6 Reasons Why You Should Not Miss The Upcoming Ondo Car Race If you were at the Sagamu Car Racing Event that held in May, I am pretty certain you’ve been looking forward to the next edition.. and if you missed the event, you can now stop blaming yourself as an all new edition is on the way. Work and Play Events which promoted the competition has now announced the Ondo State edition and it will be packed with even more fun.. I bet you won’t want to miss it for anything as I will be taking you through 6 reasons you should not miss the Ondo Rally Car Race in November, 2017.. 1) Showcase Your Talent Nico Rosberg retired from professional racing at the age of 31 after having 25 years of racing experience.. Do the math.. that means he starting racing at the age of 6. So don’t think you are too young. And if you think you are too old, Paul Newman started his racing career at age 47, won a race title at 70 and quit racing at 81. Don’t allow any obstruction stand between you and your talent.. If you can do it, then go for it. https://i63.tinypic.com/2j44nip.jpg 2) Millions Of Naira To Be Won: If you can’t spend 3 months in The Big Brother house and you can’t run the Lagos Marathon like Abraham Kiptum from Kenya.. why not try out car racing! you just might be the next Lewis Hamilton who is worth N88 Billion ($240 Million) at age 32. As for me, I am getting there as I won an unexpected prize as the second runner-up at the last Car Race competition held in Sagamu. Come try your talent and help us fetch the winning prize and trophy from the defending champion in the photo below. https://i67.tinypic.com/vxfcd5.jpg 3) Unlimited Fun There is no need searching for the definition of “Fun” on google or in your dictionary.. All you need to do is pack your bags and come feel the real deal at The Ondo Car Race competition. There will be lots of speed, music, bond, food and what ever you might want. Some adventurers will surely extend the fun by also touring several attractions in the state. What an amazing all round getaway! https://i63.tinypic.com/2lm297p.jpg 4) Tourist Attractions When you talk about the states with the most lovely skyline and scenery in Nigeria, Ondo State has to be one of them. The lovely mountain range will make you feel like you are in the French Alps. You will also get to see the Smoking Hill Golf Resort which has the best golf course in West Africa. Even if you don’t know how to play golf, make sure you take a ride round the massive golf course in their electric golf kart. Other attractions to visit after the car racing event are Erin Ijesha Waterfall, Idanre Hill, Elizade University and many others including the location “October 1st movie” was shot. https://i68.tinypic.com/2e0qwzb.jpg 5) Witness The Unveiling Of The First True Race Car In Nigeria If you love fast cars, then you can’t afford to miss the unveiling of the first true racing car in Nigeria. It is called “Tiger R6”.. As the name implies, it’s a Tiger that will chew all other cars on the road.. dashing from 0-100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds. That is 3 times faster than your Toyota Camry (Muscle).. Adios! https://i65.tinypic.com/2mw6ujs.jpg 6) Showcase Your Business: Several individuals and corporate entities have keyed into this racing event to showcase their businesses. An individual like me.. met several other business executives at the previous edition of the Car Race Event which was held in Sagamu. This has been a life changing experience for me. Also, some automobile companies are also using this medium to exhibit the performance prowess of their cars while the food and beverage companies distract the drives with their hot and spicy aroma. Some of the existing sponsors of the event are Toyota Nigeria, Volvo Nigeria, SMT, Lafarge, Flour Mills of Nigeria, Dinkkiia, Volt Energy Drink, Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Channels TV and many more. It is definitely a win win situation as you can come, partake in the race, have some fun with plenty of entertainment and food to eat, have an opportunity to win a mega prize and still sell your business in the process to those present at the event as well as those that would be watching from their television sets at home. Wow! https://i65.tinypic.com/2m5o40l.jpg About Work and Play Events The Ondo Rally Car Race is being organised by Work and Play. Work and Play is a dynamic platform that help Nigerians ease the tension away. Tyres let you have a smooth and safe drive. Since they play a vital role in your car, it is important to maintain them properly. Tyres deteriorate quickly because that's the only car component that makes contact with the hard road surface. However, you can make your car tyres last longer and save a lot of money with these simple steps... Maintain Recommended Pressure Inflate the tyres as recommended by the tyre and/or car manufacturer. Make sure all the tyres always have the required pressure.. This is usually stated on the pillar the driver's door locks into. Check the air pressure of the tyres occasionally (recent cars now come with tyre pressure monitoring systems). Over-inflating your tyre(s) is absolutely dangerous.. so is under-inflating. Tyre Rotation Tyre rotation is a good practice to extend the lifespan of your car tyres. It is recommended to rotate the tyres every 6, 000 miles. You can do the rotation by yourself or with the help of your vulcanizer or mechanic when you go for an oil change. It is advised to rotate the tyres diagonally from front to rear. Some vehicles have larger tyres in the rear compare to those in front.. In this case, consider rotating the tyres between the same axles. Visual Inspection Do visual inspections on regular basis.. the tyres may pick a nail, have a cut or uneven wear. Visual inspection will enable you to be proactive and not wait till the tyres are badly damaged before you act. Wheel Balancing and Alignment Bad wheel alignment will result in uncomfortable driving experience as well as quick tyre wear.. The wheel balancing and alignment should not cost you above N6,000 to do but you could end up having to buy a N60,000 tyre after the damage has been done. Accessories Don't forget to have your tyre related accessories like a good jack, wheel spanner, small air compressor etc. This will enable you attend to your car tyres anywhere and anytime without having to damage the car tyres. Something as simple as borrowing wheel spanners can damage the wheel knots. Avoid Potholes Although, this is difficult to achieve with the bad state of our roads... but you just have to avoid those potholes. They can deform your car tyres, damage the alignment and even cause a tyre burst. Add yours and don't forget to like and share. https://autojosh.com/x-ways-extend-life-car-tyres/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun

The 2018 Kia Rio is definitely good news for Kia Enthusiasts who have anticipated sophisticated style in subcompact form, modern details/just-right proportions and chassis tuning emphasis for capable handling dynamics. The new Rio's exterior offers a more chiseled appearance versus the outgoing model. The designers wanted the car to transmit a dynamic and stable look, with a prominent beltline, wider flanks, a longer hood and swept-back headlights. Kia's trademark "tiger nose" grille gives the Rio a distinctive look while a more upright windshield benefits interior space. Inside the Rio a new dash with a lower instrument panel further adds to the car's feeling of roominess. The lower dash is balanced by an elevated display for easy control of the central touchscreen. Other interior conveniences, including a standard 5-inch touchscreen display, satellite radio and a cell phone storage pocket, contribute to the new Rio's upscale feel, but keep in mind the base LX model won't include power windows or cruise control. An upgraded UVO3 infotainment and telematics system is standard on the 2018 Rio EX. The system features 19 services through Kia's latest downloadable app. These include tracking the vehicle's location and diagnostics. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay have been added for 2018, along with a cell-phone-powered navigation system. Powering the 2018 Rio is a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine making 130 horsepower and 119 pound-feet of torque. While peak power and torque dropped this year a broader torque curve offers grater power at a more useable RPM range. We can confirm the Rio is adequate in terms of power. It's not a quick car, but it will offer satisfying thrust and a relatively serene environment, even when mashing the pedal. Starting price is estimated at N8.5 million after shipping and clearing. Tell us what you like about the 2018 Kia Rio as well as what you don't if any. Don't forget to like, rate and share. The Story of the G-class Named “Otto” One man, one G, one life's work. That sums up the essence of an unprecedented global adventure. In 1988, when Gunther Holtorf and his wife Christine set out in their Mercedes-Benz 300 GD to visit as many of the countries around the world as possible, the G-Class was just ten years old. 26 years after, just under 900,000 kilometres, and 215 visited countries later; Gunther Holtorf drove his cherished G – christened 'Otto' – back home to Swabia. The marathon vehicle took pride of place in the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart-Untertürkheim, where it goes on show to visitors in the Classic Cars section. As a world-record holder, 'Otto' will also be immortalized in the Guinness World Records. When the vehicle was officially handed over to the Mercedes-Benz Museum, the driver and the vehicle equally impressed Dr Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars and he stated, "I promise that there will still be a G-Class in the future. Will there be more characters of Mr Holtorf's ilk in the future? I hope so," For 79-year-old Gunther Holtorf, he believed his Mercedes-Benz 300 GD, affectionately christened as 'Otto' by his wife Christene, is quite simply the expedition vehicle par excellence for this kind of (torturous) tour. He stated, "In 1988, when I bought the car I was a bit more sceptical about the promise made by Mercedes-Benz, namely "Where there's a G, there's a way". After all, I'd already seen something of the world beforehand and had a rough idea of what the vehicle would have to endure on this kind of world tour!" This initial scepticism gave way though to an unreserved trust in Otto's capabilities as the years went by. Even in the most precarious situations, the symbiosis between the Holtorfs and the G-Class grew. The 300 GD covered over 250,000km of the just under 900,000 kilometres off-road, which is perfectly in tune with its innate characteristics. On gravel or washboard roads, in mud, on pot-holed roads or rocky uphill stretches in the mountains - for the suspension and chassis this punishing workout is equivalent to around 2.5 million kilometers under normal central European conditions. In addition to the challenging terrain, there were also the disparate meteorological conditions to contend with, which 'Otto' took in its stride throughout all the world's climate zones - from the unforgiving searing heat of the desert, through steaming jungle regions to the freezing cold of the Arctic climes. As if the demands on the 300 GD were not already high enough, 'Otto' often had to contend with overweight which resulted from expedition gear and food, jerry cans, operating supplies, tools, recovery gear, spare parts and spare wheels. This fully tipped the scales at 3.3 tonnes which is around 500 kilograms in excess of the permissible gross vehicle weight. The roof alone of the cross-country vehicle had to take 400 kilograms. Still, this did not faze the world record vehicle. Gunther stated that the G-wagon was always overladen, which is why it was fitted with reinforced springs and bad-road shock absorbers. Otherwise, 'Otto' remains like any series-production vehicle. The entire drivetrain with the engine, transmission and axles is still original. Neither the frame nor the body have shown any signs of fatigue." By the time, the vehicle crossed the finish line, Gunther and his now deceased wife Christine Holtorf had travelled around 215 countries with Otto. "Travelled around - mind you!” emphasized the former pilot and aerospace manager. "A quick stop, with a stamp in your passport to prove it and a symbolic photo with the vehicle at the border crossing - that was never enough for us! In our eyes, you can only travel through a country once you've delved into the particular hemisphere, come into close contact with the locals and got to know their very many facets." Once a country had been ticked off according to these criteria, another red line was added to the personal world map "ROUND-THE-WORLD RECORD TOUR 1990 - 2014." This now definitive world map is crisscrossed by red lines and, in the course of his tour planning, had opened a few doors for Gunther Holtorf, letting him undertake journeys, which hitherto had been deemed impossible. Such as through entirely inaccessible countries like North Korea and Myanmar or the grand tour through China across 25,000 kilometres with only him at the wheel. Gunther Holtorf calls these journeys "pioneer tours" - the first time a foreign vehicle with a foreign driver was allowed to drive through the particular country. Before 'Otto' gets his definitive space in the Mercedes-Benz Museum, Gunther was sent out on the road again for two years from the end of February 2015 - travelling around the Mercedes-Benz Centres and company-owned sales and service outlets in Germany and Europe. 'Otto' accompanied a touring exhibition developed specially for the vehicle, recounting his interesting stopovers and most impressive experiences. More detailed about the „ ROUND-THE-WORLD-RECORD-TOUR 1989 - 2014“is available online https://autojosh.com/man-drives-benz-g-wagon-215-countries-26-years-covering-900000km/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun

1) Toyota G1 The company's name was known as Toyoda when the G1 was first revealed in November 1935. Toyoda wasn't too sure of the G1 that they loaded it with many replacement parts on its first road trip to an Auto Show incase something broke on the way. It was so unreliable that it was only bought by people who were sympathetic to local manufacturers and who were willing to endure its many failures.. and they were usually repaired for free by Toyota's factory engineers who used the opportunity to understand the vehicles even better. https://i63.tinypic.com/1pcu20.jpg 2) Honda T360 Launched in August 1963 with a 30hp engine at 8,500 rpm. 108,920 units of this rear wheeled pick up were produced between 1963 and August 1967.. and they all came in blue colour. https://i66.tinypic.com/x66xc.jpg 3) Nissan Model 70 Nissan started building the Model 70 in 1937 as a replica of the Indiana USA based Graham-Paige.. This was due to the fact that Nissan built a new factory in Yokahama in 1934, and all the defunct Graham Paige's equipment was installed in the new factory. This huge investment gave Nissan the largest and most modern factory in Japan at that time. The Model 70 had a 6 cylinder engine producing 85hp. https://i64.tinypic.com/uags2.jpg 4) Subaru 1500 It came with a 1.5 litre four-cylinder engine which was sourced from Peugeot and the car in-fact looks like a Peugeot 403. Six units were provided to taxi companies for testing.. and they all had successful results. https://i65.tinypic.com/2ugm7ly.jpg 5) Suzuki Suzulight Built from 1955 to 1969, the Suzulight created the pathway for Suzuki to enter the car market after making motorcycles successfully. It came with double wishbone coil-sprung suspensions, with rack-and-pinion steering which made the car to be far ahead its time and peers. https://i66.tinypic.com/dpcr3p.jpg 6) Mitsubishi Model A Mitsubishi company was established as a shipping firm by Yatarō Iwasaki in 1873. Mercedes-Benz is the most valuable European premium automotive brand according to the latest rankings of the "Best Global Brands 2017" report published by well-known US brand consultancy Interbrand. Coming in at ninth place, the brand with the star is the only European company to rank among the top 10 of the world's 100 most valuable brands. Compared with last year, the value of the brand grew by ten percent to 47.83 billion dollars. Mercedes-Benz has therefore consistently improved its leading position since 2009 and is one of the world's strongest brands. "We're delighted to have firmly established ourselves among the world's most valuable and best brands," says Dr. Jens Thiemer, Vice President Marketing Mercedes-Benz Cars. "This demonstrates that we're well placed worldwide with our future-oriented strategy CASE, a consistently innovative brand identity and our wide-ranging product portfolio. With our unique combination of tradition and modernity as well as constant innovation as part of the Mercedes-Benz brand DNA, we are ideally placed to play a successful and active role in helping shape the necessary transformations of the digital age." Becoming even better at anticipating the needs of customers, developing new areas of business at higher speed and ensuring even shorter product launch times, these are some of the ways in which Mercedes-Benz aims to successfully shape its future. Yet mobility in the digital age means change for customers and manufacturers alike. The Stuttgart-based company is today more successful on social media than any other premium automotive brand in the world. Day after day, the brand interacts with millions of fans and followers around the world. Hence, one of the reasons cited by the authors of this year's Interbrand study, entitled "Grow. Change. Grow." for the brand's further growth in value is that Mercedes-Benz is successfully promoting and helping shape the cultural transformation both within the company and in society. This year marks the 18th time that the annual "Best Global Brands" study has been published by Interbrand. The study is considered by leading CEOs worldwide to represent the competitive benchmark for the value of international brands. The study is designed to identify the world's 100 most valuable brands. https://autojosh.com/mercedes-benz-wins-valuable-european-premium-automotive-brand-award/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun

If you have no reason to love the 2017 Borgward Isabella, I guess it's worth loving for those doors only. The car is an electric drive, fully digital interconnectivity and a revolutionary interior and operating concept – these are the visionary features with which the Borgward ISABELLA Concept celebrates its world premiere at the IAA 2017. The four-door coupe stands out with its design, demonstrating the future direction of the entire Borgward company. The goal: stylistic synergies between beauty and technology. Borgward is an automobile manufacturer that was founded by Carl F. W. Borgward (November 10, 1890 – July 28, 1963). The original company, based in Bremen in Germany, ceased operations in 1961. The Borgward group produced four brands of cars: Borgward, Hansa, Goliath and Lloyd. The marque was revived by Carl Borgward's grandson, Christian Borgward, with his partner Karlheinz L. Knöss, and assistance from Chinese investment in 2008. It unveiled the company's first new car in over 50 years, the BX7 at the 2015 International Motor Show. (Wikipedia). In this car, Borgward Group AG has presented the Borgward ePROPÚLSION electric drive system platform. The battery, which was jointly developed by Borgward and its strategic partner LG Electronics, makes a big impression with its high energy density. In the next development steps, the drive platform's electric range is due to be increased to as much as 500 kilometers. The charging cycle to 80 percent capacity takes only 30 minutes at a fast-charging station. The Isabella can be recharged inductively as well. The eAWD electronic control and electric motors at both the front and the rear axle turn the Isabella into an all-wheel-drive vehicle with a fully variable torque distribution system. The two permanent magnet synchronous motors with integrated converters have a combined output of 300 hp, deliver a maximum torque of 332 lb-ft. As a result, the vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, and its thunderous forward thrust does not end until 250 km/h is reached. The car gets sport/sport + mode, integrated two tablet computers for rear seat passengers, a lounge-like interior design, arge 21-inch wheels, electronically operated flush-mounted door openers and many more. Price remains unknown till it goes into production https://autojosh.com/2017-borgward-isabella-revealed-return-icon-photos/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun The first picture is a 1960 Borgward Isabella

halima83:I checked it on Auction Export. |
halima83:If you don't want the car again, they will charge you the $400 or 10% of the value of the car which you deposited before the purchase. This amount might vary depending on the original seller auctionexport is getting the vehicle from. If you are buying it as a non-drivable car, the shipper can book it as a non-runner and you will be charged a $200 fee for that. The full import duty on the 2009 Ford Edge is N1.3m but you can also talk to your clearing agent to get a compromised duty from Nigeria Customs.. You may end up paying N1m or N1.1m for import duty. Make sure they don't do short-payment because the vehicle may get seized eventually. @Lexusgs430 has listed most of the parts you'll need to buy.. You can get the estimated price at Ford Parts market around Clegg Street, Ojuelegba if you are in Lagos. If you are buying the parts from USA, do the junk yard. Don't go buying new parts from the dealership except for the parts you can't find out there. The reason is, that vehicle has several little bit of components.. which you have to buy one by one if you are buying the new part. The price you got that vehicle is a giveaway.. note that you may also have issues with the rear wheel/suspension especially on the driver's side (it's bent).. the vehicle also has a leaking roof problem. |
In a bid to curb the proliferation of Illegally use and importation of bullet proof vehicles in Nigeria, the office in charge of End User Certificate (EUC), the office of the National Security Adviser has issued a statement saying that the EUC is compulsorily required for the importation of all controlled items into the country. According to the office, it is pertinent to ensure the safety of citizens life and property and as such listed controlled items, which include: arms and ammunitions of all kinds, (lethal and non-lethal); all forms of bullet proof materials including vehicles, vests, ballistic materials and bullion, vans among others. It was further stated that EUCs are issued in order to prevent such items from being diverted within the buyer country or re-exported under undesirable conditions and thus find their ways into illicit market. EUC tracks the shipment of controlled items to ensure that the buyer is the actual recipient of the items and to certify that there are no plans to transfer them to other parties. Honda Motor Corporation has Recalled 1.1 Million Accords for Potential Electrical Fires. Honda is recalling more than 1.1 million Accord sedans and coupes in the U.S. for an electrical short circuit that may cause a fire under the hood. According to the company, the 2013–2016 Accord is equipped with a sensor on the 12-volt battery's negative cable with an improper weather seal. Water, salt, and other corrosive materials could contact the sensor and cause a short, which then could affect the electrical resistance and heat up the sensor enough to start a fire. It will be recalled that this fire scenario has happened at least four times in the salt belt states. Honda did not report any accidents or injuries. To this end, Dealers will replace the battery sensors. Damaged sensors will be replaced immediately, while those that are intact will be sealed with an adhesive initially, until enough new parts arrive for every sensor under recall to be replaced. Are you thinking of buying a car soon? Probably Yes. So be careful as flooded cars will be hitting the Nigerian Auto Market pretty soon. With over 1,000,000 cars being totaled by Hurricane Harvey and Irma... a great chunk of them is definitely heading to Nigeria. Our Government will prolly do nothing to stop these cars from getting here.. but you can do something to prevent yourself from buying one. Buying a cheap and flooded car will most likely do you more harm than good.. such cars usually give unlimited issues like engine knock, transmission problems and some other epileptic attitudes like windows rolling down instead of going up or the volume of the sound system going up while you are trying to reduce some noise. Do a thorough inspection, do a VIN check before you buy the next and don't fall victim of a lemon car. Have you gotten one of such flooded cars before, tell us your experience in the comment section. Don't forget to share. https://autojosh.com/incredible-storage-photos-flooded-cars-hurricane-harvey/

One of the most significant feature of the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evo is the air scoop which improves all the aerodynamic of the car It comes with the Lamborghini V10 5.2cc engine with 620hp and an XTrac sequential gearbox developed specifically for the Huracán Super Trofeo Evo. The control unit is the MOTEC M182 that controls data, gear changes and the TFT display mounted on the dashboard. Special features are the traction control and the Bosch Motorsport ABS. This system features 10 different settings that can be actioned directly on the steering wheel for ideal set-up in any weather/track conditions. The race-oriented steering wheel has been developed jointly with OMP. The new Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo will be again exclusively equipped with Pirelli tyres. Pirelli has followed every phase of the new car’s development - from the first drawings to final road tests - in order to create tyres that are perfectly matched to the Lamborghini’s specific characteristics. In particular, the decision to go with two-wheel drive for the new Huracán Super Trofeo has led to new tyre sizes: 305/660-18 at the front, and 315/680-18 at the back. Would you buy for N108 million? Volvo Cars, the premium car maker, has expanded its line-up of SUVs with the launch of its new 2018 Volvo XC40 small premium SUV in Milan, Italy. At the same time as it introduces the XC40, Volvo Cars also reinvents the traditional model of car ownership with its new ‘Care by Volvo’ subscription service. Care by Volvo, first available on the XC40 from launch, makes having a car as transparent, easy and hassle free as having a phone. A monthly flat-fee subscription means down payments, price negotiations and local price differences belong to the past. XC40 drivers will also be the first Volvo customers who can share their car with friends and family via Volvo on Call with a new digital key technology. Car sharing comes as standard for Care by Volvo customers. The arrival of the XC40 means that for the first time in its history, Volvo Cars has three new, globally available SUVs in what is the fastest growing segment of the automotive market, paving the way for further growth in terms of sales and profitability. The new XC40 is the first model on Volvo Cars’ new modular vehicle architecture (CMA), which will underpin all other upcoming cars in the 40 Series including fully electrified vehicles. Co-developed within Geely, CMA provides the company with the necessary economies of scale for this segment. “The XC40 is our first entry in the small SUV segment, broadening the appeal of the Volvo brand and moving it in a new direction,” said Håkan Samuelsson, president and chief executive. “It represents a fresh, creative and distinctive new member of the Volvo line-up. So it only feels natural to reveal the XC40 here in Milan, a buzzing European hotspot for fashion, art, design and lifestyle.” In terms of technology, the XC40 brings the award-winning safety, connectivity and infotainment technologies known from the new 90- and 60 Series cars to the small SUV segment. Like its larger siblings, the XC40 highlights the transformational effect of these new, in-house developed technologies on brand and profitability. These technologies make the XC40 one of the best-equipped small premium SUVs on the market. Safety and driver assistance features on the XC40 include Volvo Cars’ Pilot Assist system, City Safety, Run-off Road protection and mitigation, Cross Traffic alert with brake support and the 360° Camera that helps drivers manoeuvre their car into tight parking spaces. The XC40 also offers a radically new approach to storage inside the car. Ingenious interior design provides XC40 drivers with, among other things, more functional storage space in the doors and under the seats, a special space for phones including inductive charging, a fold-out hook for small bags and a removable waste bin in the tunnel console. From start of production, the XC40 will be available with a D4 diesel or a T5 petrol four-cylinder Drive-E powertrain. Further powertrain options, including a hybridised as well as a pure electric version, will be added later. The XC40 will also be the first Volvo model to be available with Volvo Cars’ new 3-cylinder engine. Production of the new XC40 starts in Volvo Cars’ plant in Ghent, Belgium in November, while order books and the Care by Volvo subscription package are open for customers now. Is it a hit or a miss for you? https://autojosh.com/2018-volvo-xc40/

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YUPzVgQy40 With Ford's high popularity among Police Departments in the U.S, it's no wonder that some of their Interceptors have become so well-known. This video picks up with the 1950's and the Ford Mainline, which was originally available in multiple body styles and configurations, although the 4-door sedan proved best for Police duties. The 1952 Interceptor was particularly well-equipped to handle its business, thanks to "24 hour duty" front seats and a new 125 HP V8 engine, although the 215 HP Interceptor from 1956 offered a real upgrade over older models. Fast-forward to 1971 and you've got the 429 CI V8 Galaxie, while 1982 saw the arrival of the Mustang SSP, which stayed in service for 11 years while providing cops with a speedier alternative compared to their usual 4-door sedan models. Of course, if we're talking about the 80's, we can't just skip over the most popular police car of all time, the Crown Vic, which as a model range, persisted until quite recently, while undergoing several generational changes. While the early 2010's marked the arrival of the Taurus Interceptor, packing a twin turbo EcoBoost V6 and all-wheel drive, it's the 2018 Fusion Hybrid sedan that now packs the most technology. https://autojosh.com/evolution-iconic-police-ford-car-photo-video/ Credit: Carscoops http://www.carscoops.com/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xK6CQqY4YJk Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has reached a new milestone with 150 million vehicles produced globally. It took 73 years for Nissan to produce its first 100 million vehicles after the company was founded in 1933, and another 11 years to build the last 50 million. Nissan sees this achievement as the result of 84 years of continued support from all of its stakeholders worldwide, including employees, dealers, suppliers and local communities, as well as the numerous customers who have chosen cars produced by Nissan. When Nissan reached the 100 million vehicle milestone in 2006, 76.5% of the total vehicles had been produced in Japan. Localization of production accelerated in the past 11 years, during which 76.5% of the 50 million Nissan vehicles were made outside Japan – driven in particular by the U.S. and China. Following this latest milestone, Nissan remains committed to delivering cars that satisfy its customers. https://autojosh.com/nissan-built-150-million-vehicles-since-1933/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Ishilove Marpol Semid4lyfe Obinoscopy Seun

Whether you left your lights on or you're just being a good Samaritan, jumping a car is an essential skill that when done with confidence is quick and easy. Just make sure you've always got a pair of jumper cables in your roadside emergency kit. 1. Park both cars nose to nose about a foot and a half apart. For automatics make sure the car is in park, for manual transmissions keep the car in neutral and set the parking brake. 2. With both cars turned off and the key out of each ignition, pop the hoods and get down to business. If either car's battery is corroded or looks suspect, don't attempt to jump the car yourself—instead call a pro, the battery may need replacing. 3. Identify the positive and negative terminals on each battery. Along with a plus-sign, the positive terminal can be identified by red coloring; for the negative side look for a minus-sign and black coloring. 4. Now, Identify the positive and negative ends of your jumper cables—red for positive, black for negative. Make sure the metal ends don't touch one another throughout the process. Note: Different jumper cables have different markings. Our advice? Go for the most simple color-coded option. 5. Start by attaching the red/positive jumper cable to the dead battery's positive terminal. 6. Attach the other end of the red/positive cable to the live battery's positive terminal. 7. Now attach the black/negative end of the cable to the live battery's negative terminal first. 8. With the other end of the negative cable, attach it to a metal non-painted part of the car under the hood with the dead battery. Stay away from the battery itself and attach the cable to the engine block—unpainted bolts are a good go-to. Some cars have a jumping post for this purpose—check your owner's manual and be sure to avoid moving parts like belts or fans. 9. Now clear the area. 10. Start the engine of the car with the live battery. Let it run for a few minutes and lightly rev the engine. 11. Now, start the car with the dead battery. If she starts, let her run for a few minutes. If she doesn't start the first time, give it another minute to two of rest with the good car running. If it still doesn't work, you may need to check your connections or call for help. 12. Once the dead car is running, disconnect the cables in the reverse order you put them on (i.e. negative connection on dead car, negative connection on good car's battery then positive cable from good car's battery and finally positive cable from bad car's battery). Always check the owner's manual to see if your car requires a different process. 13. You've just saved your day or someone else's, celebrate by studying up on your owner's manual.
