Each time I travel from Onitsha to Enugu, to Abakaliki and Nsukka I see so much space that current Igbo population WORLDWIDE cannot even fill.
I challenge you guys saying this to go home and try drying along Enugu PH expressway and Enugu/Onitsha, Abakaliki roads, you will come back far wiser.

ayodeji200: I can prove dis anywhere that u can hardly see any successful Igbo businessman in Nigeria without involved in any criminal activities such as arm robbery, burglary, kidnapping etc I ve observed few of them in my neighbourhood over the years and a lot of things had confirmed my suspicion.can u believe a situation where someone who owns a boutique would disappear just like that and when you ask after such shop owner, the other Igbo guys ll tell u that he has gone back to the village even when they claimed he died in ghastly motor accident, there won't be any report/record of such accident along d motorway where they claimed the accident happened and not only one or two but few of them that had been involved in dis ugly situation.
I was oppourtune to work with Nigeria Police Force Headquarter as Auditor but my office was close to CID department for about 6months and what i discovered then really shocked me. In a week, about 10 to 15 armed robbers were always brought in either dead or alive and believe me or not,all of them were always Igbo, big big men wt nice stature nd toned skin in pool of blood. The ones who re alive always confessed to have one shop or the other after thorough investigation as well as severe purnishment.
However,(very)few of them are honest in their businesses.you might not accept dis in d public but when you re all by yourself, your conscience ll be telling u that what that guy wrote right there is nothing but the truth. i hope you know that a lot of civil servants from your part of the country a first class embezzlers of funds so no need to appear holy because you guys are not.experience has let me know this. |

rman: It is happening in Kwara, Borno, Lagos and soon everywhere!
KWARA: Father is the political leader, son is governor, sister is in the senate, and guess what, eight years later, the best a whole state can come up with is to switch from brother to sister(governor). That is what is in the making and may likely happen
LAGOS: Husband is the party leader, wife goes to the house of assembly, inlaws and cousins are also there. Family affair.
BORNO: Husband will go back to senate( after being the senator and governor for twelve years), brother becomes governor and wife goes to the house of reps. Another family affair.
The Obansanjo's, even Bankole are also examples of family affair politics been practised in Nigeria.
And most ignorant Nigerians fail to see our decmocarcy as Nigerians colonising Nigerians gradually. Some really dump ones give examples of the Kennedy's and co in the US. They fail to understand that with no results to show for your tenure you are politically dead in the US. Even sex scandals can get you out of office in a jiffy. My problem with all these set up is this; why do we have learned men/women still hanging around and doing ''ranka dede'' for all these men that ensalving them and their own unborn kidds. A poor, uneducated man may be excused.
We all need to wake up and tell oureselves the truth. Nigeria, as a nation, is on a path to destruction quickly and there is no way back if we don't understand te fact that the same set of people that caused the problem are the ones we are looking up to, to provide solutions. PATHETHIC! i hope you know that those parts of nigeria that do these things are monarchical in their thinking hence they do not particularly see any problem with those arrangements? |

b) Or be bold, do something costly now and make up for it later with double effort.

JaaizTech: Mr. Facts; so what are the facts I am appalled by the no. of comments by Igbos accusing the north of murdering Igbos, one even talked about 1966 May be Igbos should be reminded that they were at war with Nigeria and not just the North; in fact it was Awolowo's brilliant idea ("starve the Igbos of food) that brought an end to the war. Also the Igbos murdered Nigerian soldiers with impunity both Northerners and non-northerners; and The genesis of the war was as a result of insensitivities by some Igbo Military officers. So stop all these spread of hate; Igbos enjoy their lives better in the North than what the northerners face in the east; I ve' witnessed this first-hand, their women are continuously taunted and harassed (pulling their head covers is very common) in the east, they are abused and insulted at will. first igbos supposedly enjoy better lives in the north than the northerners in the east simply because igbos are ambitious.an igbo perosn that starts with ordinary handerchief selling is not hoping to that the rest of his life and is willing to enter into more lucrative ventures as times move on but the northerner that shines shoe in the east has no qualms doing that for the rest of his life. as for taunting the northerners that wear hijab by pulling their covered hair what a way to steer controversy just to justify a non existent argurement. |

First, the situation in Tunisia and Egypt is totally different, I commend them for their courage but they woke up too late to allow tyranny rule for over 20 years. When we start saying people are not dying for others, it seems we have forgotten about the struggles of June 12 or Ken Saro Wiwa, we forget that at a time when politicians were on national TV adopting Abacha as a sole candidate there were people fighting and putting their lives at risk for this country.
Not all struggles can be achieved with strikes (ask NLC). We need change. There are young Nigerians that give me hope about what is needed in this country. Have you registered to vote? How have you contributed to any failing sector be it education, health or road accidents, Jos? Get in touch with the detribalized young people making a change, the struggle for our generation is different and we must seek out ways to create change and it will come albeit slowly. But it will come. you need more than that to solve nigeria sorry |
