Any Yoruba man that support the trashy and twisted narrative you put here need to have his head re-examined. He must have drank from the put of lies and hate you Igbo have unleashed on his tribe for years. He is only perpetrating his own enslavement because he has jettison history to embrace scheming of some callous and crafty element. You Igbo are full of self righteousness but you are the most vile, divisive and ethnic conscious tribe in Nigeria. History has it on record that you have never supported a Yoruba man ambition but you always turn to accuse them when you find yourselves in messy situation. Firstly, is Jonathan an Igbo man? Why are your tribe so attached to this failed and corrupt administration that you eternally tried to justify his misdeed. I never take you people criticism of Buhari seriously because you always do that in a bit to justify Jonathan administration. Let's talk about history, from the first republic to second republic till date, tell me one instance when Igbo ever supported a Yoruba man. Azikiwe started the history of alliance with northerners leaving only Awolowo in opposition , yet the later outperformed all his counterpart in other regions. The unity party of Azikiwe and Northerner even tried to supplant Awo by distabilizing the southwest and sending him to prison. Every attempt by Awo to make the military government of Aguiyi Ironsi, an Igbo man see the political undertone behind his incarceration and Grant his release failed. It took Gowon to come to power and release him during the war. What about recent events of June 12. 1993, Abiola had made his name as a foremost philanthropist in Nigeria and Africa and a pillar of sport who made sure Nigeria players were amply rewarded during a good showing in tournaments. His election was so popular as it was touted to end years of Military rule. He was voted massively in every region except the Igbo land. Even the northerners rejected their own son Uthman Tofa. Igbo never voted Abiola and their political players allied with the military to frustrate June 12. Listen, Yoruba dont care about Tinubu. We aren't Maliciously ethnic conscious, it is the trait of you Igbo people. That is why you are hastily suspicious of Yoruba, your most loyal neighbours. Oyo voted pdp, Aketi never emerged through Tinubu connection, Ekiti once jettison APC for Fayose party. It is you Igbo that has remain with PDP and are so desperate to plant a Party where your polician can easily loot and dominate. |
DNSPro:Yoruba has no attachment to ethnic interest. They have experimented with different party and have rejected Tinubu countless time. It remain for Igbo to show the kind of progressiveness we have displayed in Yoruba land. Let them get rid of their own cabal rather than obsession with Tinubu. What a Yoruba man don't understand is that Igbo hate any administration where Yoruba are prominent. |

gbemishile:You are a disgrace for buying the lies and hate the Igbo had unleashed on Yoruba for decades. |
Racoon:You ended your trash comment with Yoruba ronu but I doubt if you are a Yoruba man. If you are one, then you are a disgrace. For putting Awolowo on the same page as Tinubu and painting the picture of halting Nigeria through Hausa-Fulani alliance, you just sound like the usual misinformed Igbo man. |
meavox:Element of lie in this story. It is either the herdmen had their way successfully or they were curtailled by NSCDC. Ondo state Amotekun hasn't kicked off and it is shameful Fulani herders still perpetrate their activities in the state. Akeredolu has only been paying lip service to the Amotekun project despite being the chairman. |
Tinubu faction are giving Akeredolu a long rope till the eve of primary before kicking him out. |
kikero:A very illogical narrative. It wasn't the lack of capital that made our power sector degenerate to rot, it was a disoriented political system that is lacking in vision, will and commitment. Electricity is a social amenity that every citizen deserve to assess regardless of financial, social or political status. Nigerian government, over time continue to derail from their primary role of managing and distributing the nations wealth for the benefit of all, instead we have a nation where inequality had widened considerably over time with a bulk of the wealth at the hands of past and present political leaders. In fact, your idea of resources distribution is very anti people. You attribute the failure of our power sector to low charges of consumer but fail to consider if the low charges is commensurate with peoples income. Even before the latest privatization, many home default on electricity bill and were subjected to disconnection because they couldn't consistently maintain the allocated bill. The era of privatization has worsened things completely and this has expose the greed inherent in the system. Disco's now charge exorbitantly for power that wasn't supply. It may surprise you that many homes are abandoning national grid for solar power. Rather than blaming the hapless masses who has been marginalized in the national scheme of things, why not ask our government what the have done with the billion acrued from oil many in decades. What about the billion that was said to have been invested into power sector but were swept under the carpet. Did you remember how power probe has failed, despite mammoth of evidence regarding misappropriation.? |
What will Davido sing for the kids. Senseless songs corrupting young one. These are now the role model in our society. What have we become? |
deri4luv1:Most of this are predetermined birth. Nigerian, especially the rich ones are now exposed to invitro fertilization. Most of them travel abroad to have their problem solved in fertility clinic. |
Certainly Covid-19. This shit is real. Do many death of public figure in the last few months. This couldn't have been a coincidence. Meanwhile, I'm currently having cough, catarrh and breathing difficulty. My throat seems dry and fear of covid-19 is grippping me. |
Whiteangel1234:That is the lie you keep feeding yourselves. |
Sammy07:I have accused him of several maladministration in the state, yet he never respond to one. Meaning he is as guilty as charged |
kikero:Not in those days. Hope was high for good governance. Most of your point are valid though. That is the Nigeria we now find ourselves. I witnessed that era, though a young boy, but military truncate the hope of a return to democracy. |
The south westerner made Nigeria ungovernable for Babangida so much so that he resigned. The prodemocracy movement was so widespread that military could only fight by resulting to assassination, remember Kudirat Abiola who was shot by Abacha gun men. NADECO consistently clamour for June 12 mandate and OPC was formed to enforce seccession if Nigeria did not return to democracy, meanwhile the Igbo land was as quiet as still water. Enemy of Nigeria |
Shegs12345:Igbo can't conceal their tribal sentiment which makes them jump into defense of any ignominious news pertaining their region. Why this? People should be civilized for once. This was a report from credible body. Meanwhile, you guys will quickly criticize everything about other tribes. You paint your leaders as saint and you all go about criticizing Tinubu |
OVB123:He was the last governor Ondo had |
OndoFirstBorn:Traveling is experience and you shoukf be able to find a nexus nexus between age and experience. How does my comment indicated age superiority battle over age? Be reasonable please. You were making an assumption and I put it straight to you |
Sammy07:You people are missing the essence of performance. So all the employment of teachers and other well publicized and transparent recruitment did not benefit Akure and Ondo people? This in itself is more impactful than many of this noise making over nothing. Mind you Agagu constructed severe road in Akure which Mimiko ended up decorating. Go and make your finding. |
OndoFirstBorn:First let me put it to you that I wasn't born yesterday. I'm above the age of 30 and I've been to places, even if it's few by some standard. Being familiar with my state shouldn't be in the debate. I live in Ore and I'm an Ilaje so the entire Ondo south which is one third of the state won't be too big to cover. I Aketi impact isn't felt here, then forget his impact elsewhere. |
Sammy07:If I smoke weed, then you must be smoking a pernicious brain killer. How does the mediocre we have as governor in the last 12 years compare to Olusegun Agagu. This man was the last governor to employ teacher in the state. In fact during his days, Ondo state was producing the best student in jamb. The introduction of tarred road network to the Ilaje local government has eased the connect of river rine community to the rest of the state. Infact, the Kilometer of road contracted across the entire Ilaje local government surpassed what the last two mediocre governor has contracted in the last 12 years. Stop glorifying mediocry. Mimiko performance in Akure well limited to constructing bus stop and painting the road project executed by Agagu in the name of beautification. I can't forget how his street light just dissapeared in Ore less then one year. |
Sammy07:Olusegun Agagu was the last government Ondo state had. No debate |
Sammy07:I have to bite back tears while reading this. Both Mimiko and Akeredolu had set Ondo backward. Mimiko laid the foundation of mediocrity and unfortunately Aketi is consolidating it. Ondo state is too big to be described by ten pictures highlighting a governor performance. These are falsified and exaggerated list to deceive the unsuspecting masses, knowing fully well that most people won't see beyond there locality. Aketi administrative style is patterned after Mimiko who spent eight years committing to populist project that has no significant impart on the people. 80 percent of his infrastructural project were building of market across the 18 local government, building of bus stop shed and painting them while leaving many road untarred. The few roads he claimed to construct were no longer than 200 metre. He pride himself on decorating the project of his predecessor Olusegun Agagu and presenting them as his own. However, Mimiko biggest undoing was the neglect of education sector. Yes, he build a few primary school structure across the eighteen local government which he termed mega school, but no teacher were employed during his eight years term. The primary school are now abandoned while the building are used for other purpose in some local government. The case of Secondary school is pathetic. No single mention. Teacher weren't employed as structure continue to decay. Akeredolu now taking mentorship from Mimiko and this is no hearsay. They have forged a close rapport and Mimiko has turned his closest confidant despite being of opposing party. All the above project are synonymous to gimmick Mimiko employed to secured his second term. Non is really impactful in anyway. Take Ore interchange for instance, this was a media hype road not longer than 200 metre in total. Ore two is abandon despite it's size and burstling population with 98 percent of the road untarred and unconstructed. There are just two public secondary school in th town too. The industrial hub is only decorative. Mimiko used the same Ore industrial pack to steal money and left nothing their. Aketi is embarking on same The two few primary school block here are probably not more than that in reality. Is this worth grorifying? Many of the listed project here has never left the stage of proposal four almost for year and here Aketi is counting them as performance. Human capital development under this administration is zero. What has happened to the basic education in the state? The primary and secondary education are the most crucial in child life, yet no teacher has been employed in the state for close to 12 years despite succession of retirement. Agagu was the last government to conduct a well publicized employment. It is criminal for anyone to throw Araromi-Ibeju lekki road in our face as Aketi achievement when in effect nothing has commenced here. |
OndoFirstBorn:I stay in Ondo state too and I can corroborate it that the performance is not as impressive as the picture make us to believe. There is more to the state than 10 pictures depicting a governor performance. Take Ore interchange for instance, this does not change the fact that the town remain on of the most deprived and abandoned city in Nigeria despite it's location and bursttling population. The place only boast of two public secondary school. Over 98 percent of the roads are untarred and abandon . |
chiemmanuel:The social media guy doesn't talk much about his origin but he is most likely an Ilaje man from Ondo state. Omojuwaurname in Ilaje, Ondo state and |
See a coach who has just been awarded a new contract. NFF is corrupt and Rhohr deal is just a bargain to enrich themselves. This man achieved nothing in his four years, yet he is being handed another contract. Is nations cup too much of a target for Nigeria? |
Police people don need money again |
What is wrong with signing a young, brilliant and agile striker. This is one of the Ed Woodward move that has been killing Man united. The front role is a missing factor in man utd season. The fact that an old and tired Ighalo came and make an impart shows what is sorely missing in the squad. |
LearnITsmash:Even the president is talking about easing lockdown by including worship centers. When the head of a nation isn't leading by example, the people resort to individual law. |

Timagex:Owo idagba soke (development fee). We use to pay this in primary school in those days, and out teacher will make mockery of short one saying they don't pay "Owo idagba soke" |

I gave her the money with all seriousness and she promised to take it to where my height will be adjusted. I was so happy.
She later told dad about it and I became a laughing stock!!!
