hypocrisy in display,you only care about liberating yourself from foriegn religion,i guess you wld also liberate yourself from western education;science and technology,liberate yourselves from always having to run to Britain,USA etc for medical tourism and of course liberate yourself from always using your lap-top to spew trash...why is it that all you who are seeking for liberation from the west are only kin on religion,but loves going to the west to copy everything and proudly set the west as example whenever you want to critcise government!You cant force African religion on people,those who have seen the LIGHT,will most likely stick with the LIGHT...if African religion offers you succour,good for you!

I dont ve problem with the so-called prophet Oladimeji being a member of Ogboni.Ogboni is part of the yoruba traditional settings,so if he wants to stick to his ogboni good for him but calling himself a prophet and relating his association with christianity is totally unacceptable and amounts to defamation.Since the Holy bible made it clear that our God is a jealous God and he cannot share his glory with other gods,Oladimeji should proudly stick to his Ogboni and build his temple or shrine where he offers solution to his victims sorry,i mean his clients rather than using christianity as a cover.

Letter threatens abduction of schoolgirls in Nasarawa

The Nasarawa State government yesterday confirmed reports of a letter purportedly written by Boko Haram insurgents threatening to abduct girls from a school in the state.
The Commissioner for Education, Barrister Yakubu Na’Hauwa, confirmed that there was a letter from Boko Haram to the principal of GSSS, Lafia, threatening to abduct his female students. He said the letter sought the principal’s cooperation with the insurgents to avoid bloodshed during the operation. He could not confirm receipt of such letters by the other schools which were also said to have been written.
“I was not in the state, but I returned to receive a complaint from the principal of GSSS Lafia about the purported threat letter Boko Haram to abduct female students from the school,” he said, adding that he had to urgently instruct the ministry’s permanent secretary to do a formal complaint to the state government, drawing attention to the letter on the need to quickly act on it.
The letters were said to have been received yesterday from dispatch riders who stopped at the gates of three schools in the state. State police spokesman ASP Ismaila Umaru said his office had no information on the incident and did not confirm the threat letters.

I started this thread and i thought after the Nigeria Match,i could come back and appraise the situation of things,but as it is now,am totally bruised,battered and my morale is very low...why do super Eagles hurt Nigerians so much?i cant even take a bottle of Heineken,it now taste so bitter in my mouth!How i wish i can smoke weeds,i wld ve done that and high my spirit with some cheap drugs.I cant believe its all over for us and just may be in the next four yrs we may play under a different nation(say Biafra rep,Niger delta rep,Odua Rep,middlebelt rep or Arewa rep)God forbid!!!

Obiano Commissions Nigeria’s First Building Materials Testing Laboratory

Worried by the spate of building collapses in the state, Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has
opened what is widely believed to be the first Building and Construction Materials Quality Control Laboratory in Nigeria.
In a brief ceremony at the weekend to mark the commissioning of the ultra-modern facility sited in the premises of the Ministry of Works, Awka, the governor expressed hope that with this interventionist effort, the saga of building collapses in the state would soon be consigned to the past.
According to him, the facility, has over 120 equipment for testing various materials to ensure a comprehensive compliance to standards. Chief Obiano observed that with the facility, the incidence of structural failures which lead to the collapse of buildings, road and other infrastructures would come to an end in Anambra State.
The governor however warned that any builder or construction engineer who fails to submit his materials for testing in the laboratory runs the risk of having his building or any project under construction pulled down by the relevant authorities as his administration would no longer fold its hands and watch citizens die on account of someone’s carelessness.
The governor also ordered the immediate removal of all structures leaning on approved original building plans and made it clear that very soon, when the relevant authorities embark on the dismantling of such structures, it would be accompanied by severe penalties ranging from outright prosecution to the payment of heavy fines including the eventual cost of dismantling them by the authorities.
He also enjoined builders to maintain the specified set-back from road as government would not hesitate to demolish any structure sited on a set-back.
Earlier in his opening remarks, the Commissioner for Works, Hon. Callistus Ilozumba said the laboratory would be managed through a public-private partnership arrangement between the State government and a private firm.
Hon. Ilozumba further explained that in accordance with specification, construction materials would be pre-tested before they get to the project sites and quality control test conducted while the projects are in progress.
He called on all the stakeholders to continue to give support towards the realization of the goal of the project. In his own remarks on behalf of public-private partners, Mr. Ebosie Ezeoke disclosed that the laboratory would provide service for testing sub-soil, soil, concrete, steel, chemical, asphalt and non-destructive test for existing structures.
Also speaking, the Secretary to the Investigation Panel on Collapsed Building, Mr. Emeka Okpala said the Panel was already using the facility to carry out their work on collapsed building.

THE EKITI ELECTION LESSON
I feel heart-broken that some online celebrities have been insulting the good people of Ekiti for voting Fayose over the educated Fayemi. They have being using words like hungry, stomach infrastructure to describe those very educated and sophisticated people. I think it is selfish of these bloggers to begrudge the Ekiti people for receiving rice from Fayose when they had themselves gotten N50,000 from the governor during a so-called tour.
Come to think of it, winning in 16 local governments out of 16 is no fluke. Fine, if they insist Fayose won because he enticed people with rice, that means he must have shared rice to over 203,000 people which is a near impossibility Have these people forgotten that winning elections is about acceptability and doing your homework well? This is something Fayose did. For one, I have always known Fayose to be immensely popular in Ekiti State. His people love him to bits. A man who identifies with the people will be looked up to as a hero by the people. It is simple. Describing Ekiti people as hungry because they refused to vote for Fayemi is fundamentally wrong and rude. You cannot stay in Katsina, Kano, or Crimea and decide for the people of Ekiti.
Amadioha cannot leave Enugu and assume jurisdiction in Igbo-Ora in Oyo State. Check the case of Madukola V. Ndkedilim.
ISSUE OF GIFT SHARING
You see, a lot of APC Twitter Overlords only see that which they want to see. It is common knowledge that almost every politician in Nigeria indulges in sharing of gifts before elections so as to induce voters. It happened in 1993 (Abiola Rice), Obasanjo did it in 1999, Fashola did it in 2011, Akeredolu did it in 2012, Fayemi did it in 2014, Fayose did it in 2014, Aregbesola is doing it now. Tainting Fayose’s victory because of that is demonic and uncharitable.
With the little experience I have had with the electoral process in Nigeria, people will take your gifts and vote for or against you irrespective of your attempt at inducing them. As student at the University of Ibadan, I saw people take former governor Alao-Akala’s wads of cash and yet voted for the now defunct Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN). Alao-Akala even got a brand new Plasma television for my Hall (The Great Independence Hall, UI). We appreciated the gift but yet, he lost in the hall of residence when elections were conducted.
In 2003 when it was glaring that Gbenga Daniel would oust Aremo Olusegun Osoba from office as Ogun State Governor, Osoba shared lots of money to artisans and market women. He shared bread sandwiched with money to kids. Yet, that did not stop him from suffering defeat in the hands of Gbenga Daniel. I can go on and on.
The message here is simple; Fayose won not because he shared rice. He won because he is the choice of the Ekiti people. That must be respected.
PARTING SHOT TO APC
The Anambra, Ondo and Ekiti elections should act as learning curves for the APC toy soldiers; that is if they are ready to learn and are ready to come down from their high plastic horses. Winning elections go beyond ranting on Twitter, spreading propaganda, talking down on other people or hyping people. Serious people who want to win elections go to the grassroots and identify with the voters; people who have no smartphones and do not know neither do they care of the existence of Twitter. Elections are won by meeting real people and not artificial and fake people.
The APC people can keep up with their Twitter Act. I, however, hope they know they should forget any fantasies of winning the Presidential elections next year and should instead focus on not allowing their party crumble after the selection of a presidential candidate. They have failed litmus tests in Anambra, Ekiti and Ondo so far. The APC is not a serious political party, they’re in the political business to party.--------------------Ayokunle Odekunle

In my widely celebrated article, ' Fayemi Lost Ekiti State to Tinubu' ofSunday, 22 June 2014, I stated that now that Ekiti is out of the stranglehold of the political fiefdom of Bola Ahmed Tinubu
- the self-proclaimed and stupendously rich Awoist who dines with the devil and manipulates his people in order to gain a foothold on Aso Rock - My crystal ball now sees Osun and Lagos falling out of the hands of the opposition if theywill never learn vital lessons from the Ekiti election.
Alas, it appears that "with acute ignorance mixed with some baseless arrogance, they are afflicted with some of the most hazardous self-inflicted" inability to imbibe that teachable moment.
Now that Osun election is around the corner, APC seems to have started their baseless propaganda that leads to nowhere.
I read below this afternoon from one of their facebook pundits showing their completely failed to grasp the Ekiti lessons.
Soni Akoji propaganda ran thus:

"He has promised to do it again in a grand style by spending N2 billion of his personal fund in the forth coming gubernatorial election in Osun state in a bid to kick Ogbeni Rauf out and get Iyiola Omisore of the PDP elected as the next governor in the August 9th election. Can he repeat the same in Osun? All these osusu he is sharing, what is his pay-off? I hope we won't witness another Ngige and Chris Uba brouhaha when the governors whose election he financed can no longer keep faith with their agreed sharing formula of the state's monthly allocation from Abuja?

Five Years After; Where Is Lagos N8bn Sunburn Yacht?
Five years ago, the All Progressives Congress (APC) government in Lagos State told the public that it had taken a giant leap in tourism promotion in the State by acquiring a yacht, valued at about N8bn.
The now controversial yacht is an inshore boat hotel.
The Sunborn Yacht Hotel before it berthed in Nigeria, was operated and managed by the ISS Group, UK, with an undisputable signature for service excellence.
The Sunborn Yacht Hotel was Custom built in 1999 and refitted in the year 2002; it combines contemporary class and comfort being 18.4m wide, 106.5m in length and 17.6m in height from the sea level. The edifice with a total of six decks and an interior space of approximately 5000 sq.m will provide a breathtaking ambience for corporate guests, conference delegates, wedding parties and leisure guests to hold their exclusive events when operational.
However, as at today, no one can say precisely what has happened to the yacht and the N8 billion Lagos tax payers money that went into it.
The state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had recently accused the state government of corruption. It challenged the state Governor, Babatunde Fashola, to speak out on the whereabouts of the yacht and the two helicopters bought by his administration for security surveillance of the state.
The state Chairman of the PDP, Mr. Tunji Shelle, while addressing party faithful during the General Assembly of the chapter, had said, “After floating miserably on the Marina water for so long, the controversial Sunburn Yacht, which cost the Lagos State Government, under (former Governor) Bola Tinubu, a whooping N8 billion suddenly disappeared, only to be sighted at Thames in England.
Yesterday, the APC Lagos State Chapter, said the Lagos State Government had quit the Sunborn Yacht Hotel. The party said it was a bad business and the government had abandoned the deal.
The state Interim Publicity Secretary, Mr. Joe Igbokwe, said the state government took a bad business decision on the yacht and had done away with it.
He said, “Every successful investor or businessman will tell you that business is not a bed of roses. He knows business is not all about gains all the time; you gain in some and lose in some. It is the same with governments all over the world. No government anywhere in the world will tell you that it has achieved100 per cent success in every decision it has taken.
“The world will forgive you for taking decisions and making all the mistakes but the world will not forgive you if you do not take decisions at all for fear of failure. LASG has done away with the bad business called the Sunborn Yacht
project. Case rested.”
In November 2008, the Lagos State government through the then commissioner of tourism and Inter-governmental Relations, Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi, took delivery of the worth over 5 Billion Naira Sunborn Yacht, amidst pomp and pageantry.
Senator Afikuyomi while conducting Governor Babatunde Fashola round the Yacht when it arrived Nigeria in November 2008, said the floating hotel was the first of its kind in Africa, which would put the State and Nigeria in the league of the first five major cities of the world with similar hospitable facilities and tourism earnings capabilities, adding that the yacht came to Lagos to turn around the state’s fortune in tourism and hospitality services.
Five years after the state took delivery of the revered Yacht, the much anticipated gains and projections that would put the State and Nigeria in
the league of the first five major cities of the world with similar hospitable facilities and tourism earnings capabilities is yet to be seen.
Now, the question is: who orchestrated this 419 and who were the beneficiaries of this waste of public fund. This is certainly a fraud and Governor Babatunde Fashola must say something he knows about this fraud, failure which he remains an accessory after the fact in the fraud.
At a point, the Lagos State Government, in trying to cover up its culpability in the N8 billion yatch fraud denied any involvement in the purchase of the vessel brought from England and moored on Marina Beach Front since 2008.
At a press conference in Lagos, the commissioner for Tourism and Inter-
Governmental Relations, Mr. Disun Holloway, said the state government had never been involved in the purchase of the N8 billion Sunburn Yacht Hotel.
He said, “As you are also wondering about the disappearance of the Sunburn Yacht so is the Lagos State government. We have said repeatedly that the yacht does not belong to the Lagos State government and never invested in it.
“We heard that the Lagos State government had earlier asked the owners to move the yatch away from the shoreline for security reasons.”
However, the Lagos State government appeared to have forgotten what it told the public in 2008 when it announced its intention to bring the yatch to Lagos.
Then, it was widely reported that the State goverment, in collaboration with Diamond Captial Limited, the investment arm of Diamond Bank Plc was committing about 25 million euros to the floating hotel facility, due for delivery in the third quarter of 2008.
The deal was said to have been initiated by the Babatunde Fashola administration through its Ministry of Tourism and Inter-governmental Relations and bank rolled by Diamond Capital Ltd, the investment banking arm of Diamond Bank Plc and facilitated by MIDC Ltd and Westcom Ltd, two Nigerian venture capital advisory firms.
Speaking at the brief occasion of the Final Sales Contract Signing ceremony for the acquisition which has a Lagos based firm, Planet Project Ltd as Project managers and Consultants at the Board Room of Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, the then Lagos State Commissioner for Tourism and Inter-governmental Relations, Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi who represented Governor Babatunde Fashola at the event described the dream of the Fashola administration to acquire a heritage hotel such as the Sunborn Yacht Hotel as indicative of the administration’s desire to transform the tourism landscape in Nigeria and
assume sector leadership in Africa and beyond saying, “the Hotel we have just
acquired for Lagos with the support of Diamond Capital Ltd will be the first of its kind in Africa and indeed the Middle East and put us in the league of the first
five major cities of the world with similar hospitality facilities and tourism
earnings capabilities. This hospitality facility is the first that was custom built.
“So it is a piece of heritage that we are buying into.”
Afikuyomi, who further ascribed the success of the acquisition bid which saw Lagos beating the cities of Doha and Dubai respectively, two renown tourism destinations in the world, to the inspiring leadership of Governor Babatunde Fashola (SAN), his colleagues at the Water Front, Physical Planning, Justice, Environment, Works and Infrastructure Ministries respectively as well as the
encouraging efforts of the Special Adviser on Taxation and indeed the entire members of the Lagos State Cabinet who bought into the bold vision said, “but for their support, Lagos would not have been able to make this history as the quest by Dubai to acquire a QE2 Boat Hotel would have meant that the first Boat Hotel in the African Continent and the Middle East would have gone first to Dubai . But today, we have positioned Lagos on the world tourism map and the results would be self-evident for all to see”.
As at today, the question is still; where is the yatch and where is the N8 billion Lagosians’ fund?

Thank you.[/quote]hi,i think your problem is a little different from my own,since you can access youtube,all you need to do is to check your google acct and see if you are duly registered,make sure you ve a g-mail acct.while in the playstore move to the free applications and try downloading!as for the movies that has refused to play,i guess you need to download MXplayer from '9apps', 9apps had a lot of free android applications.Mxplayer plays almost every video format...as for downloading from youtube,you need an application know as 'youtube downloader', or 'TubeMate' etc with this you can successfully and easily download videos of your choice from youtube.Wish you the best.

rapcy: if your phone is rooted, download root explorer. U can google it. After downloading and installing root explorer, open it, u will see a folder called etc. Open the etc folder, u will see a file called hosts. Jst delete it or move it to any destination outside the etc folder. Then retry what you wanted to download. U can try it on non-rooted phone and see if it will work. Also make sure your date and time location is correct.

Pls i need help from well informed phone engineers to help me out with a solution on how to solve the problem of inability to download from google playstore and youtube streaming.
Note:i use to download from google playstore and equally stream youtube,but presently any time i try accessing google playstore it get stuck on the way and shows me an error code,'error 504' and i ve tried out different measures to solve this but all to no avail..i ve a friend who is also facing similar problem with his Android phone.Thanks inanticipation.

In the report below, in in which Sahara Reporters aimed its usual filth on the Nigerian Aviation, Ms. Stella Oduah, one can see how Sahara Reporting works. On the surface, you would think that there is a compelling story that is watertight. But not really. Before I say anything further, let me make it clear that I don't work for this woman.
I don't know who she is. She will not give me water if I appear in her office tomorrow. I would say, I care very little about her personally. But, I can educate the average person on how SR uses fact manipulation to play on the minds of an average person and extort money from victims or be paid by those that aim to attack the victim. 
The whole story is based on the claim that: (a) Ms. Oduah claimed to have obtained MBA from the Virginia College. If one can show that she never made that claim, everything else Sahara Reporters wrote will fall like a pack of cards. Right?
First, how do you know that she ever claimed to have MBA from that college? Or are you going to blame her for what Sun Newspaper reported? Maybe! But not so fast!
Let's start from what we know or what we could verify: We can verify whether the particular college ever offered MBA or not. It doesn’t. But that is not the issue. 
Then, let's verify whether the lady claimed (a) that she got MBA and (b) that she obtained it from that college. SR says she did (a) and (b). What is SR's proof? (a) SR says that she stated that in her resume which she allegedly submitted to the Senate for her confirmation hearing. (b) SR says that Sun Newspapers claimed she had an MBA from that college.  
What SR did is an old trick. You create a straw man, and then you shoot him down and pose like a hero that slayed the dragon. Remember what a mother normally does with 2-year old kids. She would point in the corner of the room at an imaginary boogieman. The child will be captivated by the supposed boogieman. Then the mother will take any object nearby and strike at the boogieman. The child will smile to see his brave mother slay the boogieman. That is what SR has done in this report. It created scenarios that were not important and made them look like something hidden that it, the crusader, alone discovered.
Question: What is the proof that Oduah made that claim on the resume she submitted to the Senate? There is no proof provided. For you to dispense with proof, you have to believe SR to be saying the truth. But SR CANNOT be trusted to say the truth about this woman. Why? Read the entire report again. It is clear that SR credits itself with "outing" this woman for corruption. Yet it was known that SR embellished that report it wrote on the Minister in October of last year. So, the reader must go beyond SR to find the truth.
If SR had a copy of the resume of this woman, which it alleges was presented to the Senate, it would normally have exhibited that resume. It is fair to say therefore that SR does not have a copy of that resume. It must be reporting on what it was told by an unnamed person, or better, what its publisher cooked up. 
Secondly, if the resume was submited to the Senate, it would be part of the official documents of the Senate and SR could have obtained a Certified True Copy of what the Senate has in its record. That way, the truth would be clear. But it did not, because it doesn’t exist.
So, the point is that this story that appears to be a bull’s-eye or something big could really be a patched up set of fabrications. 
Before you get carried away by this story, consider the following:
(a) That this woman did not make the claims in any resume contrary to what SR has alleged.
(b) That this woman is not ordinarily responsible for what Sun Newspaper might thane written.
(c) That there is no other occasion where this woman is said to have made the same claim. In her recent appearance before the House of Representative in November of 2013, she fully described her educational background and there was no claim about the MBA from the Virginia College. So, how come that she wrote her resume for only one occasion?
(d) That SR might have been on a vendetta against this woman, not as a journalist reporting facts as they occurred, but as a propagandist shaping those facts to arrive at an agenda.
(d) That this woman has enemies that could have bought SR to peddle these fabrications. And SR has previously been known to lie and fabricate stories based on who paid for such fabrication.
(e) That, indeed, if you look closely at what Sahara Reporters wrote, you would see vividly the trick. SR wrote in its own words as follows:

The above is the story of SR. SR presented the statement above as if it all was something that Mr. Oduah said or wrote. But look at the above statement again carefully. What do you notice? Not all of it was in quotation mark. The quoted part are supposed to be her statement. The portion that is not quoted were supplied by SR.

A realistic look at the above statement would show that:
Oduah said: “[Oduah] realized very early in life the indispensability of a sound education in her growth plans in life and therefore pursued her education with all diligence and sense of purpose,”  ……..“to have the best education at the highest level”

The following part of that statement above was supplied by SR:
SR added: [her documents claimed, adding that a determination]….. [prompted her stay at the Virginia College in 1983 for the MBA programme.].
If you examine the above, you would see that it was SR that added “MBA from Virginia” to Oduah’s resume statement.
Further, if you look at even the statement in quote, supposedly written by Oduah, it has a phrase such as “…pursued her education…”. The “her” in that statement means that it might not have been written by Oduah herself. Otherwise, it would have been “my” instead of “her”.

  Also, note the following statement by SR:
As her public relations machinery marched on, in December 2012 The Sun newspaper published an article headlined “Stella Oduah: An Amazon of transformation,” which lauded her “MBA from St Paul’s College, Lawrenceville Virginia USA.”  The story also praised her for being an official who brought her “rich educational background to bear on the aviation sector by automating revenue centers in all the agencies and parastatals to boost their revenue profile and enhance transparency and accountability in the system.”
What does SR mean by: “As her public relations machinery marched on..”? How did SR know that the story published in Sun Newspaper was not something written by Sun Newspaper journalists and reporters on their own? How did it become “her public relations machinery?” . And if SR was sure that it was not Sun Newspapers journalist that wrote that story, why didn’t SR mention the names of the people that comprised “her public relations machinery” since it knew what they were doing?
I bothered to point those few instances and pattern of manipulation of facts by SR. I know SR first hand. I know what it did in my case. Concealing a personal vendetta towards me, it lied one thousand times against me. It clamed that an American court found me guilty of stealing. It claimed that I was going to go to jail in America. It peddled such falsehood to the gullible members of the Nigerian public who bought it hook, line and sinker. It is peddling similar lies against this woman, hoping that the gullible Nigerians would buy it. What SR is not revealing to Nigerians is how much money it was paid to attack this woman. And one must have noticed how the SR publisher tries to blackmail the Nigerian Senate into investigating the story it fabricated. This is not journalism. This is gutter attempt to extort money from this Minister or to give value to those that paid SR to spread this propaganda.

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State is due in New Jersey/New York, USA on Saturday, 04/01/2014 to parley with Nigerians especially Imolites on the recent political development in Nigerian. He is expected to defend his defection to APC and why he thinks that APC will best serve the interest of Imo people and Nigerians. That's all for the visit.
But the people of Imo State do not see the rational for the visit if his visit is simply to sell APC considering that he did not remember Imo indigenes in diaspora when he ran for Governor in 2011. Why is it that the Governor considers it expedient to embark on such trip this time and at whose expense?  
Smart Imolites have laid ambush for him because they are not interested in APC or PDP but in good governance of their state and Nigeria. They intend to raise the bar and demand explanation on the Agbaoso hog wash impeachment saga, Award of contract to his Arab/Lebanese cronies that abandon the job soon after at the expense of indigenous contractors who are ready to do the job for our people. They will also want to know why Catholic Bishop of Owerri Archdiocese Bishop Obinna and a good number of Imo indigene are not happy with him?
Okorocha may not be able to explain the last poser. The event at National Mosque in Abuja on the 15th day of November, 2013 explains it all. Governors Okorocha, Wamako and Aliyu as well as former Governor Orji Kalu joined other Muslim faithful in a special Jumat service to welcome 18 Muslim converts mainly of Igbo extraction majority of whom came from Okorocha's Imo State.
The converts who were all male within the ages of 25 and 35 years said they accepted Islam because it is a “truthful, peaceful and charitable faith.”
Ibrahim Ukah, formerly Uchenna Ukah and a younger brother of a fellow convert, Tobechi Ukah, now Abdullahi Ukah from Imo State were the spoke persons of the new converts.
According to Leadership online, the commencement of Friday prayers at the mosque on that fateful day was unusually late as the converts were given priority when Islamic rites were administered on them for 30 minutes.
The converts were led by the NTA Owerri host of “Islamic calling in Igbo language” Alhaji Muhammad Kabir Orjiegbulam.
Governor Okorocha who spoke in Hausa described the occassion as an important turning point in the growth of Islam in the eastern heart land and later led other Governors to raise a total sum of N13m for the converts. Gov Aliyu and Wammako contributed N5m each, Okorocha N2m and Orji Kalu N1m. Other dignitaries present donated various sums but it was not clear whether the target sum of N18m meant for the 18 converts was realised.
It was alleged that Okorocha has concluded plans with his Lebanese cronies to build standard mosque in Owerri and Okigwe in Imo State.
The news of what happened at National Mosque, Abuja was agog everywhere and every other person in Imo State started grumbling. Two weeks later, Gov Okorocha joined other Catholics at Assumpta Cathederal for the commemoration of Christ the King marking the begining of season of Christmas and Advent in Catholic calendar. But Bishop Obinna gave him mouth full. He thoroughly reprimanded him for reckless use of Imo State money for selfish reasons and equally denied him the opportunity to also speak from the pulpit as privileged laity like Governor or President are occasionally allowed. The Bishop told him to learn from the experience of rejected ex Governor Ikedi Ohakim.
It is extremely difficult to discern the mindset of Gov Okorocha. Of what benefit is all these showmanship? Can Governor Wammako of Sokoto State or Gov Aliyu of Niger State come to Onitsha, worship at the Basillica of Holy Trinity and cap it with donation to Christian converts? The answer is No. Capital NO, over their dead body.
I want to believe that Islam is a good religion, but two faced sleeping muluanya is a path too dangerous and too expensive for Okorocha to follow. It long expired during the period and age of Jesus Christ and the Pharisees. One should either blow hot or cold, no lukewarm is acceptable. A typical Hausa/Fulani Moslem does not respect an Igbo man one bit even if that person converts to Islam, used all the money in the state coffers to propagate the interest of Islam. They will never trust him and many are surprised if not shocked that Okorocha at his age and experience does not understand that. If Okoroch like, let him turn Dan Anyiam Stadium to Nigeria Medina, it will not add anything to his personality, to them and in their false self righteousness, pork eating unbeliever is unbeliever, Iyamiri is Iyamiri period, the deep rooted unilateral and unwarranted  hatred is there unto eternity.
Then, why disgrace oneself, why cause pain to your people that once loved and trusted you because you want to step up to national prominence? Ask President Jonathan, Ask former President Obasanjo and they will tell you that it is God not men no matter their influence that raises Kings.
Talking of conversion to Islam, one is not perturbed because there is economic sense for a jobless youth of Igbo extraction to smile home with N1m after just 30 minutes of ceremony and exchange of banters with Governors. No doubt their body will be there but their spirit will be far away, with eyes set at the end result... the N1m cash already promised them. At the back of their mind, they appreciate that majority of Igbo traders that made it big today started with something less. That the Igbo industrious and enterprising spirit will make things happen for them. Get the cash first  and wait and see if Police will come and arrest them for not coming to Mosque thereafter.
The whole thing is comical and it is a win win situation for the converts and the facilitator Mr... sorry Alhaji Muhammed Kabir Orjiegbulam who no doubt will insist on his commission. The whole thing is a scam but in the surface it shows that the resources being spent on the  NTA sponsored program in Imo State is yielding fruits and that it is not a waste after all.
Like most Nigerian villages, I have jobless impoverished youths in my village. Impoverished not because they are not hard working but because visionless leaders in the mould of Sharia Governors as seen in the National Mosque made the widespread poverty in the land inevitable. I will get in touch with Orjiegbulam, may God spare his life not just Orji, when next such circus comes up again, I will send unemployed youths from my village. But there will be assurance that all APC Governors MUST be there. Okorocha, Wamakko and Aliyu are stingy after all it is not their personal money. It is state money, peoples money. Donation in hundreds of millions to converts next time around makes better sense. The paltry N1m per convert of Nov 15 can not pay one year Shop rent at Nkwo Nnewi or Onitsha Main Market.
However, Orjiegbulam should be commended, after all half loaf is better than none. But he should dream bigger next time.
The whole saga has its significance. It shows Ndi Imo the kind of Governor they have and what awaits them in future. That is why majority of them are unhappy with their Governor. Happy enough, they know what they should do. They can help themselves. They've done that before.
