nwanna89: Yea. If that's the case, its a good idea. However, if you live in Owerri and you drive around especially those roads built at the end of MCC road, in Uruatta estate and Aladimma. All work has stopped. Its because he refused to pay the contractors as agreed. I actually got the info from a director in one of the state ministries, who is a mom's friend
I dont see the big deal in retirement benefits for retired governors as most of them barely do anything else after retirement.. All I would have loved would have been a case where we could decide not to pay certain fuckers like Rtd Gov Rochas..

lol

@ ALL ROCHAS SUPPORTERS

WHy is it so hard to point out some of the laudable projects of our good Governor Rochas?! Or are these projects in your mind?! Remember that he has been 1 year and 4 Months now in Office o!!
really?so before they became governors they were not engaged in a business or they were not working anywhere?so immediately they stop being governors their brains stop working on what to do next?to the extent that the retirement(looting) package includes (stupidly) houses in abuja and lagos plus female attendants in those houses for former govs of rivers state?so they are normal 'gifts to you?well i am not suprised.

saxywale: WoW, the civil service is very corrupt. This woman now has my respect. I will never yab her again. I hope she remains true all through her service to the nation.
so you did not know that the civil service is probably the most corrupt arm of government?i even believe they are more corrupt than politicians since they are ones that show politicians the 'ways and avenues' for chopping money.

I didnt ask you to vet the points ess raised.. We said list what he has achieved in 1 year & 4 months..

University does not put food on the tables of people..

Here are a list of things that I can call off the top of my head that Amaechi has done in 5 years;

Turned port-harcopurt around

Roads

Schools

Health care

Opening up 5 new cities

Underground drainges, elevation and rafting of roads that pass through swamp areas

Electricity projects.. (Rivers State Electricity distribution company is working and you can see it)

His projects are nnot just centered on Port-Harcourt but also the villages

Destruction of shanties

Better traffic management systems (except TIMARIV)

etc.....

What has rochas done for your state in 1 year and six months...
you also forgot signing away the states treasury for past governors and political office holders as retirement(looting ) benefits.

Another Okija: I am not Igbo, I agree.. I am a Pharisee..

But that not withstanding, Rochas will never rule this country.. Not even if we decide to do the presidency state by state..

The list of more credible individuals ahead of him are just too darn much..

If rochas performs... Like you said 'IF'.. And I know he wouldnt.. Anyways.. No point debating this, Rochas will never rule this country..

EXACTLY.. Imo State deserves the kind of government they get.. If Rochas is the best thing to happen to Imo State since Mbakwe, then your state must be the nesting ground of Charlatans.. Just because yourself and Ebere hold similar views, you have tagged yourselves responsible.. I laugh if Ohafia..

Esss asked you a question, what has Rochas done for your state so far... List them..

miteolu: http://uzoholiday5..com/2012/06/governor-rochas-okorocha-promises-to.html

''Governor Rochas Okorocha is making plans to establish the first ever free University in Nigeria for less privileged and the poor. There will be no school fees. Everything will be almost free for students.

The initiative is being implemented by his Charity organization called, ROCHAS FOUNDATION which currently owns and runs five secondary schools around the country offering free education to indigent students. The schools are located in Ogboko (in Imo State); Owerri, Kano, Ibadan, and Jos."

You requested the above information. So, read & follow the link. Because, He has already renege.
so rochas foundation equates imo state government?you must be high on expired cocaine.i am sure it is also imsg that built those schools in owerri, ogboko, kano, ibadan and jos.

tonymariao: people are dying in silence though Imo is better dan abia but dat comparison shouldn't be d set point
the people in 'dying in silence' are civil servants and politicians whose routes to government funds or embezzlement has been blocked.wetin concern artisans, students or people in general who have nothing with governance.it is just that he talks a bit too much

Politics › Re: Say It Loud!! Gov. Orji Of Abia State Is A Clown. by asha80(m): 7:18pm On Jul 18, 2012
emindu: @spyder880 ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTIONS.

ELECTRICITY
T.A Orji administration has successfully evacuated power from the 132KV sub-station at Ohiya at the cost of N1.5 billion.Consequently, the State government in 2011 awarded contract for the construction of 5no33kv High Tension feeder lines from the Ohiya 2x30 MVA, 132/33kv injection substation.
The 5no feeder lines radiate from Ohiya injection sub-station to the following locations –Afara, Ubakala, Nkwoegwu, Ntigha, and Umungwa. Construction work along Afara, Ubakala, Nkwoegwu and Umu Ngwa has been completed while work on the Ntigha axis’s in progress.

SECURITY
Till date, the State government has given out more than 175 patrol vehicles to security personnel in the state to help fight crime as well as communication equipment. Today, we handed over 25 brand new security equipped Hilux trucks to the Army to boost our efforts on effective security. This exercise is still ongoing; we are doing it to the Police, SSS and other security agents in our state. Besides, the State government was instrumental to the rehabilitation of the Army barracks at Ohafia, which has boosted the security of the State. The joint Military-Police patrol has reduced crime drastically. Today Abia is among the most peaceful States in Nigeria, safe for investment, tourism and living.

KIDNAPPING
If you will recall, there was a time no one could sleep with his two eyes closed. I am sure it was a period we will not want to remember when we are assessing the history of the state by this same person osisikanku . but Gov.T.A Orji administration came on board and it an History of the past . which we all experience.
my brother the Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State has identified patience, prudence and sincerity of purpose as all it takes to take the state to the next level.
He, has, therefore, promised to surmount all the obstacles in his quest to reposition the state.
let put away criticism and hatred better to join hands together with ideals in other to take our state higher
funny that you make it sound like t a orji is just newly installed as governor while this is his second term.

Politics › Re: Fulani Herdsmen Attack Enugu Community by asha80(m): 7:56am On Jul 18, 2012
honeric01: Please who's representing the herdsmen? always one sided story, no one hears from the herdsmen, this is wickedness. I STRONGLY believe the herdsmen are becoming very defensive now because no one cares about them and also against them, so they defend themselves at all cost.

Simple:

Just accuse the herdsmen of destroying crops and rapping women so as to paint them black because they know the rest of the world won't doubt these accusations. (pre-conceived mentality). Does it mean the herdsmen can't talk or no one understands their tongue? i am yet to see or read any quote from a herdsman.
if you feel strongly about this you can go ahead to represent them or are there no fulani top men in house of rep or senate?do you trully believe that there no fulani guys in the house?well while you believing that it is a "preconcieved hatred or bias" towards them they should STOP destroying people's crops and livelyhood.like i said before i do not think you know the pain inflicted on farmers when these guys pass your farmlands.just ask the tivs.
Politics › Re: Fulani Herdsmen Attack Enugu Community by asha80(m): 7:26am On Jul 18, 2012
honeric01: Everybody propagate hate news against the Fulani because they have no media representation, always claiming the fulani are the ones attacking them even when they intentionally attack the fulani just to part with their cows.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE 2 COWS KILLED?

AND THE HERDSMAN KILLED?

I believe they attacked the herdsmen out of hate and also to steal their meat.
you nothing to say.attack them just to steal their cow?i am sure you have no idea what it means as a farmer to watch these guys with their cows destroy your crops and livelyhood.

emindu: what is wrong with the governor of Abia state providing WASTE BIN TRUCKS in the state and for the people of Abia to enjoy sanity and cleanliness in every environment of Abia state. there is a say "cleanliness is next to godliness" And "A clean Environment Attract investors to the state". is a welcome development by the governor which every one of us as abians need to support .most of u are just interested in either picking holes in government programs and policies on critics, not to talk about the insulence that comes with it, which u wont be brave enough in real life. how come none and i mean none of u av ever made an imput or comment on abia state, the way forward or programmes, govt should implement to better the lot of all of us? why are u all fixiated on trying to run down people, u cant and will never match in all ramfications? why? why are u all so into phd...pull him down syndrome. u all should look inwards, it could be u tommorrow.
