Sammy07:You don't really checked well. During the 60s and 70s, Ondo were a keen adherent of Awolowo politics. In fact, in 1979, Ondo gave the largest vote to UPN despite smaller in population. .The 1993 during MKO Abiola, Ondo state played a leading role in June 12 movement with Femi Falana, Late Pa Abraham Adesanya and Gani Fawehinmi. The AD in 1999 has it's support base I South West and the presidential candidate that lost to the Northern and Eastern candidate of Obasanjo was Olu Falae, an Ondo man from Akure. So what are you saying. It was Mimiko that came and changed thing a bit |
OndoFirstBorn:You should be ashamed of judging Akeredolu success through his victory in indirect primary. If he's confident of his popularity within his party, why was he scared of indirect primary. Listen, the best chance of PDP emergence is APC giving a return ticket to Aketi. His defeat will be too heavy. |
I just feel for Infantino. I thought he was brought to clean up the corruption left behind by Blatter and Platini. The world cup hosting right given to Qatar was a corruption at it's peak |
Conduct DNA test at your own peril. Instead of the man to safe his heart and avoid needless enquiry, he just take a step that might haunt him for life. When the little secret is with the woman only, or kept away from both, they have family and children but now that it's open, he lost a daughter a wife and then a family. |

Hamburgfinest:Akeredolu is only doing this to get cheap popularity. This is exactly why the man must lose the election. He playing on people intelligent rather than concentrating on meaningful impact. |
OndoFirstBorn:Ondo first born and Akeredolu Yahoo Yahoo performance. Why is this man specialize in creating false image on social media? Actually, the people of the state don't buy his lies but who are his target. From Araromi-Ibeju Lekki road, to sea port and now bitumen exploration, Aketi is setting precedence propaganda. Going to the fact around the bitumen, this deposit has been discovered over 30 years ag. In fact, successive military government had payed visit to the sight with nothing done about extracting it. The government of Obasanjo visited the sight in 2002 and established a commission to see into refining it. All through the first term of Agagu tenure, the bitumen project was a well talk about agenda during campaing, but fact began to emerge later that the biggest obstacle to harnessing the resources was the high cost of refining which wasn't deem economica. Why is Akeredolu lying to gain cheap popularity? |
Those of you commending this move are mere hypocrite. Big brother naija housemate are more pristine with regard to covid 19 than the rest of Nigerian. The house is shut from the outside world and members have been thoroughly screened before admission. Why are is our government chasing shadows? They expose all of us by their irresponsible attitude towards the people. I still maintain that the only thing protecting Nigerian is immunity. If not, we would all have died of covid-19. Na BB naija them day concentrate on. |
APC just lost Ondo state. I have said it earlier and it's a common knowledge to anyone living in Ondo state that the prayer of most PDP member is that APC commit the blunder of giving return ticket to Aketi. With this, the loss will be massive. How can they stupidly return someone who isn't accepted within his party? APC members in the state are disgruntled about the governor. He came to Ore few days ago and member denied him a warm reception. The place was as dried as desert. The governor is also not popular for any reasonable performance in the state. He's only busy hyping little achievement on social media while a large part of the state is suffering monumental neglect. Why should APC give return ticket to someone who has committed a cardinal sin within the party. With Olushole Oke, even PDP member will be jittery. The thing about Oke is that he is from Ondo south where PDP has his strongest base. The majority of rep member and the senator are PDP members thanks to Aketi anti party activity during the election. PDP membershave been praying against OKe emergence and their prayer is answered. Another odd against Aketi is that Ondo south are fond of giving block vote. They don't spit votes across party. Most of their votes are one sided. Oke being an Ilaje man from the south would have rallied the southern loyalty.. |

Jydology:Sowore is a trend setter in investigative Journalism in Nigeria. Before Sahara Reporter, all our media outfit are nothing but puppet of the corrupt establishment. They were all too timid and dishonorable to tread the dangerous and controversial path of challenging the established lies. Where were they when Sahara Reporter was taking the bull by the horn. Reno Omokri is a voice for the corrupt |
Reno attempt at Sanctimonious self purge futher plunge him more into a cesspool of dishonour. His association with the corrupt government of Jonathan, and the flagrant move to justify it will give him away as an advocate and defender of corrupting, and consequently an antagonist of Sahara Reporter. |
Eteka1:Nigel Martyn I guess |
Leeds united was one of English top flight regular that survived into modern era. This club have a history of parading some exception player. With Eric Cantona in 1991 before joining Man united. Recent star player include, Rio Ferdinand, Allan Smith Mark Viduka Harry Kewell Lee Bowyer Ian Harte Leeds united of old, they were one of Man united rival after Liverpool. Can't believe they were in champions league semi final in 2001 playing Valencia |
internationalman:Your knowledge of football is just as empty as your skull. Before glaizer came to Man utd in 2005, has Alex Ferguson class of 92 not won it all with 8 premier league? And to attribute Fergie united achievement to Webb. When did Howard Webb join premier league officiating? 2005 for you empty skull And you talk about 2 champions league as though as some kind of little achievement? After English club were ban from playing in Europe in between 1985- 1990, no premier league club won the championship league for over a decade. Man united was the first club to deliver the champions league in modern era in 1999. That earned Ferguson the knighthood. And to even think Man united isn't one of the most consistent team in Europe under Ferguson shows how inexperienced you are. When united lost in champions league second round to Mourinho FC Porto in 2004, it was said that was the first time Man united fail to make the quarter final in 13 years. You think winning 2 champions league in a lifetime is a child play, tell me when last Juventus won it. Barcelona despite their history only had 1 champions league till 2006. If you don't notice man united consistency in champions league, you are probably blind. For a team that made 3 final in four season, you must be a clown. |
Doom is Looming for Ondo APC in October. The northern leader are finally preparing the ground for PDP return in Ondo state. Where are the delegate? There is no democratically elected party leadership in Ondo as they haven't conducted any Congress. The current party executive are the stooges put in place by the governor himself. How is that a level playing ground? |
Tinubu supposed neutrality is a tarcit endorsement of Akeredolu, whether he knows or not. How can the party approve an indirect primary in a state where there are no democratically elected leaders. APC leadership in Ondo state is factional and those running the affair are Akeredolu stooges. How will the delegate be constituted. I'm still confused. |
That VAR, Gary Lineker go don dey cry on twitter now |
This will be one of the biggest legacy of the 9th Senate if successfully passed. But it is better passed than implemented in Nigeria. Aside civil and public service, how many private establishment can bent to this rule. That Nigeria still use age limit as restriction in 21st century shows how backward we are in this country. In advance country of Europe and US, age as a condition for job is considered a discrimination. Age, sex and religion |
All the regional and community development program commissioned for the development of Oil producing area are only serving to enrich our politician. There are many bodies and public companies that are just serving as looting hub. One of these is Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas NLNG. Nigerian wealth is just turning some directors to billionaire s in those projects. Another one is NIMASA. You see these three enh. Na waste of resources. |
I know the word Gokada will have something to do with Nigerian. I've been trying to place an evidence since yesterday but non come into view. I decided to read this story to the end if it could provide any clue. Gokada is simply a coinage from Okada and a Yoruba word, climb. Gokada- climb okada. |
Anneka101:PDP member are praying that APC pick Akeredolu as candidate. The beating will be too much |
Chochovini:You forgot to mention Domitila. |
tollyboy5:The same Tinubu hold his own when Igbo were romancing Hausa at the helms of Nigeria affair. He remain in opposition for more than 12 years without allies at the top. Any pdp sympathizer is crying foul when Tinubu politics assume national dimensions is only being unprincipled. Mind you, I don't like Tinubu. He is one of the modern day corrupt Nigerian leader. |
tollyboy5:If you believe modern day SE are more friendly with SW, you are living in delusion. This people have an axe to grind with Yoruba and the sentiment has been passed from generation to another. The craftiness is however that they pretent to love by claiming Yoruba favour hausa alliance while in real sense, they prefer a nothern man than Yoruba. It's not that Yoruba had sin grieviously against the Igbo, the motive is that Yoruba are the only tribe constituting hinderance to their dream dominance of Nigeria. Hausa may be in power but Igbo don't see them as competitor because of the widespread illiteracy. Their hatred for Awolowo is premised on the fact that he liberated Yoruba from Azikiwe and contributed hugely to their education. |
Sammy07:Yoruba and north have no special relationship, APC is a national party. Igbo are just making a fuse out of it because they detest a political arrangement that has a grassroot western presence. PDP was seen as a northern party in 1999 despite feilding a Yoruba candidate in Olusegun Obasanjo. Yoruba preference was Olu Falae of AD, but the Igbo embraced the northern choice and forced him on Yoruba. AD won all of western state but still lost the presidency. . Only Tinubu sustained AD four years later as Obasanjos plot to install PDP in South west worked through. Tinubu sustained Lagos despite every attempt to hijack it. By 2007, AD transformed to AC and then begin the mission of retaking south west. Tinubu genious was at the fore. By 2011, the entire south west has fallen back into AD structure. The quest to wrest the central from PDP took a boost when ACN merged with Buhari CPC to give PDP a tough challenged. By then PDP has had 16 years as the ruling party in Nigeria and the gain were not enviable with corruption, unemployment and terrorism holding sway. The defeat of PDP came in 2015 April general election and for the first time, a party with historic Yoruba grassroot took over the reign of power. It is easier to see why the Igbo hate Tinubu and APC more than their problem. Any discerning person will see that it is born out of their hatred for Yoruba. For years Igbo has had a history of aligning with the north. In the first republic Azikiwe and northenr party went into alliance leaving only Awolowo in opposition. Same with second republic. Even as recent as 93, when MKO Abiola was the nations favourite, Igbo embraced the Fulani man Tofa who was reject even by his own. |
Swtbabyvee:still maintain. I can't but marvel at the view some modern Nigerian youth espouse about American. You people opinion is purely based on hearsay and ignorance. Mind you, I have a brother in US who works in the oil sector. Many guy from my town who are close to my family has has also left for US. One left two years ago. Within a year of being there, he works in the naval. Yes, I agree there are gap between which a new migrant needs to find stability but that isnt peculiar to US. In fact, it is worse in some country. Beside, it is better working without work permit in US than being in some places US still remain the home of free people due to their land mass. The police brutality or racism you guys talk about isn't new in America and was witnessed in larger scales decades ago. Shebi they can protest now, in the past, the killing and brutalization of black might not even create a spark of reaction. The 60s and 70s in US could be likened to slave era. Even the law were openly bias against black. This has reduced over the years. Listen, I still maintain that US remain a land of opportunity because of their high level of industrialization. I once search online, the number of oil company in US, I was still counting over 30 oil companies each of which is richer than the richest company in Nigeria. Many world largest multinational have their headquarters in US. America remain the land of opportunity and home of big business if you dear to try and plan |

wink2015:Even if he cross over to PDP, they won't feed him as their candidate. That is how bad his acceptance is within the state. Akeredolu isn't loved and he has no grassroot support. Why is he afraid of direct primary in a state where you have absolute control unlike Lagos governors. Even Obaseki was confident of winning the primary and APC could do is to disqualfy him. |
Swtbabyvee:US is the best destination for anyone who desire to make it big. Yes, Europe, North America and probably Australia are what we should come to mind when we refer to abroad but in US come ahead of Canada any day. I'm a bit surprised at the obsession of young Nigeria with Canada these days. It is an nice place to be though with good welfare and facilities, but USA come ahead in big business and opportunities. You may travel to Canada and be satisty with all you need to live a meaningful life but the opportunity to make it big and send money home may not surface like the US. In US, the chance are there if you plan hussle and dream big. It is the headquarters of world capital. |

seunmsg:Thank you my brother. Akeredolu has been rejected by the grassroot APC member in Ondo state. Any attempt to return him will amount to a disastrous imposition. Why should a sitting governor be afraid of direct primary. Even Obaseke wasnt afraid of direct primary in Edo and Oshiomole camp have no option than to disqualfy him. As it stand, an indirect primary is illegal in Ondo as the state APC has no democratically elected leader. The party hadn't conducted a Congress in almost four years of Akeredolu. The current set of leadership are the loyalist handpicked by him. That was the reason why one of the strong governorships aspirant, Olushole Oke declared that the party is factional in Ondo. An indirect primary that returns Akeredolu will spell doom for the party. |
