Politics › Re: Is The Rule Of Law In Trouble? by Armaggedon: 10:45pm On Dec 30, 2015 |
baralatie: Security first based on the gravity of offence and the nature of the offender! An alien with a treasonable charge on his neck is not what you call bailable. what do you think u know about law and bail? Do u think ur ability to regurgitate nonsense u read from uninformed pple make u reasonable? The business of the executive is to charge percieved law breakers to court and execute punishment as pronounced by judiciary. Labeling offences as 'bailable' and 'non bailable' by your president is judicial interference. It can lead to suspension of ur country by international bodies |
Politics › Re: Salient Points Deduced From President Buhari's Media Chat Today - Must Read by Armaggedon: 10:30pm On Dec 30, 2015 |
morereb10: Hello Nigerians, it is indeed a wonderful time today with the No. 1 of this country in the honour of Mr. President Gen. Muhammadu Buhari on the Media Chat eared today. It is indeed an honour to be in the company of Mr. President. Alright wait, even though I wasn't in the same room with him, but from were i was watching (in my room with 3D Tv) it seems like i was with him and each time he is been asked question, i even feel the impact. Oboy, you sure say i fit be in front of the President at all? oh common I can but if he asked me any question, i go shit for my pant direct. hahahahah. No be joke ooo.
Their is something different with this President. I think he is quite different from what we use to know. Maybe because he was an Army Gen. Yes ! That's got it. or maybe be the awe around him. When he was answering the question of one of the Premium Times journalist, it seem to me like Buhari is even interrogating him, in fact from were i was sitting, i no go lie you, I felt so afraid for the man. I was just praying that he shouldn't say something that we get him detained immediately....lol. Oboy. But the Channels TV journalist was cool though and calm.
I now see were Gen. Buhari is coming from. When he was asked why the FG have done everything in their power to continuously disobey the order of the court if it doesn't favor the Government, his answer was straight forward and even though there are very good reason for what they have done and intend to do again and again and again but is not worth it. They can't just disobey the court just because they have good intentions.
In Buhari's word when he was asked why FG have continued to flaunt the order of the court in Dasuki's case:
How can we allow someone like NSA Boss Dasuki to take bail and travel to America for checkup while he was given ($40b or N40b i didn't remember exactly) for arms and he stole and shared the money while we have IDP's we need to feed and economy of Nigeria growing worst?
When asked about Pro-Biafra leader Nnamdi Kanu, he said:
Do you know that what he has committed is a treasonable felony? Do you know that he has two passports? He has British Passport and Nigeria Passport? And yet he didn't use any to enter this country when he was coming. Did you know also that he imported equipments that he wants to use to start his Biafra radio here in Nigeria? Do you know what he can cause in this country? Is that how you want me to run this country? To give felon bail to go?
I was really amazed on the way Mr. president was answering this questions. Just like he is the one interrogating the journalist....lol, it is very funny but any person or persons that wants to play with this man is really really in trouble. He seems upright, but politics always plays its part though but Buhari is a different man altogether, almost like a god. He is like - complete article on http://www.exlinklodge.com/2015/12/salient-points-deduced-from-president.html actually he is the most illiterate, uninteligent, ignorant, senile and confused president your country has ever produced. Imaging a president rantionalizing his decision to flout court order on the ground that kanu committed treasonable felony. So after charging him to court, feels he has powers to disagree with judges in cases and reverse court's decisions regarding bail. I thought he was a mere dullard but i just discovered he reasons like an animal whose brain is not fully evolved. Mark my words there may be armed conflict soon |

Tolatutu: @TonyeBarcanista could you please do a thread helping to explain court order because it's clear that many don't understand. They seem to think that makes him immune to getting charged for another offense. That court order was only relating to those charges brought to that court and in no way stops the DSS from charging him for other offenses which is what they've done. I would love to hear you break it down DSS brought him to federal high court, the court ordered his immediate and unconditional release. The dss not only disobeyed the order but re arraigned him in the same federal high court whose order it disobeyed. Now kalu's objection was that 'he has lost confidence in the court' which means the court allows the dss to disobeyed it's order and expects only him to obey orders(which is not fair). In effect the court should discontinue with the trial till dss is forced to obey it's previous orders. He never faulted the judge but the court. To me the issue of assigning the case to another judge is ruled out since he can raise same objection. He came to prove a point. His point is that nigeria has no case against him and he is proving it to the world. We live in the age of reason; an age where the mind is might, and he is clearly winning the psychological war. |
Politics › Re: My Client Is Now Open To Peace And Dialogue, Nnamdi Kanu's Lawyer Pleads With FG by Armaggedon: 11:44am On Dec 22, 2015 |
NgeneUkwenu: [s] See excerpt from the interview he granted the Sun Newspapers.
Many Igbo leaders are interested in wading into the matter and possibly brokering peace in this standoff, is your client opposed to this?
My client is not averse to peace. Remember that his strategy is that of non-violence. Non-violence is synonymous to peace. Personally, I have also preached peaceful settlement of this issue to well-meaning Nigerians.
As a result, if Igbo leaders are interested in taking part in the peace process, I want to assure you that my client will support it, but it has to be an intervention that must be bona fide and predicated on utmost trust and sincerity on their part. This preliminary peace process will be to lay a foundation for the bigger/comprehensive dialogue upon the release of my client.
To me, no meaningful and enduring dialogue takes place while he is still incarcerated because you cannot negotiate with a man in chains. He must be released first. Prominent Igbo leaders as Chief Chekwas Okorie, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu, Archbishop Emmanuel Chukwuma, Senator Ike Ekweremadu and others too numerous to mention, for want of space, have joined the clarion call for the release of my client. Other prominent Nigerians such as Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah, Prof. Wale Soyinka, Alhaji Balarabe Musa have also advised that the Federal Government should toe the path of dialogue to avoid the matter getting out of hand. As for me, I will enjoin the government to play according to the rule of law and at best adopt alternative dispute strategy in the interest of Nigerians. [/s]
http://sunnewsonline.com/new/nnamdi-kanu-counsel-blows-hot-over-his-continued-detention/ Nnamdi kanu's counsel blows hot over continued detention-Daily sun my counsel is now ready for dialogue- Nigerianist (whose other name is lie) you are over rating Nigeria nkeneukwenu i heard they have been forcing him to sign undertaken and renounce Biafra, this was after pple like gowon begged him to back down all to no avail. There are pple who dont overrete Nigeria. These are pple who make change. The kanu guy has got them by the balls. if they continue to detain him illegally-trouble! If they kill him-bigger trouble! If they release him-biggest trouble! |

Sealeddeal: You are inadvertently displaying your fear in Obiano's administration. Peter Obi's government is not a standard for good governance However,Obiano's administration is much worse. Mind you, those fly-overs you uploaded there are part of Anambra section of Onitsha-enugu highway of which Peter Obi constructed from Brigde head till somewhere in Awkuzu. That highway is a Federal road which Obiano must receive the re-imbursement and thats why the construction is still ongoing. So,its actually a President Buhari legacy project. Show us the picture of any state government sponsored projects that Obiano has shown sign of completing in 4years. Obiano is a grand criminal who is using 'Willie is working' propaganda campaign to swindle anambrarians. The only people that support Obiano's regime of idiocy are people that are benefitting financially from his administration and people from Anambra north who believe that Obiano's regime is their turn to rule. you are a fool...'nough said |

He even issued a letter through Chinua Achebe to deliver a message to him. Go and confirm before you can come back to argue. the question was whether they recognised biafra and not whether senghor was ojukwus friend. |
