NaijaPikinGidi: Well known by you alone!Post a link where your solds conduct a combat oprastion in mali. |
NaijaPikinGidi: Nigeria did not take part in any fighting because you were also in their AOR? Please find something better to do or say!It well knowen nigeria never fought any battel in mali. |
NaijaPikinGidi: AndrewZA thinks the Nigeria led AFISMA operation did not yield anything because according to him Northern Mali is not safe. According to him the so-called Tuareg seperatist are still alive and strong. My question to him was:The Tuareg separatists where not the target of the french, chandian and mali forces. Nigeria did not take part in any fighting. The Tuareg separatists actualy fought the islamic insurgents. So yes the Tuareg separatists forces are very much alive and strong. |
agaugust: The whole world is not safe, people get shot in cape town too.Yes but most countries in the world have Full control of all land. Aka there are not places that the goverment can not go. There milltary is the singel most power full force in the land. In mali the Tuareg separatists milltary strength is strong enough to go toe to toe with the mali army. That is why peace keepers are need. There is only a low risk of them breaking the peace treaty due to the fact the peace keepers are there. |
NaijaPikinGidi: Only a fool will not understand the meaning of the word "routine" in military terms! That's why this thread cannot be a playground for wanton childishness! They'd like to be as swift and as clinical as Nigeria ... but fail to understand that it comes with years of real-life tactical combat experience. AndrewZA and his cohorts will wish that Mali would explode again ... Sadly we knew better to dislodge and neutralize the core nodes of the rebel setup in Mali. Unfortunately your SANDF troops are scared of stepping into the waiting quagmire of the M23 Goma Jungles. #death by green design! The Tuareg separatists who are in the north are still alive and strong. There is a peace treaty much like there is in southern sudan. But fast areas of mali are not under Tuareg or goverment control. The country is far from save. |
2smooth2shout: and whats the source? South africans on this thread? SureThe sources where posted has they took place. So go look. I don't realy care if a foold does not belive the truth. |
agaugust: the tiny Seleka kids in CAR defeated a DENEL equipped south african army. do i need to post photos ?You have to make up your mind. Either they tiny kids or heavly armemed rebels. By the way chad uses child solders and they out perfomed you in malil. |
2smooth2shout: you didn't read the news you posted. SANDF is not MONUSCO. They are not part of the offensive. Before this weekend SANDF forces in DRC were in 2 fire fights. One where they killed a rebel comander. This weekend they shelled M23 postions with mortas and cleard a root for the DRC army. We how ever are not on the front line no MONUSCO solders are. Only the DRC. So please sit down and shut up. |
NaijaPikinGidi: It surely hurts us to see them shrink from their offensive UN mandate with all the supposed "firepower" and "expertise" that SANDF continues to boast of. They are wasting time, being idle and earning no war success reputation for themselves. So when they cleard the root for the DRC army that was what. |
agaugust: nigerian army fought over 100,000 rebels about 4,000km away from home in liberia/sierra leone. You mean kids that wore life jacks for body armour? Or unarmend children you excuted. Ok you did that. |
agaugust: Seleka over-ran your SANDF base and now play with your army uniforms and vehicles, or did you give then as friendship souvenirs ?No they never over ran the base. This has been point out to you a long time ago. |
agaugust: post source of how many battles were fought in mali this month and how many casualties. show us !Low tempo has in no battels. |
agaugust: all white pilots who emigrated from europe, and did not fly or fight alone. britain and holland moved their own air forces aircrafts and pilots to south african territory to lead the south african air force in combat. i posted that with source yesterday i wont repeat that story. What does skin color have to do with it. And what about SA who sent fighter pilots to north africa and italy. Were they there to take charge? Your logic not mine. |
agaugust: Mali war is over. No more fighting in Mali. If you are not happy with that, you can go there and re-start the war by attacking the remaining French and Nigerian soldiers....your d.ead body won't enter the g.rave in one piece, you will be worse off than a de-horned Rhino.War in malil is far from over. The styl of war has changed. From a high tempo to a low tempo. Thaere are still armend facstions just knowen that can threaten the goverment. |
NaijaPikinGidi: And Nigeria still has a sizable number of technical, medical and infantry personnel in Mali. We pulled out troops that could also be deployed internally having enforced the peace in Mali. What's your point? You pulled out all your combat forces. From all your UN missions. France has a recastion force in malil that is there for one purpose. Attack any force that threatns the UN |
And to add the SAAF is one of the oldest airforce in the world that means when WW2 started we had already seasoned pilots
I would not say seasoned. Our pre war air force was small. But the command structer was there. |
agaugust: a standard machine gun post has 2 to 4 soldiers. it does not need more than 2 men to operate a GPMG, one man can even do it.Who said there was only one MG, who said there where not other solders in the area, what about a radio opertor to receive instrucstions for the MG team. This info is not kown. It could have been 1 guy in a foxhole with a PKM or a trench sytem with mutpil over lapping 14.5mm HMGs. So unless you where there I would not speak. If selka can destor a MG post why did they not over run our base. We only had 4 12.7mm HMGs |
NaijaPikinGidi: You cannot provide combat details and casualty for this recent incident in DRC, yet you can tell the world white lies about killing 800 SELEKA fighters in a lost battle in which your base was overrun. That you used the word probably means you are so clueless. O di egwu ooo!How long did it take for details to filter out from CAR. This was a small insdent that occured friday. It has been 2 days. Both of them weekends. I use the word probaly because any more and it is a waist. For infantry to knock out a fortfied MG post you need to out range it (snippers for exampil) that would at most need just has many men has in the MG post and has low has 1. Or you out flank it and get close, a large force will attract attsion and the enemy will either withdraw or repostion the MG's to fire on the solders. Wether it was DRC or SA solders that pinded them down is not knowen but you would need a nother group for that. |
agaugust: show me a neutral source like BBC that says SANDF killed 800 seleka....Guinness Book Of World Records new combat Kill Ratio 161:1When both sides give simlare numbers it kind of well the truth. Remember that pic of a seleka solder on a gecko was taken by a SA reporter. Those same solders admited there heve losses. |
NaijaPikinGidi: Your SANDF definition of abandon can not apply to gallant NA soldiers who have enforced peace successfully in Mali that has paved the way for a very successful Presidential elections. We enforced the peace, and we are still in Mali helping the peacekeeping operations. For SANDF ... abandoned means finished! CAR is a case in point. Not one single SANDF troop is in CAR as I type a full stop.If nigeria did not enter malil the out come of the war would have still been a french, chad, malil and tureage(spelled so wrong) victory. IF SA was not in CAR the battel for bangue would have lasted a morning. SA then left CAR because the mandate became invaled has soon has bozzie left. We never abodon him he was long gone by the time we left. Hell if it was not for us seleka could have captured and/or killed him. |
agaugust: France leftFrance still has over 1000 solders in malil. They only pulled out the extra solders that had to returen to there home bases. |
agaugust: 2,000 south african soldiers boasting they defeated only 2 illiterate rebels of congo that manned a single lonely unprotected machine gun post. fools ! show me a real jungle fight you trained for under your new master/teacher BrazilRhis just shows how foolish and ignorant you are. Who said 2000 solders attacked it? It was probaly just a single squade. All so why would a machin gun post be just 2 people were is rull that say that machin gun post are all ways 2 people. Who saide it was one machine gun even. And 1300 is not 2000. |
agaugust: that one is as simple as a police vs armed robbers combat. even seleka boys can take out a single lone standing helpless machine gun postThe machin gun post was holding up the DRC army. Sa cleard it with zero cassulties. |
agaugust: hahhahahaI still want to know what this ordanary poacher is. And if had any comprinstion skill you would relize that I said (more rhinos are alive in SA this year than where last year. |
http://www.timeslive.co.za/thetimes/2013/08/26/sa-soldiers-on-offensive South African soldiers engaged in running battles with M23 rebels in the Democratic Republic of Congo overran a rebel machine gun post at the weekend, halting the rebels' advance. SAVE & SHARE 0 inShare EMAILPRINT According to Pikkie Greeff, national secretary of the SA Defence Union, the DRC troops were advancing on the M23 positions but came under heavy fire from a machine gun. "There are only two ways you can take out a machine gun post - either by sniper or with a stick of men sneaking up to the position and taking it out," said Greeff. "We do not know what they did but the South African soldiers took out the machine gun post." South African soldiers are part of the UN's Monusco brigade, which has been assigned to take on the the M23 rebels. SANDF troops, who have been subjected to mortar fire since Friday, are holding positions around Goma. "The rebels have been raining mortars on refugee camps around Goma and the UN forces have returned fire," he said. Siphiwe Dlamini, spokesman for the Department of Defence, said the South African "force has been retaliating since the shelling of their positions began". It has been reported that five civilians were killed in rebel mortar fire. One South African soldier was wounded by shrapnel from a mortar shell but Dlamini said his injuries were not serious. Monusco soldiers have joined government forces on the offensive against the rebels, Monusco spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Felix-Prosper Basse told the BBC. "Fighting has entered a new phase: Monusco is now engaging the rebels together with the government forces," Basse said. The BBC reported that two UN helicopters were involved in the latest operation, which was being backed by the Congolese army. Monusco and the Congolese army are jointly attacking rebel positions in Kibati, about 15km north of Goma. President Jacob Zuma said on Friday in parliament that 1345 SANDF troops, who form part of the 3000-strong Monusco brigade, were deployed in the DRC. The brigade also includes troops from Tanzania and Malawi. In March, 15 South African soldiers were killed and dozens wounded in clashes with the Seleka rebels in the Central African Republic. |
chris365: i see you change your war tone.. stup1d boysouth african rhino populastion is still the largest in the world (75 percent) and is not in decline even eith the poaching allmost 200 poachers have be captuerd all killed and with new laws and treats soon sa will be allowed to chase poachers accross the boader |
agaugust: south african valour frigates Umkhonto missile CANNOT hit any aircraft flying at 13km above sea level. FACT.The block to umkonto has a 15km range. And it a soft ware upgrade that improved the how it flew. Aka they have a 15 km range. And again have fun hiting anything from that hight. |
chris365: yeah right. you probably thought of how rhinos will manage to survive a desert and dry region which is what northern Nigeria is. i get it. your stup1dity was exposed again. enjoySo elphants and rhions could not live in say nambia in your opion. |
agaugust: F-7 jet is a year 2008 and 3.5 Generation jet. all those other nigerian jets have just come back from full scale modernization and upgrades costing about $150 million, and Alpha jets are newly upgraded and specially configured for maritime/sea/naval combat.Only they can hit targets 15 km high. And have fun hiting any thing from that hight. All so the umkonto is a 40G SAM with a a 5gen seeker head. Your jets are not going to survive it hell with the warhead size it does not even need to hit. A near miss will be enough. |
agaugust: "By the end of World War II, SAAF aircraft in conjunction with British and Dutch aircraft stationed in South Africa, had intercepted seventeen enemy ships, assisted in the rescue of 437 survivors of sunken ships and attacked 26 of the 36 enemy submarines that operated around the South African coast and had flown 15,000 coastal patrol sorties by August 1945."Those where european air craft flown by european pilots belonging to european airforces. And SAAF sent pilots and air craft to noth africa and italy. Remember it was a World War. There where britsh tanks given to russian units and russia even got B17 bombers. |
chris365: where does it say Nigeria had high numbers of rhinos? you haven't proved anything here.Who said high numbers. You had rhinos and now they all gone. Because you can not look after your wild live. Even the west african lion is close to joining the rhino with there being under 50. There are southern and eastern prides with more lions than all of the lions in west africa. |
chris365: are you still trying to argue the fact that their arrival was as a result of your military to stop poaching? i don't get youThay where hired by a privat game farm. Aka some guy with money to protect his property. They where in a sense privat securty gaurds. |
