I have no idea about the joint account thing. The COS you’re using to apply should tell you whether or not you need to provide proof of funds, if maintenance is ticked Y then you don’t need to.

If it’s Health and Care visa, the visa fee for 3 years and above visa application is £479 per application.

2. You’re in the best place to answer this bro; go through your COS or partner’s COS, you’ll find your answer there.

3. I was asked this and my answer was YES.

4. I was asked this too and my answer was NO cause I dey apply as dependant and I nor get work there.

5. Again, you’re in the best place to answer this; is your COS under health and care? If yes, then your answer should be YES.

For whatsapp call logs; screenshot your partner’s whatsapp contact details and then proceed to screenshot the call logs whether or not it was only her you spoke with(I had some months in my call log where it was only my wife’s call that was in there from top to bottom and other times where other people and her were on the call log). Put the screenshots on ms word and convert to a pdf file, start with your wife’s whatsapp contact screenshot. You can save her contact with anything nice and romantic or her first name. You can also save your whatsapp profile name with your first name for whatsapp chat reference purpose.

* You fit ask her to use photo wey una two dey as her profile picture before you start the screenshots sef

For whatsapp chat; export your chat with her to your mail, then copy to ms word and convert to a pdf file. You can google for how to export in case you don’t know how to.

In my wife’s CoS, maintenance was ticked and there was a sponsor’s note that said maintenance is only being certified for sponsored migrant which I thought meant I have to provide proof of funds during my own application. But I didn’t cause my wife told me that her older colleagues got the same CoS and that their partners applied without pof and they got their visas.

The first NHS Trust has accepted my signed offer letter and did the pre-employment checks, reference and ID verification but CoS is taking time and from what I have learnt, people have been waiting for this particular NHS Trust for long without being issued COS.

Another NHS Trust where a successful interview was done just also sent a job offer today which has been accepted.

My question now is how do I manage this situation? Apparently anyone that issues COS first is what I will go for. will I be penalized by the first NHS Trust should this Second NHS Trust send me cos?

I was told one can be told to pay for the COS once it’s already issued in one’s name. We have contacted this first NHS Trust, but they are not ready to give us a specific timeline when the cos will be issued and ready to go for the second once the cos is ready.

Please guy how best can this situation be managed without ruing things up.

My wife had this same dilemma. She had an offer from one NHS Trust located in London last year October but the Trust was so slow in completing all the pre employment checks and issuing her COS. By March 2023, after 5 months of waiting on the Trusts, we decided it was best for her to resume job hunting cause our mind bin nor too dey that London sef due to cost of living. Luckily for her towards the end of March, she got another NHS offer which she gladly accepted. This new NHS trust had told her that they hope to get her in by May if all pre employment checks are duly completed on time with no issues. I just say erm, na so let’s wait for who will first issue COS and turn down the other(I just come dey pray make e be say na that 2nd offer go quick issue her COS because I nor like that London, but inside my mind I don still decide say if na that one still first come o, we go march am).

By the 2nd week of April this other Trust(2nd offer) gave her COS and immediately she got the COS, she wrote the first NHS Trust located in London and politely withdrew her acceptance of their offer of employment. They wished her best of luck.

My wife has since arrived in the UK and currently working as a staff nurse with the 2nd NHS Trust that was quick to issue her COS.

Go through the sign-in link that was emailed to you when you completed your application. Upon signing in, click on ‘provide documents and biometrics’. That should take you to your TLS portal, you should see the track tab there.

Morning guys! After submitting all necessary documents on the TLS portal(self upload), is it normal for that number 2 and 3 not to be checked like the number 1 even when It’s showing documents submitted? Yet to go for biometrics though.

Another thing is I didn’t put one of my document in the appropriate category, I hope it’s not going to be an issue.

Is there anyway someone can get the hardcopy of a police character certificate? E-copy dey but the organization that wants to see it needs the physical one and they don’t accept scans that were printed out even in colour or photocopy.

If there’s no additional sponsor’s note included in the COS that states ‘maintenance is only certified for the sponsored migrant’ or something like that, they should be covered as well. But if there is, they will need to provide proof of funds when applying.

If its urgent then u cant get cheap courier...dhl, EMS, UPS will not charge u less than 30k-40k cos charges have gone up... ordinary lagos to ogun by dhl is 5600Naira for paper in an medium sized envelope...

I have sent land documents packaged in a big sized envelope to Kent, UK via dhl in Sapele for just under 20k around September last year. Like you said, the price might have gone up, make e go ask for their office.

If I am single with a COS and apply for visa then I later get married after the visa application, will it in any way affect my wife’s dependent visa application? Like, can she still go ahead and apply for dependent visa later on even though I was single during my own visa application.

They weren’t honest with prospective learners from the get-go, told us what we wanted to hear so we can enroll with them and later came with talks of ‘how majority of learners won’t be able to achieve ATHE due to their educational level and how after 3 assessments failure feedback you get WITHDRAWN from the course’ and also presented a cheaper alternative. After course don finish ooo and I don submit all assessments. Something they never mentioned at the beginning.

This is deceit. This is fraud. This is scam. This is LPTC.

Update on my LPTC experience; I found out about them on this thread back in January I think, did my due diligence and liked what they were offering -
1. ATHE Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care
2. Care Certificate
3. International First aid

I went to their branch office in Benin for further enquiry, met a staff who told me that their previous awarding body was Highfield and they recently switched to ATHE. I asked why the change in awarding body and he mentioned something about delay issues. I went further to ask him how the course is assessed, he said that there’s no exam, just assessments that will be checked if it’s up to standard, for plagiarism and that assessments can always be redone until it fulfills the necessary criteria set in place.

With this in mind, I decided to enroll with them, paid the full amount(350k) upon enrollment and I started the course in February. We started with the care standards and duly got the care certificate. Finished the whole ATHE course and first aid in May and submitted all assessments(6) same month before I went on 150hrs clinical placement. Of all 6 assessments I submitted, I only got feedback for 2 and it was about plagiarism. I redid them and submitted.

Fast forward to July, I got a mail saying that majority of learners won’t be able to achieve the ATHE level 3 diploma due to their assessments not meeting the standard that at this point we have two options. Option 1; transfer of assessments and everything to another awarding body with easier criteria and is less strict - UKQUALS. No need to redo assessments if all 6 for ATHE have been submitted.
Option 2; continue with ATHE and after 3 failure feedback on plagiarism or assessments not meeting standard, you get withdrawn from the course and as such no diploma certificate for you.

Immediately contacted some fellow learners if they had gotten the same mail, they all said yes. Called LPTC Benin office straight up, I mean where’s all this coming. This was not what you people told us before we enrolled, what changed? No reasonable response. Some days later, I got feedback on my other assessments and this time I was told some tasks weren’t up to standard. Na here I take realize say LPTC don play us big big. I didn’t just bother to redo anything.

I took the easy way out, opted for option 1 which is UKQUALS awarding body, a not so popular body, highly unlikely that is regulated by OFQUAL and not sure it is equivalent to NVQ.

They have issued me all certificate and my business with them is done but they are not straightforward. Be careful with them

1. Go to myperfectcv dot co dot uk. It’s a uk cv builder that has pre text to even guide you on making your cv standard. Don’t use their pre text so it doesn’t make your cv look generic, it has to be unique to you. Make sure whatever education and work history you’re including has to do with health care, nothing else. If you be automobile engineer and get experience in the field, keep am for one side cause e nor follow for the job you wan apply for. Please note that you’ll need to pay small fee before you can download the cv. Indeed dot co dot uk is also another great option to create a uk standard cv via the profile.

2. Can’t say by which means they will be contacted but It’s mainly by mail though, na why dem nor dey play with official mail.

3. I understand nhs requires 3 while most other settings requires 2. I think the reference has to be from previous or current work, not entirely sure.

I’m doing it and so far it’s been good. The assessment part is not kind of easy though, it involves lots of research, like say person dey do project. We started with care standards then proceeded to the course units proper. We’ve got two units left to do before we proceed for the clinical part of the course where we carry out a placement in a hospital for 150 hours.

We are expecting our care certificates anytime soon.

1. Experience isn’t really necessary but it’s an added advantage, it will do your CV lots of good if you have some.

2. Yes, ukvi ielts general.

3. Overall band of 4.5 but I understand some potential employers are requesting for a minimum of 5.5 abi 6.
