Politics › Re: Winners, Losers As 32 States Get More VAT Share Than They Generate by angelfallz(m): 4:01pm On Oct 18, 2021
Lol. No state, I repeat no state has its act right. The high revenues from some states is not as a result of creative ideas from the state governors. It's just luck that the said States have natural resources that are in high demand or a commercial states.

Instead of asking that states get their acts right, we should all ask for restructuring and true federalism.

So far as there is free money to share, States including those states that have high revenue would not do anything to increase their revenues.

Restructure Nigeria!! We must start practising fiscal federalism.
Yes in the shirt term some states will feel the brunt of low revenues, but in the long run those state governors that are creative and there to serve the people would improve their revenue generation.

You guys are still arguing with that person? It is like the person was paid to argue about 50% representation. grin

bukatyne:
I am not marginalized; your sisters are not marginalized; the women on this thread are not marginalized; Ini Edo that started the rant is not marginalized....

Yet women are marginalized.

So because we do not have 50% representation of governors or presidents, women are marginalized? undecided

Do you even understand that men and women are different and want different things?

Must the quality of a woman's life be measured in relation to a man's?

Can't a woman define what a good life means to her and work for it?

Why is this not on front page?
Yesterday, An evil woman falsely accused Reno Omokri of making a pass at her without any evidence.
Reno Omokri replied her and rebutted her with evidence.

For those of you that think that women can't get up one morning and accuse you of anything, what happened to Reno Omokri yesterday can happen to you too.
Women don't need a reason to falsely accuse you of anything.

Unfortunately, due to coordinated reporting, the Facebook account where he posted his rebuttal of the woman with evidence has been suspended so the link won't work.

If you mean the exchange rate for doing transactions, I think it should be the official exchange rate.

When I said it was cheaper I meant that to get virtual cards on firstmobile app is cheaper ₦250, but on barter it is $2.

RESHARPENED:
What is the exchange rate for this?

Your sister is greedy and deceitful.

There are valid reasons why girls are given more money than their brothers in school. So don't take it as a bad bias. It was my mum that told me about these reasons.

1. Women's consumer products like body cream, weavon, making hair, fixing nails, makeup etc are generally more expensive than men's consumer products.

2. To avoid any guy using money to get to the girl.

This 2nd reason is the most important according to my mum. A girl that has enough money to take care of herself would not be easily influenced by guys who are trying to use money to get to her.

It is because of this reason that I said your sister is greedy and deceitful. She had enough money yet she still comes to you for more(greed) and pretends that she doesn't have(deceit).

It would be easy for her to fall prey to guys that use money to lure girls. Just saying. undecided

Karleb:
My brother! You have addressed many issues.

Even in marriages, they go for the bad guys, leaving the good guys hanging and when the union hit the wall, the put the blame on men not minding their terrible choices.

It was in my final year that I learnt that my Dad send more money to my sister than he sends to me, yet this girl will come to my lodge and I will still do the elder brother duties to her and her friend.

Women have problems, quite alright but don't men have their own problems too? Why are men not shouting marginalization?

It's one of the reasons I will never be a feminist.

Lol it does not work that way. You have no proof that the op is who he says he is, you have no proof that the company in charge of your cleaning has an employee on NL.
Look there is nothing here, this one of the reason NL is a faceless forum.

I even thought maybe you would answer me with something like, I would call an IT expert they would track the op's IP address, find his location find out his name etc. Lol grin

He said my dad use to keep a pot in a wardrobe.... That any time he plays hide and seek he sees it.

You're right not all are into shady deals.

humilitypays:
Not all are into shady deals.

Young people of today are becoming financially smart, thats why you see more of young successful guys. Some make 2 million naira everyday doing legitimate jobs, dont ask me how and nobody should ask me to teach them because such things can be abused by Nigerians and it becomes overcrowded and less lucrative.

In life, work hard, add smartness, find a niche, be consistent and innovative in that particular niche dont be in a hurry to quit, keep grinding and let more and more people know thats what you do, and wait for your time as you pray to God for grace and favour.

I used to think becoming financially rich is kind of mysterious thing, but its not if you find yourself in the right sector at the right time and with the right cycle

It's an experience worth having .
I was opportuned to get a job with industrial cleaning company in Lagos . We clean houses of rich men before the they pack in .That was how I entered houses of rich men and celebrities in Lekki, Victoria Island Eko Atlantic etc.

I have entered Don Jazzy house , Ay Comedian, 2 face. Etc. More of non celebrity super rich billionaires.

I cried when I entered one Igbo guy house his name is Frances. I asked God one qestion " Lord why are some people so rich while some people are so poor in the same country"

People reading this comment who are currently in Lagos island will tell you that demon of poverty is no where around Lekki.

Some churches in Lagos island runs on 24 hour electricity . Example house on the rock.
Brethren Some people are enjoying heaven here Earth. Although you can't compare heaven and Earth but some people have unimaginable wealth here in Nigeria .

Am just writing for people who have not been there . If you want to come to Lagos make sure you visit places around Lagos island.

BRATISLAVA:
Conduct an interview and stop making assumptions. Even the way most of you comment here, looking down on opinions of women is a sure sign that you don't want women to speak or be heard or seen. You would prefer yourselves instead.

Anyway, do the interview on hardworking women who achieve their dreams and goals. Ask them how they got there, if there was any marginalization, etc.

There is no need going back and forth with you. I gave you a list names you claimed they're the exceptions. Now you want more names?
Guy go and Google it.
The fact is nothing is stopping any hard-working woman from achieving her dreams and goals in Nigeria, the same applies to a man.
Stop carry victim hood mentality. It would not take you anywhere.

Wow!!! so your evidence that women are being marginalised are those things you listed?

Now let me ask you is there any law stopping women from attaining such positions?

FreeIgboho:
The vast majority of women in Nigeria are NOT in the category described by OP. They are indeed marginalized and expected to be comfortable being second class citizens and very subservient to men

-----------------------------

How many women are like your account officer? Nigeria is approximately 50% women. Look at the business, political, church, education, etc leadership landscapes in Nigeria. How many are wome??
-----------------------------

Remember 50% are women. How many of the following have been women:
Presidents
Senators
Governors
House of reps
Millionaires and billionaires
Church leaders
Top business owners
Heads if universities
Heads of the military branches
Heads of labour unions
Etc.
Remember women are 50% of the population. What percentage of these do you think are women?
