coogar: that's not the question, biolabee
the man is a philanderer - the act itself is philandering. so what pushes a man to philander?
oh oh, that's what you want to do? put the blame of philandering on the woman? where is his conscience to help him decide what's right or wrong?
you eh? unless I got it all wrong grin but lipsrsealed

biolabee: This post killed it!
JUDGED!!

Its sad really the double standards .....
Men have justified cheating but refuse to entertain their spouses doing same

Its a mans world grin

My take..

If you marry in a monogamic sense, then cheating on your spouse is to be condemned

if you are a polygamist and your wife is aware, then cheating on your man is wrong
shocked shocked you are a philander, sleeping with anything in skirt and if your wife cheats on you, she is wrong?
wow!! wait, come again!! shocked shocked shocked shocked

Biola, did you mean that (the bolded)?
Family › Re: Is This Common Amongst Nigerian Married Women? by armyofone(m): 8:17pm On Apr 30, 2013
yes.
all the same. Johnny is for me and I alone. I can't share mine and don't share yours. you do, you are goner/I walk and take everything with me.

biolabee: well...

it does not always work like that though women will like it for thunder and brimstone to fall
i know a guy that took his wife in after she messed up maybe due to the kids... but he is an exception
will i do same.. i dont know

Do i expect my wife to leave me if i transgress.. she may she may not
God knows but i dont want to try it

I have a question for the women in the house

Are these sins the same to yo, rate in order of 'worst-ness'
1. A man has a fling once
2. A man has a steady mistress and does not neglect his home duties
3. A serial philanderer like the man in the post

Will you throw away your marriage because of these
Whoever is cheating, repent and give your life to Christ.

Its not good the way people table others' personal lives here on nairaland ( not only on nl actually, but since its here, lets just use nl as an example).

But if you give them room to do it, they will.

If they are telling lies, t
hats different from if they're telling the truth.
you are right Tpia. not sure if given life to Christ will help them because some women cheat as pay back or do what their husband is doing. In days gone by, when husband cheats, their wife will cry and carry on, but today it is a different ball game.
I think women should take a walk from such marriage, I definitely will move out than do what he is doing.

simple explanation of the madness caused by your babalawo: they have access to barks/plants etc they know the use of opium in powder form or otherwise. they know the amount to give to that sane man to make him insane or kill him.
Wake up and free your mind.

The ancient war between the edos and the oyinbos for instance. The juju men fought with juju in small calabash, blowing opium powder and other harvested, sundried and packaged concotions on her majesty soldiers, the white ones fought with guns and bullets. Read your history books again grin
I agree oh, was not on one of these threads someone (I believe Oyb) posted pictures of some politician's wife who was kicked out...kids in tow, in the snow?!! She wasn't allowed to temove anything but their clothes in one bag out of the house.

Let everyone just make their own money...why is that such a hard pill to swallow?!! huh
you have to fight for that right, don't buy into that 'baby, I want you to stay at home', it will come back to haunt you.
so OP, she should do something ASAP.

Family › Re: Divorce - Why Cant Women Say "I M Sorry"? by armyofone(m): 4:56am On Apr 25, 2013
True NaijaBwoy: Na wa o

I always thought people who divorce must have been lazy in their marriage to keep things together.... but the sad fact is i am now going through a divorce. Its even more painfull to realise the key reason for me parting ways with the woman i still love is simply because she wont address the error of her ways.

Ironically, if she had said, "my husband, i am sorry please fogive me and lets patch things up (even for the sake of the kids)". I would with out doubt reconsider. it would help restore my confidence in her and my marriage.

The harsh reality is without these words, I would continously battle with her in respect of who wears the pants in our marriage. it truly doesnt help that her tenacity is supproted by her family. This truly chops my legs of me manhood and dignity... My marriage is currently the spin off from Eastenders... the family affairs is out there...

Im guessing you want to know what she should be sorry abouthuh it will pop out when i get enough feedback from the women out there.

9yrs knowing her, 5yrs married, 2kids later and a divorce............ Ladies, Learn these words, it goes a long way to retaining your marriage " my husband i am sorry"
well maybe you haven't been really supportive and she was at her last lap?
I'm sorry isn't enough from one party, have you told her you are sorry?
I'm sorry baby we are at this phrase, don't you think we can work this out, I love you and I feel we can make it if we give it a try. I love you, I really love you etc Try harder and don't give up yet.

so what are you going to do if in such situation, beat the child? you know beating is against the law here so what will you do?

davidylan: my father baptised my behind daily until i learned maths by force. I feel for the parent in this case, her daughter seems to be really dull academically and i hope i dont have a child like that because i know quite well that i am not very patient with kids who take too long to grasp what i consider a simple concept.
My dad was the same phew!! I don't have patient too. I hope to have real good money to send mine to private schools (especially catholic schools grin, have extra tutors at my home while we the parents play our part.

coogar: it would kill me if my child is slow amongst her peers!
this is one of the reasons i have never been an advocate of divorce. children raised by single moms are more likely to be dumber than the ones raised by single dads and ultimately, they are way slower than the kids raised in the normal family unit.
Right, At least no distraction for the kids. Mom and Dad present are important.
Family › Re: When Your Child Isn't As Intelligent As You by armyofone(m): 10:25pm On Apr 23, 2013
now you are sounding funny. You personally don't have control over gene/the fastest swimming tadpole.

coogar: he would adapt!
kids are very flexible - God bless their brains. a kid below 10 can learn 8 different languages without stress. it is what you instil in kids that they would learn. forget all those of might not necessarily be academic. smacking drilled out all the non-academic talents out of me and i embraced academic. what are you talking about? no vacation for me if i don't score 100% in math. grin cheesy

birth defects is another dimension entirely.
if one's kid has birth defects then that is totally out of the parents' hands. we are talking of a healthy child here - why would he tap traits from his grandparents? it is what I want him to be that he would be unless i don't try enough.
