the majority of these nollywood movies are produced/directed by the igbos. zeb ejiro/chico ejiro/lancelot imasuen and it's only natural for these men to give the roles to igbo youths. nollywood in itself is too igbocentric. that they speak english doesn't really make it a national cake. let us just assume all english speaking nollywood movies are igbo movies.
Cougar so in your mind the bolded people are igbo?so much ignorance in nigeria.Make Edo/isoko people catch you saying the bolded.

Rubbish. What English speaking actors?
I hate this association of so called English-speaking actors, they are just an exclusive collection of Ibo actors speaking Enlish. There is hardly any difference between this English-speakiing actors and Yoruba speaking actors.
Both groups consist of actors of only a certain tribe, Igbos and Yorubas, the only difference is that the Igbo actors have not started speaking their language in their movies, they are still speaking broken and laughable English.
If they are truly the 'English speaking actors' she said and not a collection of Igbo actors only, then why don't they give roles to non Igbos?
Nigeria is messed up.
The only three major movie industries in Nigeria are for only Yorubas or Igbos or Hausas. Theatre art students that do not belong to any of these three tribes have very little chance of making it to the big screen.
it is obvious you have no idea what you are saying from the bolded.

Actually asha80 it has a lot to do with having access to education really. And yes culture does play a part. A culture of success and praising success.

Funny most of us are praising people though and have nothing to show haha
why i differ is because imo state for eg has the probably same level of education with anambra state BUT their individual successes are quite more than imo state.

And similarly with Anambra and the SE.[/quote]for Ogun i think it is the presence of egba(it seems highly achievement based group) and ijebu(businesswise)

as for anambra it is a case of highest concetration goal oriented and business individuals.

Very good question

It has always baffled me. I know, on average, they have the better schools than any other state in the SW
i doubt if it is about schools or going to school.if it was that then ekiti should be in the lead.

Dude. . . SW Nigeria still sucks @ss. Even if we are doing better than the SE, is that really so impressive? Undecided We aren't doing as well as Brazil or China. Or South Africa. Or Libya. Or Egypt Undecided

We cannot afford to rest at all. Look at Singapore which we were ahead of the 1960s and are now behind. Palm Oil which was a big business in the SW and Nigeria, now Malaysia is the leader (iirc).

Still a lot of work to be done, bruh.

Politics › Re: Suggestions On Jos-plateau State Problems by asha80(m): 10:52pm On Feb 21, 2011
Muza:
Most people in this forum and even Nigeria in general do not understand the real problem in Jos, many rely on the one sided reports they read in newspapers.
Take Lagos for example, Its a yoruba town but there alot of Ibos,Hausas and ppl from several tribes that were born in Lagos, lived their whole life in Lagos and own very big businesses in Lagos, so do u think its fair for the yorubas to try to drive away the other tribes so as to take over their businesses, definitely NO.
The battle in Jos is for the economic power, anybody that has been to Jos before knows of Jos north, that is the economic heart beat of the state, the metropolis, and unfortunately for the beroms the hausa/fulanis dominate the place, they own most of the buildings, filling stations, shops, houses, car dealers, and so many other things,so the beroms want to find a way to drive away the hausa/fulanis so they can take over all these thing, ask your self,is this fair.
Many will ask,how did the Hausa/fulanis acquire this economic power, simple and clear to understand; Anybody that knows berom ppl will know that they are lazy and are drunks, while they were busy lazying about, drinking, gambling, bleeping. . .etc, the Hausa/fulanis were laboring in the hot sun investing wisely, and the investments paid off.
Thats why therez any crisis in Jos, the beroms have less to lose in terms of assets and properties, thats why they almost always start the crisis.
The political power of Jos belongs to the beroms, and the hausa/fulanis have accepted that, they are not doing anything to change that but why is it that the beroms want to reap where they did not sow, this is the problem of Jos.

Anybody that has been to or has stayed in just perfectly knows and understands what i'm talking about.
are you sure about the bolded?if i am not mistaken the yorubas and igbos that live there also exhibit economic power and influence too so focus on hausa fulani?

as for beroms being lazy and drunks i have heard this a lot of times that i am wondering wether it is now the truth

You certainly don't have me talking. I am simply advising.

Some of us have been at gunpoint for the sake of the country several times over and we know that Nigeria must first be re-ordered from the ground up before any street power can become potent. I was a young adult when we stopped tanks trundling down Ikorodu Road from Ikeja military cantonement, with nothing but raw courage and unadulterated determination. People died.
As a student leader, I led many demo's and organised nuff riots, so please keep the "we are afraid" stuff. Our unifying factor at the time was the seething countrywide hatred for IBB, topped by MKO's annulled election.

Put bluntly, your dream is a pie in the sky and a waste of time.
Everything needs a plan and a unifying fulcrum. You have none.
Channel your zeal into learning about the country, many things will make your eyes pop. Channel your zeal, but keep it burning brightly so that it can become the right weapon in a place and at a time of your choosing, and according to well considered strategy.

I don't know why some people are so empty in the head. So because Ijaws attacked Yorubas in Ilaje OPC should go and fight the ijaws, No wonder some tribes will continue  to lose till the world ends. The Yorubas are too wise for that. They fight when it is necessary and when they know the victory is certain. Yorubas fight with their heads and not their tongue. The fact that the militants attacked as a result of the demise of one their men does not warrant a full blown war. It will be investigated and sorted. The battle house of the Yorubas is never in Ondo state. It is in Osun and Oyo. These are the two states that the Yoruba warriors are. Try Ife, Modakeke, ibadan and oyo pple and see whether you will not see full blown war. There are die hards in every tribe, wisdom is just what makes some thicker than others.
my guy look at the thread before you type.it was eku bear that first talked about OPC in this thread unless he is no longer yoruba.

I asked if you are suggesting that regional separation has worked in spain . . . . not for a history lesson.

Because what we are trying to do, and what will favor Ibos in the long run, is getting rid of the regional bull-sh-it!. There is nothing erroneous about my statement on Ibos sectioning themselves. It not new and it has never helped any group, especially when you are dealing with DEMOCRACY -- where majority rules(are supposed to rule). Continuing this idea of sectioning will further alienate Ibos from the system and if that is what you want, then fine.

you are the one that wrote this.relate it to my post.if you understand how spain is being run you will know why i wrote what i wrote.

the catalans and basques region in spain are the wealthiest regions in spain.however we know how these regions view the spanish country or identity especially the basques.i do not think any basque or catalan has ever become prime minister of spain(that is is they are even interested)
The Basque Autonomous Community is currently the wealthiest region in Spain, with gross domestic product (GDP) per capita being 40% higher than that of the European Union and 33.8% higher than Spain's average in 2008, at €31,712 EUR
