Mr Tinubu should as a matter of urgency increase production and also increase agro export.
The more forex we earn, the more the prices go down.

We can't be hunting forex in an import dependent economy and be praying for forex to crash.

How will productivity increase when the businesses that should bring it are severely suffering

Its gonna be a very long ride ooo

Lack of integrity on the path of these security agents and the authorities
If you have ever lived around any border town, you will never trust those uniform men

While i was at Yewa, i knew many security officers that are into Smuggling, some even use tbeir family house to store some of their wares

Let the government be playing and not uprooting the bad eggs, smuggling goes nowhere with this same set of officers

Not even now that the country is hard, they simply request more money or confiscate your wares and sell it off to their pals, all na win-win for them
Politics › Re: Tribulation: Dollar Now N789 by ambale(m): 6:56am On Jul 11, 2023
ArcFresky:
It's economics, stupid.

Buhari was taking loans to support the naira.
So was Goodluck.

Interms of economics, Goodluck was the worst.

Goodluck was borrowing when Crude oil, our main source of income was selling at $120\ barrel.

All the economics they practiced were unsustainable. For God's sake, we were borrowing to pay salary, borrowing to subsidize fuel?

Obi, the proposed messiah, doesn't even export. His main business is based on importing.

I know this economics pass your assimilation levels, but try to reason. This is now a market economy, what I would expect Tinubu to do, is to support the poorest.

Now, people will find cheaper alternative to imported goods, it's better to export now, than to import, it's our preference for imported goods that's killing the economy.

What would Obi even have done differently?
Borrow more?
What efforts are governments on all levels putting in to ameliorate the intended poverty that would come with this?

No matter how you want to garnish a leader or policy, if you dont put in the necessary work, it would still amount to failure

I expect that by now, governors and other stakeholders be working on making their states viable, instead everyone is resorting to begging and you are here spewing english upandan

Kudos oo

So we all should thank him for brandishing the weapons abi?

All these noise about over-bloated cost of governance makes no sense when you consider that our budget size is way too small for our population size. Its almost ridiculous in comparisons with countries with either similar population or GDP size; the focus should be on significantly improving revenue and investing same in health, education & infrastructure to achieve higher income for our people.
Leave all these overnight economists to deir play now

They would soon understand that Nigeria's problem is that of revenue and not otherwise and the only aspirant that talked about it didnt win

Even the work from home has been flagged down by many foreign companies, well let's hope things come back to normal on time

no govt cannot anywhere in the world
Govt is useless
Private is better every time
Of course private owners are business/profit oriented while governments are just for social benefits

But that should not mean we shouldn't hold them responsible for dragging the country down for too long
