I was just imagining how that could happen after I saw the title. So I was shocked to read in the post that prior to the accident the windshield on the planes were bolted from outside. Really. That's pretty dumb from designers and engineers with no sense of imagination for what could possibly go wrong. |

Not unusual for kids of opposite gender to have feelings for each other. It does not have to be sexual. My crush then while at primary school at ADRAO International was Iyabo. I was probably around 8-10yrs cause I started school early. I didn't really expressed it to her but showed it in a different but crude way by doing stupid stuffs to taunt her along the school corridors.. Funny enough I ran into her many years later at a Jamb exam center. She was still so beautiful. I still have memories of her face in my head. That was such a long time ago. Writing letter is another level. I wouldn't have done that because I was sure some adults or our class teacher will see it. Like the case of a classmate in high school (Sola) who was called out by the principal in the morning assembly because a love-letter sent by Sola's girlfriend from another school ended up in the hand of the principal. Ask me how? The principal and poor Sola share a very similar surname with almost the same prefix. One is "Oshun" and the other is "Oshin". I guess the mailman thought the letter was for the principal. Sola's nickname from that day onward was "Loverboy". It was one of the oldest (all boy) schools in Nigeria that's located in Lagos. If I happen to run into Sola today, the first word that will come out of my mouth is "Loverboy". |

He was modestly dressed and did not appear to be someone in a terrible financial situation. That didn't even cross my mind when I saw him a distance away while I was waiting for a Taxify ride.

This is just to tell you human migration is just a normal thing in life, people will always want to move seeking a greener pasture China's population is 1.4 billion. They try so much to keep abreast with top world countries, but the negative gravities pulling them down are severe. India with its 1.3 billion people is still the poverty capital of the world. Let the World Bank and IMF be fooling you all that Nigeria which is just about 200 million people is the poverty capital. It's a way for them to get back at Buhari for refusing IMF currency devaluation agenda. If you know the way western powers work you will understand their game plan. They work like mercenaries in cohort with their western media houses. Have you ever heard of economic mercenaries before? Politics › Re: Court Reviews Omoyele Sowore's Bail Condition From N100 Million To N50 Million by ajl: 2:17pm On Oct 21, 2019 |
PoliticalWitch: If Sowore is serious, he should contest again in2023...after he has done the hardwork at the grassroots to raise support.
The problem with people like Sowore (and yes, I admire him) is that at the end of the day, it is only a few people in the big cities that know him, and of those that know him, 75% of them deride him.
All the corrupt polticians Sowore is fighting against, they are in power because many of them , corrupt as they are, always make sure they have a large mass of support in the grass roots. It is sad .....but it is the fact.
If I went to a village in Sowoere's LGA, and mentioned his name, very few people would know him, but if I mention Tinubu, Obasanjo, Buhari, even Orji Kalu, people would know them.
Sowore is doing a good job....but like late Gani Fawehimni, if people do not know you, you will fight alone and alone you would fight. (And even if people know you, self preservation and tribal interest take preccedence...as MKO Abiola found out). Even if his 'revolution now ' PROTEST held....how many people would come out ? Maybe 5000 in Lagos, a handful in Abuja, and zero elsewhere.
Because if you want revolution, start from THE GRASSROOT. That's why people like Buhari, bad as he is, is ruling over us. And that is how GEJ got votes in 2011 and 15 across the country...because people KNEW who they are. If you campaign on the pages of newspapers...that less than 1million Nigerians read, talkess of internet...noone would know you.
So Sowore should FACE REALITY. The reasons your points seem valid is because the country is filled with mostly illiterate people. For true democracy to foster, you need a critical mass of literate and educated population that "know their left from right". |

amaridigital: Some are even calling it witchcraft chicken because of the colour. Is black colour associated with bad things and witchcraft? How can dark skinned people use bad words on anything black? That's the handiwork of their evil white masters. It's a game of the mind. To dominate and suppress your targets you have to make them subconsciously assume everything about them is bad or evil. That will make them trust you instead of one of their kind. You will even make them think that their God is white, and also that his most popular prophet is white (e.g. Jesus) even though he was not. You have to make them think you are the embodiment of all that is good, beauty, etc. But meanwhile only Black people are first human because every other race evolve from Black people. Many ancient civilizations were dominated by Black people, from Egypt to Nubia, the Moors. Have you ever heard the saying "black don't crack". Compare adult black man/woman to a white man/woman of same age. Most likely the white would look older with fairly wrinkled skin. Some white will even go to the extent of sun tanning their skin to have a light brown skin. My point is that for your enemy to make you submit to him willingly he first need to gain control of your mind to the point that you offer yourself to him without a fight. For example, if you as a Nigeria go to an hotel to get a room and as you were been attended to by the receptionist a white couple comes into the reception desk, it's very likely the receptionist will leave you to attend to the white couple. This is a narrative from people experience. Though it may not happen 100% of the time. It's a battle of the mind. So far the Caucasian are winning. Blacks are superhuman who have lost a lot of their abilities mostly through their own shortcomings by not been able to suppress the negative virtues in them. |

Its not a big achievement bagging a first in a foreign institution, what white folks are more interested in is research, invention and using their brains and skills to create solutions to global challenges not doing your easy assignments and writing exams based on what they taught you, where lecturers want you to pass, unlike in Nigeria where lecturers and professors only derive joy when you fail or get a low grade in their course so you can come sort them or Bleep them like we have been hearing, so stop hailing her cos most Nigerians schooling in Nigeria will graduate with first class abroad if given the opportunity to travel out to study abroad. We know most young Nigerians are incapable of critical thinking and depth but try to READ and UNDERSTAND what is put in front of you. I.know its difficult for you ..but try.
Aisha has misunderstanding with extended family ...that is 90% of all families in the world.

dederocs: Government needs to also have an Agricultural agency/board, that will be run by proffessionals, managed by private consultants, who are proffessionals in rice farming, to grow rice across geo political zones, specifically, areas where rice production will thrive. We have abundant land, and government have the resources. This will make rice production surplus, and cheaper for the people. Everywhere in the world, Government participate in food production, in order to subsidize it for the masses. Regulation and price ceiling by this Agency will also help. Government must intervene to make things easier for the people, this is the essence of government, not just endless politicking, like we see in Nigeria. Government to grow food? What happen to your own hands and legs? Even in socialist countries I dont see government doing that. |

A bag of local rice in my area is not less than 17000. Why? Why do we have to pay more for something we produced ? I don't support any unlawful act against the government. I'm just trying to say for smuggling and hardship to be curbed as regards the rice issue, government should see to it that it is affordable and sufficiently produced for the rich and poor alike How will one encourage local production with the exorbitant price placed on a bag of rice.Is that not supposed to be one of the incentives to encourage local production to the point that increase in production and high supply will force price to go down. Dont be sentimental in your state of mind or reasoning. Are north-east states bordered by countries with sea-ports? Even if smuggling take place in north-east border, it will be minimal and not at the scale of that border with Benin Republic. Its unlikely that rice smuggled into Benin or other ports outside Nigeria will first make it's way up to the point of been exported via northern borders. Doesn't make economic sense. Even if smuggled products via north borders are grown in those African countries, that is still better than allowing scarce foreign exchange to end up outside Africa. Why can't the Beninoise grow rice for import into Nigeria rather than bringing it in from Asia. At least that will still benefit Africa. |

dicefrost: This is where I believe many Nigerians get it wrong. The problem facing local farmers in Nigeria is NOT importation. There are key indices constantly against farmers. Even if you ban importation , local farming will not improve until you fix the fundamental issues. We will never be self sufficient, instead we will just have food scarcity and soaring prices as we have now.
The solution is to fix the fundamental issues. If local rice is cheap, and meets the standard of the imported commodity, smuggling will become unprofitable. It ll die naturally. But you failed to state the fundamental issues. Or is it this " If local rice is cheap, and meets the standard of the imported commodity"? If it is, it's a matter of time. How long have the border been closed? Nigerians are like the proverbial ancient Hebrews, and in reality some of them are without knowing it, so I am not surprised by all the shortcomings of Nigerians. |
