nope, oil isnt our only source of revenue,we make money from royalties and duties, taxes etc, nigeria has a 170 million, and every body pays his/her tax directly or indirectly, when all these money are coalated,it runs far more than a paltry $30 billion.its simple logic.
Nigeria has very big solid minerals deposits, Limestone from Ewekoro is still being mined today by WAPCO-Lafarge cement, it's been on before my father was born. Benue cement, Ashaka cement, Dangote cement, that have their own Limestone mines in other far away parts of Nigeria.

Nigeria also has oil sand Bitumen deposits that is not counted with oil and not controlled by OPEC production quota, our Bitumen in Ilaje Ondo is among the largest in the world and how many solid minerals do you want to count in Nigeria? Government gets royalties everyday and our VAT revenue is huge with the biggest economy in Africa.

Giant in population, Giant in dollars, Giant in GDP, Giant in economic growth rate, Giant in intelligence, Giant in international influence, Giant in arts and science, Giant spiritually and physically....that is Nigeria for you !

The ATR-42 is maritime surveillance aircraft.

And that's what it is a maritime surveillance aircraft, with long range maritime surveillance and identification capabilities. Other secondary tasks might include ISTAR and SAR(Search and rescue).

Much of its capabilities can be found in the Super Lynx helicopters operated by SAAF, the Lynxes even have better sensors.

Bloggers make Nigerian believe things are advanced and exclusively operated by NAF, when in turn other air forces like SAAF have been using those since the 80s.

The SAAF Super Lynx helicopters which operate on-board the Valour class frigates, have a radar with a range of 300km+.

.
....and your Valour Frigates will leave the ocean and sail on dry land into cities like C.A.R. Bangui so that their Lynx helicopters can use radar there? Fool !

Anyway, how much endurance does Lynx have airbone to compete with ATR-42 ? How many computers and sophisticated electronic consoles does your tiny Lynx have to compete with a huge ATR-42 ?

Your Lynx helicopter is a toy for kids, when compared to our mighty ATR-42 Surveyor.

Go sit down men !

MikeCZAR:
That is maritime radar.
Nope, surface search radar, NAF has been using ATR-42 radar against Boko Haram, or how did you think NAF Alpha jets destroyed 100 Boko Haram vehicles simultaneously in few hours?

SAAF has no such capability so you will never know how it's done, modern day ISTAR war is a big mystery to every South African military man

Out dated information. If you're gonna use information from army guide, I'll use it too.

The same site says the SA army has 1000 Ratel-ZTA3.
Every army's official website is final authority and superior to any private website information.

Each army knows it's own true capability, you can live and feed on wrong data if you wish. Your problem, not mine.

Not to mention that the back doors contain the fuel tanks

Take a hit there and all the infantry are trapped inside.
Those are extra fuel tanks for long distance traveling in safe zones, they are not used to store fuel in combat zone, you forgot that Russians are 100 times more intelligent than South Africans, reason why your Pretoria government is begging them to build spy satellite and nuclear reactors for you.

1 Russian brain = 100 South African brains that have BSc degree

Yep. It all so got very thin armour. Max is 13mm. That means it not like it will stand up to much fire. Those BH 14.5mm MGs can still get through that armour.
No, you are wrong ! BMP-2 has 33mm armour and Boko Haram 23mm cannon CANNOT penetrate.

You just write rubbish about any weapon that is not South African.

BMP-2 will destroy Rooivalk, Ratel, Badger....you have no Badgers anyway, but if it ever comes, Nigerian BMP-2 will kill it

Since when is the BMP2 mighty and powerfully? Since when would that worry us one tinny bit. I mean go look at angola and see how many BMP2s thaey have and for how long they have had them. I mean please bragging about a BMP. You desprate now.
1980-1990s BMP-2 is not same technical specs as 2000s versions, the modern day BMP-2 has modern anti-tank missiles, anti-aircraft missiles, counter measure defenses, laser range finders, day-night vision infra red periscopes with image magnification, smoke canister defenses, 4km range ground combat 30mm cannon, 3km range anti-aircraft 30mm cannon to blew a Rooivalk into pieces....

South African Badger IFV which do not have yet, cannot match a modern BMP-2 IFV, Russia has thousands of them still today 2014, and Nigeria now has them too ! Go hide under your bed man ! NA is gonna roast SANDF, Oplot-M and T-72 tanks all flowing into Naija, and we will test them in battle before we turn them on you for the day of SANDF's liquidation by demolition

Mechnical issue. Pilot saved the chopper and lives on board.
Nope, it was SAAF pilot error, and the next SAAF helicopter crash in Kruger park, your pilot died and 5 air force officers all died.

Next pilot error, two 'well trained' SAAF pilots flew a Rooivalk helicopter into city electricity poles in broad daylight shocked

SAAF is far less competent than Zimbabwean air force that Nigeria trained shocked

Nigerian airforce does not train
LOL, NAF trains with PAF, NAF fires F-7 jet missiles against the PAF jets, we have special PL-9C training missiles, and we get all the Pakistani air to air jet combat experience they had fighting Indian air force.

SAAF trains alone sharing their almost zero air to air experience among themselves, blind leading blind, and your Gripens have NO training rounds IRIS-T missiles, so you NEVER fired a missile before on your Gripens, LOL, the SAAF Gripens have NO missiles for combat training, you just take off and land again at the airport in Soweto nation, managing the little drops of aviation fuel you have in your nearly empty aircraft fuel tanks.

NAF is more air to air jet fighter combat capable now than SAAF....Proved Fact !

And remember, you wanted me to post my passport here
Newspaper from my local region reveals my state and city, am not going to reveal that on a public internet forum, because some curious Soweto motherfvcker will google list of PMCs in that city and find out the exact name of my company and all the office address plus phone numbers, and then my cover is blown off....personal ID data revealed...and what da fvck...!

NATO has the fighters to protect AWACS you don't

And you don't have a data-link... So how will you relay information?
F-7 jets will protect ATR-42.

Nigerian data-links work more than those fakes in South Africa.

How does NAF ATR-42 give our NN Shaldag sea boats the target location of pirates at sea for interception? Answer is Data-Links

Shale is a failure in the making, a very expensive resource to extract by mining, very complex and frustrating.

If victory for Fapla and the Cubans meant the loss of 4,600 men, 94 tanks, 100 armoured vehicles, 9 aircraft and other Soviet equiptment valued at more than a billion Rands, then they'd won." - Lt Gen Deon Ferreira

Cuba defeated South Africa, FACT.

Also the Cuban military had ZERO war experience while South African military had lots of war experience from World War I, World War II, and Korean war which you SA guys always boast about here claiming you fought against Germany and North Korea plus Soviet Union. Now you want to deny your famous war experience and claim to be mere novices like Cuba. Liar !

The Military Defeat of the South Africans in Angola
[/size]

by Professor Horace Campbell

topics: History places: Africa, Angola

Horace Campbell is Professor of African American Studies and Political Science at Syracuse University. He is the author of Global NATO and the Catastrophic Failure in Libya: Lessons for Africa in the Forging of African Unity (Monthly Review Press, forthcoming), as well as Rasta and Resistance: From Marcus Garvey to Walter Rodney (1987) and Barack Obama and 21st Century Politics: A Revolutionary Moment in the USA (2010).

"In Angola in the spring of 1988 the armed forces of apartheid South Africa and the US-backed mercenaries of Jonas Savimbi were defeated by the combined force of the Cuban military, the Angolan army, and the military units of the liberation movements of South Africa and Namibia. This led directly to the independence of Namibia and then to the fall of the apartheid regime in South Africa itself. Cuba’s heroic role is the outstanding example of principled anti-imperialist internationalism in the last decades of the twentieth century."

84% of our population has electricity supply, up from 74% during the 2004-2008 period.

Yet again, we beat you hands down

So 70% of your people have NEVER seen one flicker of an electric bulb in their lives.

There are NO such people in Nigeria, we got independence in 1960 and ECN to NEPA to PHCN connected every household to national grid over time, and if any small hamlet misses national grid, they have a Tiger electricity generator and fuel is flowing like water, they produce their own electricity till we connect them.

South Africa got freedom from white-man's cage in 1994 and you have not finished clearing the mess of your wasted generation, of which those 15 million people are a part of the victims of your Boer White master's inhumanity to man grin grin

No you dont.

South Africa has 89 combat helos - each and every one is 100% confirmed

Nigeria has 101 known combat helos

SANDF size: 89 000

Ratio of men to helos: 921 men per helo

Nigerian Armed forces: 130, 000

Ratio of men to helicopters: 1287 men per helo

We are still the more air-mobile force
Combat helicopters, I mean armed assault or attack, not transports.

SAAF = 10 Rooivalks

NAF = 30 Hinds and Terminators 2013, 2 of 6 extra delivered 2014, 40 extra ordered Russia 2014, 12 extra ordered Belaruss 2014.

NAF will be = at least 88 armed assault/attack helicopters by 2015.

48% of your population has no acess to electricity
http://data.worldbank.org/indicator/EG.ELC.ACCS.ZS

That means approx 83 million Nigerians have never seen a light-bulb in their lives

How does 15 = 83?

And no, you will never catch up. We are growing our capacity faster than you are cool
30% of South Africans have no electricity AT ALL.....they have NEVER see a light bulb in their lives as at today 2014 grin

World Bank does not have accurate data on Nigeria. They made errors on our poverty rate and complain of no data.

There is no place in Nigeria without electricity connected, irregular supply is the problem.

The Nigerian's you talk about have irregular electricity supply, not that they have never seen it before like the 15 million lost South Africans who suffer in the midst of plenty, their country produces more electricity than most of Africa, yet they never get to a see a light buld till they grow old and die....what a foolish country South Africa is, so great ineqiuality and yet you say you are advanced like Europe.

Have you seen an European country where 15 million people have ZERO electricity supply? You claim to be more advanced than Russia grin
