I got you! But as it is, we all are entitled to our opinions. Besides, i didn't remember where she expressly said that. However, the fact remains that Ghadafi was taken out for obvious reasons. Anyone who still believe that the west killed Ghadafi to enthrone democracy, is probably living in delusion.

I think the quagmire the house of Saud has placed itself in Yemen, plus it's commitment in Syria, has much to do with this current position. Not withstanding, comperatively, the Saudis have been top spenders. Before now, they have already outspent the likes of France, Britain, etc. Thus, isn't much of a surprise. But come to think of it: what have they really achieved with such spendings? Just consider the Yemen campaign. Be that as it may, they are where they are now, and there is nothing anyone can do about it.

Damn man! When I thought those MK ULTRA lab rats had taken enough blows, you come storming out of the shadows and daze them further with this salvo!
Those Russophobes can only watch in frustration and curse underneath their breath as mighty Russia thwarts their plans in Syria and in other places. Sometimes the selective amnesia (their refusal to acknowledge "success" of the "liberation" in Iraq and Libya for instance) & the hypocrisy (unashamededly siding with increasingly tyrannical Erdogan & the despotic, debauched Saudi regime that is in line to further eclipse its head chopping record this year) all in their effort to stand in opposition to and try to discredit Russia.
It is amazing really!

Their logic for an "argument" as well: so so twisted, uncorrelated abd unrelated hoping that we - that I like to call the Resistance to the Empire- won't be smart enough to pick up on the obsfucation and the lies and this is an area rife with so many examples such as the one you and I have already pointed out but let's not even get into that at the moment.

Anyway, I think it's time I bought you a drink and discussed in person, Appleyard. Where are you based?
In a time of global deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act. These unrepentant offsprings of the modern Babylonian narrative, armed with the tool kits of their mind-boggling russophobic deficiencies, goes about spewing lies that can make Satan to hope for redemption (since it appears now that he is no longer holding the Lie monopoly,) and deliberately misrepresenting facts, hoping (just like you said) that they're dealing with dummies or robots that can't engage in logical reasoning, or rightly plain stupid. This is really pathetic. If someone cannot employ common sense, and geometrically decode what is going on now; then i must say, common sense is not that common after all. But for the nature some folks chose to become, this shameful trend would continue. That's man for you - denying the stark reality and embracing the false reality just to satisfy their own expected reality, which is nothing but a delusional world of their own making. This is the hall mark of irredeemable self-incacerated obstinacy, induced by their constant sequence of mendacity, even when the facts are so glaring. At the end, what you see are individuals arrayed in russophobic melancholy of unprecedented hatred, trolling like a circus around the web, in their warped malevolent megalomanical illusory analysis. Like Tkester said; they need a mighty redemption that should enable them see things the way they are.

God help us all.

They have gleefully quoted Q4 2015 as the Hilarious!
Shebi let's wait for the results of Q1 & Q2 2016.
Don't mind these jokers down here. Quoting Q4 2015 and relating it to 2016, was a bit reckless on their part, and that got me laughing. They simply forgot that the nitty-gritty of the Russian sanctions took effect from January 1st, 2016. Now, you can guage the effects of the sanctions from the 1st of January down to March, and taking into accounts the glaring facts such as the links provided by Fineguy11, as well as the ones you pictured, even coming from a western media source like the BBC, ditto the ones i provided for Eebruary; it becomes clear that the impact are being felt already, and we may not have to wait for Q1 result sheet.

Details by late January 2016, shows that the toll of financial losses for Turkey tallied in nearly 10$ billion – and several business analysts foreboded a bleak future for the Turkish economy in 2016. To say this is for real, check this exerpt:

Meanwhile, the Turkish economy continues to be weak. According to IMF, the country’s GDP is likely to expand by about 3%. But the Turkish government projects the economy to expand 4.5%. The economy is expected to have expanded more than 4% in Q4; however, it is expected to have slowed in Q1 due to increased geopolitical tensions and Russian sanctions. Russia imposed additional sanctions against Turkey, barring new Turkish construction and restricting tourism activities in Russia with banned food imports.

Turkey’s private consumption might also decline due to high unemployment and inflation. Meanwhile, Turkish external accounts are faring well; however, they are unlikely to rebound further. Despite a weaker lira, exports from Turkey remain weak. Turkey’s exports in January declined 22% y/y, the largest fall since September 2009. External account is likely to deteriorate due to Russian sanctions via tourism and agricultural exports.

This is what a certain lady called 'Russian laughable sanctions,'' abi? I dey help am laf o. grin

Now, for February, as we had already seen, the complains are getting louder, with bankruptcy threatening the entire agro sector. And when that my rebelious daughter from Fairfax opined that the Russian sanctions are superflous and ineffective as a result of the ''Azerbaijan black market,'' she forgot to mention that we just left March, during which Turkey was still (and its still) looking for new alternative markets within the Mideast and to Africa. If the Azerbaijan-MISSY-black market made the Russian sanctions superficial by absorbing the orphaned Turkish goods, why in March were they still looking for markets for their ''caveat emptor'' products in places as far as Tazania, Kenya, Nigeria, and Egypt? :-

Oh, my daughter who has bewitched thee... ;-

Again, consider this!

However painful the sanctions may prove, they rank quite low in the hierarchy of strategic priorities of Russia. Putin wanted to hit Turkey where it hurt the most: the Syrian War and the Kurdish Issue.

Right after the downing of its plane, Russia set out to thwart the strategy of Turkey in the Syrian War. Since the outbreak of the Syrian War, Turkey consistently endeavored to achieve two inter-related objectives: first, overthrow Syrian leader al-Assad, install a friendly Sunni Muslim government in Damascus and, by extension, dismantle the informal Shia axis in the Middle East; secondly, obstruct the unification of the autonomous Kurdish enclaves in northern Syria and, by extension, the establishment of an independent Kurdish state beyond its control. Turkey spared no treasure, time or labor to realize these objectives. In co-operation with Qatar and Saudi Arabia, Turkey offered sanctuary, weapons and training to the armed opposition in Syria. However, the dynamic military intervention of Russia in support of Assad in September 2015 upset the overall plan for regime change in Damascus; the downing of the warplane thwarted them completely.

Turkey could only watch as Russia pound its investments to shreds, and a mass exodus of d Turkmen began. Some of Its key supplies and supply routes cut off. Moscow started flirting with the PYD, which opened a 'consulate' in Moscow in January. Aided by Russia's Elijah fire, they took grounds in Kobani and Afrin, places Erdogan wants for his no-fly zone. His planes can't fly, the YPG taking territories. PKk getting stronger back home. And....

Suddenly, after 4months, Turkey miraclelously find the SU24 Pilot murderer in a certain restaurant with 'guns,' and so was arrested.

I dey laf o. grin

The id1ots have painfuly realized that this is Russia, master of d geo game. And d covert show is d only way to save face while acquieascing to Russia's demand 4 justice. Agbada scraping barbwire. gringrin

Same question i was about to ask. Russia's laughable sanctions against Turkey did not work and the black market through Azerbaijan mitigated their effects.

Comic thread lipsrsealed
The sanctions had their own relative effect, contrary to what you want to believe. Hear from the horses mouth itself - from Turkey:

''26 February 2016,11:44
the country’s food exporters are losing most of their business as a result of sanctions, the newspaper Dunya said.

(February 26, Tatar-Imform).

''Messing with Russia has left the Turkish agricultural sector in shambles, as the country’s food exporters are losing most of their business as a result of sanctions, the newspaper Dunya said, citing a report by Mediterranean Exporters Union.
Sanctions have hit Turkish food exporters real hard: the export of agricultural products fell by 88 percent last month compared to January 2015, according to the Turkish newspaper.
The situation is so dire that the Turkish agricultural sector might be on the verge of full bankruptcy without the government's support.

"If the government fails to extend a helping hand, the sector can bankrupt in all segments — from producers to exporters," the newspaper said.

The Russian market was the main export area for Turkish food producers. Ankara has been trying to find alternative markets to sell its agricultural products, but so far Turkish attempts have fallen short.

On tourism, the impact of the sanctions could be more painful as months pass by. Terrorism is taking its toll on the sector already, and as Russian sanctions kicked in from January, now entering a much worse moments ahead, finding a replacement for over 2.5 million tourists from one particular country, its practically impossible. Not to mention that the effect is already amplifying as more tourists from other nations are now seeing Turkey as another Egypt in the aftermath of the Airbus brouhaha. These no doubt have the Turkish economy under some considerable pressure, and even the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, has foreseen this and thus estimated that the effect could slow down Turkish economic growth by 0.7 percent in 2016.

Therefore, it wasn't much of a surprise to hear Davotoglu calling on Russia to down the sanction tools. However small, they had their own effects.

Hypothetical scenarios about what country can outgun what country. An "argument" that is pointless, hence my refusal to even engage in such a "discourse".
By the way, what side do we really expect a Western news media would swing it to? So why bother?

One thing you we should all ask though is based on precedence and history, what country has seen wars through to the end, what country has shown the grit to stomach losses and hunker down no matter how bad the consequences were? And what country has displayed clear cut strategic goals, entry and withdrawal strategies? What country more than other has been bugged down by mission creep and endless wars and has failed woefully and consistently to win the "hearts and minds" of the "conquered" people?

So before we start talking of aircraft carriers, TOPOL-Ms, S-400s, stealth aircraft and what not, we gotta ask what country has wielded the military - and diplomatic - stick the best.

End of story.

NATO as a whole is not scared of Russia for nothing, it's simply because of what they are capable of doing.

How will the "largest subs" get close to a carrier that is protected but a sub killer, frigates and destroyers? They would have to defeat an entire carrier group which is not an easy feat
My senorita, don't believe everything you read. Most are propaganda.

It is generally written and known that ''when the U.S. Navy deploys a battle fleet on exercises, let alone on mission proper, it takes the security of its aircraft carriers very seriously indeed. At least a dozen warships, like you rightly implied, provides a physical guard while the technical wizardry of the ''world's only military superpower'' offers an ''invisible shield'' to ''detect and deter'' any intruders.
That is the theory. Or, rather, was the theory, which presupposes that a US Carrier group is invincible and cannot be reach, abi?. cheesy
But do you know they got the shocker of their lives when a Chinese Song Class submarine (modelled after the Russian Kilo class sub) in 2007, suddenly surfaced like a ghos, undetected, and dangerously close to the US Carrier, Kitty Hawk, passing all the accompanying ships, virtually obsoleting the so-called ''shield and detector,'' right in the midst of a US live navy excercise, that left the sailors an Pentagon boiling in anger? What does that tell you? Well, your guess is as good as mine.

But like i said earlier: it is impracticable to compare conventional might, because, they won't be the number one option when hostilities commence. We both know it is nuclear for sure.

Here is the link to that factual awakening.

NaijaTalkTown:
The award for Basketmouth of the year goes to the OP.

He stated that America has the largest ship in the world but he did not tell us that Russia has the largest submarine in the world (submarines are meant to sink ships).

Also, Russia's Air force haven't fought a single war since 1991 until September 2015 when a small compartment was send to Syria to fight Daesh and guess what? What the US Air force couldn't achieve in 4 years, the Russian Air force achieved in 5 months (so the OP's claim that the US has the most recent combat experience which gives advantage to the US is a lie).

Talking of fighter jets, does the US has an ECM as good as the Russian Khibiny? How do you strike an enemy you can't see? The US MIC has been spending billions since 2013 to decode the Khibiny but they haven't succeeded so how do they fight Russian jets armed with it?

By trying to give the impression that America will defeat Russia and China in war shows that the OP knows nothing about war. America and Russia cannot defeat one another in a war, they will nuke themselves and everyone else to Armageddon.
Your sense is right there in your head, mind and eyes! There can never be any conventional war between Russia and the US to begin with. From the word go, the ''happy sound of flying nuclear pins'' would be the ''sad lyrics'' that will paint the skies and reechoe across the horizon, enroute to their destination of doom! Even Mazeltov, in a previous thread, has attested to this reality. I wonder why he is now creating a thread to the contrary.

They say, ''if wishes were horses, beggars would ride.'' This mush is true when we see analysis from both side of the divide narrowing the possible escalation of the historically tense friction between the world most capable militaries, down to an avalanche of ''conventionalism.'' That's a good thought to revere in. But unfortunately, the sad reality is that, when it comes down to Rus and the modern day Babylon, there are no wishful horses to ride. THERE CAN NEVER BE ANY CONVENTIONAL WAR BETWEEN THE TWO. The word ''conventional'' doesn't exist in the strategic book of their military planners! It would be Satan's Bombs from the very first shot.

On this ground, i always finds it difficult to engage in such discussions. And come to think of it: weapons, allies, and even money to a great extent, are not the best that determines who wins a war, especially of such magnitude as the one being envisaged. Even the best of strategy or the best laid plans do fail, and blow back like an Adrian Pirlo's rebounding freekick from the crossbar. Believe me! Aside Will Power, any war of this magnitude would primarily be determine by the chief determinator; the Cosmic Order. Have you ever wondered why the First World War ended in the ''Eleventh Hour, Eleventh Day, of the Eleventh Month? Well, that's it! The Cosmic Orderliness of Events. Brother, the Spiritual determines the Physical; depending on which ever way they might want the pendullum to swing. Once they get involvf, it will not matter your size or stature. ValerianSteel:
Slitting the throat of suspected homosexuals as endorsed by a sitting President who is meant to protect the lives of every of his citizens is knowing the back of his hand.

You are quite insane and very insensitive. You are a disgrace to anyone learned and supposedly intelligent. It shows despite the education you presumably have, you encourage and support violent acts against a harmless minority. You are no better than a savage terrorist on the streets of Baghdad undecided
''By their fruites you shall know them.'' Don't you have the power of comrehension? Don't you know that the government is an agent of moral discipline, as enshrined by the nature according to the dictates of the Almighty? I see you don't. Now, take a seat and consider this:

Romans 13 vs 1,

''Let every soul (including valerianSteel) be subject unto the higher powers (governments.) For there is no power but of God: the powers (governments) that be are ordained (sanctioned) of God (that is, all government, derives their validity from God, as allowed by Him.)

Now check this!

2. '' Whosoever therefore resisteth the power (the laws created by the government, especially when they reflect God's standard,) resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation (punishment as deemed fit by the ruling authority.)

3 For rulers are not a terror to good works (behavior and conducts that are just and acceptable before the natural order,) but to the evil (who is the evil? The man who does the followings: Romans 1:25-32 King James Version (KJV)
25 -

''Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: (feelings not consistent with nature) for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly (homosexualism,) and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

..........

31 ..... without natural affection......, :

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death (even by the hands of the government as an avenger of God's wrath against sin,) not only do the same (not just against the pepertrators alone)-, but have pleasure in them that do them.)

Are you one of them? I doubt.

You see, there is always a penalty waiting for such people who disobeyed the laws of the land and pratice evil, including them that support and sympathise with them that do such evil. For the government is mandated to deal with such. Back to vs 4 of Rom. 13:

4 For he (the head of the government) is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword (the gun, whip, or hangrope) in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

As you can see, it's quite clear that the government (most importantly, one whose administration and laws reflects the natural order,) is an institution established to ensure social discipline, standing and stability, and through the promulgation of laws, it enforces the natural order of behavior-the hall mark of natural law. It is trite that governments legislate laws, and the formulations and constitution of such laws, evolved from morality, which is the divine law (God's law.) Thus, the law legislate morals, and if the laws of a land criminalize the act of homosexuality, which in turn is against nature and frowns at by morality in lieu with the dictates of nature, then such law is valid and sanctioned by God, which is the ultimate law giver. The nation's economic, political or religious background not withstanding. What is wrong is wrong, and the right is always right!

Therefore if a well develop America is chose to legalized the act of homosexualism as a fundamental right (the same act they once criminalized,) in the name of ''democrazy,'' it tells you how they view God and His ways. But if a remotely, poor and backward nation like Gambia and Nigeria is criminalizing the same act, it also entails their respect for God by virtue of the natural order of submissiveness. The buttom line is that, while one chose its standard based on the supremacy of the natural, another based its on man's perverted intelligence - God vs the Devil.

I wonder the side you belong.

If my father married a man, i wonder from which area i would have proceeded out of him. Even animals are not gays! But someone is saying, it's alright. Pathetic.

Man is in deed, a failed project!

why is Cocaine and Heroine against the law in those Pro-LGBT countries? Why can't you rob, kidnap and murder freely?... It is freedom and choice to do any of these...but the law of a country has punishments for each of them....

If they want total freedom and liberty, they should legalise Marijuana, Cocaine, Heroine, guns, bombs, kidnapping, robbery, murder, rape etc etc......all these things should be free for all....then we will take them serious...
So much sense.
Foreign AffairsRe: Gambia's President Speech To Homosexual Act by Appleyard(m): 4:14pm On Mar 28, 2016
This is a man that certainly knows the back of his hand. What the west calls ''human right'' is nothing but a perversion of nature. Even Satan didn't go for unclad Adam. The modern day western concept of human right, is a disease which no reasonable person should even take to heart. The whiteman has gone mad while thinking he is sane!
Foreign AffairsRe: Why Is David Cameron So Silent On The Recapture Of Palmyra From ISIS. by Appleyard(m): 3:59pm On Mar 28, 2016
Why are they silent? Well, what else do you expect? Russia is cleaning up their mess at the moment, and what the west couldn't do for years, the Syrian army has achieve in a limited time, and of course, its by the air power of Vladimir Putin, God's Elijah to Syria, bringing fire from heaven against the western diabolic designs for Syria. Now you can understand why the silence is deafening. This was the same Cameron's Britain whose planes were caught and shot down by Iraqi forces, as they air-dropped weapons for IS. Of course, the silence is all they can do now. With the Russian success and Assad's position consolidated, the id1otic US puppet-west is looking like a confuse man who neither can go to the right nor left in a given scenario. Admitting and lauding the Syrian army success over IS in Pymira, would conote a tacit failure in their SATANIC policy towards Syria, while at the same time admiting the legitimacy of the Assad government to manage its own affairs, as well as tacitly crediting the Russian engagement in like manner.
On the other hand, downgrading the SAA achievement would have laid bare the real motive of the west engaging in the Syrian Brouhaha, and with the refugees in mind, many of these clowns cum Western governments would be praying for a speedy Syrian success against ISIS, so they can breath in some fresh air, when Syria eventualy become stable and the refugees returns home. But being the puppet they are, they just can't openly allude to these facts! Now you can understand even better, the graveyard silence. The zombies like Cameron are caught in the middle. Especially when you take into consideration the fact that the RAF, and the French air force all went in there, but how many sorties had they flown? Virtually nothing! So you can imagine how shameful they must be feeling now, witnessing the rapid entrance and exit of the Bear's air force, a mission that has proved to be the turning point in the Syria troubled water - Russia, with clear-cut objectives, flying sorties that superceded the entire ones it flown in WW2, as against Britain's intervention, having no clearly defined objectives
in Syria, and with nothing to show for their involvement.

How pathetic and deafening the silence must have been accross Downing Street!

Pathetic puppets.
