Who asked u to celebrate the government? Reading comprehension.

Governments have no business handling business. Yaradua should have never reversed the sale of the 3 public refineries obasanjo sold. Obasanjo made the right decision - that was good governance. And if you want to compete enter the industry. Nobody is stopping anybody. Just because u don’t have the capacity to does not mean dangote should not venture into the business. Grow up.
So what exactly is the job of the government?

Looting and sponsoring thugs right? You are the one that needs to really grow up

This IMO state guy is just being partisan. Everyone knows BUA will also finish his refinery next year.

What are the other options this country has? Government can’t run any business. All their refineries keep swallowing money & is useless.

Subsidy is a pit that also swallows money wt no benefit for expansion. Subsidy is gone. The goal is increasing states revenue generation and providing a living minimum wage.
See the excuse you are giving for the failures of the governments you spend heavy taxes to cater for

So government cannot handle simple issues that private owners can and we should celebrate them for that🤣

Cyberterror:
There are many ways of government easing the pain of subsidy removal aka palliatives. The government doesn't necessarily have to spend money to do this. The federal government can cut import duties by 50% for the next one year only. They can also cut excise duties for local manufacturing firms at the same rate and for the same duration. The states and local governments on their own part can stop collecting ticket revenues and daily levies from keke and bus operators in exchange for keeping transport prices at pre-removal rates for the next six months. Traders in their various markets can get similar reliefs.

But no matter the strategy that government adopts, petrol subsidy must never be reinstated no matter the pressure by enemies of Nigeria led by the NLC that are remote controlled by the defeated labour party.
Even the subsidy shouldn't have been paid in cash at all, governments needs to reduce how they play with cash everywhere jere

Exactly the make it seem like this subsidy removal is a magic wand once they wave it all out problems are gone. But it’s all a big fat lie this isn’t the first time they are removing or reducing subsidy payment what happened to the previous money saved when they reduced subsidy payment. Which aspect of the economy did they channel it to?
Abi ooo, same government took out that of diesel, kerosene and gas still we no see anything from the removal

Nigerians didn’t ask the right questions then and we sure aren’t asking the right questions now…
Why do we have subsidy in the first place?
Because me import fuel right
So why do we import fuel?
Because our refineries aren’t working?
So why aren’t our refineries working?

If we fixed all our refineries would we still need to import fuel?

So why haven’t we channeled resources over the years to fix the refineries?

We stopped importation of rice because “we want to grow our economy and consume locally grown rice right?

So why did the price of locally grown rice shoot up?

These and many more are questions we should be asking the government. These are things we should demand answers to otherwise we’ll just keep hearing different nonsense every new day
They will not listen to you now, they want to please their paymasters ni

What happened to systematically build the country? these guys have sponsored terror on the nation in the name of boko haram and other terrorist groups just to siphon public funds in the name of defense

All the monies spent on defense can't be accounted for, businesses are not flourishing, governors are too lazy

But suddenly fuel subsidy removal is the answer to all our problems

How? They don't know🤣

Oga it is not a lie.

The day you realize that subsidy is a big drain on our economy, you will see it is not a lie

I am not defending any bad goverment, I wish fuel could be sold at even 100 naira per liter. But right now we are.borrowing to pay for subsidy. Among other things. And it is time we.stopped
But the same people are still parading themselves as solution now

Why is the government paying subsidy in cash if they were sincere?

What happened to giving the people a relief policy before this?

My point is there is always a way to get these things done sha

I dont like tinubu, but how were we supposed to keep on paying for oil subsidy

Something that cost us 10trillion last year and has already.cost 7 trillion this year?

Oga i am serious
I don't have any issues with the subsidy but I have issues with aggravating the issue

How are we sure they spend that much on the said subsidy?

Are our governors just gonna be useless and empowering thugs and claim no revenue when they don't even give reliefs in their states to lure businesses there?

There are so many questions on the table but subsidy removal cannot solve all our problems as these guys make it seem

The thing about this subsidy removal is that Nigeria is never ready for anything

Everyone talking as if once the subsidy goes, corruption follows it

Who will stop the corruption going on in education, health, finance, defence and every other sector by the same civil servants and political class that are strong parties to this subsidy removal?

Foolish poor tribal hypocrites who call themselves citizens too will find a way to support their nonsense

We also call for a part time legislative arm and let them be paid according to their sittings

Nigeria cannot afford to feed your useless lifestyles anymore, all allowance gone, all aides reduced, let the police all leave the VIPS and the ones who need them should pay at least 1million monthly for their servjces, let all private jet owners pay monthly taxes also

Let all civil servants and political office holder declare and defend their assets

They don't even know if it would benefit or not

There are things we should have fixed before totally taking out subsidy

Stuffs like a good mortgage system, a streamlined transport system, massive job creation, credit facilities, this way a lot of people would not feel the heat but now we are running a debit economy, it's cash and carry

Make we see if there supporters will not change mouth in few weeks time

Cement is a case study, even as damgote who is a major rich guy is the controlling it, he couldn't even drag the price down
