Politics › Re: Risqua: Murtala Muhammed Left N7,000 In His Account As Ex Head Of State by AreaFada2: 9:13pm On Dec 02, 2019 |
MM destroyed civil service in the name of fighting corruption.
He sacked people many of whom were trained abroad and began in colonial civil service. When civil servants were far more disciplined owing to training in colonial service. The ones that replaced them were far far worse. Our civil service never recovered from that mistake till today.
While his intention might have been good, he was too naive to throw the baby away with the bath water.
RIP to him. |

kittykollinxx: I doubt if they could even bark. Its shameful that the decentralization enjoyed by the state government from the federal government is not been enjoyed by the LG from the SG. I can tell you for free that development would actually be difficult if LGs are not decentralized from the SG Sadly it will not change anything any more. LG Chairmen will just become mini-governors looting just same way. We need a root and branch reform from FG to Local councils. With a strong anti-corruption net: where every contract awarded over 10k dollars must go through an independent audit body led by commonwealth experts like Canadians and Australians for the next 25 years. |

But death penalty for social media has passed it second bill without blinking ohhh What a country Kikikikiki. They want to kill anyone who dares to point out their corruption. That's what hate speech bill is. So death sentence for corruption like in China is impossible in 9ja. Very soon Nigerians will not be able to say a word without risking death if they see videos like Ganduje taking bribe repeatedly. |

They knew the subjects well and able to pass on the knowledge.
Many end up doing B.Ed because they didn't get into their courses of choice. So no motivation to begin with. |

Pappykuyt0100: Wrong I use Griseofulvin For My skin disease related to eczema ND it's fading at a fast rate Dude, I wrote ideally. Not that it cannot be used otherwise. Because ingestion comes with potentially more side effects. Topical drugs are first line for skin diseases usually. And there are other topical drugs to use first. You recommended Griseofulvin without warning about being unsuitable in liver failure or porphyria. Or even before trying for a baby or early pregnancy. Lots of weddings happen because baby is underway already. Please do not recommend medication anyhow. Let her see the dermatologist. Leave it to the experts. I know we use drugs anyhow in 9ja sha. |

By not summarily executing the mostly Western Igbo/Midwestern Igbo coup plotters? Because Anioma Igbo were called such at that time. Remember he had barely 6 months in office. |

Officialgarri: Looks like dried eczema.. Go to a pharmacy around u and buy "griesofulvin'... Keep using it....... Just keep using it Dude Griseofulvin is ideal Tinea capitis (ring worm of the scalp. So not to be used any now. Better to get a proper diagnosis first. Possibly after tests and then get treatment from a good dermatologist. |

Lonelypacifist6: University of transportation doesn't that sound weird? What do they want to teach there owo mi da, Kosi changee ooo, Wole si Lara? we're a Fvcking joke of a country. One wonders if a University department could not have been created in a fed uni in Katsina state to teach transportation courses. Or just transportation studies campus in Daura. With many mult-department Fed unis underfunded why do a stand alone university? How viable will it be? Just how many courses will be offered? Before you know it courses that are cheap to run but no relevance to transportation will be all they teach there. I would even prefer University of Transportation Technology teaching rigorous B. Tech courses. But this is 9ja. |

Racoon: [s][/s] "Maj.Okafor, one captain & a subaltern were assigned to arrest Maj.Gen.Ironsi and Brig. Maimalari..........
I returned to the main group @ the (Dodan Barracks) Officers' Mess.Okafor came....with the bad news that Gen.Ironsi had not been found @ home...But he has since surfaced @ the Dodan Barracks & succeeded in raising troops against us......
After that, he was said to have driven to the 2nd Battalion Barracks @ Ikeja to raise more troops against us.Yet none of the other groups has seen him to accost & arrest him.The news of Ironsi's escape came as a shock to all of us."
"WHY WE STRUCK(The Story Of The First Nigerian Coup)"-Adewale Ademoyega(Page 72-75). People are very ignorant of what transpired then. Like Zik, Ironsi was a great patriot who believed in Nigeria. They had good reasons to. Nigeria was very promising. Yes with hindsight some may see them as naive. But back then Igbo were already the best travelled across Nigeria. They saw the beauty of Nigerian diversity. They had no ethnic agenda. Ironsi even sought to bring Nigerians closer by bringing Unitarism, a stick used to flog him nowadays. Lack of such leaders who believe in Nigeria is the cause of our predicament now. |

Maybe it's his American girlfriend while married he used govt money to fund and gave govt contracts that does not like money.
Fact is Trump and Boris' racism appeal to their people, majority of whom have their prejudices bubbling underneath anyway. Their leaders showing it publicly pleases them and makes them believe it's mainstream belief albeit not being openly shown due to political correctness. |
Health › Re: Doctors Share Their Experiences With Nigerian Patients by AreaFada2: 9:55pm On Nov 28, 2019 |
maestroferddi: This is where you guys miss the mark.
Why must the obnoxious lots called politicians be your standard?
Enduring change starts when people are determined to bite the bullet in insisting on doing what is right and upholding a high water mark in integrity. In countries that work, it is because politicians provided the enabling environment. Provided infrastructure and strengthened institutions. They present and implement vision into which the private sector and citizens buy. With all that in place, everything else works like on autopilot.
We are all affected by politics. You do not to in politics. I still wonder how much exposure to the world you have.
Is there any country with terrible politicians that is successful? Look around the world and tell me.
Yours truly is not tarring all doctors with the same brush: I had an encounter with a one-in-a-million Nigerian doctor lately, and boy! was I wowed.
The thing here is that reforms are needed in the medical profession in Nigeria unlike the norm of doctors defending their colleagues even when it is obvious that they made crass, inexcusable blunders.
Doctors should not be politicians by calling. It is a conflict of professionalism... |
