I think their Yaba center closed when they moved to the new site in Ikoyi. However, their Ikeja center is still open. Their website seems to be down but I got the following image from their Facebook page. It has addresses and phone numbers.

Gracemama:

Also will appreciate if anyone can link me up with a good French Tutor.

Typically, people aren't paid for a volunteering position. It's usually one or the other. I think @Stencil said you should *not* mention that it's a volunteering job

prettyamebo:
You're saying if I'm to use this working experience, I should mention it's a volunteering job right?

I am cc'ing @doyindre here as I assume the comment is for her. Though she asked about SSCE - I was wondering why she needed to assess that. WES usually requests WAEC or NECO for Nigerian degrees.

ans123:
Hey you are not supposed to send it by yourself. You should go to WAEC office at yaba to do that. Search the thread on how to send WAEC results to WES for verification.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by amaya21: 6:46pm On May 28, 2019
Hi, please check page 1 for the CRS calculator.

You have to get in touch with your school - they may need to do verification with WES.

Are you sure WES requested SSCE? Why are you evaluating that? I thought they only ask for WAEC or NECO with a first degree (for Nigerian degrees)?

Doyindre:
Thank you so much amaya21. How can I simulate my CRS?. I just finished my course work. If ASUU will let it, I should be done with masters soon.

And also, if started my WES over four months now. It’s just at pending waiting for the school to reply. What should I do about that?

When I sent my btech transcript, I included a photocopy of my SSCE and the scratch card. Now it says, scratch card accepted on my profile but the SSCE was rejected. What should I do? Can I just evaluate the BTech and leave the SSCE?

Thanks in anticipation

Hi, you can't use an uncle or aunt to claim points for Express Entry. Your age is still very favorable, and so is your Master's degree in progress. Yes, you can use your NYSC. Simulate your CRS with your current profile - 25, Bsc, one year of work experience, current IELTS.

Then simulate when you're done with your Masters. That alone will give you a significant boost in points.

Also simulate with a better IELTS. Then based on what you get, you should know the best course of action.

My two (optional) cents: If you don't have too long left of the Masters program, you can decide to finish that and get an ECA for it. It should boost your scores enough to get an ITA, since you are still quite young. (Unless the simulation with a better IELTS pushes you over the 450+ mark)

Doyindre:
Hello everyone,
I’m ready to embark on my immigration journey. So I took IELTS and I got LRWS 7.5,8.0,6.5,7.0. I have my Btech in computer science as my highest qualification right now, but currently doing my MSc program. I clocked 25 May 26, 2019. From what I’ve read here I can use my NYSC worm experience. My spouse has an uncle in Manitoba which gives us a connection to Canada. I feel I’m 0.5 short with my IELTS score but hoping the connection to Manitoba can stand in for this and increase my CRS.
Please I want to know if this could help me before applying for my express entry. Thanks

For both Alberta PNP and regular express entry, you only get points for a parent, sibling, or child (or the "step"/"half" versions of these as applicable).

sempe123:
Please,I have a cousin who is also a Canadian citizen based in Alberta province.Do you think I can take advantage of his citizenship in any of the express entry or provincial nomination program?
Thanks

Welcome. Spend some good quality time reading page 1 of this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/5187408/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled

For your IELTS, you'll need to aim for a minimum of 8777 in LRWS.

You'll also need to look into a second certificate. I do not know about ACCA (please use the search bar at the top to see if anything pops up) , but quite a number of people are taking CIMA to add to their B.Sc.

ZeezeeMula:
Hello house, I need someone to help me with some issues. I am new to all these Immigration to Canada brouhaha. I didn't give it a thought to leave the country but the situation in this country is something else.

I checked the website here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp to see if I am qualified to apply to Canada but got discouraged. I really need to get 67 to qualify.

I am presently 34 years old and have a B.Sc in Accounting from UNIBEN, and a 5-year work experience with an educational institution. I am yet to sit for IELTS but hope to do that soon. Is there a chance for me to meet the 67 points needed to qualify? If not, how much will getting an ACCA certification affect my qualification chance.

Thanks in advance

Try simulating using 8777 as @stencil advised. You should see a jump in CRS. But it may not be enough in these days of 450+ cutoff. Can he try for an extra certificate if he has only one? Can you try with yourself as the PA? Simulate these and see what you get.

At 33 years, with a good IELTS and two or more certificates, you can still get a direct ITA. Sometimes the PNP takes a while.

BumyImagination:
Thanks Stencil. My Spouse who is the principal applicant is 33, he has 7years work experience, has an Hnd and scored 8,7,6,7.5 (LRWS) in ielts. He scored 380 after using the CRS calculating tool and that's why we are considering a PNP. Is it a right step to take and how do we go abt it?

Then she can travel and have the baby in Canada. There should be no issues.

adetemio:
But what if PPR comes so much earlier before delivery?

CIMA has been discussed within the last five pages or so in this thread. Please go through this Part 8 and also search for CIMA posts in part 7. People have already evaluated this successfully

ceechedah:
Good morning Nairaland Fam,

Please for the accountants in the house, has anyone tried to evaluate his or her CIMA certificate (gotten through the CIMA-ICAN Pathway) with WES and what was the outcome?

I am on the verge of deciding whether or not i pay for the CIMA exams and use it to get more points as another certificate.

Please if you have gone through this route, please let me know the outcome, please.

Awwwww I know this is not what you planned for. Desole! It will be well. I do wonder if they can remark, as you said.

Mamaroon:
Thanks DM.

CRS moved from 431 to 434 (my previous TEF attempt was updated).... grin....I can't even laugh well...in these days of 450!!!!

What must I do to move from CLB 5 to CLB 7 in EE? I actually thought I did well with the letter (maybe not). I wonder if AF can critique one's past paper?

A lot of people have gone on to do second or third degrees after landing as permanent residents in Canada. Plus, tuition for permanent residents is far less than tuition for international students.

The person should go ahead with PR.

Phaytie:
Good day, nairalanders.

Pls, I have a question.

A health care personnel here in Nigeria, wishes to study for a second degree in medicine in Canada, but due to the cost of tuition in Canada is contemplating trying out the permanent residency.

So, when he gets to Canada, he can work for a while with his first degree and save up for the second degree he dreams of.

Pls, is there any contrary better option, opinion or advicehuh
