Aside the top five banks, the rest fall under national and regional cadre with a small capital requirement. The 500bn is for international banks which most do not fall under, I believe we won't see a lost of M&A. Just crazy rush to increase capital size, most likely route is FDI.
True... Well said.

Gbamest!!! Totally Stamped and Sealed!

One of the best CBN Heads this nation ever had.

Obj really surrounded himself with technocrats and brilliant minds while in charge of this nation... He was wise enough not to allow nepotism influence his choices.

Will this not lead to layoffs and closure of branches etc

I see them using less human to significantly reduce costs
Well, mergers will be inevitable... The smaller banks will have no choice but to succumb to being absorbed into bigger ones.

Of course, in that event, some of the lower staff members of those small banks will have to be axed.

Nigeria is a beautiful country
A very beautiful country indeed, that should be raking in Billions of Dollars every year in Tourism...!

Insecurity and Corruption simply won't allow this blessed country to see progress.

Klopp, pls come to Man united.
Lol... Klopp can't be that stupid to downgrade his career from Liverpool to Man United, especially when there are better chances of succeeding at Barcelona, Bayern, and Real Madrid.

He even has a better chance at glory if he goes back to Dortmund.

Man United needs to strip itself of so many management and administrative issues, as well as clean up its transfer unit before harming another good coach's legacy. tongue

Y'all should stay with ETH till your club is on the right path again.

Leverkusen would be best for him because he's not that good as a coach for Liverpool FC or Bayern Munich, or else he would flop and it will tell on the any of the teams..

Xabi Alonso of yesteryears, his shot power and accuracy ehn cool. How time flies...
Curiously... Who would you recommend to replace the current coaches in Madrid, Bayern, and Liverpool??!

...And also explain how they are far better than Xabi.
Sports › Re: Alonso: Amid Bayern Munich, Liverpool Links, I'll Stay as Coach at Leverkusen by Angelfrost(m): 3:10pm On Mar 29, 2024
Freshtruth:
Pride they say is a killer he might never have another opportunity than this again or maybe his waiting for d Madrid job if that is d case is a big mistake because of impatient Perez I believe Liverpool will suit him most even though he would be hard to say no to bayern
Trust me, he isn't truly ready for the elite positions... The massive pressure, demands, and impatience of their owners and fans will destroy his fledgling career.

The main reason he has thrived and is now doing wonders at Bayer is that they placed little pressure on him, allowed him the room to tinker, and imposed his philosophy on his choice of players, all the while giving him ample time to grow the team.

No top club will give him more than half a season to produce massive results. Not Madrid, Bayern, Liverpool, Man United, or even PSG! NONE!!!

Staying for at least one more season at his current club will enable him to consolidate and entrench his experience and coaching worth.
Sports › Re: Alonso: Amid Bayern Munich, Liverpool Links, I'll Stay as Coach at Leverkusen by Angelfrost(m): 2:59pm On Mar 29, 2024
Smart choice...!

Xabi is a wise man... Wiser than Graham Potter, Julian Nagelsmann, and Steven Gerrard.

He knows hype is nothing! An extra season in a club where he has done the impossible makes a lot of sense.

Now, he can stroll into UCL with them, and see how far he can take them while making a serious effort to defend the Bundesliga.

Big clubs are traps for the unprepared and inexperienced... There is never a real guarantee of success for most young coaches, especially since the owners/management and fans of those clubs will never give him the room and patience he is enjoying at Bayer Leverkusen.

Nah... Jonathan was either a coward or just tired of being in Aso Rock for allowing Buhari win.

...And yes, he permitted and allowed Buhari win!

Incumbency is no joke in our corrupt political landscape.

Tinubu won't be that weak... Even in the event of his demise, APC will still hold on to power.

Nigerians don enter serious one chance by allowing in Tinubu and APC.

They own Nigeria now!!! Same way Lagos is firmly in their control.

Nothing short of a bloody revolution or coup will reverse this... We're now officially a One party Government.

Better get used to it.

Let's be clear, you are the one talking about a minimum wage here.
£2K a month is not the minimum wage in the UK either.
Yes, I know that... I referenced that because statistically, over 50% of Nigerians earn below the minimum wage.

Trying to sell a lie that 200k earners in Nigeria live far better lives than those earning an equivalence of over 2 Million in the UK is idiotic and fallacious.
