Sports › Re: Barcelona Sack Xavi With Flick Set To Replace Him by Angelfrost(m): 10:11pm On May 24, 2024
Won't call it a 'sack'.

Xavi's mind left that club since December last year.

Barcelona has fallen badly from grace.

The main problem with top clubs like Barcelona, Man United, Chelsea, etc, is not coaching but management.

They are poorly run by businessmen who have no football intelligence, and refuse to allow Coaches free rein to dictate players transfers in and out of the clubs.

Alex Ferguson did so well back in the day because he practically dictated Man United's transfer processes.

Politics › Re: One Year Of ‘renewed Hope’: Tinubu’s Costly Reforms Leave Nigerians On Edge by Angelfrost(m): 2:41pm On May 24, 2024
Personally, most Nigerians haven't suffered enough...!

Nothing anybody wan tell me.

When people have suffered beyond their limits to bear, they don't merely wail online... They put fear in the hearts of their useless leaders through united revolutions.

Tinubu knows this for a fact... Buhari knew this fact, hence was never perturbed for a day in that office.

They know that no matter how much these people suffer, they will still remain too divided to anything other than bitch about online.

Nigeria is a corrupt leader's dream! cool
Politics › Re: ₦500,000 Minimum Wage: The Labour Union Are Unrealistic With Their Proposal by Angelfrost(m): 2:40pm On May 24, 2024
helinues:
Not only Labour, even those who are supporting their N500k proposal

All of them are just unrealistic
Agreed! Labour's demands are unrealistic (and I'm dead certain they know it).

However, how realistic is it that a nation as poor as Nigeria, has one of the most expensively run governments on Earth?!!
Politics › Re: ₦500,000 Minimum Wage: The Labour Union Are Unrealistic With Their Proposal by Angelfrost(m): 2:31pm On May 24, 2024
helinues:
Where do the Labour union expect the government to get the funds? To borrow or to increase more tax base which Nigerians are fuming at both?

What should happen to private sector workers, how would they be able to cope in the same economy where the government workers would be earning X300% of their basic salary?

What would happen to Nigeria economy with government paying N500k as salary? Inflation of course.

Labour union are only after salary increase but not after fishing out the ghost workers and those with shady certificates who consume chunk of the salaries paid by government
Good points... So, let me ask...

Where does the same country get the kind of money to do the following:

1. Subsidise Religious pilgrimage to the tune of over 80 Billion Naira

2. Purchase cars worth 120 Million each for Lawmakers

3. Travel every quarter for medical tourism

4. Embezzle Billions from the state and national reserves every month

5. Spend Billions renovating a mere VP's quarters.

If the nation lacks the funds to make citizens live well, then it should also lack the funds to make the President and all officials live ostentatious lives.

While I agree that the demands of NLC are ridiculous, even idiotic, we need to tell the leaders the truth!

Leadership should and must be by example.

If the nation is truly broke, then the financial straits should be seen from President to citizens.

Politics › Re: 'Nigeria, We Hail Thee': Bill seeking return of old anthem gets Reps, Senate nod by Angelfrost(m): 3:01pm On May 23, 2024
Why don't these people ever pass meaningful bills??!

After spending hours presiding over this crap, they will pocket millions in sitting allowance, then embark on break.

In the event there are members of that rubberstamped house here, the following are meaningful bills to be passed into law:

1. Restructuring of the nation.

2. Review and correction of that 1999 Constitution

3. Death Penalty to Rapists, Cultists, and Corrupt officials

4. Ensuring election tribunals and courts conclude on election issues before swearing in the winner, especially at Presidential level.
Interim transition committee can preside while the tribunal seats.

5. Outlawing all forms of Jungle Justice

Politics › Re: Labour Wants ₦‎497,000, FG Laments Paucity Of Funds by Angelfrost(m): 8:00am On May 23, 2024
Idiots!!!

Why wasn't there paucity of funds when you guys were:

1. Subsidising Pilgrimage with 90 Billion

2. Buying and importing expensive cars for Lawmakers

3. Refurbishing VP's house with Billions

4. Traveling aimlessly about at the expense of national funds

Etc.

This is the problem! When there is a lack of transparency and integrity in leadership, such issues will keep arising.

This is what made NLC make such ridiculous demands... Because of the obscene way funds are spent among you guys in government.

Even far developed and wealthy nations don't overindulge their leaders like Nigeria and Nigerians do.

Sacking him is not my problem, but getting a coach like De zerbi will be a problem
Given time, Bobby De Zerbi might deliver with that team, since it's an upgrade from the one he is leaving at Brighton.

The issue is he won't do anything better than what Pochettino has set in motion.

They should have allowed Poch another season to see if he continues to grow and improve from here, rather than starting another experiment with another coach.
Politics › Re: Minimum Wage: FG, Labour Meeting Adjourned As Workers Rejects ₦‎54,000 Offer by Angelfrost(m): 8:07am On May 22, 2024
Validated:
Tinubu has no place in governance. How can you recommend $35 a month for a family man?
Labour should ask him for the breakdown.

Labour should insist on $250 or N387,590. If Tinubu cannot pay, let him give way.
Good points, but let's face facts... Can this nation truly survive the fallout of paying a minimum wage of over 300k in this unproductive and corrupt economy?!!

The way prices of commodities will hit the roof due to more money chasing fewer goods will sink the nation into oblivion.

Labor needs to sit down with seasoned economists (they ought to have some in their rank and file), and find a way to make workers' lives better without plunging the nation into a calamitous HYPERINFLATION!

You don't just toss lots of money into people's hands without a buoyant economy to cushion their spending.

For me... Both sides of this debacle should come clean and be reasonable.

FG needs to seriously open up about the nation's finances... They have to show that they are cutting back on their excesses too.
Politics › Re: Minimum Wage: FG, Labour Meeting Adjourned As Workers Rejects ₦‎54,000 Offer by Angelfrost(m): 7:59am On May 22, 2024
Sigh... Just give them 80K per month offer abeg.

It makes no sense that workers can't feed or transport themselves every month on the salaries you pay them.

Maybe a little more transparency would set everything right.

Show the labor leaders the current state of the nation's finances and economy...!

There is no way you can't reach a compromise once you lay all the cards on the table.

If Labor believes and insists you can do better, that's probably because you are hiding facts from them.

Why hide income facts from them?!!

Without total honesty and all round changes in governance, this nation is going nowhere!!!

Very bad decision any coach they hire now no matter how good will definitely start to rebuild all over again which takes time. I don't know why chelsea owners always want every new coach to automatically win the epl title and the champions league at his first season? It takes time to build a title winning team pep didn't win the epl and champions league at his first season.

Probably why De Zerbi hurriedly resigned.
