Ok. Those who stole from their state to fund federal election have no case to answer as long as they are APC members, right?

First of all, northerners never ruled for 40 years, Jack booted soldiers trained to kill and destroy did.

1. The North and SW are in alignment economically and politically, some of the biggest businessmen in Lagos are northerners who have synergized productively with their SW counterparts (Dantata, Dangote, BUA, Otedola, Otudeko, Rahamanniya etc.) There is no problem with bridge building between the North and South, and the greatest political alliance in Nigeria today is between northerners and southerners (APC), however a fundamental problem lies with the unity of the SE with almost every other region in Nigeria.

2. What is the sense behind the statement that Northern masses are being deceived to not see a 'faulty' structure? How? That sounds like ****.

Would the structure cease being faulty once northerners lose their political dominance (which itself is a product of southern disunity)? You amuse me.
Northern political dominance to whose advantage? Worth is the value or use of it to the average Northern teacher or nurse in Sokoto, Birnin Kebbi. Bauchi or Zaria? Very little.
Dominance is not what we need but a configuration that makes people do more for themselves.

I see no reason why the governor of Sokoto or Akwa Ibom cannot be allowed to run the police force to secure his state.
People at State level are closer to their people.

Right now, we can accuse them of corruption, but they can blame central govt for their own failures. Because Fed has too much power, which it is incapable of dispensing properly.

Are we suddenly divided because of herdsmen who are nothing but murderous criminals that have been existing under previous regimes, but whose recent acts were politicised and amplified?

Are we suddenly divided by the activities of criminal militants in the South who have been quiet for the past few years, but whom have suddenly resumed their destructive criminality?

Are we suddenly divided because people who were screaming for Jona to rule a united Nigeria till 2019, suddenly want a break up because they didn't get their wish?

The answers are yes. The country is divided because some people are seriously trying to vomit the political humble pie that the APC fed them over a year ago.

In other words, sore losers worsened sectarianism, not APC.
It is not that simple.

But to me, GEJ losing was the best thing that happened. Not because he did not try a bit or because he was the most corrupt. No. IBB & Abacha hold that record.

But because if things were half as bad economically as now, or Chibok girls were still not back, 9ja might be in flames by now.

In any case, I believe in a single term presidency of maximum 6 years only. No need to loot money for re-election. GEJ did 5 years plus and that's enough.
Remember that GEJ did more projects in the North. More universities, hundreds of Almajiri schools & boosted fertiliser supply & agric, etc.

I cannot see what Southerners lost with GEJ out of power, or what Northerners gained in the 40 years Northerners have ruled.

The main reasons are likely:
(1) Nigeria has no proper bridge builders on both sides. Those supposed to build bridges rather burn bridges to consolidate oil wells, power, influence and ego.

(2) Nigeria has a faulty structure. Something that surprisingly to me, Northerners don't see, because Northern elite (who like Southern elite are there for their own pockets) deceive them. The very diverse groups that make up 9ja don't have enough space for self-expression & development. North, East, SW & SS will all gain. The presidency need not do too much, with the current top-down system.
The most developed countries are largely ones with a true Federal System: USA, Germany, Switzerland, increasingly UK, etc.
When people feel imprisoned, they will increasingly want to break out.

(3) Our leaders have no faith or hope in 9ja: so their kids go abroad for education, they fly abroad for medical care, they stash stolen monies abroad and buy up the most price inflated properties in the most desirable parts of London, NY, Paris, Potomac/Maryland, Marbella/Spain, Dubai, etc. With our money o. No genuine patriots.

And more reasons of course.

Politics › Re: Boko Haram: 10 Presidents Meet In Abuja by AreaFada2: 8:38am On May 15, 2016
APC worsened sectarianism to get into power.

Problem is that the country is very divided now.
The division in 9ja is much worse than economic and other problems. Economic issues might improve with time but division can become deep-seated and ingrained.

I remember as a kid, if we saw a Mallam, he was seen as an epitome of piety & honesty. And this in a 99% Christian place. If he said anything, nobody doubted him.

Now when you see a Mallam, people shift and suspect him of being Boko Haram.

We also used to welcome those Hausa wandering perfume & ointment sellers. Dates back to over 70 years, as they became friends with granddad who had travelled & lived in the North as a young man. The Hausa traders would be doing ablution around the place.

In fact, we got used to eating halal, so they could partake, even after granddad was long gone. All in a few short decades.

That kind of unity is dead now.

I have not heard of people on planet earth who are carefully, dangerously and extremely wicked like most Nigeria's past leaders. Some of the properties bought by these demons in the UK are even too expensive, if there were to be built here in Nigeria. Let a lone the multiplier effect of those properties to the lives of the ordinary Nigerians.

These people where born and raised in Hell.

I can't believe what am hearing.
Look, the reality is that over 95% of our so called leaders do not believe in the Nigerian project. They have no hope or faith in 9ja. They see it as a failed project. Never mind their posturing or forming patriots.

They show it at every opportunity: send kids abroad to study, go abroad to treat even catarrh, give birth abroad, do their kids weddings abroad, when they shoot themselves in the foot by mistake, they are flown abroad/to Dubai for treatment. All along using money taken from 9ja commonwealth.grin cheesy

Like them or loathe them, they usually know more than the average citizens on the street. They know why they have no belief or faith in 9ja.

Why should child marriage be seen as normal in the 21st century, to the point of dying for it? Or is it just a one-off thing?

As for cousin marriage, many cultures practice it. Although I find it bad for gene pool scientifically.

Even Queen Elizabeth II of England & Prince Philip are cousins.

In Pakistan & Bangladesh, first cousins marrying is normal. Even my Togolese friend said some parts of Togo practice same.

That is usually bacterial vaginosis (BV) infection. If not pregnant, it's not usually of concern aside the embarrassment.
Surprisingly, it's not caused by being unclean. Quite the opposite.

It is by trying to be too clean: using womanliness deodorant, douche, antiseptic in bathe, etc.
These will destroy the usual vaginal flora.

Many ladies need to know that over washing their down below with lots of medicated soap is not good for vaginal health.

I never hail polical thieves. Check my comments above. I'm enjoying the chat, I can see that you are not really a person with strong opinion or will. So do your menial jobs and come and enjoy the company of little prostitutes in Nigeria, but be ware HIV is still 3.1% prevalence here in Nigeria. I may not like your short sightedness and self centeredness but I still care for your health.
I think you're the shortsighted one because of your poor exposure and narrow horizon.

No I don't. I'm proud of menial jobs I did, it even gave me the experience needed for school admission, proof of commitment to healthcare.

Among whites, everything is stage by stage. When you complain of rude doctors or wicked nurses in 9ja, it's because some never had any commitment to healthcare to begin with. They got in because they had the grades, had long leg or parents wanted them to. Majority would never prior care for a disabled or elderly person, support a dying person or oversee storage of dead bodies. So you have a place of misplaced priorities and people in jobs for the status.

I think your obsession is with the menial jobs people do. Even native born oyinbo do menial jobs. It's only in Africa people frown at honest job because of low status. But worship criminals with money.

Does 9ja even have jobs, let alone menial jobs? Are hundreds of thousands of able-bodied youth not roaming the street? I know you're one of those jobless youths dreaming of hitting it big without hard work. Keep dreaming.

Whatever jobs people do & afford them happiness and a decent living, you can keep eating panadol for their headache, they won't mind you.

I have no need for prostitute. But folks do and nothing you can do about it. Fact is your girl would qualify as a prostitute. Your HIV prevalence is closer to 8-10%. grin grin

I deal with reality daily. We have gay men who sleep raw with gay men (strangers) and present within 72 hours for PEP. Knowing fully well they could contract HIV. That is life.

I can never be envious of a quitter and I don't think studying abroad is wrong. But the hopelessness pessisimism and loser mind you have is bad for development. Contrary to your selfish opinion I believe in the Nigerian project whole heartedly , it will happen perhaps not in our lifetime but with our contributions no matter how meager. If 75% of Nigerians will migrate to greener pastures in Europe and North America count me among the 25% who will stay on and support Nigeria's development. My genuine prayer and God is listening is that " oh Lord the creator of heaven and earth, the all mighty , the Lord of Abraham and Moses the sovereign of the universe I ask in your mighty name that I stay in Nigeria and continue to use my education and qualifications including my UK and U.S. Qualifications for the development of Nigeria and for the betterment of its people. Or god you created me and you know what is deep in my heart and my desire to live in Nigeria and contribute my best, I ask you to support me and to maintain that position and achieve no matter how little in that direction. Keep me away oh Lord from the lewd opinion of quitters like Areafada2 whose life achievement is defined around self comfort ,the origin of which they had no investment in.oh Lord grant my prayer, accept my supplication. If i have to live in another country my Lord let it be for the service of Nigeria. God are all knowing and all hearing , grant me this request." I pity those quitters , I do not envy them.
You are so bitter and in so much misery to know how much investment and employment $25 billions remitted yearly create.

Or how many houses each diaspora person puts up in Nigeria, millions of medical bills and school fees paid from abroad. Or how much businesses are started for relatives with foreign remittances. You should unleash your anger on your leaders who take your billions abroad, instead of diaspora people who return money to 9ja. But hey, suffering damages brain function and logic. So I understand your plight.

After working hard to fund my education, I should return to a country that has no value for the life of it's citizens, whether kidnap or armed robbery or accident victims. Wallow in your mediocrity there.

What is your investment in 9ja? Fantastically corrupt practices according to your leader.

I salute your optimism though, albeit pathetic, naive and unrealistic.

But then again, when you have no light, no fuel and no water, you have to make a career out of optimism. Otherwise you would have to simply hug a transformer on the rare occasions there's light.

Service of Nigeria ko, more like service of your pocket and a chance to have your share of "nossonal" cake. Like most supposed to help Nigerians that we know but punish their citizens for their own selfish interest.

The problem is those who have no iota of love for Nigeria form holy holy to get into position. That is where you are pinning your hopes. Good luck with that.

USA had already predicted 2015 breakup. Because they believed GEJ would win or follow the usual Nigerian trend and rig the election.

Funny enough, those who threatened to form a parallel govt took eternity to form a cabinet/govt after "winning" election. Because they never planned for governance, only how to foment trouble and crisis.
