So many Nigerians are like a slave who sees the chains on his neck and legs as a beauty bracelets. To them Kanu is a coward, and they prefer to remain chained in poverty and misgoverned to their freedom, anything that will bring Kanu down is accepted even if it means rapin their mothers. They are happy to know that their government has discovered IPOBS sponsors, bank accounts etc under two weeks but can't ask why Boko Haram sponsors and bank accounts are yet to be discovered after many years. I weep for NIGERIA.
When a person has already had their mind conditioned for slavery, it is hard to make them see that freedom is not the enemy.

People who talk about restructuring are those who are asking for a bigger cell from the small one they already have.

But people like Kanu, they are talking about leaving the jail entirely

this effervesce double standard. If that had happened somewhere in the north, won't have been hasty to place it on a certain group?
If it had happend in the North it would have been a different issue because there is a history of killing Igbos in the North. There is no history of killing Northerners in the East

Kanu wasn't only talking, he walking the walk. You people kept saying it was just a threat . Are you saying it was wrong for a government to be proactive in the face of security challenges?
There is nothing wrong with the government being proactive but it must be by the law. This is democracy, the President is not allowed to use the Nigerian Army to invade anybones house. That is the job of the police. The military is not a crime fighting unit. What you hear the government say about fighting kidnapp abd crime with opration Python dance is all nonsence because the constitution does not the military the power to fight crime.

If someone says he's coming to kill you, so you'd wait until he carries out that act before act?

I no you're intelligent, but this should not come from you.
If someone says they will kill me, I will protect myself by any means necessary but I will not go and start looking for the person to kill him over mere threat

Did you see any picture released of petrol explosives? Besides, do you think that it if Kanu was into producing explosives, he would hide such a thing in the same house he sleeps in and risk his life? There are many bushes he could hide such things but he chose to hide something that can take his own life in his own house. Lol

nnamdi kanu shouldn't have violated the bail terms, he shouldn't have formed an army, he shouldn't have threatened to stop anambra election.....If I were in buharis shoes I would even make sure that someone like kanu is locked away until my regime is done. hope u know that he threatened to behead buhari? which even a pastor with take likely with.
That Nnamdi Kanu violating his bail condition is a non issue. The courts gave him bail and it is up to the courts to revoke the bail. It is strictly a court matter. Kanu never formed an Army. That some people are wearing berets and saluting themselves does not mean they are an Army. Are Boyscouts or boys Brigade Armies? An Army has to armed.

Kanu never threatend to stop the Anambra elections. What he said is that he will urge the people to boycott the elections so that elections would not hold. Election boycott is legal

He also never anything about beheading Buhari, what he said in Igbo is "I will bring back the head of Buhari" which is an Igbo proverb that means he will defeat Buhari in court.

As far as Im concerned, Kanu did nothing wrong.
PoliticsRe: An Advice To IPOB: Peace Is Vital by attackgat: 4:54pm On Sep 25, 2017
Nnamdi Kanu is talking about referendum not war. Abia state was very peaceful until Buhari came with opration Python dance to cause trouble.

We now know that opration Python dance is illegal because the President had no powers to order the military to go into a peaceful area to do the job of the police.

Nobody seems to be talking about Igbo presidency. Even Obasanjo who said Igbos should prepare for 2019 is not sincere about it. The North already said power will come to their region in 2019, while the South is already warming up in 2023. When will we have a president of Igbo extraction?
Igbos are not particularly clamouring for the presidency of Nigeria, there many things that are more important than that.

Personally, I dont think Kanu is dead. I believe that he will show up for his court date

tell me the operational base of herdsmen, their leaders, where they burn down a police station, where they frisk travellers bus to see people of other tribe to kill, show me where they confronted the military or prevent them from passing , where they promised to tear Nigeria down in 24hrs , the tribe that's the object of attack of herdsmen, etc, then I'd tell you what they're.
Lets dispel some assumptions here. IPOB did not burn down any Police station, those who live around the station have since told the story of what led to the burning of the station by a mob who had initially gone there for help

As much as we did see a video of some young men asking if there were northerners on the bus, it is hasty to jump to the conclusion that the boys were IPOB members or if they were looking for Northerners because they wanted to kill them. So far, I have not heard of any Northerner killed

As for confronting the military or not allowing them to pass, thats too shallow of a reason to call people terrorists.

Threatening to burn Nigeria down, who doesnt make threats? The question is if the threat was carried out.

You may be seeing it in another prism but I tell you the angle you're seeing it may be totally wrong and not on the face of constitution has claimed. The Army did not invaded his father's residence for fun or outright disobedient to court order or on a show. The Nigerian Army has stated reasons for the invasion and the intent of its proscription but you guys intentionally put eyes away from the reasons. One of the issues raised was Nnamdi Kanu establishing Security outfit, BSS and National Guard which is against any known law but at the local level and international. UN Convention never anticipated agitators establishing security outfit to press home self determination but Nnamdi Kanu openly formed it and told the world BSS would be the one guarding BIAFRAN land. Even the dullest govt will not tolerate govt inside govt. it's his greatest undoing to go form security guard and outfit openly. He should have done it secretly because that power he has not gotten it. That act alone means he's calling for war and you know one of the duties of Army worldwide is defending the national and sovereignty integrity of its nation. You don't expect them to fold arms till they grow and become what we have in Borno State. It was the same laxity that birth Boko Haram, because they were initially treated with kid's glove and it snowball to a National Problem gulping monies and attracting world attention.
The proscription may be wrong but the proactiveness is needed to stem untold future menace. He was ill advised to have formed that outfit, he should have just be doing it with civility and he will gain more sympathisers than condemnation.
The important thing is what the constitution says. The costitution clearly says what the Army can be used for and what it cannot be used for. The Army cannot be used to do the job of the police. The formation of BSS is not illegal, any group can buy berets, call themselves what the like and salute each other. If the authorities are concerned about the group, the Police should investigate.

But a situation whereby Buhari decides that BSS will one day take up arms and orders the military to invade Kanu's home, shoot people and arrest others is not only wrong but illegal on several grounds.

To suppprt tbis means that whoever the president of Nigeria is, all he needs to do is to think that someone might take up arms and send the Army after the person.

It was illegal to send the Army after Kanu, thats not the constitutional role of the Army

Well, if he is in hiding and deliberately refuses to tell his sureties, that would imply that he is a man of very questionable character because then he would be knowingly putting his sureties crebility and assets at risk. He at least owes them the right to know that he is alive, and his whereabouts. These people put their reputations and assets on the line on his behalf to secure his conditional release. It would be unfair to them. Very unfair.
What is actually unfair is the Nigerian Army violating the constitution by invading the residence of Kanu in what can be termed Military gangsterism, shooting up the whole place, then rushing the next day to pronounce IPOB a terrorist group. The same Army did not release any details about the military operation in Kanu's house but the video of the enormous amount of shooting in the place is on youtube.

Why hasnt the Nigerian Army released any report about the invasion of Kanu's house? They are good at rushing to shoot unarmed people and gun down Kanu's Dog but they cant say anything about what transpired at Kanu's residence.

This is a big joke

Yes, Nigeria doesnt work but let us go about the agitations for our separate nations peacefully. I am confident that if the rest of Nigeria {South} continues to prevail on the North, they would have no choice but to allow for a restructuring of the Federation and/or dissolution of the country.
I laugh. The North is never going to allow one inch of Nigeria to be restructured, neither are they going to allow Nigeria to disintegrate.

A lot of 'restructuring noisemakers' in the south of Nigeria dont yet know that they are in prison. It is only when the North slams the door on restructuring they will finally realise what Ojukwu realised 50 years ago, that ONE NIGERIA only means slavery to the North

Thats why those in the south who mock IPOB now will gnash their teeth later.

Come and get restructuring from the North lets see if you wont be even worse than IPOB get it.

I dont care what anyone says, Igbos and Igbo land must become independent of this illegal and fraudulent 1914 British colonial arrangement commonly refered to as Nigeria!

I find it highly insulting and embarrasing that Gambia of just 1.8 million people, less than the population of the city of Onitsha, is an independent country but my 45 million strong Igbo nation is still being made to sing a national flop called ONE NIGERIA

There must be a referendum and we Igbos are going to exit this colonial contraption called Nigeria.
