OP,

how about counseling and forgiveness?

andromida: Is it impossible to forgive her perhaps in time to come? Can you calm down and explore this option?
Celebrities › Re: Ini Edo Cooking Spaghetti & Rice At Home (Pictures) by armyofone(m): 9:09pm On May 08, 2013
they are good in cooking periwinkle and idikankong grin

spaghetti is foreign hence the lumpy looking spahellti.
she tried.
Well, i guess the question which needs to be asked now, is why is a lady from a region which has long said they are the best cooks in nigeria and no other tribe comes close, suddenly pretends she does not know how to cook spaghetti.

Why the thread immediately made front page is moot, the real issue here is why post a picture of what you clearly know is not acceptable to everybody viewing it, then pose so innocently for the camera, like "oh i'm a helpless female, just trying to cook here".

Just wondering, since we all know how spaghetti is supposed to look, and even oyibos have said they use youtube to learn how to cook nigerian foods? If every computer has google, shouldnt we have googled the right way to cook a dish?

Abi some computers dont have google ni, not sure.
Family › Re: Blue-Collar Workers Want Their Children To Go to College: Why? by armyofone(m): 7:34pm On May 08, 2013
Aj, I'm going to agree with you here. In the US, most middle class children take care of their education themselves. You see many of them working menial jobs and taking student loans. Some go for handwork or getting certification in something that will bring in money in 24months.
Everyone is going to school in Nigeria, not a bad thing but why not do handwork?
I did my first year at UI and it was funny seeing students going about with spoons in their pocket, can't pay fees, being sent out of class etc.
If you are smart and can get scholarship ( wink cheesy) great.
if your parents can afford it, great.
But we should not put unnecessary hardship on parents by taking the little they get by on.
all fingers are not equal.

Learn a trade, save up if possible and see yourself through school. College if not for everyone nor is it a sure ticket to better life.

Family › Re: 3 Missing Women Found Alive After 10 Years by armyofone(m): 8:20pm On May 07, 2013
goodness!! this is so scary. the reason why I have my little armor all the time.

can you imagine 3 abducted females in a single family home, so closed to other neighbors, barbecuing and eating with others, listening and dancing to salsa music without knowing abducted girls are inside the house?? wow!! i shake my head for our American lifestyle. We mind our business to such extent? You drive to work from your garage and come in from your garage, no talking or chit chat or go to anybody's home uninvited, ummm 10 years no body knew girls were in there? i just can't get my head around this one. Scary what the girls had gone through.
(the fear of minding your business or else you get the gun has made Americans so self centered.
It is not so well.

Politics › Re: Nigerian Civil War Soldiers Protest In Ibadan by armyofone(m): 7:34pm On May 06, 2013
The way Nigerian is treating their soldiers is very shameful. American/Americans don't play with Veterans.
We treat our vet real good. Good medical care for life, GI Bills and many more goodies. Many go back to work with the federal govt, high priority placement no matter how many years you served in the US military.
Go to some if not most US churches yesterday and see them celebrating service men and women for what they gave and still giving, for those gone before/still alive or are serving.
Such patriotic people!. God bless America, God bless our troops.

I hope that someday Nigeria will do the right thing and consider those who fought their wars.

ileobatojo: Is this a true story? Very unlikely that it will take 7 yrs for an SS person to show signs of it.

As for the woman, you want us to advice her? Lol! You've got jokes!!

I just hope this mother won't strangle the poor girl one day after she gets kicked out. She's wishing for her child to die so her husband doesn't find out? After deceiving the man so gravely for 7 yrs? What a witch!
abi o. wicked woman, if I were you OP, I will kukuma tell the husband myself just for saying she wanted the innocent girl to die.
instead of coming to term with the reality of her evil deed, she is wanting someone else to pay the price, very bad and horrible woman.

grin
thank you, just leave cougar to continue dilly dallying around grin

biolabee: Maybe that was then... with economic realities as they are
A poor man will die with polygamy
coogar: "little" johnny is the only reason men live....
so what you consider little is not really little. if you want to hurt any man, speak ill of his johnny and watch him snarl at you.

men don't live long? says who?
the reason men don't live long has nothing to do with polying. there are various other factors. men actually lived long when polygamy was the fad. moses, abraham, jacob, david, etc all spent about 150 years each before they gave up the ghost!
so freaking hilarious, you are something else.
Family › Re: Is This Common Amongst Nigerian Married Women? by armyofone(m): 8:19pm On May 04, 2013
not really, you see why men don't live long? unnecessary stress, such as allowing little johnny to take control his big head undecided

coogar: but competition is good - it brings out the best of the competitors. the man wins cos the women would be bent in outfoxing each other.
Food › Re: What Is The Best Seasoning For Cooking Generally? by armyofone(m): 8:11pm On May 04, 2013
true. also, you can't add yaji in soup/stew/fried rice/ogbono/egusi/okra/efo riro/goose goose etc

yaji can only be use in eating suya, kose, zogole salad, massa.

I was surprised to know that oyinbo too use chicken bouillon/knorr in some of their food shocked
such global epidemic undecided

coogar: you would be worse off with a divorce, be ready to lose 50% of your savings to your wife - you would also pay child support till your baby turns 16 or 18. it's a woman's world. you should learn to manage mini-crisis such as this. divorce is no child's play - it's rendered most men homeless and penniless.
grin you have come a long way. God bless ya madam.

mekula: Imagine! That's why we as africans dont have values anymore. Too much copy copy from movies and dstv. Even oyinbo sef dey wish to revert to the values we are now seeing as archaic. Chopping under my roof and I fit come dey hear oh yeah!, oh my god! fvck me baby! Hmmn! As the pikin don be adult like dat na hin be say hin go go find hin own house take dey do am. What nonsense!
haha, don't forget parents buying plan B for their little ones too, was in the news.

OP, there are more important things in life to tell your kids than chatting about your paycheck.
Family › Re: Di by armyofone(m): 8:50pm On May 01, 2013
calculate the time use in pumping her up grin. 3 months of rest after the marriage/honeymoon period, 9 month of carrying baby, 3 month of auto leave, 2 years of caring for the tot, more pumping and 9 months another is due. now see why you shouldn't complain but hang in there. People should marry a working lady and not put down unrealistic expectation after marriage. Unrealistic expectation in the sense that let this stage be a time to born. Get vasectomy so no more babies and move from there. You will complain and then fiam off to bed, another baby in another 9months. Odikwa egwu.
I be think say she go get job after marriage should not be in your dictionary. You want a working lady, marry one that is already working. Saves you this kind of hassles.

everything calls for celebration in Nigeria. born, naming, graduation, failure (yes some celebrate that), death o. Let's hope the mama enjoyed herself during her lifetime.

when I was a little kid, there was a song mama meeting dey sing grin:
there are children that takes care of mama
not when she dies will you start killing goat and celebrating, who begged you,
when she was alive, she didn't have goat to eat, na hungry kill am
grin grin
remembering that song made me laugh but it is true.

RIP mama Philip.

The yam you mentioned above is not just any yam. It is the watery yam or Water yam (has a scientific name too).
I'm not sure you can grate just any yam except water yam and yellow yam for (yam pudding)

nice job sha OP
bokohalal: Yam (iyan)could be eaten boiled, roasted, pounded, grated then fried or just fried in any oil.
The grated then fried yam is called 'igiogio'. The process is simple. A tuber of yam is washed in clean water to remove dirt. Then peeled and cut into small pieces. Thereafter, each piece is taken to a grate and rubbed against it. A thick gob of soft grated yam forms on the other side which is scooped with a spoon after spicing it as desired(some people add crayfish ,prawns or shrimps) and put in already heating pot of palm, ground or vegetable oil.
When done it is much like akara but in taste.
