all4naija: Lol. The truth is that most technology in that nation is foreign owned, The Marader production company which was founded Ivor Ichikowitz, he is a Lithuanian. The Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen, Siemens,Oracle,ICT and computer hardware productions are Germans, Americans and other Europeans, Square Kilometre Array (SKA) is Russian, just to mentioned a few. It is still the same thing that can be said of Nigerian technology,it is Nigerians who are also working in those companies producing the hardware.

You made claim that the APCs were built by the British forgetting that Nigerians were mainly involved in the building of those hardware. Nigerians were involved in the building of all the Satellites launched by Nigeria so far. Even some of these Satellite dwarf SA's.
Show me where Ivor Ichikowitz is not south african. Show me where his company is not south african and show mw where people that work in his company are not south african.

SKA is not russian. And will be built and run by south africans.

Nigeria did not build the saterlight.

I never mentioned any APC of nigeria was built by forghniers. I said they could not compiet with SA AFV.

Stop being foolish. You have habit of it.

SA I deploying a force to the DRC intervstion brigade. A number of gripens and rooivalk have been deployed.

Estermts on the cost of deploying is 370 million rand close to 40 million USD. Thoughts are that up to 1000 SA solders will deploy along with 2 to 3 thousand solders from other countries. So far only SA has posttioned force in or close to the AO.

Capnd143: now this forced me to comment! Dont you know that the political and citizenry affliates of the sect are pressuring the govt to withdraw The Jtf troops which has so far been fruitless? So to achieve their goal, whenever there is a military raid, the claim civilians life were lost and that those killed are civilians, but funny thing is whether civilians always go around with IEDs and Ak's, and whether civilians always return fire with troops whenever their hideouts are raided by troops.[/b]
There is vedioe evdince on youtube of our Nigerian solders treat civlians.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 2:11pm On Apr 08, 2013
all4naija: The car industry, military hardware, etc are heavily foreign owned and operated by them.
Lol. You are ignorant. All the people in those industies in SA are south african. BAE OMC land sytem was all was a SA company, BAE just bought out majoraty shares. The company is still south african. Same has all our other companys.

all4naija: Above that so called baby T-craft we have the largest combatant troupes in Africa. It can be very intimidating to any other country in Africa when it comes to prowess and strength. So, leave outside the T-craft thing and let talk about the combatant strength and you will find out that there is none in Africa that can challenge Nigerian Army in that capacity maybe Egypt.

It is very clear on the CIA Fact file that the Nigerian military manpower is well above the total population of South Africa. If Nigeria is to descend on SA, for example, the military number is well above what is required to decimate the entire population of your country(if we are to recruit to achieve that). There is no need of trying to argue about the Nigerian military manpower when comparing it to SA approximately 15 million meagre manpower.
sa can use it's force better, we did the same thing in angola.

all4naija: They were done for the purpose of transfer-of-technology. I think Nigerians will be able to achieve such fit in few years to come on their own. The same can be said of SA technology that relies heavily on foreigners.
What SA tech relies heavly on foreigners.

Henry120: Let's also see how points deduction goes for SANDF, from getting whooped by farmers in CAR, to getting disarmed by a ragtag group and apparent show of cowardice and incompetence

Whooped by a farmer army= 20 points
Incompetence= 10 points
Dis armed by a farmer army= 20 points
Farmer army member cruising SA trucks=10 points
Loud mouthed and retracting = 10 points
Ill equipped to carry out your mission= 10 points
Cowardice= 10 points

90 points in total
There where not farm boys. Most where hardend rebels from chad. Seleka has not even deinded this.

We killed 50X our losses.

Has I mentioned before and was latter convirmend. 1 billion rand of hardware was gifted to CAR. Including SANDF vechiles.

Who retracted. And Nigerians are knowen for being loudmouthed.

Inccorted. We where equpied for our mission. Our mission was not to fight the rebels.

Funny how you see killing 50X your losses and being the only force to hold ground has sighn of a coward

GeneralJ: The funny thing is Nigeria is actually catching up technolgy-wise, we are getting our own satellties building our own APCs next thing is our R & D has come up with designs for MBTs and Jets and is putting them into full scale production e.t.c man i just can't wait for those days
Your APCs are nothing speciol and I thought the brits constructed your saterrlight

You never botherd with my second point.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 8:11am On Apr 07, 2013
GeneralJ: Have you in anytime in history faced a situation whereby a whole Region of your country is in danger of terrorist attacks due to the fact that some inhabitants and also politicians mainly from this partiuclar region are funding the terrorists group?
1970s till 1994. They all so received open suport from other countries.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 8:04am On Apr 07, 2013
sheyie2007: I saw this coming hahaha. I admire your confidence bro... I don't pray you experience terrorism in SA grin
Pagad, boermag, ANC and other liberstion groups during the struggel.

Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 7:57am On Apr 07, 2013
MajorJ: I was wrong there was 36 dead soldiers, now i feel sorry for you guys,http://www.france24.com/en/20130404-south-africa-deaths-central-african-republic-mining-oil-anc
you claimed that you were there to train and build the capacity of the CAR army but when you guys came under threats from Seleka you brought in soldiers to protect your equipment and bases..but what other sources do say is that the soldiers where actually there to protect south african interests in CAR.. http://www.france24.com/en/20130404-south-africa-deaths-central-african-republic-mining-oil-anc
The 36 death claim was mentioned and diproven all ready. In short. We lost 13 only fools bielfe any thing more.

A source that belife we lost more than 13 solders can not be trusted.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 7:53am On Apr 07, 2013
sheyie2007: firstly due to the thickness of some peoples skull, to the best of my knowledge, he never referred to anyone. secondly, since you know too much about "how raids are being conducted and executed", why not tell SANDF to give a helping hand.. Just curious bro wink
In SA that would have been a poliece operstion done by task force. Army SF may have helped but only to bolster numbers. Airforce would have provided helicopters ant other deffense force help would have been just in support.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 7:48am On Apr 07, 2013
MajorJ: Maybe in terms of Armor, Kit and technology you are the best, but definetly not in terms of training, that's something i'm not going to argue on, because its plain and clear
265 v 3000. We did not get over run or routed and infleted 50X the losses on the enemy. And you doubt there training.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 7:33am On Apr 07, 2013
MajorJ: I never said you protected the palace, what i meant was, your job was to prevent the Terrorists from advancing, but they managed to go all the way to a key i.e the Presidential palace and i never said anything about a breached base
That was all so not our job. We where there to train and intergrated the CAR army. We never went in has force to stop seleka.

That was the job of the regional force. Who ran away.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 7:29am On Apr 07, 2013
MajorJ: When the Police drags citizens on the back of their cars on asphalt streets it means you should leave that country..see even american cities/counties paint their cars black ohh i guess that means americans should leave the U.S right?
. FBI has power of arrest but they not policse.

And those cops where arrested.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 7:27am On Apr 07, 2013
sheyie2007: the best huh
Yes. And I have been saying it from the start.

SANDF have the best trained milltary. We spend more money on traing than any other country in africa. Man for man we are the best.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 7:22am On Apr 07, 2013
MajorJ: Its meant for the Police dirty shit
When the police paint there cars black it means you should leve that country.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 7:17am On Apr 07, 2013
homerac7: The above canceled and bolded show high ignorance of reality of war on terror. I think you should stick to your SANDF photo parade which I have been enjoying, this attempt to do an arm-chair strategic analyst of Nigerian local war on terror is discrediting your efforts. Your military has never fought terrorism, so you will never know what it is like until you come face-to-face with it. It is never by the books; hope you guys learnt anything from this SELEKA trumping, did you? undecided undecided undecided

...and you too, look before you leap. stop aping. You have followed your friend into a field you know next to nothing about. You have never been close to Nigeria Military and suddenly you delve into issues of command? This is preposterous sir. Before you go ahead, if you know so much about your own military, then I think you need to consult with some of your men who have been exposed to the Nigerian Military and seek advice.

at all, I have been enjoying the debates here along with the banters. But I think people should be more honest with their claims.
The battel in CAR proved that SANDF solders are the best in africa. 265 held of 3000 enemy solders loosing 13 and suvering 27 wounded and killing between 400 to 600 rebels.

Nigeria dose have comand and control problems. But most african armies have C2 problems.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by andrewza: 7:13am On Apr 07, 2013
MajorJ: The President fled like a week ago, why didn't you pull out right after he fled, and it took you 13 dead soldiers to pull out, and infact you guys didn't even do your job, the rebels were able to gain access to the presidential palace, maybe if you were actually capable, and were all about that action instead of all about that talk and paper, maybe you guys would actually gained some reputation and earned some stripes for your first peace keeping op..
We pulled out after talkes with the regional block. Though the proccess staterd sooner. And we never protected the palace. Our base was never breached.

Again knowlege is power.

weblink source : http://beegeagle./tag/nigerian-army-amphibious-forces/

X38 COMBAT & PATROL CAT

The Combat Cat is a revolutionary stepped-hull high-speed power catamaran design, configured for military, patrol or SAR use. It offers superior sea-keeping, efficiency, speed and safety in all operating conditions.

The Combat Cat is designed to offer multiple mission profile capabilities with speeds of up to 40 knots per hour, using twin outboards. It is ideally suited for rapid response, amphibious deployment of commandos or regular patrol work.

Offering significantly less cost and risk than other high-value patrol or combat assets it can provide covert striking power against critical targets, as well as protecting inshore and offshore resources and assets.

It can be equipped with enhanced features for special warfare operations, or used for reconnaissance, surveillance, law enforcement, counter-piracy, medical evacuation and rescue operations.

This cutting-edge exclusive design incorporates stealth characteristics to minimise radar detection in hostile operating conditions. The Combat boat will have a crew of 4 and is capable of carrying an additional 10-12 fully equipped troops.

The foredeck area has a sunken gun-well, suited for installation of a forward/side facing main gun-point, for M240 7.62 calibre, M-60, 7.62mm, 12.7 mm or 40mm grenade launchers.

Two large deck hatches and a folding ladder ensure fast and direct access forward, for amphibious assaults and beach landings. The cabin accommodates a Captain/Navigator, helmsman, engineer and gunner, while troops are accommodated in restrained transport seats in the hulls. The stern area of the boat has space for 2 side / rear facing light machine guns and an aft deck in the centre suitable for boarding, or for diving and recovery operations.
They look like babby T-craft.

sithwell: If people don't want AIDS spoken about here, they should speak about AIDS. It's as simple as that. Let's move on my people. Actually, it doesn't even matter who started it. We know what to do.

Happy Saturday :-)
AIDS is irreverent in this topic. SANDF has one of lowest rate of AIDS in African militarizes, about 8% have aids and non in a front line combat roll. SANDF dose not deploy any force over seas with AIDS.

By the way Zimbabwe has a 55% infection rate in it's military according to one report on SADC millilitres.
