CAMEROONPRIDE: you are an Idiat , sorry but what is your point in the comment above? like i said Botswana consider you as arrogant and boastful, and if they can go without you they will do so....and you confirm what i said, they don'tlike and only work with u because you are neighbors.
They still work with us. Same has UK works with USA.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 9:44am On May 10, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: i see you are new here, wellthis part has already been discussed SA influence is in east and south Africa.....the only SA company i know is MTN and it is ranked third in term of telcommunication , i don't know and watch any SA channels ..WEST AF and CENTRAL Africa are not influenced by SA by any way....Nigerians is the only one which patronizes some of their products..others don't care that much and have more west influence than any African influence
Just because MTN is the only compony you know dose not mean there are not more.

Cameroon operats a number of Impale trainer/ light attack air craft. SA provids cameroon with spares, amuunstion and even a few of them. Non of the companys envoled would be in the public.

There are over 100 sa companys in nigeria who servis the western african region. This number will grow since nigeria and SA agreements. SA is the largest african invester in africa.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 9:39am On May 10, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: you have poor reading and comprehnsion skills , i'm talking about distance ..RWanda is closer to SA than to NIgeria or any west African Nation ..
i know more than you in geopo..
and you repeat what have i said in my frist reply to syndergp ...these countrie might b considered central African but their ties and relations are with South Afican and est African nation ..so take your time ,before replying
Yet it would be phyiscaly easyer to trade with nigeria. There ties are not with SA or SADC.

Rwanada is not in the SA or SADC sphere.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 9:35am On May 10, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: i have a kenyan and Botswan and uganda classmates.

also i read a lot of stuffs, Botswan actually is tired to b a second to SA , they don't like their arrogance etc ..Tanzania , i don't know but i guessed it is the same .....the relation are friendly on the surface that doesn't mean there is no competition and trust me if Botswana has the opportunity to have an advantage on SA in termof military hardware or software ,they won't hesitate
UK and USA are close freinds. Yet english people don't like america or americans. So haveing class mates means nothing. If SA wishes they could shut botswana down. They need us.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 9:31am On May 10, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: you are talking rubbish , a base is a physical structure and there is none in Niger or CAR ...i suspect they come from Egypt , Djibouti or SUdan.
Nope they have a drones opertaded from niger.

The us SF forces are in car along side uganda.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 9:29am On May 10, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: Rwanda is closer to SA and your SADC friends than NIgeria, that means they are a treat to u ..and since you worry so much about US-Africom , you should intervene and kick american out, smh talk about delusions of grandeur
That shows you have a poor knowlege of geo polltics.

SA has close ties with the DRC. Rwanda has close ties with M23. You still think rwanda has close ties with SA.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 9:19am On May 10, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: stop lying which drone base? there are drones flying around but not a base ...and it is only in Niger
Where do you think they come from. They oporate drones from a base in niger.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 8:43am On May 10, 2013
Mbuisi: How sure are you that Tanzania and Botswana do not like SA? For as far as I know Kenya, Botswana, SA and Tanzania have a good relation. Infact, there are more Batswana speaking people in SA and we all regard ourselves as bantu people.
Caameroonpride dose not know much about all the defense and econmic deals of SADC. Tanzania has joined us in the DRC intervension brigade and there genrial is over all in charg. Our ships patrol there waters.

Has for botswana. Many of there solders get advance traing in SA.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 8:29am On May 10, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: you are a tool , US are deep in Rwanda and you think they will have any difficulty to go more down south? huh huh, don't try to bite more you can chew , if the us are not in Botswana , i mean don't have a permanent base that's because they don't want , should i tell you that Tanzanian and Botswana don't like you? do the math ..and stop blowing your own trumpet ..there is no way you can threaten the US army or even dictate something to them
Rawanda is not a freind of SA.

You sure USA dose not want a southern base.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 8:26am On May 10, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: since we are talking about base , can you name one American base in west or Central Africa?

you pulled stuffs out of your azz that's all if there is a region to b worried about US-Africom it's definitively Southern Africa.

as for reading a map there is nothing you can teach me, so don't even go there ..politically and economically my country is classified as a central African country(tho not by all) but when looking @ a map we are more a west Af country than a central henc the term West Central African country(Cameroon), same things apply to most Coutries in "Central" Africa , the like of Uganda , Angola, RDC are or might be considered as central African countries on the map but they interact more with "South" African countries and "east" African countries.

you should also note that these classifications depend of where you are located to every Western African i met i'm a west African i even have a discussion about it in class....

As for being member of the SADC your arguments don't hold water ..they(Uganda, Rwanda, etc) are not members of the Cemac therefore can't be considered as central African right? you see how dumb you sound?

Anyway like i said you are the one who should worry about Africom .

so my friend go open an encyclopedia and read the Map of Africa

sithwell: US marine light arms on display in Austin. Most of the guys, who were barely out of their teens, really knew their weapons. You could ask them about any weapon; and they would scream out the specs.
South african MGL in that pic. Very popular with the USMC these days.

On 30 April 2013 members of the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) who were conducting standing patrolling duties at Poppalin Ranch next to Malala Drift on Zimbabwe and RSA border, saw a suspicious group of people carrying boxes.

At seeing the soldiers they decided to run away. After warning shot fired, a box of cigarettes was dropped off and one of the suspects was arrested. The suspect, who was in possession of R13 780,00, tried in vain to bribe SANDF member offering him R13 000, 00 for his freedom.

The SANDF confiscated 1700 cartons of cigarettes to the value of R219 300.00. Each carton contains 10 packets of cigarettes. The suspect from Zimbabwe was handed over to the Musina South African Police Service (SAPS).

all4naija: A resounding rounds of applause for this your comment. Some biased South Africans wouldn't see beyond their nose, like Paniki is trying to point out the accident must have happened due to incompetence of the pilots. Which nobody knows yet until further investigation is carried out to prove what the likely causes might be. You prove with this your comment to be very objective and as knowledgeable individual in addressing complicated issue as such.

Thank you for this comment, dude.
I prever to wait for all the facts to come out and every body to have there say before haveing a opion.

Though there have been 2 crashes non where the same aircraft.

Though I suspect human era in the alpha jet. Where they not just modernized.

Has for the helicopter. We don't even know the make or any detail.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 6:42pm On May 09, 2013
paniki: The Nigerian Air Force has been crashing in recent days. Is this incompetence normal or is it equipment malfunction? And the bit about the US Air Force is obvious dude.
I have not heard of any higer than averiage crashe rate in nigeria. Last air force crash in south Africa was a SAAF A109 in kruger park.

Cause unkown. Pilot era due to nigh condistion or mechnical fauler are the 2 lickly problems.

Sa has had 4 A109 crashes. 1 pilot era 2 disghine faults 1 under invisgastion.

Of the 4 2 where fatal and 2 crash landings with no injuries.

Personaly I don't like the A109 I prever the BK111. But the 109 is suposed to be more verstial.

CAMEROONPRIDE: CAR is not a west Af country, that wasn't even the point, the point is instead of pointing fingers , he should clean his own yard, because American are in uganda , Tanzania,Botswana,Angola and are there to
stay ..why is almighty SA is not doing anything?

BTW , I don't think what u said about CAR is true or maybe they are very recent.
They are?

America sends traing teams. They have no asserts in SADC. And will not Unlike west and east africa.

It been a ongoing proceses for some time. US SF teams where helping ugandar hunting LRA in CAR. Strang you did not know.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 6:18pm On May 09, 2013
solomon111: what crash history?
The united states airforce have had far more crashes than Nigeria.
What's your point?
The USA flys far more hours and has far more aircraft than nigeria. So that a foolish point.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 6:16pm On May 09, 2013
CAMEROONPRIDE: ^^Look a@ who is talking about US- Africom

Uganda, Botswana, have more American soldiers and consultants than any West African country and they are close to u yet you did/do nothing about that lol..
There are no permany us forces in botswans.

USA forces are not just helping uganda but a number of countrys fight the LRA. Most of the US forces are actully in CAR.

souldust: the 32bn dollar you pointed out is the FG's budget. States and LGs have theirs as well.

Lagos without oil spends 3bn dollar as annual budget. Yes, they recieve some money from the FG, but they make a large part of their money them selves.

Our dependence on oil, though still high, is droping as the year goes by. We have excess crude acount. Our budget is based on oil benchmark that just turned 78 dpb from 75dpb. Oil prices have always been above our bench mark.
And each province in SA has a budget. So your point is.

agaugust: this is the post that will finally rubbish your navy rank and uniform which you got only because you are favoured as a white south African for military recruitment

my war tactics defeated your own. you are NOT a combatant soldier or you were fraudulently helped to pass military academy exams so that you can be recruited to fill up quota space allocated for whites in south African navy.

Look at the rubbish response you wrote, my post was too technical for your brain to understand.

even your south African navy chief of staff admiral cannot defeat my counter attack strategy.

Sure your rank is like a seargent/seaman/rating and you cannot plan a real war, all you can do is copy and paste south African weapons photographs on nairaland.

South Africans are really poor in the art of war fighting and real life combat, no wonder Seleka teenage kid soldiers defeated your army in CAR, you don't know the art of real war.

South African combat tactics are so poor, so bad. I won't reply your points in detail yet. I will wait for @Henry to post comment, and any other person who has real intelligence.

@andrewza, you lost the naval battle !

south african navy vs nigerian army....naval blockade battle

nigerian territorial waters is 22km boat sail on the atlantic ocean from its coast/shore, e.g bar beach lagos

assumptions :

south africa will use all is 4 valour stealth frigate warships for maximum effect

international community will not attack south african navy ships for blocking world shipping business, especially USA, China, India who have paid in

advance for weekly oil shipments

nigeria will not use any of its 12 new AS55O Fennec armed naval helicopters from france on order for ASW

nigeria will not use any of its 4 new stealth missile frigates on order from china and india for ASW

nigeria will not use any of its 6 israeli sea drone USV for tracking and targeting

nigeria will not use the potential anti-submarine capability of its two ATR-42 maritme patrol aircraft, within the first 2 months of the naval

blockade by acquiring the ASW hardware on the ATR-72 as both aircraft are actually the same configuration

simulation :

south african navy sails 4 valour stealth frigates into nigerian 22km territorial waters for naval blockade of oil export

nigeria continues to export gas through the west african pipeline with no disturbance

nigerian navy withdraws all boats to inshore creeks and all ships to harbour

nigerian builds a shield of empty old fishing trawlers, barges, and ships to block all navy bases and harbours from south african navy exocet anti-

ship missiles and as decoy to confuse type 209 submarines

nigerian navy ships and boats are safe in harbour and creeks behind this camoflague/decoy vessels shield

nigerian airforce jet fighters do not fly while the south african ships are around, all stay at the airport on ground, but alert.

nigerian air force flies ATR-42 surveyors at 30km away from south african ships anti-aircraft umkhonto missiles. the two planes regularly do sorties

and relay exact position and photos of the enemy ships to nigerian army

nigerian satellites in space constantly monitors 24hrs, relaying photos and GPS co-ordinates to nigerian army

nigeria army at night moves 675 towed artillery guns D-30, OTO Melara Mod 56, and Yugoslav M-56-2 to target each south african warships ratio

170:1

nigerian army at night moves 100 heavy mobile artillery archer, palmaria, and bofors to target each south african warship ratio 25:1

nigerian army at night uses 675 towed artillery guns to fire shells within range 5k to 22km showering 4,000 shell in one minute on the 4 south

african warships in ratio 1,000:1

nigerian air force ATR-42 surveyors and nigerian space satellites all co-ordinate artillery fire accuracy re-directing for the nigerian army as the

south african navy moves to escape the heavy shelling

south african warships if very very lucky to survive the first round of nigerian army artillery bombardment, begin to withdraw/retreat from nigerian

waters and the naval blockade fails

south african 4 warships will likely have been destroyed and sunk in the 4,000 shells per minute artillery heavy gun fire of the nigerian army

nigerian army may not bother to use its best artillery guns, the 100 mobile archer and palmaria 155mm heavy artillery, unless the south african

ships anchored at distance 30km to 40km away from nigerian coastline, that distance makes a naval blockade very ineffective as other nations

shipping movement will be within that radius too.

south african navy warships are destroyed/sunk or withdraws, oil exports resume with nigerian flat bottom vessels and barges along the shallow

coastline to ships and ports linked to the west african coast pipeline
the south african submarine threat is countered by two lines of barges side by side, one empty as shield, one full with oil. the shallow depth routes

along the coast is used to prevent south african submarines which will avoid the unkown shallow waters to avoid accidental running aground and

damage that can cripple the submarine or force it to surface and become easy targets for nigerian
air force 10 alpha jets maritime combat versions guided by 20 augusta helicopter patrols, and 6 G-222 maritime aircraft patrols.

south african submarines will withdraw back home with the valour frigates, or stay the limit of their 50 days endurance, fuel runs low, and nigeria

may purchase ASW hardware for its ready configured ATR-42 surveyor maritime patrol aircraft and hunt/kill the south african submarines or fly

escort oil export convoys/fleets out of nigerianwaters into international waters

south african navy blockade of nigerian waters fail, and likely destroys south africa's best warships the valour class frigates, thus exposing south

african nation to a counter attack by nigerian navy NNS Thunder and the 4 new stealth light frigates on order if they have been delivered by then

this is how nigerian army will defeat south african navy.

nigerian army will equally defeat south african airforce. i will make that the next post for the coming week.
This is a very poorly writen source.

Firsly SA would not send in all 4 valours. At most 3 more likly 2 and 1 sub with drankenberg in support.

SAN would load the 16 spare VLC with umkontoi 32 SAM's

If the NN dose not want to play SAN riads the off shore and costal gas/oil faclties and pipe lines.

It would take one masive feet of logistics to move every nigerian gun to the coast. And it is doubt full they would all be 100%.

In order to find the frigate radar will be needed. This will give advance warning. SAN dose not need to close in to the coase to blockade. You own acstion did that all for me. You buttoned up giving the lone SSK all the rome in the world to find and destroy targets. Nigeria has no ari born ASW wepaon so can operate with out threat. If any NN comes out it will be found and destryed.

Nigeria dose not have the means to stope the blocked. Your plan will only aid SAN and bankrupt nigeria. In a sense you would be helping us.

Try again.

you turned yourself into a man that cannot be respected for honesty, and you find that funny ?

did you complete school or you dropped out @andrewza?
I am getting tired of haveing to repost the links all the time.

Some where in that thread are the links. 100 million people in poverty. Wow

You are the one who should be asked if he finished school.

You cherry pick data and use them only in contectes of your choice. Basically missleading. You fail to look or perhapse under stand the big picture.

Here is somthing for you to chew on. Nigeria need to have a econmy 3 times greater than South Africa to be on the same level of south africa. Currently you smaller.

Nigeria economy will depend on oil for some time to come. Your elical out put and proposed futer output is not large enough for industilastion.

Agriculter is the bigest GDP coutributor in nigeria. But when you consider 90% of the working populastion is in the agriculter industry it a for gone conlustion. Actually it shows that agriculter contributs a very small amount.

The budget nigeria is far smaller than south africa. But SA has 1/3 nigerias populastion. SA spending per head in masive compared to nigeria.

Basically only a fool belives what you say.

That is why Mugabe is my hero till tomorrow. What is the problem that nigerian have with whites.

HIV/AIDS levels are in a steady decrease where in nigeria it is steadly increasing.

all4naija: I agree with AndrewZa on the advancement of SA economy in many ways compared to Nigerian economy. I also agree that Nigeria needs to do more and develop the economy because Nigerian economy is far below in advancement when compared to the SA.

However, to stay on topic, the Nigerian military has a lot to offer in the area of combatant than SA. We have the manpower and the capacity to utilize it when the need arises. Mind you, this is the very intimidating African military power the whole continent can be proud of including SA.

If I am to choose based on the ability, capacity and experience of soldiers coming out of Africa, I would quickly choose first from Nigeria and Egypt before taking few from SA just to complement the representation of the different regions of the continent. If not, SA military will be among those at the bottom of the list.
Economy and milltary stregth are strongly linked.

You can have 3 million strong army. You need logistics to handel it all.

Nigeria dose not have any current milltary experiance above SA
