" to me, many times right from my childhood days. I will just say its a question of how enlightened the parents are. Not a question of how educated they are. Same way I apologize to my kids if i am wrong about anything. |
hammerVJ:You think Nigeria is scary, then go try USA. Though they are hiding it from the world. As at last week there has been 255 mass shooting in United States in 2019 alone. Just last week or there about 29 people were massacred in separate incidents. Last Thursday my daughter shared a post with me of mass shooting threat at the Wal-Mart in our neighbourhood. Your kids go to school or you go to shopping mall and you are never sure of what could happen. And worse part is most recent shootings targets Mexicans. If it were easy to identify Nigerians in the US, some crazy white dude would have done that because Trump often mention Nigerians in his usual anti-immigration rants. It's easy identify Mexicans unlike Nigerians who can't usually be distinguished from African-Americans. Stop your rants about "hotel in Africa" as if Africa is just your hometown. I am posting this from an hotel in Lagos. Stayed here multiple times and no issue. |
Jayslicky:Is because they know the would be caught. There are video evidence. Human being are the same. Stop demonizing yourself and people of your kind. |
realestniggah: ![]() Funny but better take what come to you or go on the street to proclaim your own RevolutionNow. When real men fight for the weak its the same people that are been fought for that would criticize them. It's OYO . |
The Department of State Services (DSS) has approached the Federal High Court in Abuja to seek permission to detain the convener of #RevolutionNow, Omoyele Sowore, for 90 more days pending the conclusion of its investigation. So DSS arrested someone for such a serious crime without carrying out or completing proper investigation. DSS and EFCC are like brother and sister. They do investigation after arrest. |
Halo22:He was even more violent in his utterances. Buhari said "dog and baboon will be soaked in blood". Which one sound more violent, shouting "RevolutionNow" or shouting "dog and baboon will be soaked in blood"? |
livebyday:To be honest, don't let us fool ourselves. Most of what you see happening during Jonathan time was driven by corruption funds and high price of oil. That's when oil price was at its highest ever. |
GloShare:If you are not lazy you can use Google to know how Saharareporters is funded. For the fact that it's an America-based entity money cannot just flow into their account anyhow especially from Nigeria. Secondly they do not accept adverts so as to stay objective in their news reporting unlike quake newspapers in Nigeria. |
Jayslicky:Big lie. How about the politicians and public officials stealing left and right? What have they done about that. People who are been robbed in the daylight and would even give a song of praise to the pen-robbers. |
Komu1048:Don't be fooled. Most of such posts are coming from paid online mercenaries. |
bid4rich:Even Buhari led his party public protest against Jonathan. |
Kajoka:No, since the days of Babangida. One of his first protests was against Babangida scam IMF loan which IMF later admitted recently was a failure as most of their loans given to African countries. |
Kajoka:Most of those ruling Nigeria are low IQ individuals especially those in the security forces. |
trevormide:No, it was Rivers AAC candidate himself that sold out. Not Sowore. Every state candidate worked independently. The party at the national level distanced itself from the Rivers state candidate decision to work with Amaechi. Stop spreading lies. I suspect you are one of the paid internet mercenaries. The amount you are been surely won't get you out of poverty. |
