seanet02:Irrelevant. |
Calculia:For once, I have to disagree with you on this one. |
It is interesting to note that two of the eleven girls that featured for the Equatorial Guinean female team against Norway today are Igbo girls. Diala and Chinasa. |
Funny enough the Ikwerres in Rivers State will almost kill anyone that calls them Igbos, they do not want to be associated with the igbos in anyway even if they speak Igbo. I have tried to tell some of them that their igbos and not true Rivers indigenes but they were furious. The Aniomas will do anything to be known as Niger Deltans, they do not want to identify with the igbos although they speak ibo. I have one of them as class mates and she always make it very clear that she is not an Igbo girl.
You are a no brainer at all. So if your deluded Ikwerre friends say they are not Igbo means Ikwerre is not Igbo. By your idiotic logic, if Sarakis say they are not Yorubas equates to Ilorins not Yoruba. At a time when the president gen of Ohanaeze is an Anioma man yet you have the courage to chat about your misguided Anioma friend who does not know his identity. How about the president of the Igbo elite group-Aka Ikenga. Have you not known that he is an Anioma man?. Sometimes, some of you guys chat like people with two left legs. |
@Knowall, you have come with this your divisionist theory again. Why have you sworn with the devil not to see Ndigbo unite. River Benue split up the Tivs into two, yet they are in Benue state. River Benue was not used as a yardstick separate this group. In this case, River Niger should be eliminated in the instance of the Igbo. Igbo bu otu meaning Igbo is one. |
mithel:https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-667076.32.html This sort of thread already exist as you can see in the link above. |
Dis Guy:His dressing is not different from the Hausa-Fulanis.
|
ezeagu:It seems they do not know that there is strength in unity especially the Igbo groups in Rivers. |
Abagworo:Why do they turn every village to an ethnic nationality?. Within the Igbo groups, you have about 10 ethnic nationalities. |
The Sarakis see ACN as a Yoruba party as they are pro Hausa-Fulani. They do not want any thing that is Yoruba even in their pattern of dressing as you can see in this photo.
|
Congrats to Tinie Tempah and the entire Okongwu family. |
Flood washing away homes and damaging properties and even cutting peoples lives short is not new in Ibadan. The Ogunpa River in Ibadan has posed this problem for ages. Some natives in Ibadan believes that if certain sacrifices are not made in that River, the River will expand its banks and cause mayhem to locals. This may not be true but Ogunpa deserves an urgent attention from Ajumobi. |
I hate how the little subgroups like to claim they are a separate tribes. I have never believe that there are 250 ethnic groups. There are probably only 50 or less.
There is up to 250 ethnic grops because every village in Rivers state wants to be seen as an ethnic nationality. For Example Egbema ethnic nationality while Egbema in Imo state is Igbo. Ndoki in Abia state is Igbo while Ndoki in Rivers state is an ethnic nationality. Soon it will be each family as an ethnic group in Rivers state. What a shame |
The likes of Amb Uwechue, Utomi, Edozien, Okonjo, Achuzia, Okogwu etc has always clamoured for an Anioma state that will be zoned to the south east. But someone like Wesley80 here on nairaland would want an Igbo state that has nothing to do with the south east. |
Let us say no to marginalisation. Am not happy if Yorubas, Ndigbo or any group is marginalised. |
@The thread starter, Rivers state is not entirely Igbo. About half of the population are not Igbo. Though Ndigbo are agitating for more states but the Igbo in Rivers are not really keen to have one. Some Igbo groups in Rivers state such as The Ndokis, Omumas, Obigbos should join their kins in the proposed Aba or Enyimba state. The Egbema in Rivers state should also join their kins in Egbema, Imo state. |
Andre Uweh:My post is in accordance with the thread. Delta Igbo and Rivers Igbo are better positioned for regional integration with the south east. Alloy was right as well, Edo is very close to Yorubaland and is better postioned to cooperate with the south west in comparism to Cross River state that is thousands of miles away. |
Why do they not include kwara GOVERNOR and Kwarans?. |

Isoko Wado. My special greetings to the peaceful people of Isoko. Ndi Isoko, Chukwu gozie unu. God bless Isoko people. |
I do not know why some groups are placed where they are not wanted and do no belong to. The idea of regional cooperation is laudable in the south south. However, Anioma in Delta state and Upland Rivers state should look to the south east for regional cooperation. |
APGA lost massively in Okigwe zone because of less presense in that zone. But Ararume performed betther than Ohakim and Rochas in Okigwe South constituency. It's a pity Ohakim was declared the winner in that constituency. |
sley4life:Bush meat means Anuohia or anuofia. But Ikiri when used in Okakim's tern does not mean anuohia. It is like saying that Tiger wood is a bush animal. |
ZnO:Ndigbo constitute 20% of Nigerian population. My personal view, may be 1% more. |
