Alberta doesn't have application fees except the cost of courier for your documents (from what I saw on my cousin's application). It's Ontario that costs $1500 CAD.

However, the timelines are indeed long and there is the provincial restriction of where you can live when you eventually get PPR. I'd say you can wait for your 473 to kick in.

Hi guys, I got an email earlier in the week from Alberta Province that I have been selected to apply for their PNP based on my suitable profile. I didn't apply for it.

I'm in the pool with 433 and will upgrade to 473 this summer.

I'm planning to ignore it because of the high cost, long waiting time and provincial restriction of PNP.

I just thought I bring it here for inputs in case there might be any reason to regret ignoring this offer in the future.

She should wait for the new passport to be ready. Expired passports aren't used for anything on this journey.

Not sure about service, but keep the following timelines in mind: WES takes about 7 weeks now from receipt of documents. ICES takes 14 weeks. You already have an evaluation from WES so it might be worth it to get everything on the same ECA.

It is very possible to do medicals pre ITA. But remember that the medicals expire after a year, and depending on processing time for your application, that could affect your landing plans. So try to schedule the medicals based on when you think you might get ITA, and plan for the processing time.

To those that got the Alberta invitation recently, my cousin also got one and we have a question. She would like to remove one of her job experiences from the Express Entry profile as she will have difficulty getting a reference letter. Her current job is over 3 years in an eligible NOC, and she will be able to get a reference letter for this job. She wants to know if removing the older job will negatively affect her invitation from Alberta.

Are people allowed to make changes after being invited, but before submission of documents is complete? Kindly assist if you have personal experience with this.

There are people who got PPR using self employment as work experience. NJ that just shared her story did so. Check page 1 for PPR testimonies and go through them. You will likely need a good paper trail though - things like invoices, contracts, proof of payment, communication with clients, if possible references from clients etc. Put yourself in the VO's position and build a solid case.

It's best to disclose this so you can sleep better. You can write to explain what happened.

Any news on TCF exams for Lagos? I'm interested although I will likely not write till June because of speaking. The waiting time for TEF is just too long.

Also, is anyone here considering the TCF Exam? Alliance Francaise Lagos is not taking it yet, but when I called, the lady said if they have enough people making the request they can decide to start taking it.

Not at all. You can still get ITA the usual way *if* the points added to you from the TEF exam are equal to or above the CRS cutoff for the draws.

It's just that Ontario sometimes invites people with proven ability in French (i.e. passing scores on TEF or TCF) to apply for their PNP.

Thanks for the response. I have evaluated my BSC using the above medium stated for my transcript and was seamless didn't have any challenge. My spouse has a Diploma from UNICAL and also need to evaluate his. I have sent mail to the email address on the website but yet to receive a response.

Please I need assistance from any one who has requested for Diploma transcript from UNICAL ( any Malabite or Malabress) or know how I can go about it. I know requesting for degree,masters and PHD transcript is all stated on the school’s website but no information for diploma. I will appreciate any contact info in UNICAL I can reach out to.

Also wanted to share the podcasts by Radio Lingua (Coffee Break French). It's a useful supplement to the other things in this thread, and is quite helpful for pronounciation and conversation skills en francais.
