Weapon of assassination. Now, world leader and public figure can now be targetted easily for a possible selfish reason. |
What has Ondo state done to Benin Electricity Distribution. It seems like different stroke for different folks. I'm in Ore Ondo state and we had the Easter in virtual blackout. My friend in Ado Ekiti say it's constant supply and they are BEDC subscriber. Folks in Ikere Ekiti have the same story to tell. The light was sparingly restored in the afternoon of Easter Sunday. |
Jakumo:With 2 death out of 190, and many still ill., the situation is not different from what is obtained in other part of the world. US has over 250k thousand infected yet 5k death |
nnaeyes6:Sunny Ade has many cool song even before switching the high pitch instrumentalities. Iwaju lo lo ko yi nwami lo, Eyin Sha lo lo ko yi nwami lo Mio mo, mio mo ye o, mi o mo. Or songs likes, Aye le ma saka, fi won sile, let them say. |
MusicSots:Sunny Ade did not attain his fame by chance. Though Obey got to the scene a bit ahead of him, he came and took the juju music to higher bear and rythm. That was what endeared him to the listeners then. The incorporation of faster beat to Juju music was later adopted by contemporary singer like Shina Peter who dubbed his music Afro Juju. He nearly retired the elders in the industry. So massive was his followership that, no other song were played in parties and social gathering in the early 90s. |
nnaeyes6:Stop rubbish. Sunny Ade and obey are contemporaries, singing almost the same style but sunny incorporate more instrumental to his song. He is a master guitarist and music critics see his song as more rich in note and dynamic. The first Nigerian to be nominated for Grammy. No be beans. |
So testing of blood sample taken by pinching the finger is no longer a procedure |
festwiz:The number of death from the virus is a function of the demographic age of population. You can only assess how a country progress in managing the disease through the number of cases recorded and the new case. |
rottennaija:Donald Trump government mismanaged the situation. America is more divided than ever. |
Before I read about the Spanish flu pandemic in 2005 edition of Awake magazine published by Jehovah witness, I've heard several oral account of it from my dad. It was called "go slow" in Nigeria. My father description almost matched the detail given in the "Awake" magazine According the report, it killed over 2 million in America. "In one description, a student Cirho Vera de cunha was travelling to a nearby province. Before boarding the vehicle, he contracted the disease. During the journey, the entire passengers got infected and everyone died including the driver. |
We already see how all the released fund and donation will end up. How can a test kit sent by WHO to different countries at a subsidized rate cost #10,000. What other expenses is involved in testing than few additional material like solvent and syringe. What about the test kit donated by Jack ma? |
Brighter grammar is the only textbook that teaches English language in Nigeria. But Nigerian student started struggling to pass when some desperate arthour flooded the market with their books that looks like polical campaign among rivals. I went back to brighter grammar after secondary school and I discovered that the secret to queen English was totally unlocked in the book. |

Does it mean this guy won't taste the throne before he died. Queen Elizabeth refuse to die and the heir apparent contacted corona virus |
darfay:I disagree with your statistic. Yoruba Christians are not minority in SW. Okay, this is an analysis for you to determine which religion is the majority. Ondo and Ekiti are majorly Christian. Ondo is like 5 percent Muslim, same with Ekiti. Now to Ogun, the two dominant tribe are Egba and Ijebu. Egba are mostly Christiam while the Muslim population are found in Ijebu. The border region in Imeko are also mostly Christian. In general, Christian form the majority in Ogun. The highest Muslim population in South West can be found in Osun state, yet the Muslim dominated region are still identifiable. Ilesha axis are 99 percent Christian. Ife region are over 90 percent Christian. Osogbo is predominantly Muslim yet there are a lot of Christian, same with Ede, Inisa, Iragbiji. These are the area populated by Muslim but when you sample the Christian population too, you find many. Of all the town in Osun, Iwo has the largest percentage Muslim. Unconvinced though, I will agree that Muslim got it in Osun but the ration isn't markedly different. Now let's go to Oyo. Ogbomosho are Christian though you have many herbalist, apology to our Ogbomosho brothers. But any region in Yoruba land where African traditional religion predominate, you find Christian dominating. Those shrine lie side by side with church. Ibadan is the largest region Oyo yet it is a melting port of all the tribes. The traditional practices are still strong in Ibadan and I will give the majority to Christian, same with Oke Ogun area. The most Muslim dominated is Shaki and it's environ. The Christian to Muslim ratio in Oyo is like 60- 40. Christiam still predominate. Which other state. Lagos. The indigenous tribe are in overwhelming minority though they have some Muslim population. Given this data, no way Muslim could be the dominant religion in South West. The Christian to muslim ratio is like 65- 35. Even in Kwara, when you take Ilorin and ofa out, the rest are Christian dominated. Have you heard about ECWA? It is a Christian denomination. They have the largest presence in Kwara.. |
Ronaldo had proven it but at club and international level. |
AmuDimpka:All you can talk about here is living in bondage and Lion heart. The lion heart that anyone can watch and understand so long as he or she speak English. I just checked it up now and it only had 10 minutes of Igbo language. That is what I've been saying about you people lack of honour. Meanwhile your crooked tribe members has arrogated the success of Nollywood English to Igbo culture. Bring up core Igbo movie to defend your argument and I will change my mind to believe you are growing. |
AmuDimpka:I laugh in Swahilli. Calling small boy will not make me disclose my age here. You are just a small boy bragging the age narrative. Don't even try to change the narrative. Your bigotted Igbo brothers have been sighting Nollywood English as the achievement of Igbo movie industry since the beginning of this debate. How many Igbo scripted movie featured in their argument. After all there has been arrays of Yoruba actors in this discussion. The like of Mercy Aigbe hardly feature in movie aside those one that are exclusively Yoruba. Actors like Odunlade Adekola attain Nationwide prominence in Yoruba movies. You talk about lion heart that is scripted chiefly in English. The fact that it was interrupted with Igbo does not make it Igbo film. In fact, there are a bit of Hausa. Was Genevieve brought to prominence in Igbo films? Her first role aside the childhood television soap was most wanted in 1999. In fact, her role was just a brief news casting. The main characters were Regina Askia, Ibinabo Fiberesima, Bob manual and others. Genevieve major feature was furgitive in year 2000 which she Co star alongside Ramsey Nouah and Doris Simeon. I'm not talking this from book, I'm talking it from memory. |
AmuDimpka:I'm not out to contest age in public. In fact, I didn't see living in bondage, and I made no secret of that. After all, I have been watching Yoruba home video before living in bondage was produced. That is why I pose a question to you. I believe if you have my experience regarding Nigerian event with respect to age, you will be wiser. If living in bondage produced in 1992 is scripted in Igbo language, why are you guys not proud of sustaining that instead of attributing the success of Nollywood English to Igbo alone when in real sense, it is a Nigerian project. |
SonOfEl:An Igbo film or a Nigerian movie produced by an Igbo man. Is this debate about Igbo personality in movie industry or Igbo culture? Is living in bondage scripted in Igbo language? Do we Yoruba regard movie scripted in English as Yoruba film? Please explain. |
SonOfEl:Is living in bondage an Igbo film? Do you know how many non Igbo cast the movie had? Your foolishness keep getting more and more obvious. Pathetic you neglect what should be called an Igbo film, a movie scripted in Igbo language. Nollywood is a Nigerian movie. It is not an exclusive right of Igbo. How many time do we make you realize this. How many time do we Yoruba capitalize on the tribe of a producer to call a movie their own. Nollywood blockbuster Dangerous twins and Out of bound was produced by a Yoruba person yet we don't call it a Yoruba movie. Why should we do that when we are not inferiority complex battered tribe who are afraid to identify with our culture and language. |
SonOfEl:That you Igbo were cut off from civilization does not give you the right to discredit it. Do you know that Yoruba cultural movie had been popular in home video before some ex convict came to Alaba to produce English movie? The like of Fadeyi Oloro, Abija wara bi ekum, Orisabunmi, Yemi my lover we're popular names in Yoruba home video. Then again why do you think you have to attribute Nigerian English movie to Igbo just because some Igbo producer came to Lagos to start making movie. Even your most prominent cast are not Igbo. Omotola Jalade, Ramsey Nouah, RMD, Regina Askia, Ibinabo Fiberesima, Olu Jacob. It is a Nigerian movie because Igbo producer were not the only one in the business. Do you even know how the world Nollywood came about? Let me school your empty brain. It was in 2003. The Nigerian actor after a decade of success went to the US to attend a movie premier. There it was decided that Nigerian movie should adopt the name Nollywood while Indian should go by Bollywood. No originality in the name. It was an imitatuon of American. I narrated yesterday, the cause of Igbo marketers decline after the US experience but let me school you further. When the actors return home from US, they started making demanding higher pay. Rather than giving the actors some listening hear, the marketers came down on them. All the prominent actors were suspended. Genevieve, Ramsey Nouah, Omotola, Nkem Owoh and other we're all suspended. With that decision, You will understand the cultlike arrangements Igbo producer brought into the industry. They felt they have a monopoly and so they can decide the fate of actor. During this period many of the actor went to produce song. Genevieve sand a song, and Omotola sang Naija lowa. That was the beginning of independence for the actors. |
SonOfEl:Laughable. I have said it countless time that you Ibo lie without honour. Yes Azikiwe was older than Awolowo and started his political life before him. No one is contesting Azikiwe achievement but the way you people try hard to discredit Awolowo show how dishonourable you are. What is this lie you are peddling with this free education issue. Everybody knew that free education was a core ideology of Awolowo party. Which Alvan Ikoku started free education? A man who own a private school himself. What free education did he advocate. You see, only you Igbo try in vain to discredit Awo history. The northerner respect him till this day and always speak of him glowingly. Don't you read interview? |
sweetjohn:Don't tell me what I know. I grow up learning from my dad who is an authority in Nigerian history. I first heard the word Zik of Africa from him. It was just a way the Ibo brag about there founding fathers. In the first and second republic when Nigerian major ethnic group each have a leader they look up to. The politics was divided along ethnic line and everybody see their leader as the best. But that was the days of early independence. But you Igbo are still full of the tribalist tendency in which you praise your own and undermine Awolowo. May I tell you that Awolowo remain the most sagacious of our early independent leaders? In fact, he was described as someone who came before his time. An account even had it that the British colonialist fear him among the founding fathers due to his intelligent. Awo was a philosopher and a man of idea. He remain the only one with an ideology. Go and read many of his book. You will understand why they describe him as the best president Nigeria never had. I can give a list of Awolowo book. Tell me book written by Azikiwe. . - Path to Nigerian Freedom - Thoughts on the Nigerian Constitution -The People’s Republic -The Strategy & Tactics of the People's Republic of Nigeria -The Problems of Africa – The Need for Ideological Appraisal -Awo on the Nigerian Civil War -Path to Nigerian Greatness -Voice of Reason -Voice of Courage -Voice of Wisdom -Socialism in the service of New Nigeria -Philosophy of Independent Nigeria -The Path to Economic Freedom in Developing Country These are some of the books written by Awolowo. You think a man will write all these, even books about Africa in an era when reading was still a culture, and no one will know him. Stop being bitter. |
SonOfEl:Who is Amaka Igwe in the history of Nigeria movie industry. You mannerless Igbo will always find a subtle way to lie and distort history. Do you know how soap opera started in Nigeria? The first television soap opera in Nigeria was village head master shown on NTA. Till date no television soap has lasted more than it. There were cast that cut across tribes but Yoruba form the leading participant who gave professional touch to it. Then to talk about Television soap in general, can Igbo producer contest with Yoruba here? Remember Lagos is the head quarter of that and Yoruba has more foreign trained artist than you entititled bigot You talk about Kunle Afolayan as a newcomers. You must be high on weed. Do you know that Kunle Afolayan is the son of a veteran Nigerian movies maker Afolayan. His father introduced projector to Nigeria. He was a pioneer in cinema. Many of his father film are still top quality on celluloid. Uninterrupted. This guy didn't just come from nowhere. You can see from the uniqueness he introduced to movie making. |
YorubaMyKids:You made Olu Jacob. Can you see why your brain stop serving you because of the rubbish you put it there. Olu Jacob acting active year span 1971- to present. "Fondly called Uncle Olu by his colleagues and teeming admirers, Olu Jacobs has made his mark in the Nigeria's movie industry. With more than 40 years acting experience under his belt, Jacobs is seen as a bridge between the old and new breed of actors. Trained at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, England, Jacobs remains one of Africa's creative gifts to the world, having worked with various repertoire theatres in Britain and starred in some international movies." Copied from wikipedia. You see, your crude untrained drug peddler who make dirty money and rush to Lagos for film making in the 90s depends on Olu Jacob professionalism. That was why they hand him leading role in every movie. This man was the only Yoruba who feature in the Nollywood English displaying Igbo culture. Should I tell you this in case you don't know. The Ibo drug peddler who rush to Nollywood has no professional expertise in film making. Majority of the expert who work behind the scenes to give professional touch are Yoruba. That was why you see Tade Ogidan movie in those days, a cut above the rest. |
This one trying to capitalize on TB Joshua prophesy but with a bit of smartness. TB Joshua was bold to declare 27th March and we are counting but this hemp smoking Sule giving a statement everybody already know and calling it prophesy. It is a common knowledge that if Corona Virus does not end the world, the world will end corona. It will disappear as it come. Any prophesy in that? You come dey lie on top God join am. End time. |

Phatkings:The tribalist mindset is the reason fans vote will always sacrifice merit for mediocrity. I have noticed this in Big Brother Naija and it is worrisome. Fan vote is not bad in real sense. Afterall, it is the best way of making the award democratic. When I heard about 2020 AMCVA, my fear made become activated because I'm aware of the tribal consciousness in some region. This man Zubby is only saying what him and his people are guilty of. That is the attitude of this Igbo, they come open to accuse you of their flaw when their scheme began to fail. Why didn't King of Boys win any award despite being one of the best movie of 2019? You will understand, but first, let me acquiant you with my experience in big brother show. During the last three edition, Yoruba participant were obviously giving the best content but only few make it to the final let alone winning it. I painstakingly followed the last edition. Seyi Awolowo was a full package in everything, entertaining, handsome, intelligent. Infact, most of the group presentation were led by him. He was surely made for the final. But along the line, i notice that sentiment against him among the south easterner. You go to facebook and Twitter and discover that no Igbo are rooting for him. The BBN Facebook page was a very large one. Everyone come out to campaign for their favourite but you hardly see any Ibo person campaign for Seyi. You will see Yoruba going for favourite of different etnic group. Many of them followed Tacha and some followed Mercy and even Frodd. I personally favoured a lady's winner and rooted for Mercy but Seyi was the reason I actively became committed to social media campaign when I noticed the Igbo biased against him. One surprising thing I also noticed then was that majority of the Facebook fans were Igbo. Most of the Yoruba only stayed on Twitter, and the few on Facebook splitted their support among different participant. The Igbo mostly supported the Igbo housemate especially toward the tail end of the show. You only find Seyi supporter among Yoruba and other African. I began to ask if talent is ethnically based. I did not follow 2017 but I believe same was the case of Bisola. Everyone acknowledge the fact that this lady was the most deserving winner even two years after she lost to Efe. The 2018 was a bit of surprise. Despite the unique content of Lolu and favourite status of Teddy A.The final five was dominated by Igbo Housemate. It took some dedicated effort to have Tobi on the final list. The point here is when it comes to fans vote, Igbo and their tribal consciousness will snub Yoruba completely. When the game is between Yoruba and south southerner, they go for the later. That I believe was the reason Bisola lost to Efe in 2017. The best way Yoruba could extricate themselves from domination plot of Igbo is to be aware of the SE mindset, and counter it by supporting their own if they feel it is deserving. |
Bianda24:There is no point appealing to this Biafra. They know what they are doing. Why do you think they hate Yoruba. Even historically, they have always align with the Hausa, now they are accusing Yoruba of being a friend to Fulani. They prefers Hausa because those one are brute uneducated who can easily be dominated. Forget about their grip on power, the northerner still remain the .ost backward ethnic group in Nigeria. The Yoruba on the other hand are too sophisticated. They have failed in their attempt to dominate us. So all they can do now is to spread lies, distort history, paint their own leader and blame Nigeria woes on Yoruba. By so doing they make Yoruba hate themselves. Do you also notice the way they lie to present themselves as special That is the origin of their claim of Israeli connection. They want to weaken the spirit of Yoruba so that we see ourselves as worthless and them as special. In that case, we worship them and they dominate us. |
Tobrasky:You want to claim expertise in statistic of inter tribal intercourse between Yoruba and Ibo. You are too mumu. For you info, Ibo girls prefer Yoruba guyl to their fellow Igbo because Yoruba are caring unlike their bragging and chest beating Ibo boys. I have many of them. And if you don't know, many Igbo guys who grow up in Yoruba land want to get married to Yoruba girls. I have seen many Igbo guy who claim they can't marry their tribe. That was how my friend in the university (OAU) ended up marrying an Ileaha girl. |
