Xavi is more technical and a delight to football. Lamps is a midfield power house that can't be brushed aside. khanye: Why wont they like him? when chelsea dont have a replacement for him That doesnt make sense. With all their money, they could have bought someone else. |

topeorekoy: i think he is valued at 22 million pounds now and i guess united shld be able to afford that if they can pay 30 million pounds for sloppy Berbatov who aint as effective as tevez So because we paid 30 Mill for Berba we have to keep paying it over and over again? The unusual thing about this Tevez issue is that we are not dealing with a club. We are dealing with an individual. Fergie wants him to stay but I guess he wants to knock the price down. topeorekoy: he said his daughter was sick and that was y he didnt come to the dinner and no one called him to knw y he didnt come. Can you hear yourself? Shouldnt he place a call to the manager that he wont be coming? Should it be the club calling him? |

debosky: First of all apologies to Ibime - I got a bit carried away yesterday. Truce?
Next on - Adebayor is opening his gob again, and trust me it's a whole load of bollocks. Now I am not surprised that Wenger dropped him. Imagine a player earning 80k a season saying it's because they don't 'sing his name' that he is not performing?? Wenger should sell this Arrow with immediate effect - he is not worthy of the red and white.
Was Ronaldo not booed after Winkergate? Didn't he come out and regain fans' confidence by his exceptional performance?? Now Ade is claiming that he lost motivation because fans were not singing his songs?? He is claiming it is not his fault that Milan and Barcelona want him?? This doofus is so thick he doesn't get it. How long have Barcelona and Madrid wanted Cesc?? Was he ever booed because other clubs wanted him?? How long did clubs want Henry for before he left? Who ever booed him because of that??
No Ade, this is all YOUR fault. Your duplicitous chameleon-like behaviour over the summer and your stinking attitude caused fans to turn away from you.
Get your head straight - Eboue and Bendtner were booed because of their mistakes, once they sorted it out, they were welcomed back. You on the other hand fail to try and keep making noise and even went to the extent of going to criticise FANS on the BBC for booing you? Are you the only player at Arsenal FC?
Not only does he give a daft excuse, he claims he never wanted to leave. Oh really? Who made these idiotic comments MINUTES after saying one thing during the Euros last year?

He must think we are all stupid and can't see through his brinkmanship. Cesc is worth far more than he is, yet Cesc never threatens the club saying other clubs are interested. RVP never said the same, neither did Henry or players much better than him. Who the heck does this Togolese clown think he is?
Good riddance to this stinking heap of rotten pig carcass. Adebayor should be sold to the highest bidder and we should not look back.

HNIC: 2) The Makelele position
NO! Claude Makelele was not the first player in 120 years of football to play in the holding midfield role, so stop making out like he was. That annoys me as well. We've known about the defensive midfield role for years. I remember Westerhoff was always craving for it. He was glad when he found Sunday Oliseh in 1993. I also remember the first UCL final I watched LIVE. Milan V Barca in 1994. Marcel Dessaily was a holding midfielder. Makalele was still at Nantes then |

Banning it is like beheading a man because he has a headache There are many people that wants to watch footie but cannot afford it. It pains me when I remember I pay N15,500 monthly (N186k annually ) to watch these matches at home. Many can't afford that so viewing centers come in handy. Maybe there should be some kind of regulations. They must be approved by the local police post to ensure adequate security. Like I said banning it is like beheading a man because he has a headache |

Berbatov was so good it took the intervention of Tevez to pull y'all level i don't think you can compare the dynamism and urgency Tevez brings to that forward line to the so-called coolness and calmness Berba brings to the pitch coolness and calmness wont win you games at the JJB they don't play rugby there for nothing.Selling Tevez and keeping Berba-slug would be a mistake It was Carlitos to the rescue today and shame on Fergie if he doesn't keep that boy Worry more over who Wenger keeps |

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: The Epl Is Simply Not The Best League In The World by akinalabi(m): 6:15pm On May 08, 2009 |
The league coefficient is used to rank the leagues of Europe, and thus determine the number of clubs from a league that will participate in UEFA Champions League and Europa League.
The UEFA ranking determines the number of teams competing in the season after the next, not in the first season after the publication of the ranking. Thus, the 2009 ranking determines the proportion in 2010–11, not 2009–10.
This coefficient is determined by the results of the clubs of the leagues in UEFA Champions League and Europa League games over the past five seasons. The number of points awarded each season (two for each win by a club from that league, one for a draw) is divided by the number of teams that participated for that nation in that season. This number is then rounded to three decimal places (e.g. 2 2/3 will be rounded to 2.667).
For the league coefficient the season's league coefficients for the last five seasons must be added up. In the preliminary rounds of both the Champions League and Europa League, the awarded points are halved. Bonus points are allocated for:
* Qualifying for the Champions League group phase. (3 bonus points) * Reaching the second round of the Champions League. * Reaching the quarter, semi and final of both Champions League and Europa League.
The bonus points are added to the number of points scored in a season. With that, here is how they rank. England, Spain, Italy, Germany, France. . . . . . . . . . |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Proof: Uefa Didn't Want An All-english Final! by akinalabi(m): 6:02pm On May 08, 2009 |
When we talk about conspiracy, I look at it in 2 ways.
One is the official conspiracy where the UEFA big wigs will sit down to plan how to eliminate Chelsea. That is far fetched and I dont believe in it.
The second is more like the unspoken conspiracy where officials and neutral fans wont want something to happen.
More like after Chelsea won the league twice in a row and the whole of England outside Stamford Bridge "conspired against" them. Almost everyone backed Fergie and Man Utd to undo Chelsea.
That is the type I think happened. Most non EPL fans d not want a repeat of last year's final. This might have sub conciously affected the referee's decisions.
I don't really like the point of we cannot talk about conspiracy since they did not bury their own chances.
Does their not burying their chances mean the referee should deny them stone wall penalties? |
