Agu Okonko is widely practiced in Ihitte/Uboma, Imo state. Communities well known for this cultural festival are:
Umuihi and Amakohia between the months of june and july. Lowa in August and Umuderim in December.

Other state governors should Emulate Amosun in this area.

@the poster, this thread has gone up to 30 pages without any one answering your question. Anyway, Delta Igbo means Ndigbo who are found in Delta state from From Agbor-Ogwashi Ukwu-Asaba-Kwale.
While Bendel Igbo includes Ndigbo in old Bendel state (Igbanke, Edo state) and the ones in present Delta state.

I understand your angle. It is a revenue drive. The state is heavilly in debt and that has to be reduced if not wiped off. The refund has to be bit by bit. God bless Ogun state.

@Jason, people like you are the ones dragging Nigeria backwards. As the world is moving ahead, Lagos state is moving ahead as well. Best candidates for every position irrespective of ethnic affiliation. That has seen Aganga through and will see others through in the future.

Well done Amosun. But that is not enough. Those that have benefited from the state pulse to embark on pilgrimages should be asked to refund the money bit by bit. A special task force may be created to enforce this refund. It will really help the debt-ridden state.

There are many employment opportunities just like in other states excluding Lagos state. However, Imo state has an excessive manpower that diminishes the employment opportunities. Are you not surprised that for the last 19 years, Imo state has led in University enrolment.
Do not be discouraged, just organise your C.V well. Learn some interview skills and be confident. I can be of good help in this area but should not be for the purpose of this thread.
I do not know your speciality but I have got one confidential info for you. INEC Owerri is about to recruit people with computer science and IT background. It will soon be advertised.

There are two major prisons in the state and they are located at Owerri and Okigwe.

Tourist sites include Oguta wonderlake, Abadaba lake, birth site of King Jaja, the source of Imo River in Onuimo LGA.

But you should be careful because some Equatorial Guineans answer Igbo names but are not necessarily Igbo.

A company rep from Equatorial Guinea and of Igbo ancestry told me about the Igbo in Equatorial Guinee and reminded me yesterday to watch the E.E womens team play yesterday against Norway. I did watch the match live on Eurosports and I confirmed what he had told me. There are indigenous Igbo people in Equatorial Guinea. They have been there more than hundred and ten years now.
Chinasa and Diala do not speak Igbo but their grand parents and parents do. This is from a Guinean who knows them.
