cross river govt need to drop their ego and go into negotiation so to get needed funds to develop their state otherwise they would be broke as hell |
coolestkc: "Ibo" and "Igbo" is not interchangeable. "Ibo" refers to the tribe, while "Igbo" is the language they speak FYImy friend quit the ignorance.if you speak the language pronounce it and tell me whether it is 'gb' or 'b' you hear.stop the colomentality. |
gbadexy: My take on these e-bashing is that ibos generally are fond of irritating and insulting people first and they act as if you are attacking them unfairly if you respond.i am sure you were not here when nairaland started in 2005 to 2007 you would have known that it is yorubas that started it with their sly talks. |
‘Akwa Ibom open to negotiating with Cross River on 76 oil wells’ On August 18, 2012 · In News 9:52 pm 0 Governor Godswill Akpabio says Akwa Ibom State is not averse to entering into a dialogue with Cross River State on the issue of the 76 oil wells which ownership by Akwa Ibom State was affirmed by the Supreme Court in a recent judgment. Akpabio, speaking during the monthly prayer meeting held at John’s Chaplaincy, Governor’s Lodge, Uyo, said, ‘’Akwa Ibom is extending a further hand of fellowship that, despite the Supreme Court judgment, it is still ready to enter into dialogue with Cross River State on the issue of the 76 oil wells’’. He deplored reports misquoting him during the legal tussle on the disputed oil wells earlier controlled by Cross River State, and said he would gladly enter into such dialogue with Cross River State in the interest of brotherhood, peace and ancestral bonds. The governor said he would not be distracted to break the box of democracy, promising to do his best with available resources and leave the rest for his successor to continue from where he will stop. ‘’I won’t be angry like the Biblical Moses who broke the tablet of God’s commandments on return from Mount Sinai to see the idolatrous worshipping of a golden calf by the Israelites. While in office with so much work done, I am still being criticized. I see the criticisms as good for my administration’’, Akpabio noted. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/08/akwa-ibom-open-to-negotiating-with-cross-river-on-76-oil-wells/ |
satysaca: we are IBOS he is correct we are not IGBOs our language is IGBO we are IBOS or IBO so he is very correct.if you can speak the language and you are conversant with the pronounciation of 'b' and 'gb' in igbo language you will not be making this highly ignorant comment. |
i forsee a mini war between this group and boko haram |
funny what oil induced nationalism can cause |
op when you lump all people from south south states together you honestly think you are creating a country that would be functional?so you think because all except crossriver are oil producing then automatically they are all going to function well as one country?i laugh. |
Sun of god: Extortion And Arrasment of Motorits In Ibadan ![]() |
so?is it not the state capital?why not show us your village or other towns? |
Sun of god: Hopefully they are collecting to invest in the education system in Ibadan -why do you say that? |
sallah celebration has been fixed for sunday |
some people living in lagos already feel like 'lagosians' |
Kobojunkie: I could never be in her/or your shoes because I believe it is stupidi_ty to consider wealth an impediment.all this one na long talk.na marraige dem de look do ![]() |
kokoye: The girl must be ugly...sorry. or somthn is surely wrong with her. Even she herself is insecure. trying to trick insecure guys like her into marriage..liar.i wonder oo.if a man does not ask you out why not ask a guy out.shebi na women emancipation era we day now |
Dede1: Even if the marriage is free of charge, a man who can not serve himself three plates of meal a day will not think of the trouble.dede there is a difference btw doing what you said and paying close to a million to marry a girl |
Dede1: It is diabolically idiotic for any person to remotely insinuate that bride price is the reason behind the increase in the number of the unmarried youths in Nigeria in general or Imo State in particular. The major issue is lack of jobs. An empty stomach does not think of marriage.you have no idea what you you are saying. |
mbulela: with all his fraudulent tendencies, Ohakim is laughing his heart out.so you think ohakim cared about anything about imo state? |
Kobojunkie: It has nothing to do with Lagos/Ohio. If you have something against any specific thing I said. Address it.look women of these days have to be one on the forefronet.like i said earlier i had cousins who used to make mouth about such things like 'i am not cheap' or like ' some other guy paid the bride price did so so why can't you' anthem.well time for those who are not yet married to counter thios rubbish. |
Kobojunkie: um . . . wrong. Tradition is OPTIONAL and implemented whenever we choose to. That is how many of those who are able to switch traditions do so. It is not mandatory and does not rule your life or anyones.haha too much lagos and ohio is affecting you.however like i said earlier it is the women from the affected places to liberate themselves |
those from mbaise let us be honest this bride price thing is getting ridiculous and something has to be done about it. |
Kobojunkie: BULL_SHIOT! This is a joke!symbolic in what sense?you are saying likely fate that affect them because of sale so what you suggesting? |
Ramcie: It's so sad. Having the same problem with my ple. Though am not from the east. They want to kill the poor guy for mecan't you try and convince your parents to prevail on this issue?what then is the essence of women liberation? |
like i have said sometimes before one problem i have with the governor is that he talks too much |
Dede1: If Adaplam did not generate revenue for Imo State, probably the palm seedlings Rochas Okorocha intends to plant will generate revenue for Imo State. I guess this so-called governor of Imo State has a magical wand.adapalm did not generate revenue for imo state for the past ten years is not in question.reason is simple.it was being run by government and as someone from that state i know the mentality so it is no suprise why revenue was not generated, instead what adapalm was getting was subevention which is quite frankly rather stupid for a plantation that is supposed ti be run as a business and generating money for the state..the problem i have is whether these seedlings or plantaion he is initiating is still going to be run by govt. |
i hope he would be given iron pants cause he would need it badly. |
my maternal side of family comes from a notorious area for this high bride price issue.when i see my female cousins from my maternal side(most of them in their mid and late thirties) i just have pity for them because a lot of people are beginning to shy away from them on knowing the area they are from in imo state.something has to be done fast otherwise them go here am.i have told one of them that they(females) would have to be the one to liberates themselves and their female offsprings by protesting this nonsense but then again some of them actually promoted this high pride issue when they were younger like saying things like 'we are not cheap' whenever the this issue rose up in our family those days.i guess they are not beating their chests now. |
Dede1: It is very scary to note that few Nigerians are inhumanly and ignorantly gullible. Yet they will be the first to denigrate people who tend to have socio-political views different from theirs. It is asinine to hear people associate Imo State and palm oil production with Rochas Okorocha.adapalm was not generating revenue to imo state at least for the last ten years. |
ilugunboy: But if they are out of Diesel business ...they can always look for alternative business to invest in.unfortunately a lot of nigerian biz men find it difficult to change businesses or reinvent themselves when business climates change.what stops the desiel marketers from keying in into the privatization of phcn? |
ilugunboy: A friend of mine that deals in AGO at the Ibru Petroleum Jetty in Apapa complained bitterly to me this morning that business have been terribly affected by the present level of power supply in the country.are u suprised? |
PROUD-IGBO:apart from imo palm plantation(adapalm) i am not sure how the other two will pan out because it seems as if it is government that is going into the business.agric is business and as such private sector is better at running it since govts in general have proved incompetent in running businesses |
kutchs: @one-naira it is true, he said so even though I find it impracticable. What is refreshing though is that such dreams could force him to develop the enormous potentials Imo State has in abundance. Palm Oil is gold and if that sector is well developed, Imo will become golden. Better said than done though.how is he developing the potentials?is it by talking? |
