Mancity26:Maybe assuming it is a bacterial infection is an error. How long has she been on treatment? What kind of treatment? Medication? Has she any other illness/auto-immune/allergies/asthma? Using medication for those? Any other part of the body involved like toenails, groin? Any family members with similar symptoms? Dated anyone with similar symptoms? Does she handle soil (e.g farmer) or has pets? What diagnosis has her doctor reached and has been treating? From the pics, looks like T. manuum infection and looking like the characteristic raised ring like feature. But direct physical exam by her doc should have confirmed it, backed with culture if possible. They may have been treating her for psoriasis or keratolysis. There should have been an improvement after 4 to 6 weeks if treated for Tinea manuum with adherence to medication & medication is not fake. Having been on treatment for that long, I'd say just getting medication tips over the internet may not be the best. Better to go get a proper diagnosis from a dermatologist. |
Well, stay for your parents house jeje. I wonder if your mother dodged wifely responsibilities. You will have been raised in your grandparents house or not exist at all. Housemaid do most of those chores for those who can afford it. |
Chai! Na wa o. These yahoo yahoo boys nor get fear o. ![]() |
IdeyFindWife:Just go to Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon Grandiloquence Finishing Academy (POGFA). You're a good candidate. ![]() |
sexyking1:And it is now Bubu and his goons are using scarce resources searching for petrol in Chad Basin. ![]() They will soon be searching for coal in Sokoto. ![]() Soon you be begging people to buy your barrel of Brent crude for $10 and nobody will take. Na then dem go know how far. The country matter just tire person o. Very unfortunate. |
Newpride:As a Yoruba Northerner, after governorship the biggest he can ever reach is minister, party chairman or senator. He wangled his way to Senate President! He has already over-achieved. The North would never let him use Northern slot as President of Nigeria or VP. SW would also not allow him use SW slot as president or VP. Saraki knows it very well and played his game perfectly. The future will take care of itself. ![]() |

efesodje:Very true. But how often do we think of these things properly? Sure we try to follow the rules and fulfill the roles incumbent on us. Also the character we build growing up depends on many influences: family/environment/society, social class, religious upbringing, etc. No two people are exactly same. Even those raised in the same family. That is individual uniqueness. |
efesodje:Without even looking at the link, I cannot entirely dismiss voodoo. Indonesians are very ancient people with their own way of life before Abrahamic religions got there. But more often than not psychology plays a bigger role. If you believe in it, it may seem to physically manifest. A bit like placebo effect. People with hallucination take it to be real. You the therapist or family member would do well not to initially dispute with them. ![]() |
efesodje:OK. But even with consent, modern morality would still frown at it. A modern religious person would still consider it the devil's temptation that should be resisted. To again illustrate how things have changed, adultery in nor more illegal in most Western societies, whose legal system we have more or less copied. It can be ground for divorce alright but no crime committed. Any man or woman can consent to sex with any major who's mentally sound provided no abuse of authority. The spouse's consent is not needed. I concede that morality and legality do not always converge. I just wanted to highlight your generalization. |
chijokz:Like any vigorous exercise, some people maybe prone to CA. Remember that Stella Damasus' hubby at the time, Durojaiye, died using his exercise bike. Just imagine if he died on top of a woman. Juju would have been touted as the cause. Believe in juju stuff really hindered our scientific progress. I had relatives now dead over 60 to 100 years ago. The stories older relatives told me about their work seem awesome. Those long dead relatives did traditional autopsies every bit as skilled as modern pathology ones. In those autopsies, they found tumours and malignancies, large kidney stones, abscesses, malformed babies in utero, fibroid, burst blood vessels, liver conditions, etc. They even used animals hunted/trapped like duiker (deer/antelope), boar and monkey as an opportunity to dissect healthy animals. That gave them the chance to learn how healthy tissues look like. Apparently this was an ancient practice. Going on when Europeans were doing same to learn anatomy. While the Europeans used it to further knowledge, we in Africa were using it to find the stone/object or disease that a witch or evil person used to afflict the victim when alive. Now just imagine if our ancestors took those findings as the results of physiological/biochemical/pathological processes in the body. We would have independently advanced our medical knowledge before the Europeans came. We would be talking of ancient African science now alongside Benin/Ife/Nok/Igbo-Uku arts. |
efesodje:What of some culture where they used to present a "night with the host's wife" like others present Kola-nut to a guest? Culture, religion, morality and everything is fluid. They evolve. In light of modernity, a man can hardly meet the needs of even one woman these days. So high are the sexual, material & emotional demands. Things women traditionally repressed in the past. This one almost everyone has a boyfriend or girlfriend and bang the hell out for years before marriage. It would have been unthinkable 75 years ago. We cannot even fathom how life will be like just 50 years from now. |
Some of the tips are still generally useful. But in a fast-paced world of nowadays, oyinbo have improved automotive tech to cancel out many of the old car problems. While creating some new headaches of course. Especially Benz E class cars really improved with their injection engines, of course borrowing from their initial injection racetrack cars. VW also harnessed the tech early. Now very common in cars |
chloride6:Ol' boy some will soon call your enemy "anti-Christ". ![]() How much has Dickson spent on "world class" food processing plant or even straw (to sip drink) processing plant? We're spending scarce resources looking for God that is always with us everywhere we go. Yet we ignore widows, orphans and the vulnerable languishing in poverty and disease. The very people God asked us help. We have a long to go. |
Those who call this country zoo are too kind. It should becalled a very deadly jungle where animals eat each other. My Goodness. RIP. |
Madness. Pure madness. |
alezzy13:Why not? If any staff served me drink or very rarely food in my room, I will surely tip. I was once not happy with food and asked it to be returned. The cook came by herself. She apologized and inquired how I wanted it cooked. I told her and she made the food with nice fresh meat & fish. I was starving after a long flight. I gave her a generous tip. |
Ayodejioak:Very funny. You mean those 45% who can afford a gen set? Hope you did not include those with "I-Better-Pass-My-Neighbour". ![]() In Buhari's 9ja well over 75% of the general population are poor. Middle class and average cannot be more than 20%. The rich should be around 5%: Politicians and cronies, big businessmen, big pastors, top looting officials/civil servants, etc. Of course the poor bear the brunt of economic and social problems. More vulnerable to crime (cannot erected fences and maiguard/guard dogs), cannot afford good health care and nutrition, poor education for their kids, suffer from salary delays and impact of inflation and policy somersaults, etc. |
kamsibabylove:Hmmmmm Ojigbijigbi. The guy is very .....BRAVE. ![]() My dear, you are not a good cheat. Lots of women cheat and never get caught. But then maybe it's only the three times your dude knew about that you admitted. What do I know? ![]() |

Anitaclassy:Ok let's chat. Pm me. |
adeyanwale5:Dude have you got replies for your proposed building? Dude reconsider if you need all the bathroom/toilets en-suite in every room. Useful if you intend to live in the house with a family for say next ten years. Or it is in a well-developed area to attract good rental income going forward. If not reduce building cost by building simpler. I'm talking from experience. |
AntiBrutus:They should tell our Arewa people to use their men as standard. ![]() |
FarahAideed:LOL. In an attempt to dig the country is falling deeper and now close to underground water table. ![]() |
These Northerners dey smart o. Just anything to hold on to SW. ![]() Common sense is not book sense o. Buhari is demonstrating it Tinubu. GOOD LUCK TO THEM. |
tiger28:Not everything should be said anyhow especially without proof. That said everyone knows that in naija rituals, visiting herbalists and fortune tellers are very common. And both the poor, rich and mighty do it. Even shady business ventures are not left out. |
Na wa o. |
In 9ja, we're very sanctimonious, hypocritical and products of failed social & education systems. Bigotry is never far away. Respect for individual rights is very low. We're at cross-roads: caught between our tradition of respect for elders and communal life AND aping Western lifestyle that we do not understand. At the end we're neither here nor there. Even modern religion we think make us better than others is practised with a massive dose of ignorance. Therefore it has little impact on morality or social advancement. |
