all4naija: Dassault-Breguet, Dornier Alpha Jet and a host of others.

What kind of jet fighter do pilots fly?
only the alpha, j7 and and 2 su24s are in service. Only the SU24 is any good. J7 are basically Mig21s and the alpha jets are ok not world class not bad just ok.

Saaf flies gripens and hawk 120s. With the A-darta the Hawk could handle all those aircraft.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 10:15pm On May 12, 2013
agaugust: thats a big lie. nigeria has many modern weapons that south africa does NOT have and you have no plans to even buy some of them.

then some of nigerian heavy weapons from year 2000 to 2012 were purchased in many hundreds costing billions of dollars.

you want me to prove you wrong with photos and weblinks in front of your fellow south africans here ?

nigeria too has no need of submarines and grippen jets, no threat against us in those areas. equation balanced.

north korea started missile project like nigeria, today america is threatened by the past under-estimated north korea, nigerian long range missile project is aimed to grow to inter-continental ballistic level, thats a threat to even europe in future, it is linked to our space launch rocketry and trajectory project going on at epe coastal are of lagos
what dose nigeria have that we do not have. You have a few SPAAGs but other than that there is nothing.

nigeria has a stand request for both a SUB and a new fighter aircraft. the current ones where only meant to be interim.

the rockets dont threaten the USA they threaten US interested AKA SK and japan. And with out a nuke on them they would be nothing. And let be frank the nuke is a waist of time for both SA and Nigeria.

Mbuisi: The last picture I have it, so please do not let me to disgrace you by telling the truth about where do you get that picture from.
the iron cross is paint on the side of it. But nigeria dose have a few roland SAM sytems. to be exated they have 16 roland block 2s on amx30 chassis.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 10:05pm On May 12, 2013
agaugust: nigerian air force has the most powerful jet fighters in our west african sub-region, no threat around us.

south african grippen jets have no range to reach nigeria, and no special air to surface weapons on south african jet fighters. also, only 6 south african grippen jets can fly as at today, the remaining 20 jets have no pilots or are tied down in long term storage, NOT active, due to financial problems of south africa.

nigerian army has the best anti-aircraft missile defences in the whole of africa second only to egypt

nigeria has the anti-aircraft capability to shoot down the whole south african air force in 5 minutes
never doubted that, but it more to do with the weakness of the rest of west africas air force not the strength of nigeria's air force

yes that is true, there is mid long term plan for a airtanker, most likely a KC130. incorrect the SAAF operates the paveway 3 LGB and a number of long range standoff weapons are available but not integrated or in the pipeline, again incorrect SAAF has 6 pilots senior pilots at 2 squadron at all times, they rotated around with pilots seconded to other units(normally air school has instructors), on leave or on course. nor dose it take in to account junior pilots who have yet to qualify on the gripen but are in 2 squadron. This was covered. SAAF has 12 gripens ready. SAAF all so has 2 full simulators and the hawk and gripen have the same copit. this was covered some time ago. We still point out SAAF sent 8 pilots to sweded for war games and the gripens flew 850 hours last year.

what a lie, you have a few roland SAMs, a few manpads(most a orxy would deafet) and some AA guns

The roland is without a doubt nigerian Air defens best weapon. But it is no threat to a gripen. It use old fashion Radar and has a max detection range of about 20km, max missile range 8km and effect engagement range about 6km. basical the gripen can just fly above it and drop LGBs on them. Algeria has a far better SAM sytem than nigeria

SANDF ground based Air Defense was just upgraded. The 35mm AA guns and Starstreak SAM have been complement with the new ground based umkhonto. The vehicle carries 6 block 2 sams and was revealed late last year. Full detail on numbers are not yet known.

Mbuisi: The enemy atleast respect their military installation and rather attacks innocent people on the streets. Now is different if the enemy attacks government buildings and even launch offensive on the homes and base of soldiers and set them ablaze. I will only tells you one thing that the enermy knows your strength and undermines you. Just the thought of attacking the military base should scare the enermy away and should never even think of committing the nasty attacks any near such installation. Any man who undermines the prowess of your family will even attack you at your home, I mean even if you are hiding in your bedroom will make sure that he will budge in and attack you before your family members.
IRA attacked a few brit bases, even killed a few of the royal famly

CAMEROONPRIDE: not a major issue from whom perspective? SA or the foreigners? For you to neglect and minimize this issue tells a lot
It no longer any higher than the national level that is what i mean. Any case they can leave for back home any time they want.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 7:16pm On May 12, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: What I'm saying is clear, 90% of the UA is financed by Western.so it is a known fact that the AU is a Western tool
most of that money is for AU peacekeeping missions. Basically if africa could do it themselves they would not need western help
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 7:15pm On May 12, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: What All4naija was asking is : what is your gov doing to tackle the killings of foreigners, so far you haven't been able to answer, which means your gov is doing nothing
That problem is no longer a major issue
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 6:57pm On May 12, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: The AU is a Western tool, and the members are clueless. Screw the AU.

The problem is they have been brainwashed by u Europeans, and please stop making it looks like It's all rosy theres a lot of SA don't like you in fact you don't like each others
what only one country in africa is not part of the AU(excluding those suspended)and it is not cameroon. so you saying cameroon is a western tool.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 6:54pm On May 12, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: please being harassed and not being free are two different things, there were white women harassed because they fcked black men in the USA, that doesn't mean they were not free or didn't have any rights

White have never been oppressed in Sa, they all enjoyed the advantages of apartheid.so celebrating freedom is a joke and not welcome
white (k word) lovers where treated worse than blacks during apartheid they where seen has traitors.

My mother was forced to flee SA because she sang liberation songs at AWB rallies has part of a UCT protest.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 6:51pm On May 12, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: in your wet dreams
they made a indian head of finance and Flag officer fleet is white he is the highest ranked combat officer in SAN and second highest in the navy. but yes a white ANC president will not happen for some time
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 6:48pm On May 12, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: no , apartheid is an African history first...so I have my say on this issue, next you Will tell us that there were black for apartheid.
what dose apartheid have to do with africa. This is a matter of south africans.

why is is that black people outside of SA care more about white people in SA. And white south africans are African

Afrikaans is recognised has a indigenous african language by the AU
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 6:29pm On May 12, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: that's not the point, the point is you have never been in bondage, enslaved, etc so celebrating freedom is distorting history and trying to rewrite, and it doesn't make any sense
it is a south african thing leave it at that
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 6:18pm On May 12, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: You didn't get my point, he is white so I don't think they celebrate or should celebrate freedom. So his we is misleading.
Only the real SA( black/African) celebrate freedom, history shouldn't b corrupted..
There where white people opposing the apartheid regime. did you know that?
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 6:11pm On May 12, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: did they call u? Answer the question? They never called u and u enslaved them just like your German brothers so painting SA white is funny esp for a country with expansionism ideologies and records of invasions , enslavements and apartheid
Old regime old news old policie
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 6:00pm On May 12, 2013
all4naija: From this your argument it is clear SA has no independence. That I cannot agree with. Sorry!
freedom is more important than indecency for us that is all.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 5:48pm On May 12, 2013
all4naija: Have you forgotten so soon Cape Town plan to secede in the near past? You keep begging the question with irrelevancy.

Stable South Africa with the African worse crime rates. Why not fight your high crimes first before pointing accusing fingers at Nigeria?
Show proof.

And the most accurate data at the same time. Most african countries dont even know there crime rate
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 5:44pm On May 12, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: what are u talking about?
When you tried to enslave Namibia did they call u?
that piece of land you to where argue about

techical it was german land when we took it. And we gave it indepency at the end of aparthied

agaugust: .

nigerian army, africa's best....uses regular attacks for combat practice

the best army in combat is the one that is always being attacked regularly to keep in fighting shape

nigerian civil war with B.iafra, biggest war in african history

500,000 soldiers, half a million with jet fighters and bombers, warships/frigates, tanks, heavy artillery used for 3 years

nigerian army, air force, navy weapons that are superior to south african military weapons

nigerian military has a long list of modern weapons that are superior to south africa older weapons. some of the nigerian weapons are NOT even available in south africa at all. e.g nigerian navy Israeli made sophisticated sea drones USV.

i have posted this long list before on page 103 and page 115 of this thread, any need to repeat it today ?

these above topics will be my next posts later tonight. how are you doing guys ? @snydergep continues to wisely avoid talking about the south african army defeat by seleka rebels. conscience is an open wound, only truth can heal it

@all4naija, good job, you scored many points right on target.

i need to answer some of your questions last week. nigerian army and airforce in mali are already using our naija made Amebo II air drones UAV and naija made land drones USV for combat missions in mali. nigeria is the only nation using drones now in mali war.

also, nigeria wanted to get the full transfer of technology to build long range ballistic missiles from north korea, but america complained and we stopped it because north korea might use the billion dallars from nigerian ballistic missile deal, to fund its nuclear missile program and threaten south korea.

then, nigeria decided to build our own long range ballistic missiles locally by converting the lagos Epe lagoon beach satellite and rocketry project to both civil and military use. about 100 nigerian military officers are already working with our civilian researchers on the epe facilities.

so far nigerian built rockets/missiles have been test fired up to a range of 120km.

nigeria is also in full discussion with Russia to build a full capacity world class nuclear reactor in abuja semi-deserts area.

combine the missiles building with the nuclear reactor building...you know the meaning, i am sure.

nigeria is planning to be at the same military power level of pakistan, dangerous enough to bluff any super power nation.
no that is wrong. Nigeria is fighting one style of war and has put all there effort in to it. They have no experience vs a modern milltarry. In any Case MEND was handled and BH is not a true military threat.

bifar was not a modern nation vs nation war. Yes the rebels had a few heavy weapons and even a token air force, but the government had a far larger stronger force. Sort of like DRC v M23 only nigeria is not a incompted nation who train rapists instead of solders.

There is no weapon that nigeria has that is better than any thing in SA hands and most modern advance nigerian weapons are in small numbers. The vast majority is obsolete and/or old (not all ways the same thing) only in gunboats do i see nigeria being in the lead. But SA has no need or use of a gun boat.

nigeria missile tech is still in the fetus era and has a long way to go. Any case the SANDF see,s no use for long rand surface to surface. surface to air is our focus now.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 5:28pm On May 12, 2013
all4naija: The day Nigeria will catch SA red-handed oppressing any smaller African nation the day it will know what the undefeated defender(Nigerian military) is capable of.
Why do you assume we would do that. We only go where we are asked to go. Unlike nigeria in cameroon.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 5:27pm On May 12, 2013
all4naija: No! You don't get it. It is what is accepted to be your independence day. Not only because you celebrated that day but because that is what the world accepted it to be. PERIOD!

No logic is need in this case.
show us where people see that has our independence day. it is frredoms day, and is seen as the day SA became a true democracy. The white NP government was recognized has the legit government all the years beforehand by the international community.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 5:22pm On May 12, 2013
all4naija: From the white rule. It is clear in what I posted before. Independence from white minority rule in 1994, which is the recognized independence by the world and the celebrated one in SA, my friend.
freedom you silly little man freedom. We whites are still south african and many whites a high level memebers of the triaparthied alliance.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 5:18pm On May 12, 2013
all4naija: Another shameless, defeated and unrepentant argument you are alluding to here.

No! It is not! South Africa's independence is 27th April 1994 and it is observed on that day.
no it is not, we celebrate freedom day, not indepence day

Freedom Day is a South African public holiday celebrated on 27 April. It celebrates freedom and commemorates the first post-apartheid elections held on that day in 1994.[1] They were the first national elections in South Africa in which the franchise did not depend upon race.

all4naija: @ andrewza

Onto the military argument. The battle line must be drawn around modern conflicts both nations military have been involved with and their records. That I can attest to with evidences Nigeria has better records than SA.

Let the argument begin, man.
What better reccords? Please explian this cliam.

Although the Union of South Africa was not among the Dominions that needed to adopt the Statute of Westminster for it to take effect, two laws—the Status of the Union Act, 1934, and the Royal Executive Functions and Seals Act of 1934—were passed to confirm South Africa's status as a sovereign state.[8]

all4naija: You must be silly to think that is how SA independence looks like. Dude, get on and make use of Google. You are fooling yourself here. It i absolutely clear you don't know anything about South African history.

Stop fooling yourself. Even South Africans themselves will not support you in this very idea of your independence. It is wrong and absurd.
What you going on about. Sa became republic in 1961 and has stayed RSA since then. Only you seem to think diffrently.

Technacaly SA was in charge of it's forghin afairs long before ww2 even.

Capnd143: go get a life bro! In a WAR BETWEEN nigeria and SA, though i must confess SA have a bit more advanced weaponry than we do, but surely nigeria army will outpower them given its operational capability, weaponry, training and experience! Do you expect a soldier that has been staying inactively in barracks for decades with only training simulations to defeat war hardened battalions of men who have been actively involved in COIN operations(anti boko haram forces), Marine warfare(anti camerounian gendames forces in bakassi), Naval battle(anti militancy in niger delta), Piracy war(anti piracy troops in gulf of guinea)etc as well as somalian, seria leonian, liberian, sudanese war veterans ?
Get a life bro!
--
the funniest part is we are here busy talking of war when the two countries are making more economic, military and political alliances everyday! LOL
what opersnatiol caperbielty dose nigeria have over SA

most of Nigerias armend forces wepaonry is either no better than SA (and are not in highnumbers(BTR3)) or out classed and in some cases outdated.

how do you assume Nigerias army is better trained. and i have point out that the experiance thing is rubish.

SA forces are not siting in barraks doing nothing. far from it the SANDF is over streched. Up to 3000 deployed over seas for peace keeping/peacmaking and and anti piracy. there all so border patrol and internal operstions. All so COIN war will not prepair you for a high tech convstionl enemy. Can BH jam all your raidos, do they have means to fire long range presion guided wepaons, do they have AFV, extra.

and you have not done well in anti piracy. West africa has a steady increase well the east coast is slowly getting safer.

i have no thought that Nigeria and SA will not go to war with each other.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 2:49am On May 12, 2013
all4naija: Hahaha... That was independence for white South Africans. It is clear you don't know anything about your own country history. The freedom came as at 1991 and your country was recognized as independent nation by 1994 when Apartheid end. How can you refer to your country independence when Apartheid began? You must be terribly poor in your acclaimed flied.

Go and educate yourself first before coming here to write sh*t. Jeez! You really fooled yourself with this very comment that is highly questionable.
Again with this white black thing.

For how many years was nigeria a milltary dictatship where no one had the vote. I mean nigerians and other africans go on about whites in SA more than south africans.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 2:45am On May 12, 2013
all4naija: WWII? Where were the Germans fought? State categorically the weapons used and how your country got involved. That is a small topic for you to write your thesis on . What about the Ethiopian war?
Nambia was captured from germany in WW1 not ww2.

In ww2 we foght italyians in east africa, italians and germans in in north africa and germins in italy.

all4naija: Are you still talking 'bout those soldiers who were decimated by child rebels in CAR? I can not seem to see your argument from this your WWI angle.
that shows you don't under stand decimated. 14 SA solders died. Not 24

And once proof that the majoraty wher child solders. Since most reports put them at the minorty.

Typical nigerian. Distoted infomastion or give misinfomastion. Next you going to out right lie.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 10:16pm On May 11, 2013
all4naija: Hahaha... SA fought Germans with Zulu sticks, spears, clubs and stones. RTFLMAO! Can you point to when those happened? In the year your great grandfathers were not born. Hehehe... Keep fighting with your spears, clubs and stones as we have seen in Marakina incidence that lead to the death of 33 people. What a barbaric way to go.

Now, your military are using the same sticks, clubs and stone tactics to fight in CAR and we have seen what the consequences become of them.

grin grin grin grin grin cool cool cool lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed
What? SA fought germany during WW1. Not with spears but rifels even arcraft.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 7:13pm On May 11, 2013
all4naija: The evidence that makes it impossible is not strong enough to over-shadow national pride. The government can bribe the families of those not counted among the dead SA soldiers to shut their mouths up for the sake of shaming the nation military. We know South Africans are very sentimentally patriotic in nature. That I suspect is the right evidence to this shady incidence involving your soldiers in CAR.
you know just how many people revive that information, many who are anti government. It is impossible and only a fool will believe other wise
