So Buhari's regime has brought artificial thieves out of their dens too. ![]() |
Nice & educative. |

In 9ja, the more you look, the less you see. Why not just open a centre where intending Boko members can deposit their families for good care from Borno SG before going off to Sambisa? |
[quote author=Rich4god post=49424499]Not surprised.... My friend whose uncle works in one of the north western states was telling me how the state govt through its commissioner for agriculture shared among themselves millions of nairas that FG recently sent to the state as intervention funds for farmers.... Most of the money are now kept as fixed deposit while some used theirs to buy properties.... Then one begins to wonder how come our farmers are still using hoes with all the monies that FG share to them.... Na wa o. Under a govt that swept to power bearing anti-corruption toga. Body language has no effect on them. Instead of APC/Buhari to just accept that corruption is just a way of life now, with their own elite among the most corrupt, they blame it all on GEJ. Then come up with a comprehensive plan to fight it. Non-selectively. But what am I saying? They cannot fight themselves. They can only fight political opponents. That double standard, hypocrisy and cynicism make their fight dead on arrival. |
gozmok1:Inept clowns. By far more clueless than the man they jumped upandan to call clueless. ![]() |
Now, ask me why one would not set up a small scale garri processing plant including fryer/dryer for this lady. Assuming she marries a supportive guy to make her turn it into business. She's even finer than most mgbeke people that refuse to lift a finger. |
domchido2:True. |
eyeview:Buhari thinks this is a new move. Lol. If there is any presidential prerogative he can trigger to constitutionally sideline Houses of Assembly having to vote on it, then he should. If not, it is dead on arrival. It will be another exercise in futility. What we need is a wholesale civilian constitution, not one left by military. States/regions and LGAs all need their autonomy. Taking power from State & giving to LGAs is just a coded way of FG controlling LGAs more directly. Because FG can now directly play the funny game SGs are playing with LGA monies now. |
So Guinness will now be exporting Umqombothi from 9ja to SA? I don't think Yvonne Chaka Chaka will like this. ![]() |
Funny question. ![]() It is because those top guns are the ones doing the downsizing. It is their job to keep business profitable and it is a lot of responsibility. It is unfair but would you downsize yourself in their position? |
Well, next time I will just cook my food by myself. If she does not learn quick, the relationship will not reach the next level. It will raise the question how prepared she is to nourish a family. I can eat outside, but can the kids be eating charcoal at home? ![]() |
henrydadon:Death has become very cheap in 9ja. People are becoming immune to it. Death of "those other evil people" has become accepted. Nobody is talking of using minimal reasonable force to disarm and arrest them for trial in court. No, nobody. Sadly, this unintentionally prepares people for war and pogrom. You just add ethnicity & religion to it. And massive killings can then follow as happened in Rwanda. We all should worry about the future. |
Can recording be stored remotely? I mean robbers can enter premises and cart away the recording devices along with the recorded evidence. So can the images be stored in a server hundreds of kilometers away in real time at no extra cost? Thanks. |
VolTOxic:Guys, let us be honest with ourselves. I like honest people like the OP. Those who say it as it is, instead of saying what we want to hear. The lady said it is the "Nigeria truth". Now let's analyse that. What percentage of 9ja women get by relying on men for virtually all their needs or parts of their needs? What percentage of 9ja women hold that same view whether "codedly" or overtly? What percentage do not hold any official view but still depends on men for school fees, hairstyle, smartphones, house rent and other needs? How many women have been lifted out of poverty by just marrying the "right guy"? Now flip it around ask what percentage of Nigerian men do the same. ![]() If you use social media platforms like fb, Instagram and others as a guy, you will know how brazen many women have become requesting for money from guys. Even some even engaged and married ones, without their men knowing. Fact of the matter is that millions of women are in a similar situation as the client couple OP mentioned. To different degrees. So, to do as though it is something unusual what I find surprising, not what was posted. Whether that is the right mentality is a different matter. And there are many others such our acceptance of mediocrity, bribery/corruption, sex for favours (boss-female staff, lecturer-female student), inflation of contract prices, tribalism, lack of accountability, living above our means, abuse of power, police brutality, etc. |
yd849ja:PMB has never been & can never be the right candidate for even LGA chairmanship. At no point will he never be one. Like most so called leaders we have had. First a coup plotter who ra.ped the will of the people is a pariah in saner climes. The reasons Buhari is there are (1) he first became dictator HoS through coup and that gave him prominence. He got it through an act of high treason. (2) Corruption: funded by Amaechi & others. (3) Ethno-religious politics & power grab: Tinubu & co wanted someone that has the ethno-religious status to use to grab power. Ribabu did not quite have that gravitas last time, so they tried Buhari. Nigerians amaze you because you have little grasp of Nigeria's political history. The reason the right or your ideal people never got a chance to lead is that Nigeria was never set up to succeed as a nation. Right from 1914. We have already had a civil war & a state of cold war has existed since. We were optimistic decades back but alas all got worse with national cohesion. If you have not reached a certain age, by all means, be optimistic as we were. Naivety can be bliss. But you will be wiser 10 or 20 years from now. ![]() |
Nice |
sarrki:Good question. Those fit for the job are not even in the political terrain right now. Aside maybe BRF. This has been our misfortune since 1950s, even before independence. We kept shooting ourselves in the foot by somehow getting Balewa instead of Awo, Shagari instead of Awo or even Aminu Kano or Maitama Sule, OBJ instead of Alex Ekwueme or Olu Falae, Yar'Adua instead of Donald Duke. But at least we did not get Ibori instead of GEJ. ![]() GEJ whatever his flaws consolidated our democracy. If we can keep it so is another question. Until we can further consolidate our democracy in which gentle and responsible people are no more called clueless, we will keep having draconian strongmen dictatorial demagogues at the top. |
Buhari will always be an economic failure. The man has no business running a country. Draconian policies and somersaults with economy have nothing in common. He can run a military regiment at best. Brace yourselves for the worst. Those who foolishly brought him to power like this liar Lai will never admit their mistake. Instead they have condemned Nigerians to suffer the consequences. |
hmmmmm |
Lol. True |
RIP NYSC is now another Sambisa war front. Too many deaths. For how long will it continue? |
Lol. Buhari: The Blamer-in-Chief. ![]() |
2dugged:OK. You're a big girl. It takes a big lady or guy to apologize. Some would have kept quiet instead of admitting her error. By the way, Izon people have been an important part of Benin Empire. They were the Ozigue (seafarers) that were important in transporting Benin imperial soldiers along the sea to coastal areas. Including Lagos Island to Establish EKo and found the Royal family of Lagos. If they were Edo indigenous Ijaws, I'd not deny them, no matter their misdemeanor. |
bluestone2015:True. That abroad based guy that was murdered in cold blood by his lawyer wife in Ibadan could have benefited from this advice for sure. |
igboboy3:Well, maybe. After all men too are not perfect. Some may well be for just fun, no ready to settle down yet. I think it is good to know your ability, what you can do & when you do it. But many of the "unserious" men you talk of are just testing the waters. Some soon find that behind the sexy attractive exterior is a very questionable character. Just because you do not want to be seen as "unserious" does not mean you have to tolerate the first rude, uncultured, selfish, greedy, egoistic, clingy, impatient girl with inordinate sense of entitlement who brings nothing to the table except to spread her legs. No no no. That was in the past. My advise for my female friends searching is to tell them things about them that a guy may not like. That is a coded way of saying "honestly babe, I know roughly why men do a runner, I'd do same". But most blurt out the tired line "any guy who truly loves me has to accept me the way I am". Like seriously? Even the almighty God that is infinitely benevolent still requires us to be born again first. |
Goldenheart:I have many friends from 28 and above complaining of no man. Very serious matter. Some getting quite desperate. |
Who get time? Fact is there are many less busy ladies out there too. And still run own business or work successfully. Who will see a girl that spends 90% of her life locked away in the office, inside her car in traffic or in her house? Ladies are generally not exactly scarce, are they? Many girls carry unfriendly frown faces about. Who wants somebody dressed with a 300k attire but carries sadness about? |
