The unity party of Azikiwe and Northerner even tried to supplant Awo by distabilizing the southwest and sending him to prison. Every attempt by Awo to make the military government of Aguiyi Ironsi, an Igbo man see the political undertone behind his incarceration and grant his release failed. It took Gowon to come to power and release him during the war.

What about recent events of June 12. 1993, Abiola had made his name as a foremost philanthropist in Nigeria and Africa and a pillar of sport who made sure Nigeria players were amply rewarded during a good showing in tournaments. His election was so popular as it was touted to end years of Military rule. He was voted massively in every region except the Igbo land. Even the northerners rejected their own son Uthman Tofa. Igbo never voted Abiola and their political players allied with the military to frustrate June 12.

Listen, Yoruba dont care about Tinubu. We aren't Maliciously ethnic conscious, it is the trait of you Igbo people. That is why you are hastily suspicious of Yoruba, your most loyal neighbours. Oyo voted pdp, Aketi never emerged through Tinubu connection, Ekiti once jettison APC for Fayose party.
