Long Post Alert!!!
I want to give God all the glory for his goodness and mercies.
Decision to migrate: 29th July, 2018. I have always known about express entry but I was never keen on it until 29th July, 2018. I got into an argument with a friend turned brother (Rijo) about it. He feels I'm not taking this opportunity now that I have the chance. As Luck will have it, I visited my big bro on the day and he inquired on why we were shouting over the phone. My brother encouraged me to give it a shot. And that was all the push I needed.
ECA Registered with WES on the same 29th July, applied for Unilag transcript on the same 29th July, 2018. ECA came back on October, 21st.
IELTS Registered with BC on 30th July, 2018. Sat for the exam on 8th September, 2018. Scores came back as LRWS: 8.5, 8.5, 7, 7.5. I couldn't sleep that night.
Medicals Had my medicals on 24th September, 2018 at IOM Lagos.
PCC Inspector Moshood to the rescue. He sent it through courier.
ITA ITA finally came on the 29th of October, 2018. I was ready. Had all my documentations ready. I claimed points with my 1 year NYSC. POF was gift deed from my brother.
AOR Submitted my application on the 31st of October. But the AOR letter was dated 1st of November.
Then the wait started.
MEP came on the 29th November, gave my biometrics on the 30th.
Got married and informed CIC on the 3rd of January. I got ADR on the 7th. I submitted the ADR on 10th January. I need to point out here that my ADR was labelled Application Transferred. I paid little attention to that label until I raised CSE to submit updated POF.
The reply to the CSE confirmed that my application is in ACCRA!!!! I was shocked, Mad, Crazy, angry, surprised, devastated. Accra had a reputation. But my wife kept reassuring me that our case will be different. And that became our prayer point.
On the 6th of February, I got a. Notification that there's a message in my CIC account. I logged in to see an interview invite. I was invited to Accra for interview with my wife on the 19th February.
We started preparing with the help of the amazing people in my Accra WhatsApp group and November AOR group.
The interview went well, we spent less than 20 minutes in the interview. The interviewer ended the interview saying she'll send a request for wifey to do Biometrics.
The request came on the 20th. Wifey did the biometrics on the 20th. Then silence. I got worried. What if the interview didn't go well. What if there's something wrong?
On the 28th of February, 2019. The last day of the gracious month of February. I got a notification of a message in my account.. I got scared again.. PPR comes through email. What notification are they sending me in my CIC Account. Only to log in and see the PPR letter as a message in my CIC account.
My life just paused. I started feeling warm and cold at the same time. It was pure joy. Undisputed happiness.
I want to thank everyone especially @newmum, Dumprep, every member of the November AOR group, AVO group and the Interview Group. You guys are the Bomb.
To the people at different stages of the process, Keep faith, Trust the process and more importantly, Trust God. |

Hi Seniors,
I've been following this thread since I submitted my Permanent Residency Application.
I studied chemical engineering. I have an MSc in Chemical Engineering. But my only experience was internship in ExxonMobil. I'm currently in Banking (1 Year Experience).
I do want to find my way back into Engineering. My initial plan was to enroll into a diploma course once I land while doing any job I can lay my hands on to pay the bills.
However, I just got married and wifey is carrying. So this plan isn't very feasible anymore. I'd appreciate any suggestion and different perspective from seniors.

Wifey is disappointed and I'm demoralized already.
In all my practices I've never finished the reading in record time. Then listening that map of 10th Nov gave me issues. Writing I don't even know sef.
I will testify las las. Amen Hey bro.. I understand your frustrations.. I'll try to share some hints that helped me in reading. Don't bother reading the first 2 passages. Just read the questions and go back to the passage to identify the answers. For listening.. just focus. Try to shut out the noise around you and follow what the speaker(s) is/are saying. Good luck |

Rijo02: So our PPR details: FSW-Inland
Apirl 26: AOR May 2: MEP May 2: IP1 June 26: Called CIC and was told that my VO is Montreal (First time to hear that). Something told me that this location doesn't seem encouraging....It didn't sound like Ottawa (LOL). And as I thought, not even criminality was passed after 2 months. Eligibility, of course, was not started July 11: Called CIC again and nothing seem to have changed July 11: Ordered GCMS August 10: Got GCMS and what the agents said were true. Nothing has happened. Just the R10 check which they, funny enough, flagged my RCMP report that I voluntarily submitted for additional review. I have already seen that everything is fine (as I have the result with me), yet the officer wants additional review. Then, review of my wife's statutory questions (she was refused OWP twice)......I wasn't surprised about this! August 10: Called CIC and I was told that my eligibility is in process......I didn't get the clue to order another GCMS as the Eligibility was done on the August 6 which the GCMS did not cover. I decided not to call CIC again out of frustration although hoping to call on Sept 10 if I don't hear from them........... Sept 11: I was busy and couldn't call the previous date. I woke up and saw my friends (he applied 2 weeks before us) text message that he got the PPR. Hence, I said I will wait for 2 more weeks before I call. However, my wife pushed I call earlier which helped eventually! Sept 19: I called CIC twice. The first agent was not useful and the second agent even was worse. I pushed to know if my eligibility was recommended passed or for additional review. Both agents could not answer the question. I am not sure if they knew what those terms meant or they couldn't read from the computer. Then I realized that I was on my own! Sept 20: 2nd GCMS ordered Oct 22: GCMS arrived. Behold, there was a review required (It confirmed that the agents don't know what they were doing). For some reason, the case analyst claimed that I did not include my teaching assistant (TA) job description which was in the letter I submitted. I couldn't bear that. Even at that, he/she did not add the 2 NOC's that I used which other case analysts had done. Well, God still favored me as my primary NOC (which was just used for my CRS calculation) was sufficient. The analyst wrote that I meet the requirements........but flagging for additional review was what I didn't understand Oct 24: I sent an unsolicited CSE starting that I have enough points and the TA job was for just completeness of information. That since the TA job is causing additional review, that they should remove it from my history. However, if they can't, I have attached a more detailed TA job description. Oct 29: I got acknowledgement that the CSE I submitted was received and have been forwarded to the appropriate VO. Oct 31: I called CIC and the agent killed me. Having explained all the disappointments with wife's OWP refusal, long distance marriage, and the 6 months processing time that has been exceeded, she said that there is nothing she can do. In her statement "If you feel you have waited for long"! I almost lost my patience but I knew that I will be the one to loss (maybe a bad note in my account) if I say something drastic. Nov 1: I went to the MP's office. During my discussion with the office manager, she even tried to convince me that ordering GCMS have caused the delay of my processing. Well, that was the fallacious information the call center would have fed them......so no need trying to convince her otherwise. She actually called CIC and was told that they haven't started my security and criminality. That eligibility is still in progress but that I have enough points............so we should wait. Nov 7: During the daily Mass, I asked the Lord what was going on as it was becoming unbearable. After Mass, I was busy in my Lab working and noticed that I have a message from CIC. When I logged in, it was a request letter. I thought it was for passport.......it was marriage photos request. Nov 8: We submitted the ADR......56 pages!!!!! Nov 15: I could not rest well.......So, I called CIC and the lady still behaved like all the agents. She quoted wrong dates for the submission of the ADR. According to her, I have to wait for long as my criminality and security have not started yet. That my eligibility cannot be passed until I pass both criminality and security. She even told me that there is nothing they can do till April 2019. That made me to write a letter to the VO about my ADR submission which I submitted via CSE. Nov 16: I woke up to see an email notification......logged in and it was PPR just for my wife. Happily, I just called CIC to hear from the horses mouth, what next I should do about my own landing The lady told me that it was a wrong email (What!)........that it was supposed to be for me instead of my wife. I was just laughing (as I already learnt from this thread). I asked her to please confirm this information she was giving me. Well, she came back and apologized! She then said that my local CIC office will contact me for my landing within 4 to 6 weeks. Nov 16: IP2 #mystory #ourstory......................Thanks guys for being part of it. We appreciate you all! I'm so happy for you brother!!! Thank you |

smslive2: For the POF... I believe you need to submit both the Gift Deed and the TB Certificate. You can also write a LOE to explain that you have used the gifted funds to buy TB so that it could yiled interest while waiting for your application to be approved.
You do not need your birth certificate for your application, however, you will need your kids birth certificates which include both parent's name. I'm in a similar situation... I'm getting 100% gift deed from my brother.. Which of these 2 options is safer? 1.) Leave the funds in my account, and submit gift deed, bank reference and statements. And buy TB after AOR. 2.) Buy TB and submit just gift deed and TB certificate.. Cc: ifeoma77 Newmum0165 Mcstan18 |

2 things, First its not a possible ground for rejection so please worry not.
Secondly you should thank God you have found out now because many people are walking with serious eyesight issue without knowing. So please go and take care of your sight and get a glasses to correct the problem if needed now beofre it gets worse.
Once again IT IS NOT A GROUND FOR MEDICAL INADMISSIBILITY.

First bank is currently having issues with airtime recharge from firstmobile and *894#. I'm sure your money will be refunded back to you.
For the other issues you mentioned, I want to specifically talk about the online transactions. From my understanding, First bank MasterCards by default is valid for only transactions within Nigeria.
However, you can enable the card for transactions in any country of the world from your mobile app. This is aimed at giving customers some level of control over their cards and prevent incident of fraud. |

I intend to start gathering documentation as soon as possible.
However, I have a major headache. It has to do with my Job experiences being in different NOC.

I studied Chemical Engineering up till MSc level.
I'm at loss on what experience to claim points for.
I'd appreciate any help.
