Post here the INEC January statement that it would not use electronic transmission of results to its database connected to a server.

Then let's see how election results were sent by vehicle transport to Abuja from all nooks and crannies of Nigeria.

Breach of trust by INEC is like the kernel of the petition of Atiku.

The political parties entered the election with INEC as umpire based on the assurance of INEC to use Server.
so where were they when the INEC chairman said in January that the commission was not going to transmit results electronically due to lack of laws regulating the use of technology?

tuniski:
Elections are mainly rigged at collation points. The introduction of e-transmission is to provide an audit trail of the result that will be brought in by the returning officers. If you have already transmitted real time the result, any manipulation becomes glaring and traceable.

This is what #teamAtiku is driving at. The server exist at least INEC has acknowledged that, the contention is Whether they banked the results there. That can only be proven by witnesses who participated in the collation processes. INEC ICT folks and ultimately and conclusively via server inspection.
I agree with you on all but one thing, your first comment that election are rigged at collation centers, that not true. Are you aware that party agents follow results all the way to the state collation center? This is something Witnessed myself, a car i was traveling in could not move for one hour due to the convoy that was accompanying election results from my local government to the state collation center. after the collation at the ward level, the party agents follow up to the local government level to verify that the results tally. Do you know the mayhem that would unfold in this country if these results were tampered with at these stages of the election?

Yes, where network was bad you upload at the earliest point where you find useable network.

Let apc/buhari focus on the south the petitioner focuses on where and what relevant and sustains his Petition.
So now the question of integrity. HE claimed the Manual process was compromised, now one man will record a result on his own, remember manual process everyone including party agents saw was going on. I want to believe Atiku has a case but each time I try to reason its just impossible to win with this Sever strategy. He stood a better chance using electoral irregularities to prove his case.

This server issue was already calculated as a fail safe should Atiku loose the election. Remember while results where still coming in from across the country, the guy already had his own results waiting for him on the server. Not even taking into account technical issues that might even prevent uploading of results as some INEC officials said they did. They planned this even before the election..In January, The INEC chairman even said the commission was not going to transmit election results electronically talk more of collation of results electronically, due to lack of enabling laws. But since their plan was already in the works, it was hard to pull the plug.

When you read comments on nairaland, you discover that 80% of those commenting don't read the actual story or bother to make research. The explanation for not granting Atiku access to the sever was pretty straight forward. INEC has said they don't have sever, a case has not yet been established if INEC has a sever or not. If the judge at this point says ok Atiku go and inspect sever, its the same as prejudging the case. I don't know the caliber of SANs that are pursuing the case for Atiku, but from all indications, they are just playing a circus or they just want to grab as much as they can, because there is no court in Nigeria or elsewhere for that would grant such a request

The issue here is understanding and you do not understand how the server works. One man alone did not input the results into the server. The server is an aggregation of all the results sent to it from the card readers. After the manual collation of results, they were expected to enter the results from the manually collated sheets on the hand device and transit to the server where it was aggregated. My question therefore is why is there a differencehuh?
I understand the process, what I meant by one man is this, where you aware your POs was entering the results in the Card reader? Did you see the results he was entering, in order to verify if it tallies with what was on paper? They was an INEC official at each polling unit who was responsible for this exercise. My problem with INEC is them saying they have no sever, without explaining further, they owe Nigerians a proper explanation at least. and To answer your question, The difference could be from the fact that the person downloaded Data that was not yet processed, or outright manipulation or the person had simply no idea of what he or she was doing. imagine 35million people accredited, the same 35million all voted and only voted APC nd PDP, something is wrong with that result.
PoliticsRe: Atiku Vs Buhari: INEC Must Produce Presidential Election Server - Peter Obi by asfrank(m): 4:28am On Jun 18, 2019
This sever fiasco was a contingency plan PDP had long ago before the election day it self. Looking at the they generated from the so called sever, it was purely based on pre-election permutations. But the reality was different. He gave Buhari over 1million South East votes. In benue, he predicted Buhari will face massive failure and gave him just over 150,000 as against his over 500,000 votes. These Hoax was just designed as a fail safe.

Why is there is difference?

Which result is easier to manipulate? The “manually” collated one or the one transmitted to the server?

When you are ready to be objective in your reasoning, only then will you truly understand. Till then, bask in your ignorance
are you seriously asking these questions? A result that one man alone entered into an electronic machine secretly that electorates didn't know of Is more credible than the one calculated, announced and displayed in the presence of everyone?

PDP is arguing that the results were transmitted electronically by the officers of the inec at the pulling centre to the server but probably on going up to lg inec office or state inec office the results were tampered which made it different from the one already sent to the server at the pulling unit. I'm not PDP lawyer but I seem to understand their argument.
That their argument holds no water. Do you know that party agents escorted returning officers from the polling unit up to the State coalition centers? These guys are just holding on straws to survive. I don't know how difficult it is for them to really understand. If it was so, we would have heard of variances in all states of the federation, Haba.. and thousands of ignorant supporters are buying this crap makes me wonder. Their so called sever results that showed that only PDP nd APC were voted, no cancelled votes, in the case of Adamawa state, the total votes between PDP nd APC was even more than the accredited voters. Even a blind man know this case is done.

Unfortunately, INEC does not use your opinion to run elections.

Better to learn quietly and be mistaken for an informed fellow, than to flaunt your opinion and erase all doubts.
what you said earlier shows is really ignorant between the two of us. For someone who said it's impossible for Card readers to function without a sever, shows he is still living in the stone age.
PoliticsRe: INEC Server: The Easiest Way Atiku Can Make His Case by asfrank(m): 4:04pm On Jun 15, 2019
pchukwudi:
Proof of server existence is very EASY.

Simple, how did INEC conduct voter verification with card reader if there was no server. It's 100% IMPOSSIBLE to do that.

If they insist that they do not have a server, they will by necessity accept that they did not do voter verification with card reader. In that case, the election will have to be canceled.
U don't need a sever to do that in my opinion. Each card reader can programmed for a specific polling unit. I don't know what they used but each one carries information about voters for specific units, making the verification easy. There are places in Nigeria where even cell phone services are not good but still accreditation took place there.
PoliticsRe: INEC Server: The Easiest Way Atiku Can Make His Case by asfrank(m): 3:58pm On Jun 15, 2019
pchukwudi:
There's a huge difference between:
1) proof of 100% server usage in result collation and
2) proof of server existence.

The case here is not about proving that the server was 100% used for result collation.

The case is about INEC denying that its server exists.

Atiku's application was for SERVER INSPECTION. Not for result validation.

Why is INEC denying the existence of its server (contrary to its own documented public assertions) if no evidence of illegality can be found following a thorough audit/inspection of the server?

Seriously, you guys should stop being stupid.
so in Your view, Atiku should be declared winner because INEC has a sever? Have you bothered to take a look at the results he generated from the so called sever? And again you want to say that All party Agents present at each polling unit in the country Signed Fake results sheets? Because his results are completely in variance from what was signed and announced by INEC officials. There are a lot of serious questions, the issue of sever or no sever to me is not even amongst them

I wouldn't fault you for defending your point. But this is what he filled at the tribunal. PoliticsRe: FACT-CHECK: Did INEC Receive Money For Servers To Store Electoral Data? by asfrank(m): 1:09pm On Jun 15, 2019
tuniski:
It shows results of all parties/candidates including invalid/rejected votes. What you are referencing were abridged.
The computation of presidential election results
filed before the elections petition tribunal by the
presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic
Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, shows that all
accredited votes cast in 33 states of the
federation were shared between him and
President Muhammadu Buhari.
Mr Buhari was declared the winner for a second
term of four years with 15,191,847 votes to
defeat Mr Abubakar who polled 11,262,978 votes.
The two got lion share of the 27,324,583 valid
votes recorded in the election.
Over 1.2 million votes were also voided in the
course of the election.
However, excerpts of court filings published by
PREMIUM TIMES give Mr Abubakar’s state by
state breakdown of votes which, he claims,
placed him ahead of Mr Buhari with 18,356,732
against the incumbent’s 16,741,430 votes. The
result is exclusive of figures from Rivers State.
The Flaws
Mr Abubakar’s purported result implies that no
invalid votes were recorded in the 33 states, and
none of the 71 other presidential candidates
obtained any score.
In three states; Abia, Bauchi and Cross River, the
documents show that the two candidates
collectively got votes higher than the number of
accredited voters.
Mr Abubakar claims that he obtained the results
from the server of the electoral commission,
INEC.
The document is included in the petition filed by
Mr Abubakar in a suit seeking his declaration as
the validly elected president.
The purported result shows that Mr Abubakar
defeated the incumbent president by a margin of
1.6 million votes.
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has
dismissed the alleged figures as a product of the
opposition’s “hallucination.”
Mr Buhari’s campaign later accused Mr Abubakar
and the PDP of gaining illegal access to the INEC
server.
An analysis of the alleged INEC server result by
PREMIUM TIMES show that the figures given as
total accredited voters in at least 33 of the 36
states and the capital, Abuja, show a clean sweep
of the entire figures between the two major
candidates.
A different result
Contrary to Mr Abubakar’s computation, INEC’s
official result obtained from the electoral
commission’s website show that all the 73
candidates who participated in the election
scored some votes.
The result showed that 71 other candidates in
the election shared the remnants of 869,758 valid
votes collated.
The person who came a distant third in the
election, Felix Nicholas, of the Peoples Coalition
Party (PCP) scored a total of 110,196 votes.
He was followed by Obadiah Mailafia of the
African Democratic Congress (ADC) who polled
97.874.
Gbor Terwase of the All Progressives Grand
Alliance (APGA) clinched the fifth position with
66,851 votes.
Candidates with least scores are Angela Johnson
of Alliance for a United Nigeria (AUN) with 1,092,
Abah Elaigwu of Change Advocacy Party (CAP)
with 1,111 and Edosomwon Johnson of the
Nigeria Democratic Congress Party (NDCP) with
1,192 votes.
The Atiku result
In Mr Abubakar’s home state of Adamawa, where
INEC officially declared Mr Abubakar winner with
412,266 against Mr Buhari’s 377,488, Mr
Abubakar claims that he got 646,080 out of the
total 815,680 accredited voters with Mr Buhari
scoring 161,600. The result show only the two
got all the possible votes.
In Akwa Ibom, Messrs Abubakar and Buhari,
according to the computation, received all the
votes by the 925,370 accredited voters with Mr
Abubakar polling 587,431 votes ahead of Mr
Buhari’s 337,939.
It is another clean sweep in Enugu as Mr
Abubakar claimed that the state’s 965,940
accredited voters gave him 698,119 as against
267,821 for Mr Buhari.
The 1,169,303 voters accredited in Sokoto State,
according to the purported result, all shared their
votes between Mr Abubakar (552,172) and Mr
Buhari (617,131).
Mr Abubakar’s 442,380 votes allegedly polled in
Taraba and Mr Buhari’s 188,389 votes put
together represent 630,769 total accredited votes
for the state.
Yobe’s 750,745 accredited votes, Mr Abubakar
claims, were shared in total between him and Mr
Buhari who got 443,904 against Mr Abubakar’s
306,841
In Zamfara, the result shows that total accredited
votes of 792,796 were shared between Messrs
Abubakar and Buhari with the former having
379,022 while the latter got 413,774.
Irregularities?
Aside the exactitude between summation of
figures for the two candidates and the number of
accredited voters, there are other issues that are
either arithmetic errors or over voting.
In Abia, for example, 853,050 were recorded as
“accredited voters (actual)” but the sum of the
votes allotted to Messrs Abubakar and Buhari
alone, outshot the accredited voters by 10,000.
Mr Abubakar, according to the result, polled
664,659 while Mr Buhari obtained 198,391.
It is a similar case in Bauchi, where the total for
Messrs Abubakar and Buhari’s purported votes
outnumber total accredited voters by 287 votes.
Mr Abubakar claims 187,668 votes a far cry from
854,037 the document said Mr Buhari obtained.
The summation comes to 1,041,705 while the
document gives the total accredited voters as
1,041,418.
In Cross River, the document shows that votes
obtained by the two leading candidates amount
to 691,640 which is higher than the 690,890
accredited voters’ figure by a total of 750 votes.

PoliticsRe: FACT-CHECK: Did INEC Receive Money For Servers To Store Electoral Data? by asfrank(m): 12:37pm On Jun 15, 2019
Mowoe:
First I'm neither Igbo nor a supporter of Atiku before some tribalists start mentioning me irrationally; as a matter of fact I voted for Buhari and argued so many times in his favor in 2015.

To my point, Atiku's server results may have been falsified or the figures may have been inflated, but one thing is certain and it's the fact that there is a 'Server' and that 'Server' as far as I learned stores results transmitted. INEC has seized every opportunity to deny the fact that it has a server. Why would INEC instruct POs to transmit results if the transmitted results were only going to hang in the air? There's no need denying the existence of a 'Served' unless INEC has something to hide.
I think the defense strategy employed by INEC on the issue is not helping matters, but again the burden lies on Atiku to prove his case. But we are going to find out soon enough, during cross examination in the cause of the proceeding.
PoliticsRe: FACT-CHECK: Did INEC Receive Money For Servers To Store Electoral Data? by asfrank(m): 11:45am On Jun 15, 2019
Mowoe:
I went for the INEC Ad-Hoc staff training but did not participate in the conduct of the elections. I remember vividly during the training, the SPO (Supervisory Presiding Officer) rightly said after the votes had been counted, the results were to be written on the results sheet (Form EC8A, i think); and after the general conduct of the election, the results for each party were to be entered in the SCRs (Smart Card Readers). The SPO laid emphasis up on the fact that the results on paper had to tally with the SCR's.

He said after the results had been entered, the SCRs would automatically calculate the data entered,
after which the PO (Presiding Officer) would connect the SCR to the interenet by means of Data or Wifi and then transmit the results to "INEC's Server" wich is the central point for all results transmitted by SCRs. He said this is in a bid to curb electoral fraud and because whatever results was written on paper would tally with those on the SCRs, it would be impossible to manipulate results on Paper as INEC would already have the results on its "Server" which tallies with what was on paper initially.

For INEC officials to claim they do not have a server is completely false. Where did the results collated and transmitted via the SCRs go? INEC is just one compromised body, just like other 'independent Organizations' in the country.

In conclusion, INEC has a server; I doesn't matter how much they try to deny it.
Thanks 4 Your detailed explanation. But I have some questions. The Election Results that Atiku claimed he got from the sever showed that all votes for the election were shared between him and Buhari, How genuine is that claim? And again from the same results, there were no canceled votes and all accredited voters voted. How are all these possible? Were the results recorded into the Card readers by the POs according to Parties that participated, in this case over 70 parties? For me these are questions that Atiku's sever results has not fully answered. Since u participated in the Process and had some knowlege have these questions been answered by their claim? Enlighten me please.
