Interesting to hear the second reason Tinubu is not needed in Ondo: '"so that the peacemaker will not come and create problems". I would have expected something along the lines of "APC family in Ondo is waxing stronger and growing daily. However our national leader is always welcome in Ondo. His presence will surely delight our teeming members. A moral boost even". Or something positive like that. Not sounding as though he doesn't want Tinubu to come at all. Like he's very reluctant to address nagging issues within Ondo APC. |
MrRichy:So tell us more. Where and when did she go missing? If you can get update from others who know her. |
Matinho:Or maybe not. Maybe it was planned and they know where the girls are. They may just release the girls a few months from now, and use the momentum to head towards next election. This is 9ja. All that matters is power at the centre and oil money. |
Ah! Isha, they will soon accuse you of being Ipob o. Be careful. ![]() |

When travelling to any country, you consider the weather there as part of your preparation. Then pack your clothes accordingly. Indoor activities/meetings are fine with agbada. Stadium, open air stuff in winter certainly not. He just traveled unprepared like APC came to power without any tangible plan to take us forward. |
Xtopher123:Tor! The Chibok case had no such massive precedent. There were conflicting information all round. Intel had warned the governor of Bornu & security services of such a possibility but they didn't take it seriously because there were probably many rumours spreading locally about boko planning to do this or that. People forget that in 9ja, sifting facts from beer parlour gist can be very difficult. The president can only rely on what intelligence services & investigators have confirmed. We need to remember that until Chibok girls & Michelle Obama reacting with Al Jazeera/CNN/BBC and others storming Nigeria, Buhari never condemned Boko Haram. He was so silent that Boko even appointed him as their negotiator. Even with hindsight of Chibok girls, it has taken FG a week. Imagine how long the very slow Buhari would have taken pre-Chibok. APC/Buhari politicized a terrorist disaster to get to power. |
oladeleabbey:Perambulate and still dey same same place: Fela. |
UNIQUEISRAEL:Idiosyncrasies, sir. |
Hehehehe! So the so called kidnappers will just gather the girls in one open field, dancing and singing and waving at NAF aircraft to come to them. Na wa o. ![]() This country na comedy central. This is a case of Frankenstein's Monster. |
MhizAJ:Pele. Edo men do not fall mugu easily to supply you with money just because you are a woman and have a vaginas. I understand your pain. Try other tribes Na. No need telling us about it. |
AccessME:Most embezzle money at work and take what is not theirs. So your submission is Chinese to them. That is the moral decay laced with tribalism that prevails in 9ja. They are blaming one whose money was stolen. Any one has the right to use legal means to recover lost property. Juju is not illegal in Nigeria. You cannot impose your religious beliefs or ideals on others. It is individual freedom. One imbecilic lady on the thread labels all Edo men as stingy. But I have not heard Omotola or Mercy Johnson accuse their hubbies as stingy. Nigeria has a long way to go because the youths are more tribalistic and corrupt than our current looters. There is something called divorce if the man is violent. |
contigiency:It ia actually true. OBJ had control of intelligence service so knowing of Yar'Adua's health problem was easy as cake. Odili & Yar'Adua were both members of governors forum. So Yar'Adua would have known of his domineering attitude and relative flamboyance. OBJ having just survived the machinations of VP Atiku knew that the worst thing a president needs is a very wealthy, cunning & ambitious VP. He probably asked Yar'Adua who he really wanted one-on-one. Or advised him about the kind of VP he should pick. He might have advised him that picking an Ijaw would help him assuage MEND/militants compared to an Ikwerre man. OBJ knows the Southern dynamics far better. All along OBJ kept his card close to his chest. ![]() Anyway you see it, OBJ managed to play a fast one on Ali. |
Very sad! Mental health issue is widespread in 9ja. Mental health care is poor or non-existent in many places. |
Good tour. |
adaoshi:But they later claimed several things: (1) That GEJ govt refused help (2) That they could not trust NA not to disclose intelligence gathered to Boko. Basically they knew where Chibok girls were but kept the info to themselves and did not rescue. And these are people we call friends. ![]() They were in cahoots with Obama to take power back to the North. UK has always been in support of the North, from rigging pre-independence election to inflating Northern population figures. So much was admitted by their colonial officials decades later. Na their way. |
lilprinze: ![]() I still remember Buhari saying on TV that African neighbours (who by the way have Boko operating in them) helping us fight Boko was a national disgrace under GEJ. Now he should kukuma beg UK to come recolonize us. Failure of the highest order. |
sonofluc1fer:Nor be small thing o. Opium of the masses really messed up people's psyche. In a way I do not really blame them. Life in 9ja has been tough. They just need hope. MoGs exploited/exploit the opportunity. |
GreenVILLETiPS:"Dorty" mind. ![]() Go let your neighbour catch you with Ekaette or Idongesit. ![]() |
Haganah:9ja is a messed up country. So called leaders awarded oil blocs and contracts to cronies, relatives and girlfriends. Let her be yarning rubbish there. |
Geetrix:My brother I wonder o. Nobody owes us anything. We've had nearly 60 years to get our house in order but we didn't. I remember the days when we had some Pakistani foreign students who rented a flat in our street. They came from Pakistan to 9ja to study. If we decided to retrogress, na our wahala. I have been telling people for about ten years to only come to UK to study and return home. There were already signs things would get tougher then. If UK could vote to leave EU primarily to avoid EU migrants (about 95% are their fellow Caucasians), why do you think they send any darkie any message? |
jemimafelix:You believe everything you hear. Who delayed those senators wherever they were holding a meeting? How was the plan hatched? ![]() So you think SS/SE/PDP just suddenly pulled a fast one? That was the narrative the North wanted you to hear and you bought it hook, line & sinker. I remember SW people saying Saraki will not last 6 months as senate president. At that time I said as a Yoruba Northerner the biggest position he can achieve is SP. SW people were saying with patience Tinubu could one day have supported him for the presidency. A big lie of course. They said CCT trial win soon find him guilty and dismiss him from SP position. But Saraki knew without skills core North & SW will not allow him. And the makeshift party that is APC might scatter in a few years, denying him the platform to ever achieve anything as big as SP going forward. I also said then that Oloye would be proud looking down from heaven. He played it perfectly. The North appearing to be innocent. Yet showing Tinubu & Buhari one finger. But Buhari soon liked the idea of his cabal using Saraki to cut Tinubu to size. What you may not know is that operators around Buhari tabled Tinubu issue even before the election to work out how to tame him should they win. ![]() If Buhari's cabal truly wanted Akume, he would have won. But they didn't. |
Who knows? It could be hybrid of the future. Religious intolerance sorted. It could become a hit in SW. Where many already do both separately but concurrently. |
Ok |
Achorise:His immediate followers should have benefited first. Was Peter the Rock as head of the church rich? Or Luke or Matthew or James? Paul even gave up his lucrative tent making/military supplies business with the Roman army to become a missionary. Please do not make up things. No man can serve two masters. |
This is only news these days. Way back parents were concerned about their sons breaking leg playing football and become cripple. Beating was normal for disobedience. Parents wanted their sons to be medics, engineers, lawyers, etc. That is why most footballers were from poor homes. Many even street boys without much parental control at home. Football saved some from ending up in jail. Maybe the prison officer is not a football fan. ![]() |
transformed:I doubt if you understand or know Oyegun one-hundredth as good as me. You're talking of NADECO that only came in 1994. I knew people around Oyegun way before he even became governor. When he was just a civil servant. Let me not talk about knowing him or not. Because many people claim anything in a faceless forum. We all know that APC will find a fall guy. Oyegun seems convenient. What you simply forget is that Saraki becoming senate president was the North deftly beginning to cut Tinubu to size. The moves of Buhari and Northern elite should have made you realise it. It was "Lagos people from Tinubu camp" who were crying over Saraki emergence. In my opinion Saraki has been good for the senate. The NASS has been more vocal like the days of Okadigbo. That is their job to hold the executive to account. Tinubu didn't get his stooge in that he could use to further personal interest and get what he wants from Buhari. Having failed to secure VP slot being a Muslim. Talking of progressive, there is nothing progressive about Tinubu or APC. Not in NADECO days, not now. Yes he's skilled in the backward ethno-religious political terrain of Nigeria and propaganda. No progressive politician anywhere in the philosophy of Pa Awo would hand the presidency to a feudalistic Fulani ex-dictator. APC was always an alliance of strange bedfellows to wrestle power. Hence they do not know what to do with it. Oyegun has even done a decent job considering he's an outsider/a minority trying to balance entrenched interests of the North & SW. He was never going to win or please any side. |
afroniger:I would put it differently. Tinubu supported Oyegun believing that being older and more cool-headed, he'd be more predictable, more malleable & less ambitious than Tom Ikimi. To be his stooge. But Oyegun has sought to look at the bigger picture. Suddenly Tinubu began criticizing publicly and frustrating him for not doing his bidding. It is no secret that Tinubu has wanted Oyegun to fail as national chairman for a long time. Former Tinubu boys in the cabinet like Fayemi & Fashola have seen the trick long ago. Tinubu is emboldened to publicly go after Oyegun for the same reason that he first allowed zoning of national chairmanship to South-South. Oyegun represents a minority tribe and has a smal political base. Therefore bashing him publicly has no big electoral consequence in the ethno-religious number game of Nigerian politics. That is why Tinubu treads carefully dealing with El-Rufai even though he knows the midget is his arch foe in politics. He cannot upset the large Northern political bloc. But SW & North should know that given the history of SS people navigating the minefield political terrain dominated by WAZOBIA until SS emerged, no politician from SS is a total fool. They have to be smart to survive. Same way Obasanjo got frustrated by the quiet and unassuming Jonathan. He helped wrestle power from Jonathan but today most Nigerians are regretting the result at leisure. Hopefully they will have till 2023 to reflect under Buhari. ![]() |
kenir: ![]() You get "dorty" mind gan gan. That's why you thought negative of it. To me a house girl represents the poorer class of people in 9ja. The madam represents the rich/better off class. A madam that would not have been that beautiful is she hawked guguru at Bariga, would look very clean indeed in a mansion with money to burn. But a naturally pretty house girl, especially with a wicked madam, we might not see her beauty shining through. |
Madeu:But that argument is very weak. In developed countries the poorest get social benefits weekly or monthly. For all their children. Including free education, healthcare, housing, etc. Until the age of 16 and sometimes beyond. Those Western societies (except extremely few) also do not need more kids, especially ones that parents cannot care for because of the very high cost. But those countries know that it is the innocent kids that will suffer. Also that such deprived kids will have poor life prospects and higher chances of contributing to massive social problems. Remember that a government that cares has a far better chance of its citizens taking part and heeding public enlightenment programs and messages therefrom. |
waterhouse071:Na poverty my brother. Many house girls fine pass madam but money will make madam be looking fresh. Polish up the house girl and you see a photo model. |

Ordinary 2k and he's using juju on someone's daughter
All you wrote is just a figment of your imaginagion. Tinubu supoorted Oyegun because of his previous progressive stance and their history together in NADECO...maybe you should go and read about Oyegun, and you will know that nobody will expect him to be a stooge or malleable, but instead you expect him to stand for the right thing and not be influenced by money especially during APC primaries...Oyegun antecedent and Ikimis are parallels... Oyegun helping install Saraki and the worst governor ever is the first sign of the direction he chose. Every reasonable individual knows that Oyegun is doing a very bad job, infact APC as a party will explode very soon...another example of the party leadeship failure is the appointment of dead people into boards... I dont see Tinubu attack on Oyegun as a bad thing considerinv the pit Oyegun is gingerly cruising the party into
