AmNotADullard:Dude, when there is life there is hope. Some so wanted to live but died of accidents, diseases etc. So life is most precious. Possible reasons for your predicament: (1) You might have learning disability like dyslexia. In 9ja support for students with such a disability is almost non-existent. You might be extremely intelligent but reading and retaining info might come hard despite best efforts. Your condition possibly got worse with age, not unusual. Try seeing an educational psychologist or a similar learning expert. (2) You might be passionate about accounting but may not your strength academically. Poor performance in commerce, accounting earlier on should have alarmed you. I'm inclined towards (1) though. Because with so much effort, you should comfortably be in 2.2 range at this level. |
Impressive |
Problem with drink-driving is that people underestimate how much even a few glasses can worsen their neurological performance, worsening reaction time and ability to estimate distance and so on. |
glossy6:Maybe oga just likes it hot. ![]() Not removing bones is no biggie. The fish might just scatter in the soup if bones removed. You do ajebutter cooking removing bones. Which African man does not have "clever" piriform fossae (the bit of throat anatomy where fishbone normally gets stuck) to outmanoeuvre fishbone? ![]() Your oga na correct cook biko. ![]() |
Amusaopeyemi:Dear, I think Yoruba origin history has been over-simplified, though politically expedient for all from one tribe to seem to descend from one person, it cannot be historically factually proven. The story of Oduduwa coming from Mecca seems like we Africans like importing everything. Including ancestry. What evidence is there that Africans were not always in Africa? What is particularly Arabic about Ododuwa historically? Even Europeans now gradually accept that Mankind came from Africa. In Edo, the ancient history there is that Ododuwa was a banished Benin crown Prince called Ekaladeran. Wondering through the forest, he first reached Owo. Then Ife. Interestingly, Owo is about 70 miles West of Benin and Ife is about 70 miles West of Owo. Hence Ekaladeran entered Ife from the East. Upon being made ruler of Ife, he exclaimed "Ima d'oduwa". Meaning "I did not miss my destiny". Destiny here being a crown prince destined to be king in Benin but seemed lost after banishment. Though, Ekaladeran refused to return to Benin, he sent Oramiyan/Oranyan to Benin. Though Oranmiyan too didn't stay, he had left a son in Benin. The son became Oba Eweka I from whom all Obas of Benin since about 1169 AD descended. Yoruba people are very quick to dismiss the logical and physically possible Edo version, instead preferring the mythical, unscientific coming from Arabia. Yoruba scholars need to come up with a better, more scientifically credible version of Ododuwa. If not many young people like you (MissAmusa) will increasingly find this current version more and more confusing and implausible. Yorubas have lived in SW 9ja for at least 5000 years, Ododuwa cannot be biological father of all. Political/spiritual leader at most. I'm a descendant of Oranmiyan by the way. |
crackhaus:A gf living in another country hid a baby under a year from me before. Long story sha. Though lactation finally gave her away and she confessed. ![]() If not, she was ready to hide it for a long time, till possible marriage and beyond maybe. The main reason most ladies cannot hide it is that they usually have to care for the child and carry him/her about. My ex's kid was with her mum (kid's grandma). Not because the will or desire is less if it will make them more eligible for courtship/marriage. |
nice |
A lot of guys can cook reasonably well. Many just stop cooking after marriage. Girls have been surprised by my cooking in the past. Downside is that you're hard to please "cuisinically". ![]() You find a lot of food too salty, overcooked/undercooked and so on. Cooking skills among both sexes have worsened in my opinion despite more cookery books and TV programmes. |
ojeota:Very common thing in 9ja. We simply over-furnish. We crowd parlour/lounge with furniture like a shop. ![]() I don't use centre table for example. I use small side tables that can be stowed away if not needed. No matter how small any parlour might be, I chose furniture carefully to make it appear bigger. |
maadman:It's culture. Every continent and country has it. It may not make scientific sense but that's it. It's a mark of respect across many countries. In Japan you don't give or receive with left hand either. Kimiko Date, now Kimiko Date-Krumm, was a naturally left-handed tennis player. Her grandmother forced her to use right. She reached several semi-finals, including French opens & Wimbledon. She might have done better if allowed to use her natural left hand. |
TonyeBarcanista:If they do, SC will have last word. |
TonyeBarcanista:Unless INEC cancels the whole election, Faleke has every right to become governorship candidate. They cannot transfer already cast votes to a fresh candidate. I guess the supreme court will not accept it. APC should do the right thing, not ethnic or religious consideration. |
Divinehenrich:You're right. Her husband probably suffered to give her the good life she has now. The man won't have such disdain for the poor. She probably doesn't lift a finger. |
Shey they are enjoying it. At least these kids realise early enough that in 9ja you're on your own. No basic amenities from govt let alone pool. ![]() |
Ok |
linearity:Let me say congratulations first. But I wonder for the salary o. Except there are other sumptuous benefits aside. Job must be really tough in 9ja if 125k per month is considered mouth watering. Anyway some earn 10k per month still. ![]() |
mrbillz:Fact is it is commonly eaten raw like most fruits, Mr crop scientist. ![]() |
RIP dude. |
People like to play tribal card in 9ja. Otherwise, despite her alleged sins, Stella Oduah as Minister of Aviation, would never stand akimbo and allow VA get away with this. |
Na siddon look we dey. Anyway, control of crude oil is where they wanted it now. Mission accomplished. |
RockMaxi:I wonder o. People do like they don't know. People forget that this is how Uthman dan Fodio used a ragtag army to over-run Hausa kings/kingdoms. He was the Shekau/Boko of that time. God forbid Boko carve out a caliphate in the North, history will be re-written in Boko/Shekau's favour, just like Fodio. It may surprise some people down south that some Northerners never really openly oppose Boko. It's not just fear, some truly believe that any means possible can be used to establish sharia. Fact. |
Oil money is talking. Carry go jor. Na una time. Shebi na turn by turn for "nassonal cake". ![]() |
banntin:Location? |
Skywalker5:Unfortunately, that's the attitude that Nigeria now promotes. Insults, rudeness, being loud, violence, jungle justice, etc. Any sign of gentleness or respect for law and order is called weakness & cluelessness. We see it here in atttude of many NLers. We see how they portray GEJ. Such people were at the bottom of the pile back home. And had/have no determination to succeed in a rather hostile foreign environment. It is tough. Some end up like this. Wherever they go. Just like we see across 9ja daily. |
ridax:Exactly which type of Tokunbo Engine and gear box are in it now? |
gen2briz:End time wedding! |
tpetos:Lol. Na work the guy give OP. ![]() |
Krucifax:N needs a more closer look nut it's there. All fairly easy. Just look carefully. |
Adebaba1:Just called you but nobody picked. |
Well, the rule is that you excuse the parent or guardian especially if it's a teenage girl you're dealing with. And assure him/her of confidentiality. Even more so when dealing with people from conservative religious/cultural backgrounds. The boy/girl is unlikely to tell the whole truth. Except of course in an emergency like ruptured ectopic pregnancy. I bet any parent would care whether it's physical or spiritual preggy in that potentially very dangerous situation. ![]() I don't know about 9ja parents though. They might refuse to leave the room. ![]() |
