Yoi have already confirmed that your PCM is ok . The issue is a bus communication issue which is Honda design architecture, that is beyond what ordinary Kazeem can understand, you need to invite a technicians that can read wiring diagram help you out . I can give you a remote support if you contact me. |

larrixauto2017: Hey engineer you are right but did you know that we have types of car diagnosis. 1) mechanical diagnosis 2)electrical diagnosis 3)computer diagnosis/ computerized scanning which i called scan. 4) a/c diagnosis. E.t.c Thank you Diagnosis simply is just a technical procedure to toubleshoot and narrow down the root cause of issue . Depending on the issue at hand ,the procedure of diagnosis might not even involve scan at all .And most of the time scanning might just be one single test procedure out of 100 other numerous test to perfom a troubleshooting issues. In Autologic workshop for only powertrain alone ,we have up to 50 diagnosis dedicated eqiupment and others troubleshooting procedure, scanning is just one out of numerous test like -Cylinder Compression ,Leak down test ,fuel pressure test ,evap leak test using smoke machine, temperature readout tools, radiator tester, electrical powerscan tool , Signal generator & analyser, labscope and so others ones So with all the troubleshooting equipment & procedure mentioned above ,it will be technically incorrect to use the word " scanning" to refer to them all instead of Diagnosis So using the word diagnosis refer to the general test . |

okerekeikpo: error codes PO231, PO501,P1507,P0204 Your fuel pump design is two speed - High and low And the PCM determine the particular fuel speed at different conditions eg high speed @ starting and low speed @ idle. The cause of the black smoke is that the fuel pump is put @ permanent high speed . Hence your car will be perpetually and extremely consuming fuel @ all condition which is the reason for the black smoke. |

4llerbuntu: Please i still need help with my AC.
it still works at random. and works just fine when it works
When it stops working apparently the diagnosis is: the compressor is not getting power, but the relay and fuses are ok.
Went to change the AC switch panel on the dash and the guy was honest enough to tell me he didn't think there's anything wrong with the one i have there at the moment
he then removed the relay and stuck a wire into the slots, and the compressor starts. he said the Relay is fine which is really confusing......
also watched another stick a long screwdriver down to push the AC Clutch and it started. that one said the AC clutch needs to be 'serviced' whatever that means. Doesn't add up for me because like i said the system does work fine when it works.....
I just need to know precisely what needs to be fixed. Thus far no one seems to be sure. Haven't let anyone touch anything though. Not a big fan of guesswork.
Please help, who has an idea why this is....... mosbus gazzuzz radautoworks autologic change the AC clutch .It is losing already it magnetism which account for it working intermittently. To confirm this ,do this check when the AC compressor is down(with the AC switch On) Remove the compressor input power feed connector and confirm if it still carrying 12v even when the compressor is not working and if so then my claim is right . |

Johnsonkeyz2019: My Honda Accord AC is turning itself on automatically without me pressing the Button so I'm forced to use AC Everytime when I drive Please what could be wrong ? The compressor clutch is normally turned ON by ground controlled relay from the PCM which get triggered from the Hvac switch via a bus signal . To get reasonable answer ,u need to revert by answering this question. What is the repair history of the AC ? Any recent electrical repair done on the car recently just before this issue? On what condition does the compressor turn itself on ? |

But the issue I have is I don't have that much in my savings I have around 200k for now
I pray God can use someone to bless me with a vehicle even with my low budget +2347031152989 thanks I will advise you to be very careful before you part away with your hard earned money in a buying of "supposed be low budget car " cos low budget cars in Nigerian context automatically translate to more problems, victim of "had I know and more "nairaland Dankok " If you cannot save towards buying toks that will give peace of mind ,get a very competent and seasoned tech to help do a thorough pre-purchase inspection and I can bet you the poor tech dude can get to extent of checking up to 10 cars or even more before getting something ,close to reasonable. Car Talk › Re: Overheating Problems, Help! by autologic: 5:59am On Feb 24, 2019 |
billy187: Hello everyone! it's a bit of a long epistle but please give it a read and help me, if possible!
I drive an '03 Ford Focus. It has been quite trouble free with only routine maintenance for the last few years. However since December, I have been having these weird episodes of the car threatening to overheat, especially in extended traffic jams( doesn't usually matter the time, though middays are particularly troublesome). However, the car's temp will stabilize as soon as I turn on the air conditioning.
I first traced the problem to a dodgy primary cooling fan. I changed the fan, and the problem seemed to go away, temporarily.
It was then apparent that my expansion tank had a crack in it. It wasn't too big, but then I believed it would be enough to mess up the pressure of my cooling system (my car does not have a radiator cap,) I then sought another expansion tank from my mechanic.
After searching for an extended period however, he could not find the exact type of expansion tank. He however found a smaller one that fit quite well. The problem, however, never really went away- although it was a bit better.
Things however came to a head last week as my temperature needle quickly settled in the red on my way to work. I pulled over, and whiles the coolant hadn't boiled, the hose leading to my thermostat housing had expanded to more than twice its size. I quickly removed the thermostat on the side of the road and made it to work
I automatically assumed my thermostat had failed closed, thus solving my mystery. Boy, was I wrong.
Three days later in extreme rush hour traffic, I caught the temp needle inching away from it's normal midpoint to the red...I quickly turned on the air conditioning and the needle quickly fled to it's point at the center. Sigh. The problem was back! When I got home and checked, the pipe leading to the thermostat housing had expanded once again.
I have multiple suspicions, highest of which is the smaller expansion tank. I believe it has affected the pressure of the entire cooling system. I will add pictures of the old and new tanks so yalls can be the judge.
Could it also be that my head gasket is going? I haven't really given this much of thought as the signs (oil in coolant/ vice versa,) are not noticable. however I do have to fill coolant every week or so (noticed thermostat housing is leaking as well).
Thanks for reading this far and not dying of boredom (or disappointing election results). Please help a brother!
cheers! Go for cooling system leakage test.

tolugar: Bros from experience and the research I did online,
Toyota Corolla 2012
The steering was stiff and both the steering and battery light was on.
After so many stories about the steering pump etc, they checked the alternator and discovered its dead.
So, I replaced the alternator and boom, the steering was free.
I chatted online with Toyota agent https://www.toyotaofgreenville.com/service/research/maintenance/signs-of-a-failing-
who told me Bla Bla Bla about alternator and since it takes a lot of power to control the steering which the battery can't offer..
. You are getting yourself confused further ,the issue at hand is mechanical power steering used but you kept hammering on different technology entirely which is EPS system used by late model vehicles and it depend totally on alternator voltage output . |
Car Talk › Re: Toyota Corolla Steering Is Hard To Turn by autologic: 7:56am On Dec 08, 2018 |
tolugar: If your battery light is showing,
It's alternator.
Also check fuse
The steering wheel power comes directly from the alternator.
Using it like that means your battery will soon give up in matter of minutes. Pls remove this ,you are confused ! Your steering was hard cos serpentine belt was broken or removed and it still the same belt that drive the alternator which was why it wasn't working . So no working relationship whatsoever btw alternator and power steering .Alternator is electrical device while power steering system is wholly mechanical. |
