mikeycharles: Of course, UK doctors (specialists in treating "anaemia and hale & hearty" diseases would really see a positive change in their bank balance. Also the UK Airport where Nigerian Air Force One is parked for 49 days, 103 days and so on in a row. Change indeed. Not! |
I see two victims here: the poor baby & Hindatu herself. A child of 15 should not be marrying but going to school. At 17 she should still be in education, not bearing kids & suffering from domestic violence, the intrigues of a polygamous home and such things a developing child cannot cope with. |
Good job. |
centboy123456:Germany too. Was visiting there and called 9ja with Lyca. Same happened. Some people here claim no need to use sim, that WhatsApp is used now. For me calling elderly relatives with the poor quality WhatsApp sound is just not on Some just express their ignorance and bitterness anyhow. |
How close to 4th mainland Bridge to come? |
dammy13:Correct. Goodies promised U-16 football winning side in 1985 are yet to be fully released. Among many others. Nor be today. |
mrvitalis:Where things work properly your idea would make sense. Road taxes are paid abroad. And govts are very accountable. OBJ spent around $20bilion on roads and yet no results. Also consider affordability of 10k monthly to an average civil servant. In addition to having to fuel his gen and provide his own water, pay his kids' medical bills and others due to govt irresponsibility. Govt needs to do things properly first with the what they have now. And citizens will pay if they can expect real goodies. But while spending scarce resources on govt officials medical trips, people would be very sceptical. |
Thriller Smooth Criminal Beat it Saw him perform these songs in a concert before many indomie kids were born. Jackson at his Zenith then. |
GavelSlam:I does too. Not as frequently as with Lebara maybe. Naturally suspicious/mistrusting Nigerians just think you are in Nigeria but just lying. Very embarrassing. Why would I call you with a 9ja number and then lie to you? They may think your attempt to conceal the local number failed. I do not know. There was a case where there were rumours that a guy was probably deported. That he now calls with local phone numbers "forming abroad". And the guy was doing his own thing in UK jeje. One friend once called me back immediately just to confirm if I was really abroad. Despite my previous explanation that it happens sometimes. I'm sure there are other cases where people you call just shake their heads after the call like "so because I'm not abroad, this guy can just call me from 9ja here and claim to be abroad". They won't even tell you that they saw a local number. And then hold it against you without you knowing. |
Well, even Jesus' death was plotted by people who were his kilt & kin. A trusted disciple Judas Iscariot was a key plotter. But we all remember how Iscariot ended up. |
Radiohead6:People just quote religious stuff out of context. Pure ignorance is the reason. |
Nice. |
blackbeau1:God bless you my dear. |
Fact is no child needs to go through this just to pay school fees or feed. We have a wack political class who care not about the masses. |
Na wa o. Money & evil. |
HopeAlive14:Amen. |
Ugosample:Life expectancy in Nigeria is 52 years old. Compare to America that is nearly 80 depending on gender. That should tell the whole story. |
Ugosample:Life expectancy includes all genders. African figures are low partly due to high childhood mortality rates. If I am not mistaken life expectancy is slightly higher in men in 9ja than women. True we have more elderly widows than widowers. But those widowers are those who survived through childbearing age. Because maternal mortality rates are still high. I guess female life expectancy is much reduced in 9ja because of Northern Nigeria. VVF in underage women is a big issue there and maternal mortality is high. At least according to international reports over the years. |

Samirana360:Obaze is a common name in Anioma. Name of Benin/Edo origin of course. Other common Anioma names of Edo origin are Irabor, Isibor, Igbinoba ( several Deins/Obis of Agbor were called Gbenoba/Igbinoba in the past), Osifo, etc Considering Onitsha is part of Anambra North, just across from Anioma, not a big surprise. Several accounts points to founding of Onitsha by people from or linked to ancient Benin Empire in the 1500s. See Wiki on Onitsha. But with modern Nigeria with tribal and secessionists tendencies, such debates about links to Benin Empire quickly generate into bigotry instead of trying to learn & explain. |
ubest1:Of course Amaechi their saint. After all he used used Rivers millions of dollars to out-bribe Atiku and secured APC delegates' vote for Buhari's presidential candidacy. |
great tips |
Ezionye:Typically men begin having kids later in life. Usually they die earlier too. Far fewer men live to see great-grand kids while still enjoying good health to pose happily like this. I thought we were talking about a Nigerian lady and her four generations family. . |
Phaanie:As of now what has not fallen apart? Oil & gas is what keeps Nigeria on life support machine. Take that out and nothing left. |
RIP |

omenkaLives:Only problem is that if new ones come in, it will be a new bunch of hungry people eager to loot too. Let's hope the current crop have looted enough and might just begin thinking of actually doing one or two things for the masses. Even just use to justify their time in office in the future. But if completely new ones, they will know that their chances of being in the position beyond May 2019 are extremely low, so they will just use the next 21 months to fill their pockets. ![]() Funny that the minister saints that took ages to select are now being considered for reshuffle or sack. If moved around, they will use many months to get used to their new terrains. Just when they need to focus on delivering where they already are before middle of 2018. After that it will be campaign and re-positioning for power going to 2019. |
But of course. In the right environment 99% do the right thing. But Nigerian environment tends to punish good behaviour and rewards bad one. See how they were calling Jonathan clueless for largely following due process and rule of law. |
odigbosky:Oh thanks. I did not even know that he has travelled that far already. A large number of Benin monarchs over the centuries had Esan mothers. Not today have those pretty ladies from that zone been highly desirable for marriage. ![]() |
Dee60:You are joking, right? Who use the body parts for ritual mostly? The rich and influential people. Who are the victims? The poor. When has our govt ever taken issues concerning the poor seriously?? |
tochieee:You mean like the Edo people who live around Okija forest, littered with corpses, bah? |
ettybaba:He pass Aprilweather sef. ![]() If only he uses punches to earn his keep legally. |
