Now here's my point, Lets not dwell much on the past because everyone has played their own part in manifesting the enormous evil that the heart of a man can cook up.

Most of you here haven't even seen the said movie but you all have internet. I wonder how the thousands that are protesting and killing innocent people get to know of this "offensive" Video? If not one man standing on the pulpit and inciting hatred among another entire group?

Sam Bacile (popularly called Sam slowpoke) actually made this movie for this exact purpose to incite this sort of outrage! The moive looked like something done with a budget of $1000 and nothing more. It makes Nollywood look like HollyWOOD with a capital "wood". He made his actors act a totally different movie Because everyone is now sensitive about insulting Islam that people wont want to act anything of the sort (who wants to die young?). He made them act a very general movie then he edited the name of Mohammed in with a very messed up voice-over that makes it too obvious.

Who is the winner here? The guys protesting on the street? the innocent lives lost? Sam Bacile? You be the Judge

My final words: We will all live on this planet and die some day. None of us will actually know if there is an afterlife or not until we die. It is indeed a 50-50 chance either there is an afterlife or there isn't. Living our lives on the absolute certainty of an afterlife makes the purpose of life itself meaningless. Lets enjoy what we have now, Live with care, love, and tolerance of the other man. For those of us that believe in Gods, let your God fight his own battle. For those of us that don't (me inclusive), tolerate the other.

Finally, it isn't a waste of time to engage in meaningful debate on the accuracy of the bible. I can toss just as many questions that cant be answered from the bible due to inconsistencies. I've always said "an omniscient, omnipotent, 'omni everything else' god must preserve the infallible nature of his word". If he can't do that, then he isn't fit to be called my god

I use this website often to catch up with Important Nigerian stuff. I don't need to know if two teenagers are not agreeing with themselves and I believe plenty people on this forum share those views. I have gone through very interesting topics in many other sections that Never make the front page. But every other celebrity one seems to matter more.

First of all, Language evolves. And if you think anyone can keep a particular language for a long time then u're making a mistake. To make a child learn his language seems pointless when he is born and raised in a different culture. Taking them home doesn't make much sense either because they are only linked to their heritage by birth and nothing else. An American born/raised African is in fact an American and not African

Take an African child born and raised in a western country and compare to one raised in Africa. It will be quite obvious they will be very different individuals culture-wise. One system isnt clearly better than the other by mere inspection. What works in a certain society should stay there

Preservation of culture is an illusion. Culture has always evolved and will continue to do so, our ability to adapt and make the most of it is what differentiate success from epic fail

Everything else is few and far in between. I don't mind politics on the front page for useful news. Romance and the rest are just plain pointless.

Having said that, I do understand the need for N'land to capture all range of users which makes it important to keep "attractive" posts like those in the front page!
