abbey621: He shut down the airports, got experts together, enacted executive orders and went to Congress for funding. The way the USA works is that each state is independent. The governors of each state has almost the same powers as the president. When state needs additional help they call on the federal government, so rather than put the blame on Trump, majority of Americans are going to hold their state government accountable FIRST! Furthermore, you see those stimulus checks that Trump signed with his big and nasty signature, an everlasting reminder of the person that got their backs Shut down which airport? He closed the border to China indigenes. Those from Europe were still able come in till much later. What about testing? PPE ( ventilator, etc) for Frontline hospital staff? The horrendously skewed deaths among blacks? Give it rest, your darling Trump failed miserably in the response. Come on Abbey, ive seen some of your posts on the American politics thread, and I expect your defense of Trump to be more compelling than this naa. |

bhest: Haba, see ur weak defense... Ur comment was based on ur pure hatred for trump and its obvious so nothing wey u won talk. The reopening would be in stages or what more can you ask for? And base on say some people de die for sleep mean say people no go de sleep again. Just look at what you're saying. He is a monumental failure as far covid is concerned. Those deaths are directly or indirectly due to his irresponsibility. As someone noted in the other thread, South Korea had their first case just about the same with America. But the president didn't waste time making stupid political statements and blatantly false information ( it's just like the flu'), instead they swang into action testing and isolating and today, are seen largely as success. |

When it was time for the mumu to work,he said Corona viruses is a hoax, he begin to play golf,he begins to attend party rallies when Russia and Germany where putting measures to protect their people. Now we can see the difference between Russia and USA. Just imagine 10 thousand Nigeria died from this viruses people like you will call all sort of names to Buhari. And you shamelessly called Trump"great", maybe there is another meaning of GREAT sha. Thank you o jare. I keep saying that the Trump zombies are the worst kind unimaginable. Amhappy: I gave my child rota vaccine in 2016,I payed 25k for it then. That's when I knew the importance of WHO. Most families in Africa wouldn't afford to vaccinate their kids if not for WHO. Maybe the whole immunization cost like 200k how many people will afford that? Please don't use harsh words or insults to drive your point instead clarify with information. Supporters are usually emotional. Thanks. Sorry o sister. Ive modified it. I try but these guys are seriously getting on my nerves. My organization partners with WHO, so I know first hand the impact they have made. Stopping funding right in the middle of the pandemic is a very cruel thing to do. @Bjtinz pls unquote the comment. |

WHO supports vaccinations, malaria control, TB control etc. The free immunization clinics for our pregnant mothers in most PHC across the country is due largely to support from WHO The HIV response, particularly the sound technical advice from WHO provided has been valuable in the control. Much of polio eradication success is due to support from WHO. Over 90% of the people typing trash here in support of their god are direct or indirect beneficiaries of WHO's efforts. edit |

I've always marveled at the near obsessive compulsive need of some empty minions here to defend the action of the hero in chief. Its a mental issue and many of you guys should seek help.
Like I maintained, even if their may be legitimate grievances, you dont defund RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BLEEPING CRISIS!!!
Why not wait till the crisis is over, at least?
Much of the response here in Nigeria, part of why we are to contain this extent, is due to technical support from WHO.
Yet, many of the empty, useless, worthless, Trumptard worshipers are clutching their tecno y2 phones with borrowed 5MB data and typing rubbish.
WHO has done a great job. But, as is the case in most instances, there is room for improvement. |

At such a time in the middle of a crisis is when the buffoon decides to halt funding.
IN THE MIDDLE OF A CRISIS. When even other richer countries are increasing funding.
Is there a worse form of treachery than this??
And the empty headed ignorant elements hailing the action of their idol are just hopeless.
Obviously unaware of trainings, equipment, mentoring WHO has been doing across all countries, including NIGERIA, which has helped contain the spread. |

Right now, there is a very coordinated effort amongst the White House and their allies to try to find scapegoats for the fatal mistakes that the President made during the early stages of this virus," he said.
Murphy added: "It is just wildly ironic that the President and his allies are now criticizing China or the WHO for being soft on China when it was in fact the President who was the chief apologist for China during the early stages of this crisis. His minions will not see this one |

Bonesbrigante: This happened about about a year ago in dunamis street in makurdi.. I was standing and waiting for a bike next thing i heard gundshots pow everybody scampered including myself next thing see plenty boys gathering at one guy The guy was called movement, he went for a haircut and according to word on the street he was a Viking. He went for a haircut in fineboys barbershop in dunamis street very popular saloon if your a student in makurdi. It was retaliation for an aye killed a week before this happened.. i witnessed this happen in broad daylight i fear. Old people around the place were begging for the boy they told the old people that this boy's day has come that he has done too much they shot him and stoned him to death.. from that day i really begin fear makurdi.. i no dey ever pass that street even if they are sharing money there. Not like i am a cultist but the scene i witnessed that day plays in my head everytime. Dunamis street is the most dangerous street around bsu. This Makurdi own is something else. Once I was in GH Northbank and police came in and dumped a man whose head had been split open in likely cult related clash. What surprised me most was the seeming 'yeah another one' attitude of the staff. I was later to understand it was the more or less a regular occurrence, hence the nonchalance. Wadata, Northbank are real hotspots tho it seems to have reduced in recent months But even the outskirts are not spared. Just few days ago rival gangs between katsina Ala and Ukum had their day with killings and arson. The governor should do something about it. |

patriotic007: [s]This covid 19 pandemic issue in Nigeria is not clear to me 1)Why is it that politician are the ones bringing out the figures? At least we should be briefed by a well known doctor on what they are going through, the dangers health workers are passing through in attending to this large numbers of allegedly infected people,And what they need in order to perform their duties. 2)Why is it that no single clip or pics of this covid-19 patients on sick beds or ICU beds has surfaced on the media space in Nigeria, the way we see it on CNN and other foreign media instead of showing us chats of yellow green and red. 3)Where are the dead covid-19 patients buried? And. Why don't they show their remains been moved from the hospital like we see in other countries that really have this covid-19. 4)Why do some states have the same figure of infected people for more than a week now?does it mean that the first case didn't interact with anyone at all.? 5)Why haven't we heard of a single health worker been infected yet in Nigeria with our weak health care system and insufficient protective kits,or is it not the health workers taking care of the large figures of infected people?[/s] Pls stop spamming threads with this crap!! |

Think about this? How do you think the data’ will show up, without collation..
So many people have it, here in Nigeria. Many will recover unknowingly... Then there you go.. Duh. We know that already. Data shows about 80% will recover. However, Even if you somehow manage to hide cases, can you really hide DEATHS?? So the point he's making, valid one at that, is that we are actually faring a lot better than countries which recorded their first cases and deaths about the same time we did. |
