dominique:A very good lesson in resource management. Stretches the money far. Why work hard for money and use "bigmanity" to give it away easily? |
bettercreature:In a jungle, being gentle is called weakness. Weep for Naija. |
flyingsnail:You nor bow. If I didn't know about the market, I would believe this funny story. How many people are employed by that street market? It is Nigeria shop owners and some other foreigners that will have less money. That could mean a slight reduction in the $12 billion dollars Nigerians abroad remit to Nigeria yearly. As for UK's $2.945 trillion economy, no dent at all. We should focus creating jobs and increasing our GDP per capital to increase disposable income and reduce poverty. Instead of putting sophisticated measures in place to fish out corrupt money, we also chose the lazy and poverty-creating blanket ban. State governments too lazy to introduce safety measures for commercial motorcyclists just did blanket ban. No consideration for ordinary citizens. |
Yes of course. Just be in pay roll, hospital or IT sections, etc. ![]() |
ALISMILE:Well, a wailer now buying petrol for 140 to 200 per litre has a right to wail even louder. We the wailing 5% cannot stand akimbo and watch people blame GEJ because they cannot get "attention" and their Mrs is unhappy. ![]() About time people start delivering what they promised. Blaming GEJ is a tired excuse now. ![]() |
PRYCE:El-Rufai is the unofficial VP, main special presidential adviser & currently most influential member of Kaduna Mafiosi. ![]() They managed to give SSG, ADC & Chief of Staff to Northerners. In emergency, those are key positions. We saw how Gen. J. T. Useni was outmanoeuvred by those present in Aso Rock when Abacha died. Even in democracy, with a gun to your head, you will renounce right to succeed as president. The tension between him & Osinbajo is due to that. El-Rufai sees himself as the rightful GMB's successor. Osinbajo is obviously an impediment. |
otimothy:I don't know about Edo connections. But remember that many Edo people disappeared into Yoruba in Eastern Yorubaland (Ondo/Ekiti) & to some extent in Lagos. One consequence of loss of Empire in 1897. Also, we hardly consider maternal lines when talking of tribe/ethnicity. You belong where your dad belongs. Who knows if he has any maternal links? |
otimothy:It's a cute name. In Edo it means "I didn't fall", "I'm spared humiliation" , God stood for me", and along those lines. |
Freemanan:You wonder how many kingpins, queenpins, chiefpins and commonpins Boko Haram get sef. ![]() We know propaganda is important in any war. Let's wait till 31/12/2015 to see if Boko has gone into cblivion. |
Ok o. |
Na 3 for the price of one? ![]() |
PussyFucker2:Here in France, we don't work at all. Everyday is Christmas. ![]() If I hear....... |
Bugatie:May not be pretty but healthy to eat. ![]() |
kaeforum:Well, oga rich man help me top it up na. Add 500k to "my" 500k and I'm sure Mr. Komek won't reject 1m if offered. Since you claim expertise, is it everyone who drives on the highway to need V6? What is the point of "power" if you're stuck in traffic gridlock daily? Have you not asked yourself why Highlander V6 of same year & quality costs more than this pilot? If you have too much money to dash, go ahead. I heard even Dangote is a hard bargainer, maybe one of his secrets. ![]() |
komek:Mr Komek, good day. You seem like quite a gentleman. Let's leave it at 660k. |
hotboz:You dey crays! ![]() |
teebaxy:Joke apart, I think we need an erudite & articulate person like our VP in the presidency. GMB should delegate a lot more media & international jobs to him. But those around GMB like El Rufai might not like it, because it could potentially make VP appear too powerful. As if he actually runs the govt like Tunde Idiagbon appeared then. But they need to find ways to use his talents properly. |
musicwriter:My friend which planet are you from? In 9ja who get time for science & research? How well funded are research institutes these days? Are talented scientists, engineers not working in banks or roaming the streets jobless? And many in academia not just enjoying juicy civil service perks, out of indolence or frustration? I regularly stumble across top quality research conducted at Uniben, IU, ABU, OAU, UNN, etc back in 1970s & 80s. I'm amazed by the quality of it, highest level then. Be it in malaria & other infections, child & maternal health, you name it. Even sociological & entertainment/cinematographical research. Hard to figure out how we fell so much behind. No, in 9ja, millions of common people can die, nobody gives a hoot. We're not ready to make progress yet, not ready. |
StephanieEzeh:You caught one guy sniffing your druss and you say MOST GUYS do it. Haba! I know English is not our native language but still. So if one day one sights a coursemate doing olosho in town, can one then conclude that most girls can't wait to leave classrooom to do olosho about town? Diaris Gurd o. ![]() |
Maximillian1:Maybe concubines and all come out to claim widow once an officer dies. Some with a healthy appetite for ladies can easily have 10 women each. ![]() Is it not easier to tell us the number of officers who died? Soon they will say there are 1.5 million orphans of police officers. ![]() Niger Area na wa. |
nice |
imas:Jet-setters. They need it na. ![]() |
walexsy:Lol, not killing for ritual again but for spare parts. Na wa o. Very exciting sha, wish I was there seeing it when it was done. |
Neatcarsonly:OP, are you so far from the car that you cannot post engine pic here? |
denkyw:My friend you nor tire. Na talk dem dey since March. Continuing the rail project is good. Elsewhere, Fashola wants to continue ongoing projects too. But that also means that the man they criticised so badly was doing something worth continuing. Sure Amaechi will want to take credit for the comatose rail system GEJ revived. We the wailing 5% won't just stand akimbo. Wish them good luck. |
Still waiting sir |
NoMoreTrolling:Dude, I'm a proud wailing 5%. But in serious climes, your profession has no bearing on the ministry you head. Doctors almost never head ministry of health. A prof or teacher never or rarely heads education ministry. Nigeria is such an abnormal place, hence emphasis on profession. A minister is the political head, supervising the ministry to deliver the party's political manifesto. The technical/professional people are in the ministry as civil servants or consultants. The noisemaker GMB called them is not really far from the truth. Only that the empty barrels make the loudest noise. ![]() Fash rightly deserves the "Super Minister" I have always said here on NL he should be made. |
Can Fash finally break the electricity & bad roads jinx? If anyone can, he's the man. |
Ttalk:The guy from Daura knows that in serious countries, Fashola should be president now. I always said here on Nairaland that Fashola should be "Super minister", and that's what he is now. Fash has a chance to show what he can do nationally. 2023 Fashola presidency loading........ |
chinchum:Nothing wrong with that actually. Certain rotten ministries can do with a minister and a minister of state (MoS). The MoS can be given a specific role within the ministry. Like to ensure refineries are working within a year. That will be his singular focus in the Ministry of Petroleum for now. Same can be done in Defence and Works ministries for Boko Haram & bad roads respectively. |

He didn't stay till his rent expired; he packed out to live with a cousin of his at the other side of town. He always avoided me on campus. I pity him sha; he was just silly
Perverts!
