The Peoples Democratic Party has expressed deep concerns over the “apparent indifference” of the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), to what it described as burning national issues threatening the unity and stability of the country.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Olisa Metuh, in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday said “while well-meaning Nigerians and the international community are celebrating the peace fostered by the patriotic action of President Goodluck Jonathan in conceding defeat, Buhari and his party, the APC, have been moving around the country instigating division, engineering crisis and heightening tension in the polity.

“Whereas Buhari had assured Nigerians that he would be the President of the entire nation and not of a political party, his actions in the last one week show otherwise as he has continued to display sectionalism and insensitivity to matters inimical to the survival of our democracy and well-being of Nigerians.

“Instead of settling down to plan a smooth transition and design ways of deepening democracy in appreciation of the mandate given to him, General Buhari has tacitly encouraged his men to foment crisis and cause panic in the bid to muzzle personal freedom and impose a reign of terror in the land.”

For instance, Metuh alleged that Buhari has remained indifferent to the crisis in Ekiti where majority of the lawmakers who are all members of the APC have been planning to impeach Governor Ayodele Fayose.

Metuh added that, “APC’s ambition in Ekiti coupled with its odious triumphalism in the aftermath of the Presidential election have led to avoidable confrontations and near breakdown of law and order in the state as the people rise to defend the mandate freely given to the PDP.

“It is indeed unfortunate that while his men are causing crisis and threatening Nigerians, General Buhari, instead of calling them to order, displays his insensitivity by jetting around the country campaigning for his party.

“If this sort of insensitivity and arrogance of victory are foretaste of what to expect in a Buhari presidency, then our dear nation and its people are headed for a long trek in the wilderness.”

Meanwhile, Metuh in reaction to reports of defection from its fold described the defectors as political trojans, who from within have ceaselessly worked against the interest of the party and now fear that they would face sanctions for their actions.

#2. The frequency matters.

Let us take these points one by one.

#1 HOW SPECIFIC AND TRUE IS IT?

One problem about complimenting girls is that it makes them feel good JUST with THEMSELVES .
And why is this a problem?

This is why:

A guy compliments a girl so that girl will feel good and then like him in exchange.

That is; you don’t compliment her just so she go feel herself. You do it so she go feel you join. But when she go feel herself because of your sweet words, she no come feel you – the compliment becomes a waste.

The right thing is not just to compliment her but to do it in a way that will make her like you for the compliment.

HOW CAN YOU DO THIS?

Simple – by using a direct compliment and not a general one.

What is the difference?
Let me give you examples.

Just saying: “You are beautiful” – is too general, every guy says that.
“I like your nose, our kids go cute die” – is specific. Or you could even go like: “Nice hair, let me steal this picture and ask my baby sister to make it”.

ANOTHER ONE:

“Nice smile” is general. “The way your lower lip curve when you smile tho” - is specific.

Are you getting the gist?

The more specific your compliment is the more it doesn’t sound like wash, and the more it makes her really really not just feel good about herself, But also, feel good about you for complimenting her.

And the formula is to make your compliment direct, followed by a little teasing.

More examples: “You are sexy” is general.

“This your hips sha, if I dream about it I will bite your lips” is specific (No go use this one for pastor pikin o, she will vex for you).

The reason this works is that>>>>

One; it makes your compliment appear real and not just something you’ve said JUST to be nice.
Two; it makes her to feel good ABOUT HERSELF and the same time; GOOD ABOUT YOU.

#THE FREQUENCY OF YOUR COMPLIMENTS MATTERS

Too much of everything is bad. You should know that.
When you compliment a girl too often your compliments becomes too common and less powerful. Be sparse with it, you are not her ego booster, your job is not to make her feel good about herself. If you must compliment a girl make sure she has earned it. It should be a reward from you to her.

Guys compliment girls just so she will reward her with her attention.

Wrong Wrong Wrong Wrong. Very wrong.

Your compliment should only be given when she really deserves it. You are the boss. You should be in-charge.

If she wears something you don’t like, don’t compliment it. Last time I checked the devil is the father of all liars.

The Imo state Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has thrown his support for the Oba of Lagos, who threatened Igbos residing in Lagos of Death inside Lagoon if they fail to vote the APC Lagos Governorship candidate, Ambode, whom he claimed he hand picked for the position.

Okorocha speaking to the press in Imo state capital, Owerri, after Buhari's visit defended the Oba of Lagos and pointed out that the Oba of Lagos was not totally wrong in insisting that Igbos must vote Ambode .

He went further to echo that "Igbos should not portray themselves as ungrateful people, the only way they can show appreciation is by massively voting for APC the party that has protected their lives and properties over these years.

Dear romancelanders, a close friend of mine called me this morning (8th) and was complaing bitterly about his girlfriend.
This is the summary of his complain:


"he loves her so much and she loves him too. he's been dating her for over six years but she doesn't allow him kiss her. Anytime he makes a move, she'll tell him to wait for the right time, (wedding day, which he doesn't know if he'll be her husband).
Fast foward to yesterday(7th), he was a lucky guy because she paid him a suprise visit and decided to pass the night with him.
Everything spoiled because she kept rejecting his moves. Although she allowed him kiss her on her forehead, arms, cheeks, and other parts, she fasten her lips together and wouldn't allow him kiss her lips, despite applying all his badt boi methods he could think of..
It even came to a point where it looked as if he was trying to rape her and she burst into tears which made him angry and made him quarrel with her."

(don't think he is a learner because he is a baddo!)

i asked him to calm down and take everything easy.

What advice should i give him? Should he comply with her or breakup?
(I don't want to jump into conclusion for fear of ruining his 6yr+ old relationship. At this point i know he will take any advice from me, that's why i decided to bring it up here).

The All Progressives Congress will firmly be in control of the 8th House of Representatives as the majority party with over 214 members.

There are a total of 360 seats in the second chamber of the National Assembly.
Figures emerging from the outcome of the March 28 National Assembly poll, show that APC members are now 214, against the Peoples Democratic Party, which has 125 lawmakers.

The statistics gives a gap of 89 between the APC and the PDP in favour of the former.

The figures, whichThe PUNCHobtained on Tuesday, exclude the 11 federal constituency seats in Jigawa State, where election has yet to be conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

When elections for the 11 seats are conducted, the APC will possibly get additional seats, meaning that its numerical strength in the House may be well above 214 at inauguration on June 6.

Three other political parties, Labour Party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance and Accord Party, share the balance of 10 seats, bringing the total to 360.

The distribution of the figures shows that the APC has the highest membership haul from the North-West with 81 lawmakers, as against the PDP’s zero score for now.

It is followed by the South-West, where it won 47 seats compared to the PDP’s 20.

In the North-Central, the party got 41 seats and left eight for the PDP.
The APC’s performance in the North-East was 40 as against the seven seats won by the PDP.

The PDP’s strongest zone is the South-South, where it produced 52 members, compared to the APC’s three. The three seats came from Edo State.

The current majority party won 38 seats in the South-East, leaving only three for the APC in Imo State.

A further breakdown indicates that the APC did not win any seat in Ebonyi, Anambra, Enugu and Abia states.

Same goes for the South-South states of Rivers, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Cross Rivers and Bayelsa, where it did not produce any lawmaker.
However, the APC took all the seats in Kano, Katsina, Kaduna, Zamfara, Sokoto and Kebbi in the North-West.

In its second strongest zone (South-West), it got 19 seats out of 24 in Lagos; 12 in Oyo State; seven in Osun; five in Ondo and four in Ogun.

The PDP cleared all the six seats in Ekiti State.
In the North-Central axis, APC won all seats in Kogi, Kwara and Niger states. It won eight out of 11 in Benue; six out of eight in Plateau; and two out of five in Nasarawa State.

Similarly, it amassed all the seats in Bauchi and Borno states.
But, in Adamawa, the APC has seven, the PDP (one); Gombe, the APC has four, PDP (two); Taraba, APC two, PDP (three); and Yobe, APC five, PDP (one).

At the inauguration of the 7th Assembly on June 6, 2011, the PDP was in clear majority with around 208 lawmakers. The defunct Action Congress of Nigeria had about 70 members, followed by the then Congress for Progressive Change, which had around 40 lawmakers.

Following the historic merger in 2013 between the ACN, CPC and the All Nigerian Peoples Party to form the APC, the PDP began rapidly to lose its control of the House.

In December of the same year, 37 PDP members moved in one day to the APC. More defections followed in the run up to the last elections.

It was capped on October 28, 2014, with the defection of the Speaker, Mr. Aminu Tambuwal, a PDP lawmaker, to the APC.

By the time the two parties went for the March 28 polls, the APC’s membership in the House had risen to above 180, while the PDP fell to between 158 and 160.
The outcome of the polls further confirmed the APC’s control of the House and positioned it to produce the Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Majority Leader, Chief Whip and Deputy Majority Leader of the in-coming 8th Assembly.
This will turn the table against the PDP, now demoted to minority or the main opposition party.

Commenting on the turn of events on Tuesday, the outgoing Deputy Majority Leader, Mr. Leo Ogor, described it as “democracy at play,” though he assured Nigerians that the PDP would bounce back.

Fellow Nairalanders,a problem shared they say is a problem half solved,on that faithful morning,my friend left for work in a hurry cuz he was already late,after about thirty minutes he discovered that he was not with his tablet"phone",he had no choice but to go back home to get his phone,on getting home the first thing he discovered was that the door was locked which is unusual at that time of the day as his wife was supposed to be busy preparing the children for school before going to her shop,he rang the door bell but it took sometime for his wife to get the door,even when she did she wasn't her usual self and that raised his suspicion because of what neighbors have been telling him about his wife but he chosed not to believe.
He told his wife that he came back because he forgot his phone,his wife offered to fetch the handset but he followed her inside,the children who ought to hv taken their bath were still sleeping,since it was a room and parlor the guy entered the bedroom and behold the intruder was hiding beside their wardrobe.

I was rushing to my school bus stand to enter the bus before it fills up,then suddenly i hit my left leg against a stone,i now made the sign of the cross and continued my journey,then this girl walked up to me,and asked why i was making the sign of the cross,i replied her "the bible says we should pray at all time".she just laughed and we parted ways....a week later,i went to buy petrol at the station in my street,i had my earpiece stuffed in my ears,enjoying my highlife by osadebe,....i got to the station,bought the fuel,then on my return journey,someone tapped me and said.."oboy person d call u",when i turned,lo and behold,it was same gal i had met in school,i crossed to the other side of the road to meet her,i didn't know she was the one until she helped me recall....she was with plenty bags,and i inquired what she was doing with all those bags,she said she's just returning from Ph,that she saw me when i passed,and called me but i didnt answer her... I apologized,and asked her if she had any goody for me ,she said i should follow her to her house if i needed one....i declined cos i was rushing home to watch UEFA match,and told her i'd come for it another day,after which i collected her number and rushed off.......on friday that week,i went for a friend's birthday party,and slept over,when i was coming back on saturday evening,i met this same girl on the road,and she said i've been reluctant about coming to visit her,that i must follow her to her lodge that nite,i agreed,when we got to her house,it was a self con room,nice,i loved d paintings on her wall,i was admiring the room,while she was packing her cloths she washed earlier inside,after that,the next thing,she started undressing herself,leaving only her panties and bra on,after which she used her towel to cover herself before entering the bathroom,all this while,i just kept my cool,pressing my fone....she finally came out of the bathroom,and layed down on her bed with only her towel,we talked a few more minutes,before i told her that i'd love to take my leave now....when i got home,she sent me a whatsapp message saying i didn't ask her to offer me anything....i need ur opinions here,was she sending me GREEN LITES or was it normal?

I was employed as an architect in a medium size architectural firm, my boss happens to be a lady.

I hitched a ride in her car after a meeting with a client on site, It's was even my first time of hitching a ride in her car, as I have always eschewed it, on getting to the office she asked me to carry her hand bag along, but I turned deaf ear to her request and swiftly went straight to the office, but she came to my office and gave me a sullen glare.

I thought the malice won't last long, but unfortunately for me, she fired me this morning for a no cogent reason.

I'm downcast and bewildered, she's just privilege to be the manager because it's her dad firm, she's my contemporary, and I was on the verge of supervising a gigantic project.

When Orubebe took to the floor yesterday to disrupt proceedings at the Collation centre, I feared for the worst. Just imagine what would have happened if one or two of the security men had forcefully tried to remove him. He would have fought them off, the other PDP agents would have come to his defense and the police would have been called in to remove everyone using teargas.

That would have been the end of it. In the ensuing melee, the result sheets would have disappeared and all hell would have broke loose.

State of emergency would have been declared and we would be talking about elections in two years time or more depending on how subsequent events panned out.

I don't even want to imagine the pogroms that would have ensued? In 1962, the case of disruption of proceedings in the Western Region House of Assembly led to the state of emergency which led to the January 1966 coup and this lead to the northern counter-coup and eventually the tragic civil war.

Yesterday, Godsday Orubebe nearly threw Nigeria into such a turmoil again but President Goodluck Jonathan averted it.

What transpired in the Presidential Villa was this: when the outcome of the election began to turn against President Goodluck Jonathan, many Hawks in government and in PDP started pressurizing him to step in and turn the tide via manipulation and State power. He refused.

I know someone who knelt down with tearful eyes asking him to act like an African President and jettison this European idea of gentlemanism. PGEJ refused to intervene.

When President Jonathan's attention was drawn to what Orubebe was doing on TV, he quickly asked one of his aide to get him General Buhari immediately on the phone. Contrary to reports that GEJ was watching the programme, the man left others to watch it and went to sleep. The trending picture of him with Abdusalami purportedly watching the event is a big hoax. That picture was taken during the peace-accord drive of Gen. Abdulsalami before the election.

President Jonathan quickly called Gen. Buhari to congratulate him even before the collation officially ended because he wanted to pull the sail on the antics of his Hawkish supporters. If he hadn't done that they would have used his influence to do something foolish. It was Okonjo Iweala that called President Jonathan to intimate him of Orubebe's actions.

I have been battling tears ever since I learnt what happened. If only Nigerians knew that many Hawkish PDP stalwart and top government officers stormed out angrily on this humble President when they learnt he had called Gen. Buhari to concede defeat, claiming that he betrayed them. One Northern ally of his even called him weak. That call was what saved the day. Orubebe was told of the call and he quietly walked away, allowing collation proceedings to continue.

GEJ made that call to Buhari around 16:15 hours.

Only the Doves remained with President Jonathan. Many of the Hawks are still not speaking to him even now.

General Abdulsalami and other African Statesmen were still pondering how to douse the expected mayhem and they placed a call to Gen. Buhari to plead with him to restrain his supporters and to tell him they were preparing to go and meet President Jonathan to call his Hawkish associates to order when Gen. Buhari told them not to bother that PGEJ has already called him and conceded defeat. Everyone was stunned beyond word.
