The same lies NNEKA went to CNN claiming she is from Warri. Igbos are not from warri. And CNN believe the lies.

My father had more than 1 wife. And same from an average Yoruba man, but Igbo people do not have more than 1 wife in thier life. I have step brother. My father like many wives 3 or 4 . I lost count.

but the igbo culture only allows them to have 1 wife. because bride price is so high. But has a Yorubaman, we pay less than $2. And the parent of the bride would now tell you. They dont sell thier children during the ceremony. but Igbos fathers would take the money and even demand million. most igbo men and women get married very late in life. And dont have children early.

The head of redeemed church in Ontario , Pastor Bowo olagbegi, his father had about 40 wives and nearly 80 children

Well he should suck it up and pray for better times! cool
I doubt if there will be any better times because if this same man gets back to his feet he probably will not have any love whatsoever towards the woman again.

Ujujoan:
^^^ I'm at a loss there. I suppose we should let our consience dictate that.

People think women are materilistic when they don't want to settle for less but when you really want to think about it, who wants to suffer huh

No woman wants to insult her husband or dis respect him. But is she going to hear 'there's no money' for the rest of her life? I think the man must have done something to deserve the insults. Who knows maybe he's lazy, maybe he's stingy, maybe he doesn't step up to his responsibilities. Respect is earned you know . . .
You are not there to know so quit assuming. The man must always be the problem for you.

Tell us why after so many decades, a minority like GEJ is inside Aso Rock and never the loud mouth and brain box,

Na delusions and inability to see yourselves and reality on the ground is what's killing you people,

I'm not even dissing or getting tribal, this is straight talk about Nigeria and our realities, you can make it tribal if you want of course.
the catalan and basque region in spain are the most economically prosperous region in spain but they have never and probably can never hope to become prime minister of spain.

Obasanjo became the president of nigeria for 8 yrs how did that affect the average yoruba person?

Northerners have been preident of the country for more than half of the countries independence. How is the average northerner?

GEJ is now president. How is it affecting the average ijaw man?

As expected, it's the same delusional brainless tribal noise void of reality.

There's a reason why you are inconsequential and marginal in the scheme of things in Nigeria, it's the same worthless, irrelevant and shallow mindset pervasive in your communities, you can not even become a freeking president in your own freeking country and you have the nerve to run mouth about your brain and useless money.

And the saddest part is the silly claim that you help develop other people's land as if that's some badge of honor, where is the sense and wisdom in that?. especially when your own villages are 50yrs behind time.

lol @ refinery and economic power house, Your economic power crap can even rival ordinary Ogun state.

Your brain is on paper, not in reality or on the ground.

Like I said, I shake my head at some o the daft and illiterate comments I read on this site.

A soccer fan has been confirmed dead following disagreement between the supporters of Chelsea and Spartak Moscow in Tuesday‘s UEFA Champions League match, the News Agency of Nigeria reported on Wednesday.

The Rivers State Police Command, which confirmed the death on Wednesday, also said that some houses were burnt in the Gokana Local Government Area where the incident occurred.

Six persons lost their lives in Ahoada Local Government of Rivers in 2009 when Barcelona won the UEFA Champions League.

A bus driver and a supporter of the opposing club, Manchester United, rammed his vehicle into a group of Barcelona fans celebrating the 2-0 win, killing the six.

Police spokeswoman Rita Abbey said that youths from B-Dere and K-Dere communities of Gokana Local Government Area clashed while watching the match.

She said the youths disagreed on the 2-0 outcome of the match in favour of Chelsea.

Abbey said one person was killed and the police had arrested five.

“Existing mobile police presence in the area has been reinforced to bring the crisis under control.

“Ten police vehicles with mobile policemen have also been deployed to the communities on Wednesday morning,‘‘ she told NAN.

Weapons like machetes and cudgels were used freely during the fisher. Abbey said the two communities had in the past clashed over a piece of land and that the outcome of the UEFA Champions League match escalated the crisis.

She said investigation into the cause of the clash had commenced.

Police spokesperson said five persons had already been arrested in connection with the fracas, even as she vowed that the police would not leave any stone unturned to ensure that those involved in the fight would be made to face the consequences of their action.

She also confirmed that some houses were burnt during the clash between the two communities and added that a team of policemen rushed to the areas to stop the fight.

You have talked about politically zero, I have been to south-western caves called states of oyo, ondo, osun, ekiti. Tell me the essence of political power if the power cannot translate to better the lives of the pple. Check the statistics today, u will still be amazed that you will still see mud houses in the capital cities of SW state even in the 21st century. I think its a clear case of generationally cursed people. What have Obj done to better the lives of Yoruba pplle who is trailing right behind their almajiri brothers from the north in begging spree with plates on their hands in the streets of lagos and other SW states. I can assure you that the little life in those SW were created by the Igbos. Igbo are like the oyibos in the SW. I can assure you that Igbos were even better of without the power, even far better economically than those of you who have been in power. You were still stitting down tied wrapper round your waist when, the first indigenous private vehicle manufacturing plant was commission in Anambra state, under your very nose the largest drug manufacturing plant in Africa was also commission by the president in Awka Anambra state. Anambra is the only state that have first private refinery today in Nigeria. What is political power without economic power. So what we are building in Anambra is economic power house. Asian Tigers, China, Japan and the rest of them built their economy from the scratch to becom industralised nations. So you go back to your caves in ekiti and find out what is wrong with you pplle that made your brains only adaptable to textbooks without practicalising it, like you have seen in Anambra,
I do not think that has taken off.

Hercules have a point, must we privatise everything before they can work. Remember that there was a time things were run by private companies before govt started running them.

The normal way systems are run is for individuals and private entities to start up a task and at a point when expansion seems to be overwhelming govt takes over.

If privatisation is the best solution pls can we kindly privatise the govt, allow people and foreign investors take charge of Nigeria, then the NNPC, universities and everything will be ok.

Netoste is it the roads or education or health facilities that are not capital intensive, or do u have any idea how long it will take to reconstruct all the major highways in d country, or build a railway and how long it wld take to recover the said funds.

This would bring us back to the 7point agenda, yaradua understood the problems beyond having light to power tvs and industries but solving the problem wholistically.

The reason people especially d obj govt could make a waste of monies spent in the power sector was because of lack of legal framework for the funds to be used.
secondly u can not just build power stations in a community or area that is not accessible by road, you need qualified personnel to build this projects what about the security of the individuals and infrastrucyure.

The roadmap of the power sector has to be taken into consideration with the 7 point agenda, can you solve power without peace in the Ndelta, can u move heavy equipments from ports to the locations they are needed on bad roads.

Power is not our biggest challenge unemployment is.
Please tell me how you effectively tackle unemployment without power?

The former governor of Imo State, Chief Achike Udenwa, yesterday tendered an unreserved apology to the people of the state over his role in installing Chief Ikedi Ohakim as governor of the state in 2007.

Udenwa, however, admitted stopping the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate Senator Ifeanyi Araraume’s ambition in 2007. He regretted for working against him, stating that it was his opposition that paved way for Ohakim to emerge as a governor of the state under the platform of Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA).
