jonahpwajok:I'm not talking about destruction but a politically motivated movement that replace one section of the ruling class. It is a diversionary approach that kill the struggle. |
lexander:I'm not talking about destruction but a politically motivated movement that serve the interest of some section of the ruling class. Most destruction in the east are like those obtained generally elsewhere. Burning down of Police stations. Who has attack Orji Uzo Kalu to strengthen his keen competitor. What attack is aimed at PDP government in that region? |

lilfresh96:You said this but the ethnic consciousness of the Igbo make them paint Yoruba in every demeaning term while brandishing themselves as the best in the country. Bro, whether you are Igbo or not, I want to tell you the Igbo most hated tribes are Yoruba for no apparent reason |
Amotolongbo:That is your intentions, anf you have partly achieved it. Only that Yoruba are naive. The attack on Tinubus properties in Lagos has divided the struggle and has given it to another arms of the enemy which is the PDP opportunist. It is a valid claim that the attack has taken an ethnic dimension culminating from the long standing sentiment fueled by Igbo tribal rhetoric on Yoruba. If the uneducated aren't aware of this, at least the educated see on line everyday, on twitters, on Nairaland and comment sections of Facebook news. While the protest was initially focused on creating a lasting change in our system, it is also expedient that we are not ignorant of the prevailing moods and how it developed. I have my proof. For the past years, I have had my ear to the ground by following, reading and interpreting comment and feedback on social media especially Twitter. We must realize that Twitter was, at first, the mobilizing front for the protest. It still remain the most influential site in advancing the course of the struggle. The #endsars is a Twitter trend and the mobilizing celebrities take their base from the app. So when I see developing stories and the accompanying opinion, how it easily metamorphosed into the intended sentiment of some people in contradiction of the objective realities, I realize the power wielded by ethnically conscious people in exploiting social media for their own agenda. There has been weeks and months of culmination of ulterior motives. Anyone who observe and follow events will see a consistent pattern. Almost everyday, Yoruba, Igbo or Tinubu trends on Twitter and once I see that, I need not struggle to comprehend the orientation of the opinion. Whenever Igbo is trending, the prevailing opinions are always the rhetorics that Igbos are hardworking, Igbos are the most marginalized, Igbo holds their head despite attempt to suppress them: Igbo are the most successful ethnic group in Nigeria and Igbo are the most intelligent. Once Yoruba trend, opinion varies but there are also the insult on Yoruba that they arr slave to northern Fulani. Nairaland is where this opinion thrive the most and most of you know.. And Whenever Tinubu trend, it is about his dynasty, the bullion van, his role in enthroning Fulani man, sometimes, comparison with Awolowo. I also see this as an attempt to denigrate the Awolowo.. Even some few months ago, Awolowo trended on twitter and once I saw it, I quickly pounce on it knowing a tribal war was already raging. My intuition didn't disappoint me as some were already mobilizing opinion calling Awolowo a perpetrator of genocide. He was accused of masterminding all the ill treatment metted on Igbo during the civil war. This led to heated debate and name calling between Igbo and Yoruba. History were dug up to correct the false claim and lies foisted on the sage. It even took the verified account of some prominent Yoruba name to give the founding father a bit of soft landing. I guess the Igbo on twitter left on that day to fight another time. Before Lekki killing two days ago, my intuition already told me an anti Tinubu protest was in the offing. It was a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. For days, I have seen tweets accusing Tinubu of being the sole source Nigerian problem. He was accused of being responsible for the enthronement of Fulani man in Buhari. Most of this post tried to absolve Jonathan. The hasty comparison of Buhari administration to justify the later is a common rhetorics amidst south Easterners while the Yoruba mostly maintain a liberal posture that both men are part of the age-long succession of bad Nigerian leaders. But in recent days the tactics of glorifying GEJ as a way of condemning Buhari had held sway unchallenged by Yoruba because of the current mood against bad governance. Tinubu wasn't spared the attack too. Not that I absolve Tinubu, and I never defend him but seeing the desperation to nail him alone when the demanding was to effect systemic change made me sceptical of some people genuine intention. Three days ago, the news of a former TVC employer, who was sacked at the behest of Bourdillon after walking away from a live show made the headline. The South easterner lady who is now an actress stormed the Instagram to claim she was sacked from TVC by order from Bourdillon after walking out of a live show in response to the Oba of Lagos declaration in 2015 that Igbo will be drawn in Lagoon. The allegations later drew the response of her fellow show anchor Morayo Afolabi Brown who claimed the order didn't come from Bourdillon. The narrowing down of this to anti-Tinubu is a deviation fueled by brewing ethnic sentiment and it is aimed at serving the Igbo people age-long interest of ending the reign of APC government in Lagos ans replacing it with a PDP. Isn't it surprising that the Lekki massacre could not put the demand for Buhari resignation on front burner? I checked Twitter trend yesterday and #BuhariMustResign died down completely while #TinubuIsAKiller maintained the top spot. I care less about Tinubu but I doubt the readiness to push for Buhari resignation. There is also the tribal view the removing Buhari will aid Osinbajo to power. |
Nightstalker:Hate speech against the Yoruba. The kind you used to turn the fight into anti Tinubu war because of your belief that he is the Yoruba leader. You people derail the protest with the hate for APC in Lagos and Tinubu thereby allowing opportunist like Atiku, Obasanjo, Reno Omokri, Dino Melaye and others to pounce on it and saintify themselves in an attempt to take back power. Your political view has always been about how Yoruba and Tinubu connived with Buhari to chase away PDP and Jonathan as though the later is a saint. Many naive Yoruba won't see the motive of this post but anyone who read deep beneath will see the how hateful and denigrating it is. |
Chapii:All you people still crying because Jonathan lost an election are the reason our protest has been derailed by ethnic sentiment. People now see the remover of Tinubu as the ultimate solution while Buhari is breathing comfortaby in the north. I laugh |
mainman7:And then in all these, ordinary #BuhariResign, they did not trend on Twitter, but are going about attacking companies I Lagos. It show this is simply not about Nigeria but Tinubu |
SoBright101:You are a deceptive and manipulative Ipob. That is your trick, using Southern as a cover. Some of you even disguise with South West moniker. I have never used more than one account on Nairaland and I'm always bold to express my view |
Seriousgbege:Fools, who listen to you? I know the deep hatred for Yoruba among Igbo and their intention to make Lagos a PDP state. Imagine them eternally defending the corrupt Jonathan |
ajl:You are only advancing the interest of South easterner. |
Yoruba have fallen victim of hatred hatred for Tinubu and the system in Lagos State. What happened to the #BuhariResign. The Ipob anti-Tinubu tendency has been unleashed once the intellectual like Aisha Yesufu backtracked from the protest. Why are they not calling out their own leader in South East. Orji Uzor Kalu is a billionaire like Tinubu. He has Anambra wealth in his culfer. But the iPod intent of making Lagos a PDP state has pushed them to singing anti Tinubu. Don't get me wrong, I hate Tinubu, but why excluding Buhari and politician from their own region but instead obsessed with Lagos amd Tinubu. |
Seriousgbege:Stupid manipulative Ipob. You people are more dangerous than a stinging poison. Your hatred for Yoruba know no limit, despite having biggest benefactor are in south west. |
I maintain, Yoruba youth have fallen for the ethinically laced Igbo hatred for Tinubu. Do you follow the pattern of the protest? Even #BuhariMustResign isnt trending despite having it's best opportunity. Now it is Oba of Lagos. Yoruba youth fallen for the the Igbo ploy to take Lagos. |
victons:2023 is still far and Tinubu can't lay claim to having any concrete plan now. But we Nigerian should be careful of politicization of the protest. The like of Saraki, Melaye and Atiku has posed as though they are people voice but in effect, they are not. |
meetme01:If the VC happen to be the returning officer, thats completely Akeredolu ploy to rig the election. He is from Owo and I know he like I'm familiar with money. He was my VC in OAU. Very tyrant repressive and compromising. |
But Ondo PDP seems divided. The Agbo of a person has divided it with the mass following he's getting in Ondo south. "It is our turn" mantra is now the song on every lip. And the fact that four out of the six local government in the region havent seen electricity since 2014 has enforced push for their own candidate. |
MBGN beauty queen rigged by Igbo. All this one wey face round like agbalumo self go call themselves beauty queen. |
IntersexSherry:Ka3na is one of the most beautiful housemate in the Lockdown season. In fact, she is my speck. But she lost it in the first and second week of the show with her bossy nature. When she had a needless confrontation with Wathoni in the second week and her response of bragging that she's not the girls mate, it drew criticism. I hate that attitude too. In fact, the lady in question is officially older than her. I'm not saying older o, but officially. Another round of argument with the same Wathoni caused the later to cry. When asked by the show host Ebuka why she resorted to crying during the argument, she admitted to being defeated. That Weekend, Ka3na was in the last four after the eviction vote. She had the opportunity of being saved by housemate but her controversial manner cost her. She came into the house as the richest according her own account of the investment she has. Being the first housemate to be evicted from the show make people to forget her easily. |
It's a pity the election is now a contest between APC and the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP. How PDP left the equation is a disturbing situation. A serving deputy left his party for the major opposition in the state and lobbied to grab the ticket for gubernatorial election. He spent an unbelievable sum of money to win the support of the party hierarchy at the national level but lost to the strongest contestant. The deputy governor, in his desperation to contest at all cost, defected again to a third party where he was embraced unopposed. Few months later, the new party became the biggest threat to the incumbent as loyalist and members of the deputy governor former parties mostly from his senatorial district mobilized in drove to pitch tenth with his ambition. The game is now tilted considering the virtually 100 percent support for the deputy governor in Ondo south and the massive support in four other local government in Ondo central where his party chairman, Mimiko hailed from. Meanwhile, the PDP who were initially billed to be the strongest opposition has been reduced to the underdog. Their presence is now restricted to the two other Local government in Ondo Central: Akure south, where their candidate hail from and Iju Ita Ogbolu. His presence in other local government is only scanty. He came to Ore few days ago and could not command a crowd for the usual open field gathering. Rumour also have it that a sizable portion of the PDP national is giving their backing to thw ZLP candidate. That is the reality in my own state |

Gregorian2020:I'm dumbfunded by your analysis of Jose Man u performance. One of the biggest failure of Mourinho is seen in his signings. I have always commended Mourinho for having a keen eyes for quality players but in Man united, he was the opposite of his usual self. Most of the players acquired under him never lived up to their best and were forced out of the club. Some remaining few are either pulling below their weight or plagued with injury. Milkytarian and Sanchez forced out and Lukaku followed suit while Dalot is about to join the mass Exodus of Mourinho men. Lindelof is being heavily criticized while Baily is injury prone. Come to think of it,Mourinho was the most financially backed manager after Alex Ferguson departure but less than two years after Man united still lament players inadequacy |
Nigerian are responsible for whatever Google spill out about Agbani Darego. When this lady was crown, the criticism generated among Nigerian was beyond sentiment. I remember an article I read on a particular daily in 2001 titled "There miss world". The writer criticized the choice of Agbani Darego as the stereotype western view of beauty. He claimed Darego thin figure can not pass for African view of beauty, as though beauty isn't universal. I think many Nigerian now see beauty in slimness |
Before white men can crown a black African as miss world, that beauty must be truly unquestionable. I have assessed the beauty of this girl, and I find him flawless. Chiseled face, impeccable shape and at almost 40, she's still a model beauty. However, do not blame Google for it's result, Nigerian contributed to that outcome. Several comment and careless talk has been spilled out to criticize miss Darego as ugly. They are getting result for what they put on google |
