I am showing Tuchel's achievements in Germany have no bearing on Poch's in England. Tottenham is a more difficult proposition than Dortmund. That is not to say Tuchel is not better, I am saying we did not have that evidence before last season. You were not on this thread when people wanted Mourinho fired, it was almost unanimous how United fans here did not want Tuchel. I know some people here (Bayern fans) tried to show United fans that Pep recommended Tuchel to replace him at Bayern but the board felt he was a little too insubordinate and opinionated for them. But the United fans would not have it.

Ranieri came from nowhere in his debut at Leicester to beat Pochettino’s Spurs to a title.

No THFC were not the best team in 15/16. On paper, it was Chelsea (they had just won the league 14/15). Pochettino’s young team lost their heads and let Leicester catch them. But so did United, City and Arsenal that finished 2nd.

No. PSG is a big problem. Even Tuchel said it. They expect you to be the Sports Prefect. Tuchel would tell Neymar he is not allowed to travel to Brazil for his sister's birthday party. Neymar will still go. When Tuchel inquires why, he will be told that Leonardo or someone from the higher ups gave Neymar the go-ahead. Tuchel said you have to cater to not just the stars but those around them. If Neymar Snr could not get a hard-on the previous night, Tuchel had to call to recommend ED medicine because if Neymar Snr is unhappy, Neymar Jnr won't play well. Managing superstars is not for everyone and it does not help when the owners enable the superstars. Come on.

The point is Tuchel won something even before going to PSG. These margins are very important.

It is easier for the 2nd best team in Germany to win the German cup than it is for Southampton to or Espanyol to win anything in England and Spain.

Took over Espanyol when they were 17th in La Liga. Took over Southampton when they were in a relegation tussle. Finished 8th with both teams which is very respectable. In fact, Southampton are yet to finish higher than 8th nor garner the same points total that Poch achieved.

I can actually make an argument that Ole is marginally better than Poch.

Every manager has failures (Aston Villa beat Klopp 7-2 just last season). So no, you cannot make an argument against Poch using Ole.

Poch like every coach has his failures. I feel some of his successes however minor are being underplayed. He does have good recruitment strategy, develops young players, plays attacking football and can manage a dressing room. He may not be on the level of the top 3 teams but he has bested both Klopp and Pep that one season in 2016-17. With United's financial muscle, who is to say he may not do better? We all call Tuchel now in the same breath as Pep and Klopp but it would have been blasphemy by this same time last season.

Certainly. But I don't think money is a motivator for Zidane. He was offered big money by RM but he still turned it down. While I agree that language should not be a big barrier (he has players that understand French, Spanish and Italian), he will have to do a lot more with the language around the club. Biesla is probably flailing because of the language issue. Besides, I am merely quoting Frank Lebouf who we know is Zidane's friend, so I am taking his opinion seriously. Perhaps Zidane will take the job if offered a short contract because he has made it clear that he wants to coach the French National team after 2022 world cup. So what year in between this will he give to United?
